Very helpful! Got my first guitar here years ago! WILL DICKSON and JAGUAR JAKE are juts ignorant and mad! THE WORLD DOESNT REVOLVE AROUND YOU insignifiCUNTS!!
All of my kids love to play musical instruments, and this store has everything they need. From books to guitar picks and drums to xylophones. The repairs are reasonable and the staff is helpful. We love the atmosphere and quick service.
The service here is absolutely amazing! Friendly people, who are willing to get to know you and want to help you in your musical journey. Small and sweet store with lots of possibilities. I recommend this store to anyone from beginners to experienced.
Great selection for modern guitars. It’s not the same old selection of just fenders like at other stores. They have PRS, Ibanez and other great brands.
The manager is a great help and knowledgeable, helped me with choosing new kind of strings I havent tried before.
Also looks like he is trying to get new innovative products and not stuck in 1970.
They had a book I needed.
The selection is pretty pathetic. Employees are just not knowledgeable enough to properly assist in tracking down desired instrument. They were pleasant and helpful as they could be, but we’re not in a position to provide useful assistance.
Walked in this store to have a saxophone, that I recieved as a Christmas gift, serviced. I was greeted (I use the term ‘greeted’ extremely loosely) by a younger gal, with blue hair. She immediately turned her lip up at me once she saw the brand of saxophone and said she couldn’t help me with parts for “that brand”. You see, I have been out of the music loop for about 10 years and was excited to get back into lessons and eventually purchase a nice jazz saxophone, once I got back into my groove. I was so turned off by the attitude I recieved that I thanked her for her time and left the store. Unfortunately this store is literally blocks from my home, but after the experience I just can’t see myself patronizing this establishment. My hand has now been forced to drive across town or to loveland/fort Collins for my music needs. It is truly a shame that small businesses have employees that are allowed to conduct themselves in such a manner that drives individuals away from reconnecting and following their passions.
How am I supposed to buy anything if u close so early some people, work don’t u know . Try staying open till 7 or 8.
Gina is a consummate musical instrument expert, especially when it comes to Flutes, Horns, and the litany of Brass Band instruments. I reached out via email to her business after hours and received a return phone call immediately and she proceeded to run me thru the gamut of her Saxophone collection on hand and educated me on each and every one I inquired about and lastly she offered an a phenomenal deal on a mint condition Sax that I would have been foolish to bypass. To top it all off she had the instrument overnighted to me (unbeknownst to me). My inspection proved that she was spot on in her description on the instruments condition. I can’t give enough accolades to Gina and her team. Thanks a million Gina!!!
Ordered a used king trombone. Was in really good condition. No surprise damages or anything, I’d order from here again
We were looking for a professional Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone online for WEEKS, when we came across this store. We were able to get the Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone used (but in impecable condition) for an excellent price. A new Getzen 3062AFR is very expensive, so we eagerly bought it. As we purchased it, Gina was very helpful and gave us photos and a thorough description of the instrument. As the product shipped, we were frequently updated on where it was on its process. An amazing store.

Don is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met.
Don’s a great luthier, the store has a good selection, friendly staff
Great service. Knowledgeable staff. Lots of products to check out.
Bought the tool I need next in my grand plan. 5 string Bass. It’s a pretty beauty.
They have more than just guitars they also sell wind instruments and string instruments
We love this place. Kids do lessons here and the teachers are great. Friendly staff.
Great place if you are looking for a cheap jangly Chinese made guitar. Spend a few minutes with the owner so he can brag about his skills and insult your intelligence!
Nice selection but not very good customer service. The cashier seemed more interested in planning his next ski trip than helping us out.
Edit: I did not review the wrong place. We watched the cashier playing around with Google Maps on the store computer (maybe not skiing, but definitely not work). We spent about 15 minutes there and he never greeted or acknowledged us. We had much better experiences at Larry’s and Guitars Etc.
They didn’t communicate with me and made me wait a month for a simple violin repair. The repair also wasn’t done well and had to be brought back days later to have bridge fixed again. Days later it only broke yet again……
6. Guitars Etc
Address: 750 9th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
Just want to say I walked into the store every guitar on the wall was in tune and I love that fact attention to detail Tony mirci guitar player from, one from none
Awesome place for guitars and other instruments. Helpful and friendly staff, private lessons are great as well. Got a mustang 1 amp there yesterday for 110 and it has been treating me fantastically.
Took in a Stratocaster for a fret level and a general set up. The guitar sounds and plays better than it ever has. I am beyond happy with the work the guys did. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone with a guitar that needs a little TLC.
Tried a few times to get a rosen for a stand up bass. They never seemed to carry it. They were always on order. Keep things in stock totally would have given a 5 star. Otherwise staff seemed very helpful, and nice.
Quite the busy shop, has quite a bit, and they’re knowledgeable.
Has really expensive stuff. Wouldn’t recommend going here as there items are way more expensive then what you can get by just going across the street to the other music store.
I paid 9 dollars more for the same set of acoustic strings than the music place right down the street. The actual store is huge but the selection is pretty small. The pictures are deceiving. Probably wouldn’t recommend because of the clear price gouge. I won’t be shopping here again.
Good service depends on the day that you go in. They have eyes on you the whole time like you are going to break something. Would rather drive to the nearest Guitar Center.
Really disappointed. They have so many nice guitars and not one nice employee. I probably won’t but anything from this store.
First off i work here. Not advertising for them i am only sharing my experience to help your experience. My biased opinion is that its a great store with the best guitar tech work in town, and we strive for good customer service. This being said…the employees working the front desk do not touch the repairs or generally have any idea what’s going on with them besides if they are done or not and what was written on the repair sheet. If you have questions about your repair you either wait for Rob to be there to ask him yourself. Or you ask us nicely in the store to call him so you may speak with him. What i don’t reccomend is interrogating the confused basic laborers until you’re in a frenzy and not give Rob the chance to explain the situation or make it right. A good number of us employees are here because we love the musical community. A few of us including myself are veterans. I also understand as an employe i represent the employer. Although i may have fought in Afghanistan and lost pieces of myself, my soul, and brothers to defend your freedom of speech, it doesn’t make it right to just disrespect a basic employee because they look like a stoner guitar player. If you have me in a corner of confusion apologizing, dont attack. We are all Americans here and we all need to love and respect each other and ourselves in these harsh times. Our pride of nation and each other will be the only thing that keeps us from falling like everyone else. So i beg of you as customers once again, if you have any questions about your repair.
1. Stay calm
2. Ask nicely
3. If the individual working seems confused, its because they are, so just wait to contact your proper information authority. Being the owners and managers.
4. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Because some folks have quite literally been trained in “Give respect, get respect.”
Finally i apologize if anyone reading this feels singled out. Trust me you aren’t alone.
This place is awesome. Rob and Jen are so very helpful every time I need something. Great customer service and follow through, quality advice and huge selections. They are hands down the best place to go for any music needs.
Always top notch service and knowledge. Excellent instrument setup too…GO HERE.
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
Called to ask about violin lessons for my 8 year old. They gave me the number to their teacher. Said she would return my call within a couple days. 8 days later I got a call and set up a lesson. I arrived at the lesson with my very excited 8 year old 10 minutes early. Katie (the teacher). NEVER showed up. We walked away with a very sad 8 year old and a PISSED mom. NEVER will I shop or recommend this store. Awful experience!!!!!!
We called to verify that they repaired musical instruments. When we got there, the desk person (who was NOT the repair person) said that they don’t really work on my brand of saxophone because they couldn’t get parts for it.
Having worked as an instrument repair person, I told them that no parts needed to be replaced, that it was a lever that needed to be moved in front of another lever, and it was a 15 minute job.
They grudgingly took the sax, but then called and left a message at my home without even allowing the repairman to look at it.
Beyond disgusted. Go someplace where your instrument can be fixed.
Good place to buy a cable or some other basic stuff but do not use for luthiery. They took my bass with a promise of fixing it in a few days. Several days later they told me they didn’t have the parts and I’d have to wait weeks longer. The best part? One of the employees was checking the availability of the parts the day I dropped it off. They just chose to wait a week before telling me. As I was on tour, I had no choice but to pick it up and deliver it to another luthier on my route. I just wish they had told me the truth from the beginning.
8. Lafayette Music
Address: 1361 Forest Park Cir #106, Lafayette, CO 80026 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
This is my first stop for those times when my kids need sheet music or supplies for their instruments Their selection is beyond belief, and their staff is extremely helpful. If I’m looking for something, even if I have a lot of questions about it, they’ll take the time to answer my questions until I know I’m making the right decision.
While I don’t have these needs currently, based on how the staff has worked with me so far, I believe Lafayette music would also be my first choice for instrument rentals and purchases. They have an incredible selection, and their prices are more than reasonable. I know if I had any questions or concerns, they’d make sure to stick with me until I was completely satisfied. That’s not something you get at every music store, but its here!
Great local music store that has a great collection of printed music. I’ve found many pieces for myself and always found whatever method books or music for my son. They often have the accessories that we need. The staff is always friendly and great to deal with. With so many music stores closing, I am beyond happy this one still exists and will continue supporting it! I highly recommend this location for new musicians to pros (for pro side, you will find your next song project easily).
Great rental program.
Nice people. Good prices. Better instruments would be nice.
Small store but a large selection of music.
Very wide variety of sheet music and instruments. The new location is a little tight, but it’s nice to still have them around.
Terrible Experience. The owner made personal accusations, was extremely combative and cussed out my wife and I all in regards to a question about the stores rental agreement. He basically tried to steal our money and we were not ok with that… I think the business model is a wonderful concept but Mark decided to make amendments to his contract in real time… It was a wild experience and I hope this man can find peace in retirement….
Avoid this place at all costs.
Wide selection of instruments and sheet music, not that they let you look at any of it anyway. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable. The sales clerk followed me around and watched me like a hawk the entire time, I didn’t feel comfortable to browse the sheet music in peace. I also wanted to rent an instrument and the sales clerk seemed annoyed that I wanted to look at more than one instrument. It felt like he was trying to get me out of there as quickly as possible. If my business is such an inconvenience for you, maybe just close up shop. Owner also refused to wear a mask and walked around the store coughing everywhere. Use hand sanitizer after touching anything
9. Guitar Hut
Address: 1385 Forest Park Cir #106, Lafayette, CO 80026 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
I went in to have a guitar looked at and have some repairs done. The repair guy, Evan, had just left for the day when I arrived. Gillian still had the store open and called Evan, and he gladly came right back to the shop to help me out! Both Evan and Gillian well extremely helpful. They were both very knowledgeable and willing to share information on how to take better care of my instrument. Not like a lot of these other places you go where everything is a secret or you have to pay for information. The work I needed done was simple but Evan explained everything as he worked right in front of me. He only charged me a few dollars for the repair. Then we jammed for half an hour before I had to take off. The absolute definition of excellent service!! I would give them more stars if I could! I will be back guys, thanks again!!
Amazing little guitar shop!
The owner Evan is very kind and knowledgeable, with excellent customer service and accommodation. Will continue to shop here!
I had these guys take a look at a signature bass of mine. It had some electrical problems going on with it that were a bit out of their knowledge base but Evan is great guy. Very honest and very hard working. I will return with any other problems I have in the future and I would recommend them. Their pricing is very fair and they are willing to help out customers any way they can.
I called to sign my boys up for guitar lessons and had a few options worked out and was told I would be called back to confirm which times worked. I never heard back. Then, when I called back to confirm options, I was told they didn’t have any of my information logged and there were no longer any time slots available for lessons.
Everyone I have met there seems very nice, but very poorly organized.
10. Wildwood Guitars
Address: 500 S Arthur Ave STE 700, Louisville, CO 80027 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
I’ve had two excellent experiences in a row here. First I went in to play some true Les Pauls because I wanted to just see if my beginner brain and hands could even really tell the difference between a Gibson LP and an Epiphone LP (definitely) but I didn’t end up buying on that trip. Staff was insanely patient and helpful, brining me a few different guitars so I could get a feel for the gamut of the Les Paul family. Just this week, after months of research and agonizing, I finally bought a Reverend Gristlemaster during the Covid 19 pandemic. I couldn’t play the guitar myself so it felt like a roll of the dice but Wildwood’s really helpful YouTube channel plus the body of content created by Greg Koch about this instrument slowly won me over. I couldn’t be happier. Really. Stunning instrument, beautiful setup and top-notch help from Lance at Wildwood made it a really special experience. Thanks Wildwood!
Great place, great people, great inventory! Stuff that you can’t get here, from these guys, you probably don’t want anyway!
If you’ve never made an online purchase for a guitar, like myself, you can’t find a better place than Wildwood Guitars. I had been shopping online with other stores but could never get anyone to answer the phone. Lance picked up on the first ring and continued to impress me with his knowledge and personality. He answered all the questions and concerns I had on “My” guitar and I felt comfortable knowing I would be happy with the purchase. It arrived to FL via Fedex , on time , and the packaging was impressive. There are still a couple of guitars on my bucket list and I will definitely go to Wildwood Guitars in the future.
Nice inventory, but really more online-oriented
This is place for serious guitar players who know what they’re looking for. You have to go in with a game plan and narrow down your options before you go in. The kid who was assigned to me was on the computer and, frankly, seemed irritated when I asked laymen’s questions around neck differences, pickup selection, etc. I just don’t think it’s a shop for the average hobbyist. I had cash with me and was ready to have someone help me along with my research, guide me a bit and walk out with a new guitar. That was not my experience. He probably sells dozens of $3-$4k guitars a day to people who already bought dozens of guitars from them! Ultimately, I wound up with a super enthusiastic kid at another shop who spent a good 20-30 minutes with me and I landed an amazing Les Paul Standard. That said, it’s a great atmosphere full of talented musicians from all over and the owner is super nice with an incredible reputation by all accounts (personal and online). If it was closer, I would’ve gone back on a week day with a solid plan. Just go in with a game plan, do your homework before you go in, and have a few options to try out beforehand with the codes/numbers you’re looking for so they can just run to the back and grab it….you can’t beat their selection and their pricing is very competitive.
Just like to drool over the guitars.
Excellent store as far as selection however I would not expect any service after the sale. I purchased a Martin D-28 Custom Shop. Used a humidifier to the recommended specs and less than a month after purchasing the guitar the center if the guitar split down the center. I called Wildwood and they told me there was nothing they would do. Told me I had to contact a service center other than them. They did not offer to take the guitar back and or replace it. I was surprised by their lack of service in something over $4k. I would not use them again. I am not hard to please but the fact that they would do nothing was really poor service in my opinion.
Wildwood no longer allows any in person service, and they do not allow you to touch a guitar prior to purchase.
Went to Wildwood to purchase a guitar, but the storeroom was closed. A customer was trying out gear in the parking lot with the owner. Why not let one customer in at a time or make an appointment? Anyway, my guitar search continues… Just at another store.
11. HB Woodsongs
Address: 3101 28th St, Boulder, CO 80301 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
I just purchased a new taylor guitar from these guys and they were absolutely wonderful. Well knowledgeable staff and super friendly and helpful. Would recommend this shop to anyone looking to buy a high quality guitar from great people
Nicest people you’ll meet 🙂
Great ukalele selection
Small but nice musical instruments stores. They don’t have a lot of stuff (my only complaint), but you be able to find some accessories and also some high-end acoustic guitars. Salespersons are friendly and they also have a music school in this place.
Attentive staff. Good selection. Prices are average to high.
Very friendly staff, unfortunately way over-priced. You can find some of the exact same items on ebay or Amazon for less than half the price at this store.
12. Flesher Hinton Music
Address: 5890 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
This music store has been around for some time, and for good reason. Andy here is well versed in musical instruments, he knows his stuff, and he is more than happy to assist in any capacity needed. I came here to get my cello tuned, and a few other things, I left a more than satisfied customer. Love this place. Wonderful customer service and expertise.
I was there for a sax repair. They fixed it while I waited. The technician was excellent.
Geoff was very knowledgeable and kind when I came in. They don’t deal in used guitars or harps. I will donate the guitar to the school program and probably keep the harp.
There’s parking at the new location. Really reasonably priced supplies. Not the best selection for buying instruments though. Since their relocation, seems they’re putting more emphasis on instrument repair. Still probably the best music supply shop in the area
Like always the services people were just great.
The people employees are professional, knowledgeable, and ready to help!
As with any store like this, you can expect them to be salesmen, though they don’t push too hard and don’t avoid helping you find the lowest priced items.
The technicians are great, but I wish they had a bit more enthusiasm.
If you are testing out brass instruments or such, the practice room they put me in had too much reverb to get accurate samples, even with a recording device. I have yet to ask if they had a more acoustically dry room.
They can order sheet music and products, and have all the basics and many accessories for band musicians.
Just terrible experience! Purchased a new wood clarinet 5 months ago. Found out it was cracking, unfortunately happens if not taken care of, but not in the first 5 months.
Took 2+ months to fix, when we finally picked it up, some old guy in the store started telling my 16 year old daughter about keeping it greased every six months- lecturing her because it was so dried out! Finally stepped in and told him…we bought it here less than 5 months ago…in other words, you sold an old dried out clarinet for $2000.00. Will never ever step foot in this store again d/t the service dept.
Went in to check out acoustic guitars earlier today. Got an important call as I was about to tune a guitar I was checking out and the guy behind the counter just starts blowing into some sort of wind instrument seemingly deliberately because taking a quick phone call. So I hung up the guitar and just walked out.
But the guy who welcomed me when I walked in seemed nice.
13. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
Great local shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff!!! The pedal options seem endless. Dylan and Ike are Awesome.
Ike, it was a pleasure to meet you today and I appreciate all of your very helpful advice. In a world where customer service sometimes seems like a dying art you are a treasure!
Bought my 17 y.o. granddaughter her first bass guitar and amp from Flipside Music. Ike spent close to 2 hours with us and specifically her, showing her different basses and even playing some of the basses with her. It meant a lot. Prices are great, store is relaxed and in good order and the customer service was fantastic. This is now our go-to store for any guitar needs.
Good inventory for a small place.
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Pretty good store with decent prices
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
14. Music & Arts
Address: 7350 W 88th Ave Suite B, Westminster, CO 80021 , Eaton , Colorado , United States
We bought a like new clarinet for high school. Reasonable prices and great customer service.
Always friendly and efficient. Knowledgeable. I have rented and purchased instruments for all 4 my kids.
Though I am not generally a fan of this chain, this location and it’s employees are wonderful. Thank you for setting me up with a quality rental instrument and more importantly breaking me a deal on the books I purchased. Worth the 50 minute commute!
Was able to buy a great violin
Organized and clean nice staff they don’t buy instruments
I am a music teacher. This is my go to for lesson books for my students.
rude and dishonest
Would not recommend for repairs. I left an instrument to be repaired at this store and was told at the time that the repair would be completed in 2-3 weeks. The repair actually took over six weeks and I received no updates during the process despite calling multiple times and being told simply that it was “in progress”. I paid nearly $500 for play condition repair of a clarinet with repads and cork replacement. Upon return, the cork between the lower joint and bell was too thin preventing a snug fit without air leakage. Additionally, there was an un-repaired crack in the lower joint. Overall, the “repaired” instrument was not in play condition—$500 and 6 weeks wasted. I definitely do not recommend using this company for instrument repairs.
New saxophone from guitar center, 300 bucks. Used saxophone from music and arts 1130 dollars are they serious???
