Lots of knowledge and very helpful!! Joe fixed two of my guitars with parts he had in his repair area. It cost me $0.00. Can’t beat that!!
One of the greatest guitar stores I’ve ever visited and it’s right here in my hometown. Best to Joe and the family and hoping you weather this current difficulty and come out in good shape.
Awesome. So many guitars I could have stayed there all day.
Friendly staff and great selection of guitars.
Cool shop with a decent selection (as long as ukes, mandolins, and guitars are what you are looking for!) I was seriously in danger of walking out with (yet another) resonator guitar. And I’m not sure that danger has completely disappeared…
The prices are good for some things, a little marked up for others. But nice layout, selection, and service, and it feels good to support a smaller, local business.
Lots of musical instruments
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING A GUITAR OR ANYTHING FROM GUTIAR HEAVEN!!!!! a “JOHN LENNON REVOLUTION CASINO #338 OF 1965 WAS SOLD TO ME IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,459.40 PLUS TAX.
THEY TOLD ME IT WAS COMPLETELY ORGINAL AND I HAVE E-MAIL CORRESPONDENCE TO PROVE THIS!
COME TO FIND OUT AFTER SEEING OTHERS FOR SALE, THE CASE THEY INCLUDED WITH MINE WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL CASE FOR THE GUITAR! IT DID NOT HAVE JOHN LENNONS ART WORK ON THE CASE!
I FEEL SO CHEATED AND ROBBED!! CONFRONTING THEM ABOUT IT THEY SAID “SORRY WE CAN’T HELP YOU”!!
I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU USE CAUTION WHEN BUYING SOMETHING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE “IN ORIGINAL USED CONDITION”. ACTUALLY I WOULD ATTEMPT TO FIND THE PRODUCT ELSEWHERE AND FROM A ****REPUTABLE DEALER****!!!!!
I went in to look at guitars with my son, I saw the store online and really was looking forward to seeing some cool guitars. The woman approached me right away and was super rude, saying we couldn’t try any guitars unless we were going to buy something. Then we went to look at acoustic guitars and the guy was just following us, he didn’t even care to help us out or ask if we had any questions. I was looking to purchase a nice Martin, but not from there not ever. Super rude!!!! I have a lot of friends who were looking to check this place out as well. I will let them know about my experience too. They would have gotten some great business but they missed out. I would have given their store 0 stars but had to give them one.
Bought the Dean Soltero honey flame burst from there. Half off of 800.00 so I should’ve known there had to be a flaw in it. I was so stoked that they fed off of that knowing I’d most likely buy that guitar, I assumed they just wanted to get rid of that older model. Took it home and noticed a buzz towards the 12th fret and on and on both 6 , 5, 4, and 3 strings. Raised the saddle and bridge a bit but still a buzz. Took it back a day after the 3 day return policy because it was my only day off that week. and the owner proceeded to tell me it was a environment thing that the change in temperature made the neck bend. He adjusted the neck but still to no avail. He went on and on as if To tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about and insisted it was the weathers fault. Still spent close to an hour trying to adjust the truss rod but still did not remedy the buzz. Then he kept telling me I play too hard on the strings and that he couldn’t hear nor feel a buzz, almost to the point where he was almost implying that I was stupid. I kinda alluded to exchanging the guitar but he insisted it was me. Needless to say I loved the guitar and had hoped it can be fixed. Now I moved a good 10 hours away from SLO and I’m stuck with a guitar that buzzes no matter what I do. Nice selection of guitars though. Curse this shop if I can’t get this buzz out and end up having to take it to a professional. Buyers beware.
5. Mindtalker Self. Saxophone Street Performer and Master Counselor
Address: 319 N. HWY#1 SP.#9, Grover Beach, CA 93433 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Lots of old jewelry and some cloths. A few old toys brought back memories. We enjoyed looking around at all the treasures
My boyfriend and I came in here to kill time before lunch. He’s black, I am white. We found racist caricature type art in here! The second he found it we turned around and moved to walk out. I understand that some things are a part of history, but this is not a history museum and some things shouldn’t be sold! Then, on the way out he said goodbye to the ladies in there and the lady at the front literally ignored him. Then, I said bye and I got a “have a nice day!”
Also, there was no room to turn around in there – I have vertigo and I was kneeling down looking at something and lost my balance coming back up. I nearly knocked over like 2 displays. I get that me having vertigo isn’t the stores fault, but what if someone else trips? There should be space to move.
Seller Beware!!! I tried selling my kitchen angles at Pismo Pickers Antiques. I sold three for a net profit of minus ten dollars after they raked off $110. A good business plan if you can get away with it.
Let this be a cautionary tale. The owner is long on profit but sadly short on ethics. My advice is: Don’t buy or sell at Pismo Pickers unless you want your pocket picked.
I’ve been to this darling antique store many times and have always enjoyed shopping here. However today me and my husband and son dropped in and the lady behind the counter her name is Rhonda Odell, said to me I smell marijuana she said is it coming from you or something to that effect. I also observed her looking at another black customer as he walked through her store. The interesting thing is that my husband who is not black and I were together but she directed her rude question to me very loudly. I was upset, embarrassed and definitely racially profiled. As I turn to leave that racist environment she said “ oh your not leaving because I said that”? In hindsight it should have been a teaching moment. I hate to say it but I’m not sure if or when I will shop there again, I don’t want to support businesses that treat black people like they don’t want us in there. Another reason critical race theory needs to be taught!!

I first saw Ryan perform at a winery and was immediately impressed with his talent and musical style. I asked for his card, and soon after, hired him to perform at my rehearsal dinner and wedding welcome party. He played so many amazing songs – from oldies and recent hits – that we all knew and could dance to, and all of our guests were so impressed with his range of song genres – we didn’t want him to leave! He is reliable and super easy to work with, and I hope to enjoy his performances more in the future!
We were looking for the perfect music for our son and daughter-in-law’s pre-wedding celebration. After hearing Ryan play at a local Happy Hour, we got his contact info and he responded very quickly. Not only is Ryan a very talented musician, he takes the time to learn about his audience, their preferences and weaves in his own amazing style into the experience. We thought about hiring a D.J., but our decision to have Ryan instead, was the excellent choice.
9. Hot Topic
Address: 333 5 Cities Dr #128, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Good lots of new stuff and specials and lots of clearance and lots of disney stuff and shirts
Everything was organized and employees were very friendly
Nice friendly people. Kali was very helpful an helped me find everything I needed
Pretty big store. A few good discounts but not much more than a regular Hot Topic.
My daughter loves this place she always finds such cute and unique items.
Love this place lots of great deals
The store isnt anything like it used to be. Now its all cute and anime.. Guess its online shopping only from now on. At least the staff is friendly still.
N\A
There card reader crashes a lot
10. La Aroma De Havana Cigar Bar & Lounge
Address: 600 Dolliver St, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Friendly place had good selection of cigars and is more like a bad
I had a great time
Great place! They help my non profit out by donating a gift basket to one of our fundraisers, and in turn we get to go hang out at Havana for meetings! Not a bad place to be.
Awesome cigar bar. Great place to enjoy a stick with lots of screens. Amazing beer and wine selection. Many vitola to choose from. Nice crowd and great service. Do you self a favor and stop in for a great cigar and libation pairing.
Good selection of smokes and a good selection of beers on tap. Comfortable seating area with decent ventilation and TV’s. Definitely a locals spot.
Dope spot!
Every place I go on vacation, I always visit the local cigar shop. I have to say, most have stale cigars and unfriendly staff. This was the complete opposite. I didnt stay for a beer but I should have. Awesome place and quality cigars.
This “establishment” gave me one of the worst experiences in my life. In my opinion, the owner was so unbelievably unprofessional and immature, that I couldn’t even have a decent conversation with him about his employee that was undeniably uncivilized and disrespectful to me. I strongly believe that they are completely oblivious to what it takes to be a respectable business. I do not understand how someone could be so utterly rude and un empathic to another person.
11. Nike Factory Store – Pismo Beach
Address: 333 5 Cities Dr Suite 142, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
This is one of my favorite Nike outlet to go to the price is normally cheap and it’s never that crowded
Really nice place. Great choices
便宜但款式較舊。
Not enought options for the little ones.
Always have great deals here
The workers are really nice but they dont carry many shoes or insoles.
I came to return some shoes coming from Santa Maria . I was very disappointed in the shoe selection they had . no Jordans they had no Airmax 90s they had no Nike dunks no Air Force ones .. it’s a pretty nice store all the staff was very friendly and helpful
Very disappointed!!! Had to go back to the store next day to get the security tag removed from the shoes
12. Kraken Coffee Company
Address: 172 Pomeroy Ave, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Coffee was good. Ham and cheese croissant was delicious. Customer service was good, very nice people working there.
My husband had a coffee he said it was very good quality and flavor. I Had a matcha latte and a bacon and date scone. The matcha was very good, but the bacon date scone was to die for. It was a soft crunch outside and buttery soft inside. hella hella good. I would post a picture, but after the first bite I lost my manners and inhaled it.
Kraken has a great location next to the Pismo pier. The coffee shop was inviting and not too busy. My husband got the drip coffee and said it was standard. I got an almond milk latte with a house made lavender chamomile syrup – very yummy! My daughter loved her hot chocolate.
Kid-friendliness: The barista made the kids hot chocolate just the right temperature and made cute milk art. Also, the shop has some stuffed animals of sea creatures and my daughter picked out a stuffed octopus. They were Jelly Cat stuffies.
Workers here are pretty snappy and rude. Take caution
At least for my taste, the coffee is consistently bitter. I am local and there are many more places to go with better coffee. That said, they operate from an awesome location with seating overlooking the Pismo Pier area. I found the pastries are fresh and they have other options to please your taste buds.
Nice place, cashier was a meany pants, and coffee tasted sour homie.
Stayed at pismo for 3 days went both mornings at 7am closed, went at night closed.
I don’t understand what’s so hard to update your new hrs or having a sign up saying your hrs by the window.
Buen lugar para un café rápido, pocas opciones para comer y tomar té
there is a no bathroom and a latte cost 7 dollars
13. House of the Rising Buns
Address: 950 Price St, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
A must when in Pismo. Owner is super nice. All the bread is amazing! It is baked fresh, and you can taste the care the owner puts in to it with every bite. The meat is good quality as well, and sliced fresh per order. The condiment choices the owner has given, compliment each the sandwich perfectly. Even the simple grilled cheese on home made sourdough was delicious. My daughter ordered it our first day in Pismo, and asked for it again the next day as well. If I lived in Pismo, I would definitely be a regular. Cannot wait to come back. Also, take time to enjoy your sandwich on the patio in the back. It is adorable.
Got in, got out—3 minutes. Buns really are good; much better than baked-frozen-thawed breads sold at grocery stores. Lightly toasted them on the grill a few hours later. Quality of bun will make or break your burger—don’t settle for less. A+ product
Wow, stopped by just by chance because we were at the Vet, spoke with the owner, such a nice fellow, and ordered some dinner rolls for our Thanksgiving. They were the hit of the weekend, and thankfully I ordered in advance as they were completely sold out for walk in business when I picked them up. Can’t wait to try more items from this delicious bakery!
Delicous sandwich
Food was good, chili was good, need more help, 2 guys working were very busy.
Very tasty food and friendly staff
This place was expensive and food portions way too small. Food had no taste and was horrible..
I was looking forward to trying this place, but my veggie sandwich was soggy, small, and overpriced.
I expected more for a $15 sandwich, as there are other places in the area that make a good gourmet veg sammie for $6-8. Service was friendly & there is a cute dining area out back.
Arrived at this place and it was closed even though it was 1 PM
14. McDonald’s
Address: 350 5 Cities Dr, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
The food was awesome and so was the service. Aaron was awesome.
Good place great food chicken nuggets
Grear5good. Clean enviorment. Relaxing and great wifi
Forgot nuggets but I went in and they made it right.
Just like dad used to make.
Good place for getting fast food. Always check your order/s before leaving to make sure its correct and you have everything you ordered.
Soda tastes moldy!!!
The drive through service is lackluster. At least 50% of the time, they don’t give me any sauce and they often give me the wrong drink.
Disgusting people working there 11/1/22
Spent over $40, asked nicely for specifics on our order and there was attitude behind it. When I got home, we were upset to see that our order wasn’t as we asked. When I called the manager, he was very rude before I could specify what happened and hung up. When I called back there and asked again for the manager, whoever answered was making obscene noises then hung up again. I’ve never experienced anything like that at any kind of food chain nor restaurant. It’s horrible that people like that even touched our food! We won’t be eating it, cause who knows what they do when you can’t see!
There isn’t a better tattoo shop around. The atmosphere is welcoming as soon as you walk in. The artists are incredibly talented. Big thank you to my artist Kayla for my beautiful master piece. Can’t wait till our next session.
Philip is an amazing artist!!!
My first appointment was with Tanner to fix a piece on my hand, that really needed some love, and he completely transformed it. So, I made another appointment with him. The next one was a fresh start, and his ability to execute exactly what I wanted, was dead on. He’s a great artist, very professional, pleasant to be around, I highly recommend him! On top of all that, the shop is clean and sanitary.
Went to get a tattoo on my finger I have a sleeve, one on my wrist, and on my foo; the artists were treating me like I didn’t know how tattoos healed and the time the tattoo would take to get was incredibly long for such a simple concept making me feel dumb
Called multiple times with no reply and even tried to go into the shop a couple times to get the whole process started and wasn’t helped. 3 guys were just hanging out around the counter and looked at me, while I stood outside the locked door. Reply to the shop’s comment- I am soooo sorry for insulting the way you do business, didn’t know you guys wouldn’t be able to handle a bad review. As far as insulting my intelligence, yes I was able to read the sign the first time I tried to go in, and yes I know when store hours are. Very professional trying to insult my intelligence because I left a bad review and it hurt your feelings. Obviously I read the sign and knew when store hours were, you think I’d just show up at a random time and try to get lucky? And please don’t flatter yourself by thinking I created a google account just to leave a bad review. I’ve had one for years. But I understand you guys don’t know how to run a business and clearly can’t take criticism, 7 years of business soon to end. Don’t recommend going in to see these guys, if you leave a bad review they’ll try to fight you online and insult your intelligence and belittle you. Not ideal for gaining customers….
For 200$ an hour I expected a lot better quality ink.. my tattoo was probably about 4×4″ and just really wasn’t worth the price I paid. My artist was very nice and even got me in as a walk in but if you’re charging 200$ an hour everything should be quality but the line work was shaky to say the least. I want to go back to see what another artist can do hence why I won’t post the photo.
17. Tastes of the Valleys
Address: 911 Price St, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Robert helped us out today and was very pleasant and helpful.
Nice quiet place to go enjoy wine tasting in the Pismo area, they have some interesting local products including a chocolate liquer that’s excellent for milk based cocktails at home
Very pleasant, good wine, good staff. Nice quiet atmosphere.
Interesting but pricey place to taste a wide variety of local wines. If you do not want to run around to vineyards…this is it!
Great wine selection!
Knowledgeable host. Fine wines. 6 reds for $15.
Do not buy from them… They sent me a less expensive vintage wine than I ordered…. Never called to let me know this… Then made it a painful to return the wine.
18. Breezeway Cafe
Address: 230 Pomeroy Ave, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Amazing food and delicious drinks. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
Not only are the people really really nice there the food is delicious had a breakfast burrito that could keep you full pretty much all day. I wish I had known about this place sooner I will be visiting again
Absolutely amazing. Had a nice peaceful time here and would recommend it 100%
We had breakfast here. The coffee is ok. We had the Waffel with banana and Nutella and the chicken and Waffel. Both tasted like frozen warmed up waffels and the chicken was also previously frozen. The courtyard is beautiful though. I would recommend grabbing a coffee or ice cream and enjoy the courtyard. 4 stars for not making fresh waffels!
Super friendly people. Good variety of choice items for breakfast. CUTE patio in the back!
Good hearty breakfast (we tried the breakfast burrito, the breakfast tots, and the bagel sandwich) the waffles smell amazing but we didn’t try them this trip. Plenty of seating in the breezeway between the cafe and a hotel, and the service was super quick. Only downside is that they don’t have bathrooms even for customers.
Unfortunately they need to check their baked goods daily. The muffin I bought was absolutely covered in mold I find it hard to believe they couldn’t see it or it was the only one. Disappointed as the coffee was alright.
Very ordinary coffee… Didn’t try anything else
Enjoyed the food, but the service was poor. After ordering decaf coffee and asking for Almond milk in it, the server brought our food out and and when she brought my coffee, there was no almond milk in it. I asked for some 3 times and each time she ignored me, or promised to bring it but never did. I eventually ate my breakfast and threw the coffee away.
19. FluentGuitar
Address: 743 Huasna Rd, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
Justin at Fluent Guitar is helping me immensely to develop my skills as a classical guitar player.
I’ve benefitted so much from his teaching. He has helped me develop proper technique for this style, and he has a knack for selecting repertoire that is fun to play and gradually raises my abilities.
He’s friendly, gives excellent information, and inspires me to play better. I’ve enjoyed every session, and look forward to my lesson every week. Highly recommended! Thanks Justin!
20. Maddie Mae’s Pet Pantry
Address: 571 5 Cities Dr, Pismo Beach, CA 93449 , Pismo Beach , California , United States
I don’t own a dog but I feed the all meat treats from Maddie Mae’s to all the dog friends I see on my daily walks. Thanks for helping me to find healthy treats, meat only with no additives.
The sales person at Maddie Mae’s was very helpful in fitting our Molly with a sweater and harness. We picked up a leash, accessories and some training snacks. We loved the service and the store. We will definitely will be back.
We love this store! It’s always well stocked, clean and organized. The manager is great! He’s very knowledgeable and helpful. Even if we don’t “need” anything for our pets we love dropping in to browse new products and say hi! A wonderful addition to the Cal Fresh shopping center. ✌️
