Lance and Tracy are nice folks. They have a good selection of strings and accessories. Neat place for obscure instruments.
5. Bailey Brothers Music Company
Address: 231 E Jefferson St, Montgomery, AL 36104 , Elmore , Alabama , United States
As always was very satisfied with my sales and service with Bailey Brothers Music. Purchased an Ibanez Artwood series’s acoustic, and Fender Strat Special to include a Peavey Envoy amp. Will be purchasing many more in the future.
The gears here are high-end and great brands by the way Bailey Brothers. Thumbs up for you.
Awesome service. Very helpful. Great guys. I will visit again and recommend to others.
The manager was very helpful & the prices were very reasonable on what we were looking for!
Lots of instruments. Knowledgeable staff who are willing to help. Try here before you go to guitar center. Be warned seems like some of their prices are kind of high.
Told the repair guy I was on my way. When I got there he had left. I was going to wait until the two employees I talked to just laughed instead of apologizing. I went to Lisenby’s in Prattville and they took care of everything.
I have supported Bailey Bros. since I was a kid, but it’s time for the Montgomery store to be put out of its misery.
I usually try and call in before I go into the store and these guys usually sound like they don’t really have time for that. Quick to get off the phone, I ask a question and they respond with one word and are very blunt and just overall just seem to be uninterested in what you as the customer wants unless you’re trying to buy.
6. Art’s Music Shop, Inc

It’s a great place all repairs have been flawless the only thing is it opens later in the morning which can sometimes be a problem.

Great staff, very helpful, quick in and out service. Easy to find!
Taken advantage of! I purchased a trombone for my son, Feb 2019, as he was in the school band. For irrelevant circumstances my son is not continuing band. The cost of the trombone was $1100. Six months later I take the trombone back to Art’s Music store to sell it back to them. The store manager told me he would give $90! The trombone had been gently used. I didn’t expect that low of an offer. I feel as though Art’s Music is taking advantage of the fact that they are one of few music stores in the Montgomery area. My son will continue in playing music but we will NEVER spend another $ with Art’s Music. Parents please shop around and know who you are dealing with!
2 years ago my son started playing the trumpet. Arts came to the school as students were signing up. We financed the trumpet through Arts. For 2 years, $88 was auto drafted from my account. Do the math, but that’s over $2,000 for a trumpet. Not one late payment.
5 months ago I closed that account and opened another. My fault for not remembering Arts, but again, I’ve never physically made a payment. I make no excuses though. This was MY error. Arts say they have sent me letters and text messages. I’ve never received one.
Last week, my 13 year old calls me from school saying Arts had called his band director and I need to call their office. All of the sudden, I remember! I said I would call them when I got home. A few hours later my son calls me again from school and hands the phone to a lady from Arts who was at his school. Through poor reception, as I was on Fort Benning, in Martin Army hospital, we had a partial conversation where I agreed to call the office when I got home.
Not even 15 minutes later, my son sends me a text message telling me this lady took his trumpet.
I owed less than $500 and had paid over $2,000, but they found it necessary to come to my kids school and take his instrument from him rather than attempt to work it out.
3 days later I paid them the $500 and now have to drive 2 hours to their Dothan location to pick up the trumpet.
I don’t do reviews. I generally haven’t ever felt the need, but if this isn’t the most absurd customer service I’ve had, I’m not sure what is.
They did not text and might have sent letters, but I have moved twice in those 2 years. I didn’t receive them.
But if they were able to text, why not call? They called the school band director. Why not call me? Just ridiculous!
For a $2500 trumpet, that should include some customer service skills, or at the very least, a smidgen of human decency.
11/10 would recommend! Professionalism with pizzaz. Looking for just the right remix for your get together? This is the right one-stop shop. Everything you need from equipment to creativity, and all with a smile. Can’t recommend highly enough.
I’ve known Dj Oz for a several years. Definitely brings the party with him. Highly recommend the services he provides.
DJ Oz has been the go to in the Montgomery area when you want to have a good time. I’ve been going to his live events for years as well as more than a few weddings he’s DJ’d, and it’s always a great time! Any type of party, wedding, or get-together, he can liven it up. Anyone can set up some speakers and press play on prerecorded music. Only Oz can make your event this memorable! His music selection is amazing, his on mic interactions with the crowd are hilarious, and his professionalism is unmatched.
At the end of the day, you want your special event to be something everyone will enjoy and remember, so call DJ Oz!!
9. Classic Audio and Records
Address: 2048 Fairview Ave, Prattville, AL 36066 , Elmore , Alabama , United States
Absolutely fantastic shop for vintage stereo gear and records. Everyone there is knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The owner knows what he’s doing and is extremely helpful when discussing audio gear. Turnaround and pricing on stereo repairs also cannot be beat, and they always do an absolutely stellar job.
Most amazing vintage audio and record store I’ve ever been to.
Have bought several items and never a problem. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Great independent record shop! The owners were very helpful and also had a diverse selection of audio equipment, records, tapes, and cd’s. An audiophiles dream
I went in there with my mother … they had pictures of black people with big pink lips (stereotypes) and an all lives matter flag . I didn’t have a problem with the all lives matter flag its the fact that they had stereotypes of us hanging up on the wall . Truly disgusted with this place .
