Great work, knowledgeable, easy to work with, with a quick turnaround. I’ve worked with a lot of guitar repair people in my life and would highly recommend getting work done here.
I recently bought a guitar at a pawn shop and wanted to up grade it. About my experience: 5 stars all the way. Here is why. Initially I contacted this place through email explaining what I would like done with my guitar. I get an email back the next day with all kinds of info about the guitar I bought that I didn’t even know. So I make an appointment. I get there. Angelo was very informative, and super laid back. He even updated me with video footage on the progress of the repairs he was doing. I can’t say enough good things honestly. Really cool dude. The work is a fair price, and the place is conveniently located near me. You will not be disappointed with service.
when restoring, designing,or even an upgrade to guitars or lapsteels….the big instrument is the best….i had my non-pedal steel re-designed,with new electronics….a beautiful blue heavenly finish….p90 pick-up….volume and tone added…new designed legs making it more stable… it came out great….i also had my telecaster upgraded….frets smoothed….it plays so much better….here you will enjoy a friendly atmosphere….with knowledge to spare….thank you to the big instrument…

Address: 2872 N Powers Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
I went in and the employee, Mr.M helped me find what I needed very quickly and was very kind He also introduced some private teachers which was very helpful since I was thinking about getting one :))
My home away from home..
My family was assisted by the manager Erin. She was wonderful to speak with and gave us great information about the flute, the rental policies and also made recommendations for music tutors. Best of all, she included our daughter in the conversation and made her feel more confident in starting the learning process of an instrument. Very welcoming environment – I recommend using this location for your music needs.
Great time getting my daughter to handle different guitars. Very knowledgeable.
Very nice service l and I got an epic instrument
Large selection very helpful staff and you can even get free guitar lessons different days of the week
Unknowledgeable in pricing. Was told deposit was required with 2 or more instruments, ok that’s fine. Have been in contact with the 888 number to make payments and what not. Call to make a payment today, one is in collections. They are under 2 separate accounts, so I have only been paying on one instrument. Ask the 800 number why I had a deposit for 2 or more instruments if they are separate accounts anyway. I was informed that deposit is just based on customer. According to reviews this location loves to lie. Very displeased with my experience with music and arts. I will most definitely be checking my other options out next year. This has been a nightmare.
Worst company in Colorado Springs. Do not sign contract with them or do any business what so ever. They charge my account after the account was closed and refuse to get me any refund. Their excuse is that their system is new and it is backed up. Basically they treat people like they are idiots. When I first started with them they say that if class is cancelled they would issue refund and I am still waiting for 3 classes of refund after I have been promised that they will posted a week ago. They will tell you that corporate does that, but they are lying. Their corporate office told me that the refund has to be issued in the store. The store apologized and said that they cannot do that and ticket has to be summited and that was 11 days ago. The company is runned by bunch of crooks on local level who just want to take you money and have no intention of giving you the money back.
My recent experience with Music and Arts was not very pleasent, they came to canon city to sell books and instruments to student and teachers in band across canon city, I walk in to where I was told along with the rest of the canon schools that they’d be ready at 5:30 when I went in they were not ready and we’re not polite when telling me that they weren’t ready they were also rude when we were confused at the price if the book because I was told it would be $5 just like last year, I hope you can understand why I am not happy.

Tim, and his team are incredibly professional and helpful. I look forward to many encounters with them. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and will continue to support this organization!
Amazing experience. Took my son in yesterday to test out various instruments. We were immediately greeted by the gentleman there. He took his time and assisted my son with trying each instrument while abiding by the COVID guidelines, explained the rental plans, asked my decision on options provided and thoroughly explained every charge. They were also kind to assist in helping us find any additional materials needed for the school band and gave a discount.
Very polite experience. Clean and neat store. Small but very great selection. The gentleman was very knowledgeable.
Thank you so much. I am so happy to see my son start his band journey and thanks for making the experience a delight. We greatly appreciate it!
I have gone to this Meeker Music for the past 5 years to rent/buy band instruments for my kids. They are always helpful and friendly. If an instrument needs repairs, it is done quickly and at a low price. They always have the piano music we are looking for. I was looking for a used piano to buy, and the clerk looked up the address and phone number for Piano Warehouse. Very nice of her.
M. Wainwright
They are so nice and I enjoyed myself so much. Really great people.
Great for beginners. Not a pro shop by any means.
Smaller store but pretty knowledgeable and helpful for the novice musicians. Reasonably priced accessories.
Limited selection at this location. Staff is eager to send you downtown for things they don’t have at this location.
Customer Service is Everything even the little things count
I agree with the man who said he felt rushed. Owner said they always ask “How can I help you?” Suggestion: That phrase assumes the customer NEEDS help, when they may know exactly where to go to help themselves. A better question would be “Can I help you?”. That leaves customer free to say “No, thanks. I am good”. My suggestion is more respectful, more friendly (customer knows staff sees them and is available without the pressure first question gives.) Know that there are many of us who would feel better about the second question. I have not been back after experiencing that first question. It just felt too pushy. Let us breathe.
I walked in looking for a drum set and the sales clerk just stared at me until I said hello and greeted her. Unwelcoming and unhelpful. The clerk looked like she had just rolled out of bed and had nothing helpful to say. She whispered to another clerk in the store which would have been much less awkward if there had been any music playing in the store whatsoever. Very disappointed

Went in here an hour before closing after leaving Guitar Center annoyed.
Richard was awesome. I told him I wanted to get that Stevie Ray Vaughn sound but was too embarrassed to play the guitars since it had been over 10 years since I picked one up. He started plugging guitars in and jamming.
I really liked the sound of a used Strat they had and had enough money left over to get a great amp. Took it back a week later and got a free adjustment on it. An adjustment that Guitar Center wanted to charge an additional $50 for (Sorry, just really turned off by Guitar Center).
Great experience all the way around. Richard is a really cool guy to deal with.
This place Rocks! Great instructors for all instruments.
This was a great experience! I have an acoustic guitar that just needed some minor work (I wanted to replace the strings) and it was an, overall, simple and easy process. In fact, I got a guitar case and threw in a couple of picks with all of that. Pricing is reasonable, and they offer lessons. Another thing to check out! 🙂
Cool
Yet another place to go look and try out gear
Yay
Guitar tech sucks
This place looks like a garage sale threw up on it. Even the parking lot is literal garbage. Inside is confused and akward. Looked like a swap meet.
Aweful! Just awful. My husband used to work there, went to them when he passed away from Cancer to resell some of his gear he left us, the offered WAY less than market value. Don’t sell your gear there.
The quote only covered 10 pieces, didn’t account for the rest. NOT ok. Felt scammed.
And if that wasn’t enough, the manager raised his voice to me when I said no to the offer. The other guys there were incredibly helpful though in unloading and loading the two car fulls of equipment. I think that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I’ll never ever go back! Not ever.

Great customer service they’re awesome I bought me a little guitar amp Behringer real friendly and sociable great atmosphere they’ll take good care of you just go in there and talk to someone they’re all very helpful
Easy to find, handicap friendly though the aisles are a bit tight, we brought in our music gear to sell and we got a very good deal on them, they understood properly the value of our gear. Will be returning here.
“A MUST CHECK OUT!” This is such an awesome place! I really love to randomly stop by and check out their ever changing selection of great used music items… even new!
Call on a piece of audio equipment and was helped with the holding of the item until I could come from Denver to purchase it. Store has a good selection of guitars and pro sound equipment.
Awesome place
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are quick to do research if they arent sure of their answer.
Total lack of professionals. Wanna get overpriced equipment come on on in. Nothing personal
I called the store asked if they were taken in drum sets I load the car take it all the way down there take two pieces in the store and another guy says oh we’re not taking drum sets today how high can the employees be in the store this is wrong to have somebody go down there for no reason so my advice to you if you got something to sell don’t take it to them take it somewhere with employees still have brains in their head
Rude service.
11. Square Music Company
Address: 2332 Vickers Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80918 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
I just moved to Colorado from California a few months ago, and I was looking around for a good music store to buy guitar strings, and other accessories. Anyway, I found this place. I went in for a simple restring set up for my acoustic guitar. The owner, Cordell was super chill, and easy going. We talked about music for a little bit while he did the set up on my guitar. He was very knowledgeable, and informative. Excellent customer service. I definitely recommend others to check this place out. You will recieve quality service. This place is great!
The owners of this store really care about the community of Colorado Springs and they’re just genuinely nice. They’re so involved and constantly host events, and help with others to bring music and good feels everywhere! And they give great lessons and offer a sweet selection of locally made instruments and other gear.
If you build instruments in Springs area, this is the place to sell them. Support a local business.
Dead business. No one answered the door, or phone during normal business hours. Would have liked to drop some $$$ on a local business, but I guess I’ll go to another major retailer.
12. Guitar Center
Address: 535 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
Jesse and Kathryn are always great! Thanks so much for your help today!
Awesome place
Place is always busy staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Clean and friendly
I went into the guitar center to demo a studio monitor that they are selling. They had it in the price was right, same as Amazon. But they didn’t have any music hooked up to the studio monitors. So I couldn’t listen to them. I left without even considering buying anything obviously.
Sold me a broken jackson didnt have good springs in the back and was missing the square nut to the hight e string hadda pay a 700 fornit thier trusting them to sell me quality guitar go to prp sound to get quality gear !!!!!!!!! Sorry the workers sweet as can be but look at any gear hard before u buy it from them just a warnong
Came In today to sell a guitar and amp. The manager couldn’t find the price of my guitar in their system so she made up a price of 700 without looking up the guitar or sending pictures to the pricing team. There is a listing for the same guitar except in the less expensive non Floyd rose version, in the same condition for 999 on guitar centers used section. After Jake the only good employee there showed her the listing she said the other guitar was priced way too high and she could go up to $849 and offer me 500. Is this a national retailer or just a place to play pawn shop games?
was in the area so I thought I’d see if they had a bigger selection than the store in my smaller town. told salesman i thought I needed something between an apx500 and the smaller 3/4 version. He handed me a $500 guitar and when I asked if they had any that sized, and lower priced, he took it from my hands and said no. and that was it. no offer of further help. nothing.
13. Graner School of Music
Address: 4460 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
Mr.Bob was so patient with my son. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in session learning from him.
Graner is my go-to for piano scores, they have a great selection and it seems every time I visit I leave with a new music book in hand. They have also been more than happy to order anything for me if out of stock. Take that, Amazon! Great service and accommodations always. Have also used their recital hall a couple times for the AMS recital and it’s a great space. I consistently recommend this store to all my friends.
Fantastic! Helpful staff and great prices.
Great place for kids to get musical lessons, voice lessons and books and instruments. They also do repairs here
Great service, very helpful!
Very helpful. Explained all contracts well, good with kids, instructors onsite. Staff helpful.
Pretty disappointed in all honesty. I was recommended this place by other music stores around town that couldn’t provide what I needed.
The selection of the instruments and accessories seemed to be impressive!
What was most disappointing was the customer service. There was a very nice woman upfront, sadly losing her voice, but was sweet the whole time!
Mike, was not.
To avoid a novel, wording is key! There’s no need to constantly criticize someone’s instrument, constantly tell them to return it because it won’t work, and then try to just sell their inventory.
He seemed knowledgeable when he spoke of the instrument, but to only push for a sale, sad.
After leaving something there and returning to get it, the additional comment of “did you take it back?” Was not needed.
A fellow musician should encourage, not discourage and try to push a sale. As a salesman, if your customer wants a peg, just sell them a peg.
Chelsea with Graner music is the most unprofessional and unreasonable person I have ever dealt with. I would highly encourage you to go with another company and not rent equipment through this one. The principal at my child’s school forewarned me about Graner and I wish I would have listened.
The people who work here are complete elitists. If you don’t have a $15k instrument they will repeatedly refer to your instrument as “cheap” and make comments like “If you ever want to upgrade to a decent instrument make sure you come back and see us.” My instrument is $2k so perhaps in the grand scheme of things it is on the lower end, but I don’t at all understand their sales tactic of trying to belittle you and your instrument. It was such a poor experience, both in-store and on the phone. Go someplace that doesn’t make you feel less than.
14. Moondog Music Shop
Address: 1716 W Uintah St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
I love Moondog Music. Mike is the best! The only person he treats unfairly is himself. I can’t get him to charge me enough for his service on my guitars and mandolin.
Well rounded knowledgeable shop owner, the shop itself has quality and a variety of reputable guitars and I got a free tune up, too!
Everyone says this place is always closed when they say that they will be open. Well unfortunately that is the reality I too have experienced. Multiple times I’ve tried to visit during posted operating hours but I can never seem to catch the store open. I’ll keep trying though maybe they need some extra help like a part time employee. We need local musical instrument stores or all there’s gonna be is guitar center.
Web site is shady can’t seem to catch opend …..
2nd time I’ve stopped by during advertised open hours and shop is closed. I mentioned this to a friend and he laughed… Apparently it’s pretty difficult to figure out their schedule even though it’s posted on their front window and on the internet. He told me that’s definitely their reputation around town. Maybe it’s an amazing shop. I keep trying to find out.
Not that great, I went in there with high expectations and came out disappointed. First, I got blatantly ignored, the person who worked there was talking to another person and didn’t acknowledge my existence, He didn’t say anything like ”I’ll be with you in one moment” NOTHING! I stood there awkwardly for about 10 minutes, finally the guy stopped catching up with the other customer and got to me quite UN- enthusiastically.
15. Zimbelman Guitars
Address: 7355 Churchwood Cir, Colorado Springs, CO 80918 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
Could not have asked for a better experience. High quality work, efficient and very easy to work with. Will be back for the next upgrade on my guitar!
Matt did amazing work on my dulcimer and I could not be more pleased. Plus he seems like a super great guy!!!! Highly recommend this business.
Matt is a guitar professional and great communicator. He was able to correct an electric guitar fault that another shop could not. I would recommend and will be using Zimbelman Guitars again. Great overall experience!!!
16. Colorado Piano Warehouse
Address: 218 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
Rick is amazing. All he wants is for more people to play piano. His business is 100% service oriented. He helped us pick out the right piano for our needs and our budget, and we will definitely be taking advantage of the trade-up program. Add in free delivery and why would you shop anywhere else?
17. Fountain Violin Shop
Address: 210 N Main St, Fountain, CO 80817 , El Paso County , Colorado , United States
Michael has set up a few of my guitars and his work is absolute perfection. There is no one better than Michael.
Don’t waste your time with other shops – go here first. I’ve been taking my guitars to Michael since 2006, and even though I now live in Denver, I still make the hour drive down to Colorado Springs when I need setup work done. His knowledge and attention to detail are something you just won’t find at other shops. Your guitar will come back playing like a completely different instrument. Even after 13 years, I’m still blown away by the quality of his work. His prices are very reasonable, as is his turnaround time. Highly recommended!
Michael is a kind, honest and talented luthier! He took the time to talk in depth about my guitar both during drop off and pick up. He got the work done very quickly as I had a gig coming up. My guitar sounds better than ever and the prices were very reasonable! Highly recommend!
Brandon is a local treasure. If you are looking to have a custom Bass guitar made, your search is over. Support a local business and experience the difference.
