There’s no luthier I’d rather come to. I came in with a piece of scrap and I left with an absolute masterpiece. Their man texted me regularly to update me on his progress, and he took immense pride in his work. I was incredibly impressed, and I can’t thank them enough. I’m a novice at best, and at no point was I treated like an idiot. They were friendly and accommodating. They did their best to come under my maximum budget and all they asked was that I give the guitar a try and see how I felt. I’ve named her fivecent, and they helped her into existence. Thank you guys, really. These are your guys, no question.
Neil was great, he not only went above and beyond to make my guitar case work for me but he is also very professional and a pleasure to work with. Neil is definitely a credit to AZ Music Pro, the staff there is always ready to help with all of your music needs. Thank you, you guys are the best 🙂
AZ Music Pro is THE resource for all your musical needs! Jack is the friendliest, most helpful guy in the world! Tony can help you get that old axe sharpened to a fine point! Support a local music institution and go see all the wonderful people at AZ Music Pro!

Thank you Neil!! This guy totally hooked up the hardware. Then actually took the time to explain to me, how to do it myself. Quality merch and inspiring customer service.
I’ve been in this store many times. Sometimes I found what I was looking for and some not. But I have never been treated with anything but concern for what I needed. “Just a suggestion to all folks that don’t like the way people look at them. Take a look in the mirror at what they see.”
As a pro musician, this store did not have enough pro-quality stuff. Charges $12 for a set of strings that typically cost $7 anywhere else. The young red-headed dude behind the counter was condescending to me as I am female and he thought that even though I was asking for a specific set of strings that I might not know what I am asking for. Too bad…had high hopes for this place and was sorely disappointed.
This store has the worst service I’ve ever experienced the employees are rude and unhelpful, their selection of guitars under 600 dollars is awful for people who can’t afford to pay their same rent for a guitar. Even getting your guitar restrung is 30 bucks. The only reason this business is still open is because it’s the only guitar store in flagstaff and has no competition. If you really want a good deal, drive down to Phoenix and go to guitar center.
Try Facebook marketplace or anywhere else. This place will rip you off. Plus they aren’t very polite and won’t let you play their instruments if they don’t think you Look like you can afford it.
2. Tommy Rocks
Address: 110 Main St, Jerome, AZ 86331 , Dilkon , Arizona , United States
Tommy is the nicest guy!! We chatted all things music and ukes for about 45 minutes. He is so helpful and knowledgeable. I bought the kala ubass from him and got a great deal!!! You don’t want to miss this uke shop!!! A real treat and lots of good quality ukes at great prices.
He always has great things here
I first time visiting. Why haven’t I seen this shop before? I shall return. Thanks
An awesome rock and roll memorabilia shop in historic Jerome Arizona…kind of hard to find tho.
Dude man. Stick to some normal operating hours. I’ve passed through Jerome twice now and you haven’t been opened when you said you were supposed to be. It’s 10:30 am now says your supposed to be open on google. Sorry for the poor review but really wanna check out your store
3. John’s Corner Music Shop
Address: 8680 AZ-69, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 , Dilkon , Arizona , United States
John and his crew are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. John took the time to teach me a few things about my instrument and did a few quick adjustments. He also showed us some of his projects. This man is incredible!
Came in looking for a baritone ukulele, and ended up making some good friends. The prices are great and the service is amazing. As a young (16) aspiring performer visiting from California, I came in with my grandma and was looking for a ukulele with good quality… and found more than I was looking for. John is so sweet and I got to jam out with him for a little bit. I have never received such amazing customer service from a music store like this before. I would definitely recommend this store to friends and family.
Went there yesterday. Jack fixed my guitar and put strings on. The price is so reasonable it’s hard to belive.
And Jack well can’t say enough about him.
Thank you guys for everything!!!!
wouldn’t give it even one star! I just went in to grab some guitar strings and was never once acknowledged the whole time I was there. Not even a greeting. needless to say I walked out. Not sure what the deal is in this town but I have yet to encounter any sort of professionalism with the businesses here!!!
Low quality gear that is way over priced.
4. De-No Music Center
Address: 801 E Florence Blvd # B, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 , Dilkon , Arizona , United States
For a small town Music Store, DENO’S, is by far the best. All the Staff are knowledgeable. Their prices on both new and used instruments is very reasonable. They also Service instruments. I’ve had a “Setup”, done on every guitar I’ve owned in these parts, most of which I bought at Deno’s. I recommend this business HIGHLY…
Knowledgeable staff and oh so helpful to this mom who knows nothing about music! My son decided to join band and I had no idea what I was doing. Came here and they helped us through the whole process! Awesome customer service!
They keep all the instruments in the same room so if you are going to test any accoustic instruments it may sound slightly better when you get home or on stage.
Works in a pinch but lacking in customer service.
Great help getting my son’s instrument
I’ve been there quite a few times before. As a child the owner was alright but somehow he just became rude after a while. There was a time when I was 19(9 years ago) and there was an 800 dollar Jackson on the wall that I really wanted. I brought $850 dollars with me and jammed out on it for about 5 minutes, the owner came up to me and said “If you put one scratch on this I’m going to make you pay for it, do you understand?” I know I look young and I looked about 15 at the time but there have been several times(like yesterday{let me play for 4 minutes and told my party to leave when I wanted to buy a practice amp}) that I brought money in to make a purchase of over 300 dollars and he makes me uncomfortable or says something rude. If you need a reed, or if you need a rental, this is a good place. If you’re a musician, and you want to try stuff out, drive 40 minutes, the owner has been rude to me for 15 years. I swear he hates musicians.
Came in for guitar picks and strings and was thinking of buying an acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked if I could play it he said “yes”. I played a couple chords and got kicked out for playing it to “hard”.
Went to buy a guitar but no assistance from the clerk was offered and large sign indicated you can’t touch them without assistance so we left. Makes it difficult to make a purchase. To be fair the clerk was waiting on another customer but just continued to ignore us and didn’t even bother to say “hello” when we entered the store. Not much available there in the way of instruments unless you need used amps, guitar stands, cheap guitars, or ukuleles.
5. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Dilkon , Arizona , United States
Went in to have my violin repaired. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Violin was repaired by next day. Would recommend. 🙂
I could not be more pleased with my experience. I am a local musician and like to support family owned stores when I can. The challenge is I am a guitar player and know less than zero about flutes (purchasing for my wife’s birthday). I wish I could remember the managers name- he was amazing and super patient explaining what I needed to know to feel comfortable with my flute purchase. Great shopping experience and my wife Loved the flute.
Excellent repair service, Gabe is top notch electronics repair man
As well as excellent guitar repair/set up intonation by Bruce Brindley
There are my go-to for all my service needs.
This place is cool. Ppl are nice. IN THE HOOD IM LIKE PRINCESS DIANNA!!!
-Ice Spice 687:927
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
I went here to have a new nut out on an old guitar of mine. The nut is cut too short making the strings buzz. Now I am left fixing it myself which sucks since I paid almost $60 to have it fixed.
Called to inquire about an instrument. Owner laughed at my question and was extremely rude. He didn’t answer my questions, and refused to give any useful information.
First off, I want to be upfront, I intended to rent a bell kit form this store for my 5th grade daughter. I didn’t get that far, so I think it’s only fair to disclose, this review is entirely based on my first impression.
Friday I spoke to a woman on the phone who was very helpful. I ended up reserving the bell kit online to pick up at the store on Saturday. I’ll admit I never checked their closing time and I, unfortunately, arrived in their parking lot on Saturday at 5:03PM. They closed at 5:00PM. I have my very excited 5th grader in the car, so I thought, I’m not going to give up, yet. There were customers still exiting the store. I grabbed the door and went in as one of them exited. I went to the checkout counter where I explained my situation briefly to the man still checking customers out. He made it seem like it was something they could possibly do, until a woman walked up and immediately shut it down. She explained they could not check me out today and I would have to come back on Monday when they opened at 10:00AM. Again, I want to be clear, it was my fault for being late. They had already closed. I completely understand why they shouldn’t have to help me out, but they were clearly still checking people out, so the registers weren’t closed. All I’m saying is, how nice would that have been if they did help. It would have been a really nice gesture that could have gone a long way. I still have two more kids coming up behind my 5th grader that will most likely want to be in their 5th grade band, too. Plus, I’m a mom and mom’s talk. I would have definitely spread the word about a place that went out of their way to help me. It’s a shame. I’m all about supporting family owned businesses. They are usually the ones that make these types of exceptions for people.
6. The Blue Note
Address: 3250 Gateway Blvd #262, Prescott, AZ 86303 , Dilkon , Arizona , United States
I live in the valley where we have a few great guitar stores but Blue Note in Prescott is a rare gem. Rick the owner is a threat guy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He carries Gibson, Fender, Gretchen, Epiphone, Harley Benton, Ibanez, and a boat load of other guitars you won’t see a Guitar Center. If your a beginner to professional this shop has something for everyone. This is one of the nicest music stores I’ve ever been in. There are a lot bigger stores but none nicer. If your in Prescott and love guitar your missing out if you don’t visit this place.
Great place to find something different.
Best guitar shop I’ve ever been to! Fantastic customer service, went to several different shops looking for a first guitar. None of the other shops showed the same respect for a beginner artist.
Listed as open on Monday. Drove from Spring Valley to find them closed. Need to correct this.
The owner is a pretty cool guy. Very knowledgeable on everything in the store. He has also made guitars for some of the biggest names in music history.
The owner of this establishment is beyond rude, he didn’t answer any questions (which I believe is because he has 0 knowledge of anything pertaining to his little business) and he over prices everything. I understand it’s a local business so prices will be higher but his USED banged up instruments are at least 70% higher than anywhere else for the same NEW instruments which is unreasonable.
I’ll be shopping at a honest local music shop.
Thank You
7. Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Dilkon , Arizona , United States
Bought an electric violin and amp from Milano yesterday and they gave a nice discount. When buying an instrument it’s important to hold it and play it. You can’t beat buying from a local music store with extensive stock, a knowledgeable salesperson, and a great price.
So helpful
We love this place! Every single person that I’ve dealt with is knowledgeable, encouraging, and well-versed in their specialty.
Expensive!!!
Daughter violin
Needed a quick item, walked in, asked for help and was out the door with what I needed in less than 10 minutes – farther than my closest music store, but definitely my preference to drive and get what I need!
Too expensive!
While the store is nice and I did purchase a ukulele there, they did not set up the ukulele I purchased and I felt really rushed as it was later in the day and they just wanted to leave. Fast forward a year later, I purchased another ukulele from a different source and brought it there to get strung for a low G and asked them to set up the ukulele, particularly to file down the frets. My boyfriend picked it up for me and there were still sharp edges and the attitude when we dropped it off was so poor as if they didn’t want to do the work to begin with. So I’m disappointed with the service here and will not use them for service or purchase from them in the future.
Called in to order a replacement part for my trumpet and this guy starts asking me about where I bought my horn and telling me that I should go back to doing business with them. If you’re a dealer for the brand horn I have why does it matter who I bought it from? Are you selling the part or not? Then the disrespectful clown hangs up on me?!?! Not sure how you guys do business treating potential customers like that, I’ll definitely take my business elsewhere and will not recommend anyone else to do business with you.
