Gabriel is a creative and dynamic professional, pushing every project beyond expectations. He is my go-to guy, when a project needs top quality original score.
Gabriel understands tone, emotion & story, which helps him create a better score than I could have imagined. Not only does he understand the emotion within each scene of the film, but the emotional struggle of each character. He takes great detail in choosing the right instrument to represent each character in the story. His choices are original, not expected, but they consistently leave me amazed.
Gabriel is a great composer! I worked with him on commercials and he’s super reliable, fast, super talented, and makes outstanding music.
Brought in a Ludwig snare drum to restore – it was perfect after, like brand new. Reasonable price within a reasonable time frame. Very professional and knowledgeable. Supporting small business.
Amazing transformation of my 1971 Ludwig’s!! Great work Ron!! I live near the ocean and over 10 years, all my hardware and cymbals rusted! He completely refurbished the kit and it’s stunning!! Highly recommend! Cheers!!
RFS Drums did a magnificent job refurbishing my pearl vintage drum set. My floor tom had been sitting in a very damp garage for about 15 years and was in the worst shape when I brought it to Ron at RFS. He was able to bring it back to life, and it looks as good as it did as when I first bought it. I’ll be using RFS again soon for another Ludwig set I’m pulling out of storage.
Theres always a great vibe to the studio and makes me always want to come back here. The owners Yan and Tal are extremely nice and know what they are doing when it comes to taking care of their clients or making the right moves for the studio.
LOWEST RATES IVE SEEN IN LA, AND GREAT EQUIPMENT. and im also so glad they provided me with an engineer with a pretty low price also. one of the best studios I’ve worked at.
16. Norman’s Rare Guitars
Address: 18969 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356 , Encino , California , United States
This is my old stumping ground when I used to stay in Los Angeles. Anytime I’m here, I can stay for the whole day just looking at all those beautiful guitars
What an amazing store and what an amazing group of individuals working there. Norm, Mark, Nick…what a great, informative group of guys. They will take as much time as you need, educate, provide honest advice and answer questions straightforwardly. And the selection! Everything you could ask for. Honestly, I can’t say enough about the store and, more importantly, the folks working there. I can’t wait to go again. And again.
I’d turn this rating up to 11 if I could.
Love this place would love to visit it. Love watching Norman and his guests on you tube trying out some simply gorgeous guitars. Guitars I’ve only ever seen in books like early 50’s strats, gibsons etc. Guitar of the day/ week. Norm’s latest buys of vintage/ retro what a dream job. I simply love guitars and I love Normans and what he and his staff contribute to the music industry and what plessure they provide for young and old by letting them handle and play some beautiful time pieces. Love watching Joe Bonnamasa when he visits and sometimes trades in or part ex’s some of his guitars. Well done Normans simply love your shop, and your you tube programmes. Keep on rocking and keeping up the great work.
Mecca for guitar players
Magasin incroyable, il y a tout.
Les tarifs s’en ressentent un peu, mais on achète quand même car c’est le seul endroit qui a ce qu’il a. Norm m’a offert un t-shirt pour me consoler.
i’ve only been to Norms twice. didn’t get any snobbish attitude at all, from anyone in the store. on the contrary, they were all friendly. they have to figure most of the people that walk in really can’t afford a lot of what they are selling. who’s regularly looking for a rare 63′ custom color Fender Jaguar, in mint condition, at $16K (or whatever), anyway.
shoot, you never know who might be at Norms when your there as well. i met Rudy Sarzo the last time i was there.
Horrifically rude staff, all the men in the store were having an ego-fest and one of the employees told myself and my bandmates to stop trying the guitars so they could record an acoustic video. No use carrying rare guitars if you’re not going to be welcoming to people trying them. Tone down the ego and work on your manners.
Norm was terribly rude to me. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but they wouldn’t even let me plug in a guitar. They will not be gaining my return business.
Overrated store. Appointment only. Seems like they do not enjoy customers at their store.
17. Effective Communication and Mediation / Didgerididoos
Address: Moorpark St, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 , Encino , California , United States
So happy I found them! After going through so many teachers that didn’t know how to teach, I finally found them! Very professional stuff and close to my house. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for music classes or art.
I recommend this school to anyone who wants to not only learn how to play music but also to read notes and understand them! This music school is for all ages. Whenever I’m in there, the time just seems to fly away because it is so amazing!
Encino school has a unique system for beginners and medium piano students. It makes it fun and easy to learn to read music and play piano. The atmosphere is friendly and fun relaxing and games for the little ones. Experience show that no matter how long a person stop taking piano lessons as soon as he sees the music in front of him he/she starts playing. Yes the system makes students learn how to read music forever and in a fun away. No bulky theory signs, or words, or foreign languages. Everything is simple and ready to go. The owner and founder Marina Simpkins has a unique, almost therapeutic approach with children and they always come back and love her. Don’t hesitate to check out the school there’s always a display free lesson.
