Great technicians, and great service on the spot. Highly recommended in the Atlanta Area ! And reasonable pricing!
Very efficient!
Big Note Music offers superior customer service, and is a wonderful business! So thrilled with the service! So thrilled that the instruments stay on campus for maximum use by students! A+
The store was easy to find, they had everything we needed conveniently, and had excellent customer service.
Unfortunately, they never called or emailed me back. I waited almost 2 weeks to schedule a repair with them after they visited my son’s school.
I guess they have enough business.
3. Love’s Travel Stop
Address: 150 Old Allatoona Rd SE, Emerson, GA 30121 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
I called this the “Everything Store”. My son and I stopped there for a cold drink after a soccer tourney at Lakepoint and decided to order and eat at Subway. We were not the only soccer family that had the same idea. This place was a’buzzin… The servers were courteous and helpful…
One of the better ones
Easy access from I-75. This place is always busy and the staff seem to have it all under control! Friendly staff and the coffee is always fresh! There’s lots of different snacks and drinks along with an attached McDonalds.
Very congested
I was there in the morning for weight
It’s clean and the fries are chewy as hell
Poor service at McDonald’s too many trucks parked on fuel island not fueling.
Don’t never stop here.to hard to get in and out..
Friendly service and good food, but probably the dirtiest restroom I’ve ever seen at a loves. Have stopped here a total of three times each time the bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since this place’s grand opening.
4. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 5485 Westmoreland Plaza, Douglasville, GA 30134 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
I worked at the Riverdale store for a little more than a year before the store closed it’s doors for good. I loved every minute of it. The manager Mr. Steve was great to work with and the owner Mr. Doug is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. He treats everyone with respect and Mr. Steve will do his best to make sure customers have what they need before they leave the store.
Very nice and professional people. Certainly willing to help however they can.
Super nice guys! My husband stops by for his guitar strings, he says their price cannot be beat.
The salesman i had there knew HIS STUFF…. KNOWLEDGE!
Good customer service. Very knowledge.
Great customer service at this place.
I was greeted when i came in.. great!! It was my 2nd time there, I usually go Guitar Center in Marietta, to a much bigger store. But after i was helped I felt as if i was being followed around the store. Evertime Id go around the corner, the guy from the front desk would pop up behind me 39 seconds later. That WASN’T good customer service… NOT the way you wanna feel as a customer, as if you’re a threat to take something. Smdh
I really wanna like this place, but there is a guy that’s been here for years, and everytime I’ve gone in he has been crabby about something. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but he’s not to cool to the customers anytime I’ve been around.
Terrible service
5. Dirt Cheep Pro Audio & Musical Instruments
Address: 2415 S Cobb Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
Love this place have been coming here for well over 20 years
The store owner(sorry, bad memory) and Aldo were super kind and helpful. They try their best to take care of customers’ needs. Would def buy here again
Great place to do business. Owner is a stand up guy.
Nice place, but for me, a non-music person, its not “dirt cheap” at all. But what do i know. My husband did make an exchange that he was happy about.
Nice people, really helped me out, gave me a pretty good deal.
Not a lot of drumming equipment.
They charged me a 10% restocking fee for an M-Audio USB interface that had flaky drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. When I told them about this problem one of the guys asked if I was running SP1 or SP2 for Windows 7. When I told him no service packs are out for Windows 7 he looked it up right in front of me and had the audacity to say that M-Audio had drivers for Win 7 SP2. This guy was totally clueless. So I got charged $36 because M-Audio had bad drivers. I won’t be going back.
They’re cheap because the have little worth buying. I don’t know about brass, band, school instruments but their guitars, etc. are nothing to get excited about. Even the bigger name stuff is their entry level offerings. Their pricing doesn’t appear to be any cheaper than other stores. Selection is severely limited. You have to ask yourself, who would trade in a Fender or Gibson on a $300.00 junker from who knows where? Also, I’ve been playing over 60 years and, with rare exceptions never go into D.C.M. without getting a lecture from someone. I get the impression that to work there you need to be a frustrated preacher.
I was not pleased with their return policy. Just make sure that whatever you get there, you never plan to return it. They left a very bad feeling.

Helpful and friendly. Enjoyed talking with the owner.
My visit & purchase was a very pleasant one thanks to Tammy who was more than helpful!
Merry Christmas Isaiah 48:17
Small Town music store with excellent service
Nice selection, especially for a small town.
It was fun to look at the beautiful guitars, even though right now, during this virus epidemic, you can’t touch anything unless you’re planning to buy it.
Surprised by how extensive their selection of Lefty’s is, surprised and impressed.
Bought an avlex microphone from them that was totally defective. Not only did the store refuse to refund the money, they refused store credit as well. I’ve reported them to consumer reports and the better business bureau. They could’ve just refunded my money for selling me a broken piece of gear. Do not shop here if you don’t like getting ripped off. I’m a local musician and would’ve bought quite a bit of merchandise from them too. Their loss…
My wife bought a Walden acoustic guitar less than a week ago from this music store for me as a surprise. It fell off the stand and the top part of the neck “above the first fret” broke in half. I’ve been playing for 35 years and this has never happened before. The bottom of the guitar stand is 1 inch from the floor so it just fell lightly not slammed against the floor. We took it back and the owners refused to replace it or refund our money. We left the guitar there, out of our money and my gift to play music right now is at a haunt. So I would definitely not recommend this place. -Matthew Patrick Avery
7. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 3636 Dallas Hwy SW, Marietta, GA 30064 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
Awesome service and great advice! Purchased an Epi Les Paul with hard case. West Cobb store.
Excellent customer service, knowledgable employees, great prices. No other music store has my business!
Very nice and knowledgeable staff
Smaller than the one on Cobb parkway. Friendly staff. No complaints. Just a pretty limited selection.
Staff is helpful to get the sale but be careful… Merchandise is expensive and there’s no returns because of Covid. They don’t tell you about that detail before you spend your money!
Wasn’t able to be in this store for 5 minutes trying to find my 4 year old an instrument to learn without two of the employees hounding him to not touch anything. As a professional musician trust me I have my son trained to be careful around expensive instruments. I also picked up a guitar to play and think about purchasing it but the guy told me they are supposed to bring it down and hand it to me, I said I know how to handle a guitar and he says “not a $1,300 guitar” I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I find it hard to believe a store would go out of their way to lose a potential sale. I live in Carrollton Georgia so I don’t get out there much and I asked to exchange an un-used microphone I purchased from them (over 90 days ago) for another item. They told me no. That’s basically it. Who says that to a potential customer? I know your starving for business but ok I’ll purchase elsewhere from now on. I like companies that are interested in my business. I recommend Willcutt guitars
8. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 6010 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
Everyone was courteous and friendly. I was able to get all the items I needed in one place.
I came here 2 days ago, not knowing anything about guitars or where i should start. I came in just hoping i can find a affordable guitar so i could start learning. Ansley helped me so much with my decision making. she spent her whole time with me, educating me on certain guitars with their background, the material used for them. I really felt confident in my decision making thanks to her help. i would definitely recommend going to her if you’re new and don’t know where to start like me.
I am visiting from Las Vegas and found Cheney Brannon, in the drum department to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend a few minutes with me. Cheney will be getting a call from me next year when I will be ready to buy my new Tama Star or Starclassic kit……
Friendly, very helpful
I bought a flute here then a month later it breaks while doing an E flat I am upset because I went again got it repaired then 3 days later it breaks
I’m not saying I’m being racially profiled, but every time I walk up in there, I always have older white gentlemen talking down on me. It’s disrespectful and unprofessional to a growing musician like me and I feel very unwelcomed. I know it’s Marietta, but nobody likes your white boy confidence, so please keep your employee’s attitude in check, even if you’re going through a hard time yourself
I waited a long time to get my things, such as my book, mouthpiece, and care kit. The care kit was not that bad, coming in after about 2 days, but the mouthpiece came after 15 DAYS– For ONE MOUTHPIECE. The book, though I had to wait even longer, but after I called them, I felt better about the service, as the employees were very helpful. The customer service is very good, but the shipping time is cruel.
9. UKE Republic Ukuleles
Address: 5000 Austell Powder Springs Rd SW STE 250, Austell, GA 30106 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
It’s a family owned and ran business whose knowledge of products, care and service to the customers is superb!!!! Mike and Donna are the Best!!
This store is super great! They have a vast selection of great quality ukuleles and accessories. The staff was also wonderful.
Tip: Yes, go into the massive brick building. The store is inside.
Fantastic service, so glad I made the trip to the store. I learned a lot and was able to make a very informed purchase. Highly recommend Uke Republic over going to a big box music store. My son will be thrilled with his new Ukulele.
I had a mixed experience. Through Uke Republic, I was able to get an electric ukulele (which are currently on worldwide backorder). Unfortunately, the one I received had a humbucker that wasn’t correctly attached. Mike sent me some screws to fix it but I’m not familiar enough with ukes to have done it on my own. I ended up paying to have a brand new ukulele fixed. I am sure that if I lived closer, Mike could have fixed this pretty quickly. This is the downside of mail order ukes. Hoping to visit his shop after the pandemic.
Ordered an Ohana O’Nino through UKE Republic. I went with this company because of their fast turnaround time AND included setup.Turn around time was fast but when it arrived it appeared to not be setup. I am very disappointed.
I retuned a Ubass to the store by UPS. I have heard nothing from Uke Republic and they have not credited my account after numerous attempts by email and phone. They may be a great store but customer relations needs serious improvement.
I ordered an Ohana ukulele from Uke Republic back in February. Having only played for about 4 months, I thought I had received a really nice ukulele. However, as my ears became more attuned to what I was hearing during the next couple of months, there was a definite intonation issue – especially when playing the A7 and A9 chords – muddy and awful sounding. The strings were changed on the uke, still the same intonation issue. I contacted Uke Republic, and it was suggested that the humidity and temperature where the uke is stored were too high. WHAT? It is a climate-controlled home, and the uke is stored in a case with a 49% Boveda pack. I was seeking advice on what the issue could be, and after I pointed out that the uke is properly stored, I have heard NOTHING from Uke Republic. They completely brushed me off and will not answer. I do NOT recommend buying from them, as they can not advise on what is wrong with a product they sell. I suspect that they knowingly shipped a problem uke to me.
Edited to add: I took the ukulele to a local luthier, and the action at the nut was way too high. After adjusting that, the weird intonation on the A7 and A9 chords was resolved. (I am offended that it was suggested that it was a humidity issue!) (The action was also lowered at the saddle.) It will have to go back to the luthier because of an intonation issue that has been mapped out on the 6th – 12th frets – the notes are off by 1 to 1 1/2 steps. Frets 1 – 5 sound great and are in tune – the rest are not. Still a problem ukulele, but it will hopefully be fixed soon.
10. Guitar Center
Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
I love this place, Richard and the rest of the guys there are super kind and helpful. If you ever need any work done on your guitar, Richard’s your guy.
Great people Great help
Nice clean store. Could have better selection of guitars and amps, though.
Hear me out. The store was understaffed and nobody even greeted me when I walked into the door. I was finally met by a wonderful representative. The guitar technician, Zach. While reparing my guitar Zach was able to assist customers efficiently and without fault. Zach gets 5 stars and hopefully you’ll give him a raise because the raring would’ve been substantially lower if not for him. Zach gets 5 stars, store gets 2.
I want to love this store but it seems like I’m constantly waiting for help when I go there. The dude at the music lessons desk is super helpful but I’ve had to wait for upwards of 10 minutes at the main counter prior to being helped.
Nice guys, but they have a solemn obligation to NOT answer the phone no matter what time you try to call. Makes it VERY difficult to do business with them
Worst experience I think I have ever had in a Guitar Center. I walked into the store, wasn’t approached by any salesmen, until about 30 minutes later after asking multiple people, and having everyone point to someone else. The whole time the staff was nowhere to be found, or laughing hysterically or avoiding customers. I’ve spent thousands of dollars over the years at multiple locations, and this place is a laughing stock. Not only is the staff worthless, but their knowledge on what they have in the store is quite embarassing. Do yourself a favor and shop at Ken Stanton, Maple St. Guitars in Atlanta, Earthshaking Music, or other local shops. Never spending another dime at this place.
It’s hit or miss at this location. Some employees are nice and a joy to work with and some are complete a-holes. I’d recommend ordering online and picking up in-store. With that being said I still wouldn’t recommend going to this location
11. Guitars -N- More LLC
Address: 14 W Main St, Cartersville, GA 30120 , Emerson , Georgia , United States
I wish more music stores were like Guitars-N-More. The people were all very helpful and friendly. They gave me an amazing deal on a sweet ltd flying v and an Ibanez amp. Best expeience I’ve had with any music store. I’ll be doing all my business there in the future, and I live two hours away!
My experience with these folks is that they are in it to help musicians. Surely running a music store (or any retail store) has some unique challenges. However, these folks are VERY receptive to any suggestions and are giving a nice flavor to the downtown area. Very positive VIBE. Stop by and talk with the owner. Very generous to the DDA and the city. Good citizens.
