Scott is extremely helpful. They offer music lessons here
The Leonard’s are good, local guys who are very knowledgeable and experienced in all types of instruments. They also have a very large team of instructors that cover a wide variety of instruments from winds and brass to guitars to piano.
Great place to learn music
Very helpful, friendly staff. Reasonable prices for your instrument needs. Can get lessons here as well.
That big young manager is extremely narcissistic..he is very disrespectful… Will never go back
Just awful customer service. We came in wanting to learn about violins and their rental program. We were obviously inexperienced and instead of helping educate us, they acted like they didn’t want to help us and would only answer our questions with one to two word statements. We left without buying anything and will not be going back.
Needs more employees, needed help, but was on the phone the whole time
4. Music Mart [VALPARAISO STUDIOS]
Address: 101-103 Westview Ave, Valparaiso, FL 32580 , Eglin Village , Florida , United States
Super cool old school style music store..something for everyone from beginning to professional level..prices are budget to high end depending on your needs and what you are looking for. Great selection of guitars and amplifiers, both bass and electric; also many acoustic guitars, ukelele, violins, horns, and all the things needed to make them sing. Cables of all sorts and those hard to find items for repairs. Added bonus is the onsite Valparaiso Studio which was established in 1969. The studio has a rich musical history and is well known amongst local musicians in the area. Highly recommend making a day trip over to the Music Mart in historic downtown Valparaiso and paying a visit to Tim the Proprietor!!
Concerning the post from the individual that give the 1 star Rating. Sorry if this one establishment did not cater to your individual needs.
If you are so knowledgeable in the music industry you should have looked a little closer at the verity of used amps that I have noticed in the back of the store in the past. Used Valve amps, Example: Fender Baseman, Fender Princeton, Custom Hotrod Deluxe, Bogner, and have seen Marshall. I have personally purchased High end used equipment at Music Mart in the past. In My opinion The Music Mart is geared more for the beginner and Intermediate musician to allow individuals to afford to purchase decent equipment as they progress and enjoy the rewards of making music. FYI it takes a lot of cash to be a Vendor and keep inventory for the high end equipment that may or may not sale. I would suggest you go to a high end store if you are looking for something specific. One thing I have noticed is that the owner of The Music Mart is a great individual once you get to know him and will work with you to provide what you need at a fair cost just so you can spread the music. With that being said; yes items may not be commercially displayed like big box companies but there is a treasure trove of musical items if you look hard enough or ask and the owner can tell you exactly where to find it.
This place is excellent. They are all about supporting and helping every musician from beginner to full bands recording studio five stars is definitely awarded to music mart.
Great service and had exactly what I needed
Unfortunately what I needed and what I bought weren’t the same thing. More than likely won’t be returning it because I am hardly down that way. The store seemed to have a lot of a variety so definitely if you are in the market for musical items or gear check them out! Has a friendly dog to greet you which is a bonus.
First off if you need some guitar picks and don’t want to drive to fort Walton then this place is great but as far as guitars and amps. They only have cheap no name guitars. Amp wise they carry old stuff. This guy does not carry amps that are decent, they carry Justin which is like buying an amp from radio shack. They do not carry Marshall or blackstar or box or Gibson or schecter or even Ibanez. If he would carry some of the major bands then he would get a lot of business especially since leitz just closed.don’t ask the dude any questions about the gear because he has no musical knowledge, he just wells the stuff, he does have some pedals but don’t expect to find anything decent like a boss pedal or any multi effect pedals. Honestly I think this place is nothing but a joke
5. UpBeat Music
Address: 913B Beal Pkwy NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 , Eglin Village , Florida , United States
Great place for all of your music needs. Super folks to deal with and the personal attention is second to none!
I ordered a Squier Classic Vibe 50s Precision Bass from upbeat music and I am very impressed with the speed of which they shipped it, the price I paid, and especially the fact that the bass arrived perfectly set up with no fret rattle, perfect intonation, and even still in tune after being shipped from Florida to Nebraska.
mmm akoostic geetar ❤️
Most of the staff is super helpful
Very nice and helpful staff
Great folks. They’re musically inclined and very helpful with any of your music needs.
Do not take music lessons at this place of business. They are charging more than anyone in town and the owner is extremely rude. We switched to Grow Your Gift Music on Beal Parkway and it was the best decision for my daughter.

7. Woodwinds Are Life
Address: 101 Seminole Cir, Niceville, FL 32578 , Eglin Village , Florida , United States
Please visit and support this business. I love perusing the selections. Takes me back to record shopping in the 80’s, 90’s. Great little store, and a fun experience.
Super awesome place with TONS of records of all different genres at really affordable prices. Really kind service from a really chill guy who I assume is the owner. Definitely will return!
Fantastic record shop with excellent collection of music. Highly recommend.
Very clean and organized record store in Fort Walton. I liked how they had the records broken down into sub genres instead of just a “rock section”. I gave 4 stars because they mix there used and new records together which can be frustrating for people searching. Also, the prices were definitely on the high side. This is still worth a stop if you have a time in Ft. Walton.
Very nice, extensive vinyl catalog. The owner is quite friendly. There is also a small selection of guitars on sale.
Large selection of sorted and graded vinyl
This old bald headed hippie with this nasty gray beard is a rip off.He offered me 100 .00 for a Beatles lp.That is worth 10 times that much.Dishonest when it comes to trying to sell stuff to him.Don’t trust him!!! Negitive 5 reviews his stuff is way over priced. To the laymen who does not know anything about collectible Vinyl he will take advantage of you!! DISHONEST BUSINESS MAN!!!!!
10. Clint Hall Music
Address: 114 Dartmouth Way, Niceville, FL 32578 , Eglin Village , Florida , United States
A great experience, very knowledgeable staff. I was treated like you have been coming in for years on my first visit.
We love UpBeat. Our kids have been taking music lessons here for almost 3 years…violin, ukulele, and flute. All of our teachers have been great, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have always done a great and timely job servicing our instruments. Crestview is lucky to have these guys!
Great people, thanks.
I’ve been bringing my grandson for a few weeks. He enjoys it. Says a lot when dealing with a 13 y/o
Great pricing and people. Would be a 5 star but they didn’t charge my card every month like was on the contract I signed so I had to pay the full balance when I returned and late fee’s for each month they did not charge card.
They were very knowledgeable & helpful. Always have great service here!
My family and I went to upbeat in Crestview to purchase a bass guitar. Unfortunately they decided to lock the doors before business hours. A customer had JUST walked out of the doors and as we tried opening them they were already locked with 30min still before closing time. I will now be purchasing the bass guitar I had planned online.
Did not have a good experience in the least bit.
I initially came in and asked to have some speaker cable lengths made and let them know I was price comparing. The nice younger gentleman rang up the order, printed out a receipt, and showed me how much it was going to cost, all under the supervision of the manager, John. The price they gave me was $70 which was cheaper than buying elsewhere so I said go ahead with making the cable and I’ll come back and pay when it was ready, which I did. When I came back to pick the order up, they asked for $100, which I politely declined because it wasn’t the original number they showed me on the receipt. John, the manager, immediately got upset and changed his once friendly tone to a hostile annoyed tone. I told them I will have to decline but that I would be back to shop in the future. As I walked out, John exclaimed from the back of the store loud enough for me to hear at the front of store to “Don’t come back!”
Well I understand that there are always misunderstandings in any goings-on of business but to yell out at a customer, who said he would be back despite a misunderstanding, to “not come back” in front of several other customers is simply unacceptable.
I will definitely be back but only once John is no longer employed by Upbeat.
Upbeat Music is the only Guitar Store I’ve ever purchased a guitar from that did not provide even a soft guitar bag with my purchase. Never went back.
15. The Sound Cafe + Enlightened Studios
Address: 142 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548 , Eglin Village , Florida , United States
Great place to hold a live music event. Good sounding room, great staff!
Great atmosphere and the staff are the nicest around. Lots of fun and great food to be had here!!!
Came here for some lunch. Got a double espresso, an oat honey latte and 2 paninis. The espresso was smooth and delicious, and the latte was also extremely flavorful, not too sweet. The sandwiches were also SUPER good. 5/5 Highly suggest.
Just got some coffees and while I would still recommend this place over starbucks the coffees where not that good
Great Sound!
Great staff. Supper cool art.
The food took an hour and a half to arrive. When it arrived it contained two coffees with two breakfast to go boxes all packaged in one bag…it was bagged the 2 Togo boxes first with the two coffee cups on top of it when we received it coffee was all in are food soaked with coffee when we called and explained the situation they said they are not responsible for the food or drinks ….I explained they sent it out the door incorrectly packaged. We are now without food and its not there problem? I don’t typically leave reviews so this should tell you how mad and disappointed they left us. We will never return and will spread the word that your business don’t care about your food as long as you get paid. His response backs up exactly what I said. The delivery woman explained that she never asked for that. That’s how your employees typically bag to go orders. I spoke with your employee. But that’s OK with the way the economy has been. Small businesses only thrive by providing good customer service. Goodluck to you sir.
Bad experience! Multiple special instructions and they still got my drink wrong. They admitted that it was their fault but no refund and no help in getting refund from UberEats.
Relies to much on their gimmick of the shop, service was horrible, the man working behind the counter was rude, took 30+ minutes for our food when their was only 3 people inside the cafe who already had their food, we only ordered a few sandwiches, overall I was very disappointed, only good part was the singer working their at the time
16. Redbox
Address: 3005 Eglin Blvd, Eglin AFB, FL 32542 , Eglin Village , Florida , United States
This is a great place to pick up soon needed things around the house just after arriving to a location. Or even if you need to unload some things you think others will be able to make use of. Everything here is free so that alone should make it worth looking into.
Help volunteer here when you can to help keep this place going!!
The airman attic is a god send for my family. Not only were we able to get clothes here and there for our growing infant to toddler. We were also able to get a crib. The airmans attic is full of little or big things you may need but wouldn’t think you would find there. True gem finds. I highly suggest you swing by of you haven’t already. The staff has been very nice and helpful every time I’ve visited making the experience even sweeter.
Recommend
it’s been closed for a year but they don’t update there times or dates everytime i call they never answer
Volunteers are very rude.
