Place is amazing. A small little shop that has houses tremdous surprises. You can find vintage equipement to latest marvels. Friendly atmosphere and local family feel. Need repaired or purchasing an instrument or just a set of strings. Everything I found there was in great descent shape. A variety of Instruments from accordians to brass to strings instruments of all sizes. Plus nice sortment of great name brands and nice selection of amps as well. I noticed that the instruments were all tuned and not looking all pawed by tuns of people. The person behind the counter I believe was the owner. She gave me a nice discount and a great story. I can share lil. Every first Saturday each month THEY hold a community event were locals and anyone out of town can participate in the Vintage swap and trade meet. Right there out on the side walk and the street next to them.
Amongst the other little story she shared.
Great nice little place to go. Enjoy.
Loved my experience passing through this store, very welcoming.
Friendly folks, great equipment and deals and lessons available. Check out this local staple!
Very helpful the information what’s good
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
2. Agave Music
Address: 2317 N 16th St, Phoenix, AZ 85006 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Very professional! I am a professional musician and teacher and I bought hear instruments and would not let anyone else touch my professional flutes and sax for repairs and adjustments.
I had such bad experience with getting my instruments fixed at other places, so I was very happy when I found AGAVE Music.
Also for beginners the place is good. … you can buy a silver Flute for around $300 and you know, it is in the best condition you can get in a 1000 miles!
Nowadays, when you buy a new instrument, I discovered that they just send it to you, expecting the manufacturer’s did everything right, which is not the case, transport and settling of pads may need attention. Chris from AGAVE MUSIC will take care.
Great attention to detail and walked me through everything he was doing!
Chris at Agave Music is the most proficient and honest instrument repair guy I have used in over 60 years. I have taken my flute to him for regular maintenance and it plays beautifully. Thank you Chris!
If you need your musical instrument repaired take it here
The guy in the back was cool but the bitter lady up front sucked
They did a great job repairing my tuba. The staff was friendly and helpful.
3. Central Music
Address: 5038 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Nice people and a wide selection of music study material
Great selection of music combined with good customer service. I love supporting long standing Central Phoenix businesses.
A very nice shop with friendly and helpful staff. They had just what we needed and gave some good advice as well
Interesting store with many options. There are many song books, instruments, and accesories available here. Certainly keeps that local shop, local owner/operator feel.
I go there frequently to buy strings, picks (I love the “cool picks” and the “ice picks”), polish, fretboard conditioner, etc, and no matter if I’m spending $1.00 or $100.00 they’re always friendly and helpful. I just wish they had guitar parts and things like effects pedals. Maybe someday they will but until then I’ll keep buying my essentials there.
They didn’t help me they said I had to make 4 other drives to get it
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
CentralMusic purchase policy of NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS: bought a gig bag/very nice. Also bought, and am now stuck with, Kremona KNG classical guitar pickup: rubber on the plug end is brittle/cracking. I tape-wrapped it BECAUSE NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. However, I do apologize to you, Central Music, because I should have examined that pickup, should have said “rubber boot has breaks” or something to that effect. But I bought it the day before my wife’s funeral service where I was scheduled to play for a bit. So, I was a little pressed for time, grieving My Beautiful Wife’s passing, not thinking before I posted my comments about Central Music. So, I am sorry if I sounded rude, because that’s not who I am. On the bright side, your shop was open, item was available, product does work, and I wish I could read music better because you have lots of sheet music available and other gear for sale.
4. Stinkweeds Record Store
Address: 12 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
They don’t take or sell house music CDs just like every other record store here. It looked nice inside. Employee was kind.
Staff was very helpful. Lots of new vinyls. Not many used.
Parking very hard to find!
buy more records. forget about the economy, you have to put more out there to get more in return. not only that, i would come down there more often. punk rules!!!
5. Boogie Music
Address: 3562 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Came here with a friend right at the start of Covid. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.
Best music store in the Glendale/Phoenix area.
Go here over Guitar Center EVERY TIME
Frank is great, he helped me get the gear I needed, when I needed it and was super helpful. Would go anywhere else!
My son took drum and is doing well in HS band and enjoying his skill. Now my youngest is learning piano. Would recommend.
They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.
Good place limited selection
They have a nice selection for a small place. Fair prices too!
The only reason I go to Boogie Music is for the absolutely wonderful work the Luthier, Brent does on my guitars at a very reasonable price. He gets 5 stars!!! Also the instructors are very good, at least I can say that for the guitar instructors. Now the reason for the rating. They have poor selection and fairly high prices. As far as guitars go, they only stock Taylor guitars (which are very good). Go try them there and find a better price on line. They do have some electrics, but mostly used or consignment. Now, the number one reason for the poor review is the owner. I give him a rating of ONE! To say this man is unpleasant, is being generous. He doesn’t want to answer or makes you wait for the simplest of question. He can’t handle more the one thing at a time. He will not let you see or talk to the other staff in the shop. Just today I picked up a couple of guitars I had work done on. The luthier was out. I said OK and paid for the work and took my guitars. I got home check them over and all was perfect. I wanted to call the shop and thank Brent personally for the fine work. The owner answered the phone and I asked to speak to Brent. He said, he’s to busy and we are taking all calls for him. Didn’t ask if I could leave a number and have him call me back. No pleasantries of any kind and would not let me speak with him, period! No other options where given to me. I have been going there because of the luthier for over two years now. I stopped going for months because I didn’t want to run into to the owner. So my suggestion is, if you want great work done on your guitar and can avoid the owner, go. Otherwise find somewhere else. All the other staff is quite pleasant. Unfortunately I will have to find another place to go. I’m not willing to deal with that kind of altitude and service from this person.
I agree with Reyna’s post. I received similar treatment when searching for a trombone for my son. The owner was condescending and rude. It felt like he did not want our business. I asked to see the instruments he had available for sale. His response was that the instruments were well into the thousands and that he recommended a rental. We asked to see the rentals and said he only had one to choose from. I asked if we could pull the trombone out of the case and he said absolutely not. He said we had to sign the contract before we could handle the instrument. I dont understand how we would be expected to buy an instrument without even touching it. I thanked the man for his time and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
(The Grinch that stole music.)
I feel like Boogie Music is a great little music store, if you can avoid the owner. (Based on about 20 visits over 2 years and ballpark $1300 spent.) My impression is that the owner is overworked, doesn’t delegate enough, and runs on small margins that keep him stressed out and always a few seconds away from snapping on someone. Don’t get me wrong, he is a salesmen to the core, if your intent is to buy something off the wall, ask no questions about it, not negotiate on price, and get out of the store, you will have a fantastic time. If you should disagree with or not value the store owners opinion on an issue, you get to meet the other guy, who just makes you want to never shop there again, but you have to, because you already signed your kid up for lessons. To hear him speak to his staff/instructors when he thinks your not around or not paying attention is one of the most uncomfortable feelings you can feel in a store. Some of the instruments have a warranty, but the owner comes “as is”. Caveat Emptor
6. Guitar Center
Address: 2750 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
I’m at Guitar Center and saw these. Thought they were cool.
Great service as always
Guillermo was such a huge help and a very talented musician. This location offered a great variety and great customer service.
1st time goer! Was helped as soon as we walked in! We were shown to a person who knew exactly wat we needed and got us in n out! Great costumer service! Thx!
Great place , sales associate’s helped out. A military discount was given to my son as well.
Lots of gear
Better off going to Sam Ash
Came to purchase a sound shield for my microphone. Price was listed on sale for $79.99 in multiple locations through the pro audio section. It rang up as $99.99. When I asked about the sales price the sales rep stated “oh yeah… I for got to take those signs down.” Would not honor the listed price. Not coming here again.
People are very unhappy to work there keep on talking about how they’re not trained
7. Tantillo Productions
Address: 2501 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85006 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Tantillo Productions has helped our company excel in the entertainment industry.
I’m an Emmy-nominated TV Host, former Fox News Channel anchor, and President of a media-training company based in LA. When I decided to launch a podcast, I knew it had to be top-notch, and hired a PR team to help book top-level clients. I needed a Producer and am so fortunate to have been referred to Nick at Tantillo Productions! He’s been an absolute gift to our whole operation. Sure, he’s skilled and super easy to work with – but what makes him unique is that he becomes as invested in our success as we are! My standards for quality are high- and so are his. He takes great pride in his work and clearly loves what he does. Nick is one of the most genuine people I’ve met in the business. He’s a “keeper”- and we plan to keep him on our team forever!
Great quality production! I had a great experience and will definitely be working with this company on future projects.
8. Premier Studios
Address: 1142 W Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Great sounding rooms. Clean. Professional staff. Affordable pricing.
Very professional. Very roomy. Cool staff and I felt comfortable singing here.
One of my favorite places to rehearse. Mainly because of the great customer service, the sound, and the extremely clean bathroom
Outstanding place to rehearse for bands
This used to be an essential spot for local musicians to practice and rehearse. I was very disappointed when they replaced the rehearsal rooms with podcast rooms. A big loss to the Phoenix music scene.
Could focus on better soundproofing and also better ventilation for the studios
might’ve just been my experience but do not book with tristan. terrible
I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years at this establishment. I had a family emergency come up and had to cancel a booked practice space. The response I got was a lecture about how I was costing them money by canceling and was told they were uncomfortable with me scheduling in the future. I expect an apology and will never consider going through them again until I get one.
Good place. Poor soundman. Just wanted paid. Didnt care about quality.
9. Allegro Music
Address: 3510 E Bell Rd #23, Phoenix, AZ 85032 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Bought a clarinet from them for my daughter. Made payments for 3 years. Never had an issue. Everytime we needed anything for the clarinet or for her classes for the last five years they have been there for us.
Great place to get any instrument repaired. Jim always does a great job.
EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY AND VERY KIND STAFF! I highly recommend Allegro if you are looking to buy, rent or repair an instrument!!! 5 stars is not enough for the great service they provide!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Richard was an absolute dream. I’m very antisocial and awkward and he made me feel welcome without being overwhelmed. Great conversation and a true heart in this man
These guys have been trying to take advantage of whoever they can for decades. Screw them.
10. The ‘In’ Groove
Address: 3300 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Very good collection of high quality new and used vinyl. You can tell the records have been cleaned and inspected and are in great shape. Mike is very helpful and knowledgeable about all things vinyl. And the selection of turntables was pretty darn good too. I’ll go back as often as I can.
Great selection of vinyl and other formats. Will be coming back in the future.
Best record store in Phoenix period!!!
Great selections. Could use more reasonably priced used records.
What a great selection and well organized, how ever, the prices seemed to be rather high. Lots of old records sold at new record prices. All records seemed well cared for and the sleeves were like new but still seemed overly priced.
Cool shop & great selection of records & items.
Staff has horrible attitude’s. Didn’t feel like they wanted to be there and not helpful at all!!
Only go here if you hate money. Be prepared to pay 200-300% more for records here, all while being ignored by their staff.
The store has a wide selection of music. But, it is all overpriced and the manager was very rude. He stated that he wasn’t going to let me put a crate of cassettes on his counter to look through them. He said ” I’m not going to have you scratch my display for a 99 cent cassette.
11. Demŭn Studios
Address: 2211 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
We do a weekly podcast in the podcast studio at DigiLabs. It takes our show to the next level. Great studio and affordable rates. Highly recommend them for all media services.
Great audio and knowledgeable staff. Prices are right on for podcast recording.
Had A Great Experience With My New Buddy “Tyler D Engineer”… 7 Tracks In 4 Hours. I Highly Recommend His Studio..

12. Monty’s Music
Address: 4845 E Greenway Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Great store!! Took in a Dulcimer for strings and tune up. Fantastic service!!
Best selection of harmonicas I’ve found in the Phoenix area
GREAT MUSIC SHOP! THEY EVEN HAVE KIDS GUITARS! Met Monty himself and sold me his metronome. Highly recommend!
They don’t close at 6. The sign says 6ish. Literally. That means before 5:45 anyway.
I love these guys, but just close at 5 or whatever. 6ish isnt helpful at all.
Wanted me to tip him $25 dollars to pick up a guitar I had consigned to him for a week. Really? I tipped him, as I felt pressured to do so, but it was unprofessional and discourteous. Left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning. Avoid.
Son took lessons for 1 month and 125 into the investment my son could play one string and didn’t even know what it was called . Lessons over priced and underrated go some where else for them.
Would not recommend this store to anyone, the teachers are sarcastic and condescending. Very underwhelming, uninspiring store, not to mention the Guitars are Rip Offs. Guitar Center is much Better.
13. Acoustic Vibes Music
Address: 2070 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Im from Florida and honestley didnt knew about this awesom music store. I had an order placed with Sweetwater but they didnt has the guitar in stock. I waited 3 weeks and called them. Then Sweetwater told me that they will have the guitar for mid February. What????? I have to wait that long. Nop!. Them I started to search and found Acoustic vibes music. They had my guitar in stock for me and ready to be shipped. I canceled Sweetwater and placed the order with Acoustic Vibes Music. And one hour later they called me to confirm the shipping address and the order details. The guy was amaizing in the phone and my guitar will be home soon. Now I have not to wait until February. These company is really professional. They are now my first opption to buy my guitars.
Thanks for everything Acoustic Vibes Music.
My name is Miguel. Im a professional classical guitar player with a big collection of guitars and looks like my guitar collection will still growing with Acoustic Vibes Music.
Phil and Dylan have always been very helpful and knowledgeable answering all my questions and concerns with my guitars. They aren’t pushy trying to sell new guitars. They want the best guitar for each customer.
Phil explained all adjustments and extra work required to get my Taylor fixed up
He was awesome! And super knowledgeable!!
Nice acoustic design,
all acoustic guitars top shelf brands.
High end guitars on an eclectic atmosphere with no pressure sales.
Best music store in the area to peruse some of the best acoustic instruments by selected boutique and mainstream builders. The stock is priced between $3 and $10k but the reward for spending more is finding the equivalent of a Steinway (beautiful tone, resonance and playability) in a steel or nylon string guitar. Cheaper instruments are available, but comparing them to the better ones is motivation to indulge yourself or reward yourself for hard work in getting better. Better sound makes you play at a higher level. Check this small store out!
Very unfortunate visit, coming in to try out and buy a steel string guitar. We were greeted with passive aggressiveness and a magazine thrown across the main entrance before entering the guitar room from the shop keeper, young guy. incredibly rude and 0 customer service.
Made the whole stay unpleasant.
Monday 11:10am
Good selection, but weird atmosphere and left me feeling unwelcome. One might think such a ‘high’ tier guitar store would offer a ‘high’ tier experience, but that wasn’t the case for me. When I first entered the building I was met by a few older customers and employees and got nothing but a sour face by everyone just by opening the door, no greeting, nothing- super awkward, everybody literally stopped talking to look at me with an irritated look, as if I had interrupted something. I then had to excuse myself past the small gathering of what looked like employees talking to customers that wouldn’t move just to get to the first guitar room. I then was greeted by a salesman who instead of letting me tell him what I’m looking for, proceeds to go into a shpeel on all the different Martin models, basically making me interrupt him to tell what I’m looking for. The salesman also told me HD28s don’t come with dot inlays yet here I am looking at older models with them all over the internet. There was nobody else browsing the store in the guitar sections. I was then told I could play guitars, but the adjacent rooms are used for things like Banjo, which made it so I couldn’t even hear the guitars I was trying to play because somebody was in there clawing away. I really don’t think I’ll be visiting again, regardless of the selection. I’ll spend thousands of dollars somewhere else that takes every customer seriously. I went to Milano music right after and was treated respectfully and seriously without hesitation, and I didn’t need to schedule a high-pressure sales pitch and waste an hour of my time.
14. Guitar Pickers
Address: 2302 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Great place for used higher end guitars, amps and equipment. Knowledgeable staff, great customer service, fair prices. Consignment sales offered for a small percentage of sale price, but way easier and more effective than Craigslist sales.
Great staff. Great location, great selection, great prices….super experience, second to none…..
Owner operated with real knowledge. An old time guitar shop. Good people, and a terrific luthier in house also!
Low stock but it’s made up for in quality? I think you guys need a bigger space.
Nice guitar selection but not many to choose from. The prices are higher than any other guitar shop in town.
Nice family owned place.
Do not do business here. Youve been warned. Terribly dishonest people.
Bad experience in having them sell 2 of my bass guitars on consignment. In 4 months it did not sell. I went to pick them up and saw that 1 of the basses had some marks (indentations) and scuff marks on the metal that were not there when I left it with him. The basses were inspected when I left them to make sure they were in pristine condition. I still have my original paperwork and we inspected the basses. There were no indentations or anything noted on my paperwork to indicate that it was not in 100% perfect condition. Went home and placed an add for 1 of them on TALKBASS.COM for the same price and it sold in less than 1 hour. The other bass I have to try and fix from their damage before I sell it on my own. I do not recommend this place!
This place is way OVER PRICED. Also, all the SPAM ON CRAIGSLIST is getting kind of ridiculous.
The worst part about my multiple experiences at this place is the way I’m treated by the owner, Al Lieberman. He’s very cocky and acts like his $%!T doesn’t stink. But let me tell you, it sure does. Today he argued with me about a price difference in what the market value of a used Gibson J-45 with a CRACK!
Anyway, don’t support a business that looks down upon its customers, sells over priced instruments, and treats them terribly. Al, I will never return to your store ever again.
15. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
Really appreciate the good customer service and friendly staff
Great time spent there. Wasn’t even considering buying a guitar but ended up buying a used Gretsch hollow body because I thought it looked dope, sounded dope, and played like a much more expensive guitar. Not that I can play well, but now greatly motivated to devote much more time. Sam (not Ash) in guitars was awesome. Helped with set-up, advised me expertly on some accessories. Great guy, great guitar at a very fair price. I’m stoked!
They’re not kidding when they say come in and play
Nick in Audio is ALWAYS very helpful in suggesting the correct gear for your needs. He is always my GO TO Guy for all my A/V needs.
Thank you very much Nick your years of dedicated service.
Fun place to shop for musical instruments and accessories of any kind from slide whistles to full Drum sets to DJ equipment and stage and rigging equipment . Very friendly and knowledgeable people as well.
My husband favorite place! Best deals in town!
As me and my friends were trying out some drums we were told by a white Lady to let some white guys try them out. Also when we went to look at the sticks the lady followed us and watched us the entire time. This was a very uncomfortable situation and I will never return here, we are Hispanics and I don’t feel that we should be treated this way. I usuall don’t get offended by these things but this lady was very disrespectful. I’m not sure what her name was but she was working in the drum department.
$80 for a setup when everything is said and done. Labor and strings. . I use to bring all my guitars here for work but likely won’t be returning. The luthier does great work but the price gouging is ridiculous here. Guitar Center does setups for $50.
Over priced and customer assistance is lacking the knowledge necessary to help customers.
16. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
The people there are super nice. I took in my trigger trombone to be repaired. The case it was on had seen better days(it is a school rental), and they repaired it with some tape and glue. Also my trombone is working better than ever!!
Brought my 89 Strat ultra to the Brindley’s. Very knowledgeable staff, friendly and accommodating. Just needed a setup and a neck tweak. Asked if he could find a screw for the roller nut. He said he’d look around for one he found one and when I got the guitar back, hasn’t played this good for a long time.
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
After more then 10 months taking lessons a the place, and incident where the owner Bruce, disrespected my 11 year old for just looking at around the store just show what kind of service this place have. Extremely disappointed with Bruce, going back there no more. I’m sure there are other places with better costumer service.
My guitar teacher was the best, so sad situation here.
I had heard so many good things about this place from other musicians, so my S/O and I decided to try it out. We needed our guitars set up, mine electric, hers acoustic. When we brought the guitars in, we were given a sort of turned up nose treatment when we revealed our guitars. Mine a Purple Paul Reed Smith Custom 24, and hers an older blue Ibanez acoustic. Granted our guitars weren’t the most expensive, but we both loved them dearly (Mine was an anniversary present from her, and hers was her first guitar ever). I explained to the gentleman behind the counter what was going on with my guitar (Dead fret on the high E, also needing a full set up, action lowered, set up with 10’s.). My S/O explained that hers needed a set up as well. We handed over our guitars, and left with confidence.
A few days later we picked our guitars up, and went home to check them out. It. Was. Terrible. They raised the action on my PRS so high that it was almost unplayable, and the gentleman who did the set up said that he did so to get rid of the aforementioned dead fret, even though I gave express permission to do whatever was necessary to solve the issue while keeping the action LOW. That could have meant a level, crown, polish, replacement etc. Anything to keep the action low. My girlfriends acoustic buzzed so terribly on every single fret on the top three strings after we took it in, she has resorted to buying a brand new acoustic, because this place left hers unplayable. Now most people might say ”well if they messed up, take it back and have them fix it” but believe me when I say that when we saw the condition of our instruments, I would NEVER trust them in the hands of this place again. I really wanted to like this place, but after the treatment we and our instruments received, we’ll go elsewhere. Please stay away for your own good.
Called to inquire about an instrument. Owner laughed at my question and was extremely rude. He didn’t answer my questions, and refused to give any useful information.
17. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
I have been stopping in from time to time to pick up strings or a strap or cord. Nice folks! About a year ago I was in buying a strap for one of my guitars when I spotted a 12 string Fender. I played it and fell in love. All I can say is they worked so hard to get it all together, found just the right case, AND gave me a better deal that Guitar City could offer! I appreciate their professionalism and courteous service. Keep up the good work!
….friendly people….good drum sticks….and Brendan takes very good care of my 12-yr old granddollies’ !!!!…
The best store in the state for sheet music
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
DO NOT shop here, the employees are rude, the owner is rude, their selection sucks, not even half of what they had even a year ago. Quality has gone way down hill. It won’t be long till they’re gone.
Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had, 3 people working and not one of them tried to help me whatsoever and 2 of them didn’t even acknowledge I was in the store! Very poor service
They have nothing for the drummer! Maybe some sheet music? But nothing more!
18. Atomic Guitar Works
Address: 8550 N 91st Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
These guys Rock!
They have done set ups and fretboard work on both my PRS SE Custom 24 and my American Strat. Couldn’t be happier with the work. They also make some awesome custom guitars!
Honest. Experienced. Quality. No need to go anywhere else. If you’ve found Atomic and Tim. Than you’ve won. You found the answer and the solution.
The best guitar shop I’ve ever been to. Tim & Harry are consummate professionals. I’ve been bringing guitars to them for 10 years now, ranging from 5-figure custom shop instruments to imports, and they treat every one of my guitars with the utmost respect and consideration. They’re master certified to work on Gibson and Taylor acoustics, which is an important variable to consider when bringing in non electric instruments.
Over and above the quality of their work, they’re just great guys. Always kind, conversational, and sharing their wisdom in areas that are helpful to players and owners. Highly recommend.
A great place to get a custom made guitar
You have been warned. They talked like they knew the product very well to build trust. They overpromised and underdelivered when I got my guitar back and still wanted to make excuses???, the work I asked for was clearly stated in the receipt.
Small but impressive guitar shop. Nice selection of after market parts and strings.
The guy who answered the phone was a jerk. I took my guitar to someone else.
Just got off the phone with one the associates here. Arrogant and unhelpful.
I bought a charvel jake e lee model that supposedly was built by someone at atomic guitars and it was the worst thing I’ve ever played, held or experienced. Everything about it was off from the neck pocket to the fingerboard and frets. I was told that it was built by the guys at atomic guitar and I hope that wasn’t the case at all.
19. The Record Room
Address: 2601 W Dunlap Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021 , Encanto , Arizona , United States
This is an amazing record store a great selection of records! Open at convenient times too!
Super cool record store!!
The store has a great selection of records for great prices. They have $1 bins which are a blast to look through
This place is ok if ya wanna browse for awhile. Lots of records.. You can find some great deals.. The layout is a little confusing.
Wide selection of records old and new. Also CDs and cassettes are available . Some great musical gems to find while vinyl/album hunting. They also have shirts, skateboards, and electronics available as well. The stock continually changes as they get new stock in so every trip is a new adventure
Love it here they always have a great selection and know where to get even more
Went in on Monday April 18th around 11 am. Old guy in there seemed annoyed with my presence. I asked a question if you guys had a certain artist and the guy in there seemed upset I was bothering him… A big selection, a few newer things. I didn’t look for too long since the atmosphere seemed a little uncomfortable.
Spent almost an hour here searching their great selection and decent price only to have the gentleman at the checkout counter yell at me for putting my vinyl in a bag while I shopped. I told him no problem and he continued to be aggressive/rude. I had probably $300 worth of vinyl I left there at the register and I will never step foot in the establishment again. Plenty of other quality shops in the area (thankfully). Don’t go here unless you want to be talked down to and berated. Sad cuz they had some albums I really wanted.
Rude and Awful customer service. No shirts priced.

Loved this place! Steve was so awesome and he spent time explaining how to properly care for my daughter’s viola! I am happy we decided to rent her viola from Arizona fine violins.
Absolutely amazing service for my 9 year daughter. Highly highly recommend!!!
Nice folks and very knowledgeable
I rented a cello for my daughter the 2017/2018 school year my experience with this company was very easy stress-free affordable and they were always available for any questions I might have had at one point I actually had a hard my daughter’s cello repaired and I paid nothing out of pocket because when you a instruments it includes the warranty if you’re looking into renting an instrument for your child I would definitely recommend Arizona fine violin
Returned a Viola 1 day late and was charged for the entire month. Pathetic that they are willing to lose a customer for 1 months rental fee. Good business ethics are priceless. Unfortunately this place is trying to squeeze every nickel. Do yourself a favor and go to a place recommended by a friend.
They keep trying to charge me every month for a guitar I never received. I filed multiple disputes with my credit card and won. Still they keep trying to charge me. Their customer service is unreachable yet they keep sending notices, asking me to pay for something they didn’t deliver. Fraudulent business.
I’m leaving this review with the hope that someone would reach out from customer service or management.
Horrible place… Go across the street, they rent junk 100 dollar violins. If gonna do that buy one off Amazon. Like I said go across the street, they are honest, Unlike this place.
