Schmitt Music is dedicated to pianos in every way. Not only do they have a wide selection of pianos, but they offered concerts by internationally renowned pianists. Their staff is knowledgeable, dedicated and helpful.
I have nothing but great things to say about the staff and business at the Denver location Schmitt Music. Dino and Betsy helped me buy a fantastic Roland Digital Piano that was on Clearance so as to fit my budget. I have held my studio recitals in their recital hall and the staff is very patient and friendly when my students roam around before and after trying out all the pianos! They have a wide variety of pianos and digitals to choose from and I always direct my students to check out their inventory when choosing a piano.
We worked with Betsy and had a wonderful experience purchasing a baby grand. Would highly recommend the store and Betsy, in particular! She was very knowledgeable and especially friendly.
I’ve Only been a phone customer but it’s been a month & Schmitt Music keeps Me informed of every event or options offered through their Co.! I’m anxious 2 make it into their store as I’m Positive I’ll Be treated Wonderfully!
It’s a very clean and nice store, I wish they had a bigger variety of piano brands, but other than that it was GREAT.
We visit Schemit to find a piano my daughter and Betsy was there helping us. She spend quite some time with us and showed the stocks of pianos around our budget. My daughter tried many pianos there and we did have ideas of what we want. Unfortunately, a buyer was ahead of us. It was a good experience with the store, though.

I made a mistake in going in to try out a piano a 8 years ago.
The price was very high, and they use high pressure sales tactic.
Worst, they have bombarded me with email spam ever since, I can’t get off that. If you read, please tell me now to get off your list. Calling you did not help.

I run a rehearsal space in Denver and the Mic Trainer has been a great addition to the PA. It’s especially good for those who are new to singing into a microphone. Plus it keeps singers from blasting straight into my mics and blowing out my board with a too hot signal. Check these out! Great for any rehearsals or bands.
Where has this been all my life?! I can’t sing without one now! Mic Trainer helps me get a consistent and clear sound. Thank you!!

My daughter takes violin lessons from Erin and she rented her violin from here. Erin is great at communicating and gives out a schedule for makeup lessons. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful.
Drove from Montbello to get my daughter’s violins restrung and was so glad we made the drive! The employee we worked with was very knowledgeable and was able to get my daughter’s violins restrung quickly. Definitely worth the drive!
This shop has great workers that are happy to help new music players fall in love with their new instruments, fix those that need a little love and they do lessons.
Nice place check it out
Decent sheet music selection. They do repairs but send the instrument off for them to be done. Double check the repair receipt as mine was overcharged by $120.00. They did fix the error, but only after I argued 3 times with the workers. Satisfactory but not my first choice. I do love the accessory selection though.
i guess its okay if you want a 99$ beginner acoustic or an overpriced pair of drum sticks…
Music & Arts on Lone Tree is far superior to this location. Thought I’d try this store since it’s a little closer to my home. The employee I dealt with today treated me like a total inconvenience. Going back to Lone Tree.
I rented a saxophone for my kid for school, and no complain about the instrument. However, when school was closed because of COVID, we no longer need it. The store was closed of course, nobody answered the phone. I left a message on their website asking about returning, nobody ever replied me, they just continued to charge my credit card.
Run don’t walk from this business! Worst experience I have ever had. The company policy of auto billing for lesson and auto scheduling is broken and just wrong! I would call each week and ask that they cancel my lesson and remove me from the auto scheduling only to be on the next weeks schedule. Also asked the manager to no bill my card for another month of lessons only to be billed and then I find out the manager has left. What a terrible experience and I will never do business with this company again. I wish I had checked with the bbb web site before doing business with this company. Terrible reviews and right as rain!

I am a firm believer that Harvest guitars are the best acoustics that you can buy for any price point. I’ve been playing guitar for 11 years and I’ve never played a nicer or warmer acoustic.
Great collection of new and vintage guitars. The museum is awesome also!
If you are a music lover of any instrument, this is a need to go to place. I WOULD highly recommend it.
I had originally discovered this company years ago and formed a outstanding relationship with the owner, Gordon.
I drove over there the other day because I definitely wanted to give Gordon’s cause a donation. Gordon does this thing which is called “Guitars for our Troops”.
He sends out Guitar’s to people in the military that are at war, want to learn how to play guitar or some even have PTSD and finding a way thru music helps calm the nerves and chases out some of those demons.
Gordon ended up buying his own building and moved to this larger place a couple years ago. As I visit often, I just love to go in and talk to Gordon and see all the instruments although I play none. I went the other day and was very happy to see JP who sometimes works out of there, he does private guitar lessons and was my daughters first and only guitar instructor.
Gordon is working towards turning this amazing building into an instrument Museum, I know he will get it done.
Our family had decided to donate our old Victrola that has been in the family for years.

It was really nice of the guy who I tried selling my records to tell me how much my records were worth and convince me to try FB marketplace since they were only gonna buy mine for $1 ea. Told me I was trying to sell them for way too much and he was right! I listed my records at $5 ea like he said and they finally started selling! It was nice to get that second opinion that they werent worth a lot since they were my dad and uncles and I was afraid of getting rid of them.
Shop selection of Vinyls is great. Even picked up some really cool tapes. Shop owner is very kind and informative. Definitely going to be back in the future.
I sold my record collection here, highly recommend!

Tricky to find but worth it once you’re there. Good selection and pricing, knowledgeable, repairs, and lessons. Just drive around left to the back of the building

Teague is absolutely awesome! I started lessons with him a few months ago. I came back to playing guitar after taking about a year off. I was worried about returning to this activity as I thought I had forgotten everything and was self conscious about my lack of skill. But Teague has been very patient, attentive, and compassionate. He always meets me where I’m at, yet gently pushes me to progress. He has made learning guitar a pleasure and has helped me ease back into it!
Teague has really been a great guide in this journey of learning to play the guitar. He listens and builds based on your progress but also pushes you just a little more each time. He has a very peaceful nature which calms my nerves when I mess up. I would recommend him highly and am glad to be able to learn from him.
I have been playing guitar for six years and have always had a teacher. Until I began studying with Teague a year and a half ago my progress was limited. I went through several teachers and none of them taught in a way that progressed my playing goals. Teague understood those goals and together we came up with a formula to meet them. During my time with Teague I have begun making the meaningful progress I sought. Teague is very knowledgeable about “music “and he can educate. I have found that most guitar teachers may play well, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into teaching well. Teague is a teacher, not just a player. One critical aspect of Teague’s lessons is his focus on guitar ergonomics. Teague will guide students to proper playing techniques which economize playing effort, and reduce chance of injury. This is a critical element of guitar which most teachers do not address. It’s invaluable. I recommend Teague for every level of guitarist.

Aaron Walker is an amazing guitar teacher! I would recommend him and DMI to anyone wanting to learn how to play guitar!
I found Denver Music Institute through a google search on the internet and what a find! My granddaughter has been taking drum lessons for nearly 3 years (she is 10). What a great place. Convenient with accessible parking. Comfortable learning environment, flexible hours for instructions, reasonable lesson prices, and a very qualified instructor. My granddaughter has grown musically in leaps and bounds since she has started lessons. I believe this is due to the skilled instructor she has. She has learned all facets of playing her instrument. When she plays with others at jams (usually with adults) they are amazed at how much she knows. She always gets asked if she can read music and she gives the adults a look like, “of course silly!”. Her relationship with her instructor is very comfortable and it’s something she looks forward to each week.
I have had the opportunity to sit in the waiting room and listen to other students while they take lessons in many different musical areas. Everything from string instruments, to keys, to vocals, and, as I mentioned for my granddaughter, drums/percussion.
Great place! I highly recommend it!
Rich Rychel is one amazing teacher. Last September I started lessons with him as a beginner on the drums, you can see the first time behind the kit on his website photos and I have taken every chance I get to be behind the drums. While the passion has been the re Rich helped bring it out, helping it take form for a life of enjoyment from this instrument!
Can’t give this place enough stars, everyone I’ve ever talked to in the lobby says DMI is the place to be!

I like that Calee sets goals for each lesson so I know what I need to do to make progress each week. I also like that she is available between lessons if questions come up or I want to run something by her that I’ve been thinking about or practicing.
Calee is first and foremost a very creative artist. Yes, she has taught/coached a number of my students to sing quickly and amazingly well, but she has also been an invaluable contributor to our school’s film projects. As a singer, player, writer, arranger, and teacher, Calee has been instrumental in our films being awarded and our students showing growth as artists and people. We cannot thank you enough! Thanks, Calee!
We’ve had a great experience working with Calee at Creative Roots. My daughter has made great progress and really enjoys the fun lessons and good instruction. Highly recommended!

Great jam group! Lots of nice folks and good space!
Got to sit in on a jam session, and was super appreciative at how inclusive it was to all folks & levels. Helps you realize your potential even at an early start!
Our kids had an absolute blast at KidzRock Denver! Director Robby has a contagious love of music, and the kids learned so much in just one week! We’ll definitely be returning next summer!

Awesome store, they have everything for HI FI. What I like about this store beside the great service is the fact that they only sell great sounding stuff.. no washers and dryers, no Dishwashers, no flat screens, just great audio. Skip the big box throwaway consumer good nightmare places and come here for a great experience !
You gotta have some patience in there. I believe the owner is a no bs guy but knows his stuff. He is a tad quirky. Ask for Eric as he is a solid guy and knows his stuff. He couldn’t of been nicer and helped me find a heirloom setup. Yes, sometimes it takes longer than you want but it was worth it in the end.
A few weeks ago a friend and I drove up. It was well worth the trip. The knowledge and experience is at a very high level. I bought a vintage miracord turntable….it will make a great Christmas gift. Gold sound knows their stuff for sure.
A set of eccentric owners provide for an odd experience when heading out for audio equipment. They have a number of the small well selling name brands and many of the boutique variety of hard to find brands. That being said, this may be one of the few places you can find some of those brands to hear. Look on their website for details on what they have at the time.
The owner seems to be my only issue with the place, if you are not the cutting edge of all the technology in the world while having been in the industry for 30+ years… let’s just say the more outspoken person of the two I have seen working there will make sure you know nothing about speakers as a whole, in an unpleasant way.
Great variety of vintage hard to find audio gear
This place is wacky! I stopped in for bulk speaker wire in heavier gauge than what most places carry, and I found a little corner of the city that time forgot. The proprietor has lovingly amassed a lifetime of vintage sound equipment from turntables to amplifiers to tape decks to reel-to-reel players. He sells styluses for your antique phonograph, and even carries parts for the old fashioned stereo cabinets everyone used to have (you know, with the glass doors held shut by magnets). I have no use for any of this stuff, but it was really a trip. If you’re into this sort of thing, you’ll be amazed at the extensive inventory and the proprietor’s knowledge as well!
I don’t even know why I tried to do business with these guys again. Rushed, rude and unhelpful on the phone, didn’t even let me finish explaining what I was looking for. I’m surprised they’re still in business.
Rude
I have tried to purchase something at Gold Sound 3 times in the past couple of years, to no avail. I’ve gone in with specific goals and a general idea of what I was willing to pay and rather than assisting me towards those goals they have argued with me and ultimately convince me not to buy anything at all from them. It has made me wonder how they are still in business. I’ve ended up spending more money somewhere else partly because the experience was so much more pleasant. I regularly try to buy locally when ever possible, which is nearly impossible with audio equipment anymore, but will NEVER set foot in Gold Sound again. Even if they are the last Brick and Mortar audio retailer left in Denver Metro.

Totally cool guitar store!! Has all that wonderful feel of a neighborhood guitar shop owned by your best friends. Totally accessible inventory, they let you try out anything you can see. I was able talk gear with the guys and I learned a lot! A big selection a guitars and gear but if you dig pedals you will be in heaven! This place is a must for and Denver guitarist. I absolutely loved it!!
Great knowledgeable, friendly staff! Great selection of guitars and accessories!
Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and fun staff and great merchandise!
Cool store, not the friendliest staff. Nice pedal selection.
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Pretty good store with decent prices
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
19. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 601 Englewood Pkwy, Englewood, CO 80110 , Englewood , Colorado , United States
Clean, well stocked and organized, friendly staff, knowledgeable as well.
It has more in it than the other Walmart stores that I have been in. It even has a cheese slicer. The employees are helpful and caring. Best Walmart ever.
Favorite place on earth
It’s not too shabby as walmarts go
Ok
Had trouble finding the scrapbook stuff not with craft. Or office stuff but up by the cards.
Hardly anyone was wearing a mask, staff kept ignoring customers and the people who weren’t clocked in were just on the floor chatting which caused confusion to both the staff needing help and customers. Very unprofessional
Tienen un personal super grosero se sienten los. Dueños de la tienda jente. Estupida
Nothing is ever stocked
20. Guitar Center
Address: 9647 E County Line Rd, Englewood, CO 80112 , Englewood , Colorado , United States
I come here everytime I need anything music related. They have everything one would need for drums, piano, DJ, bass, and guitar! They even have great sound equipment and lights. The staff there is always super helpful and really friendly. There staff knows what they’re talking about and will get you the best deal they can. Dont be afraid to start your musical adventure here!
had a return ..Mr Conner was very helpful..thanks guitar center
Got a pretty sick whammy bar for all my whammy needs.
I’ve been playing instruments for a while and guitar center has always been my go to for musical needs. Lately though as I have been looking at ways of getting into other instruments and forms of music I find myself buying more products that seem to have issues. I’ve had great success with many instruments but I’ve had to take in a few within the same day I buy them because they are defective. Memphis was pretty helpful when I bought my Jackson bass and it broke the same day. Shoutout to you homie
Great store!!
Main reason for giving Guitar Center 4 stars is because of Tony. It was my first time buying a guitar and Tony took the time to explain the little details and answer my questions–which tend to be many. Even when at the end of the sale I thought of changing my mind and going for a different guitar, Tony was all about making sure I was happy with my final purchase. Only reason this review doesn’t get a 5 stars is because of the disorganization of the store. All the best to you, Tony!
Purchased a couple of drum heads from GC about 3 months ago. One of them broke last week with me just playing normally. I took it back to GC expecting that they’d would recognize that it had to be faulty. I was VERY disappointed when they told me that they would not exchange it for me. I have been going to GC for all of my instrument needs for many years and spent tons of money there. No more. I will find a new place to get my equipment. Very poor customer service here.
They need better management of the inventory at this store. If it’s in stock online at the store, it’s not at THIS store. Lost, transit, missing, ect. Happens quite often
Edit: sent me elsewhere and they also didn’t have it. Poor customer service. Sweetwater it is.
