I was not pleased with their return policy. Just make sure that whatever you get there, you never plan to return it. They left a very bad feeling.
Their name says it all. I bought a new trombone from there for my son who was starting in the band. He was very proud of it and took very care of it, but within weeks, a joint came apart and we had to get it soldered back together. Not long after that, it broke again and we had to pay to get it fixed. Also the slide never seemed to work well and always makes noise and doesn’t glide well no matter how much we clean or grease it. We’ve also had that looked at a couple of times, but it keeps getting worse.
After all the trouble we had with it, I asked someone in the store about it and he told me it was just a cheap trombone. Funny they never mentioned that or how much trouble we would have with it when we bought it.
I thought we would save money over time by buying our own instrument instead of renting, but after this experience I wish we had rented. Consider how many problems and additional costs you might have if you’re in the same situation. Or maybe try a different store with better quality instruments.
I highly recommend Gift of Music for all your instrument repair needs. They were incredibly responsive, professional and friendly throughout the entire process. They expertly repaired my daughter’s wooden Yamaha clarinet and had it back to her in no time. On top of their excellent service, their prices are also very reasonable. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results.
I live in North Carolina, I have purchased 3 high end guitars from them, thee guy’s at Ken Stanton are awesome! They are knowledgeable, and very helpful, and they get my purchases to me in a very timely manner. I will continue to buy from Ken Stanton music!

Overall staff has been friendly and accommodating but I felt mislead about the rental process. I rented my daughter a 3/4 violin three years ago. I had to upgrade it to a 4/4 in her third year.
The associate didn’t tell me that the contract started fresh and I was on the hook for another three years worth of payments. I just kept being charged. I was finally able to return it due to covid. I mentioned the situation to the sales associate and all I got was I’m so sorry to hear that. It shouldn’t have happened that way. No offer to refund some monthly payments, etc. technically the violin should have been mine after paying for it for three years. Live and learn. So just be careful and make sure you read all of the fine print. Make them explain each step and that you understand it. Don’t have the wool pulled over yours eyes.

1 star if ur a brass player. Used to have an entire section dedicated to brass repairs, good selection of brass related items, cases, some instruments, etc. Haven’t been there in a long time since my most recent visit. I guess their focus on revenue generation has shifted – fair enough.

I had an acoustic set up there for around $50 and it plays like a dream. Great associates, very helpful.
Any time you’re surrounded by musical instruments is a good thing.
Walked in the door prepared to buy an electronic drum set. I spent 15 minutes in the back drum room that was filled with kids banging away. No salespeople ever came by. The electronic kits that were displayed were in various states of setup and readiness for testing. Frustrated I finally left, passing 3-4 employees who were hanging out by the front door chatting. The store wasn’t busy and my presence in the store was never acknowledged. This location needs a serious lesson in professionalism.

I have rented instruments for my daughter from Music & Arts. The individuals who work here have always gone above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Though i live intown, i happily travel to this location because i know i will receive the best service and product.

Friendly staff. We arrived late in the day to purchase our son’s first Euphonium supplies. They were able to help us quickly purchase all we needed.
Showed up to buy my first guitar. Worker behind counter never greated us so we shopped around for about 5 minutes. Another customer comes in and he not only greets him but they engage in a 15 min discussion. I eventually show my frustration during this time after a few minutes by going over to counter while they are talking in hopes the worker would give me a chance to at least ask if he can help us with a purchase after they finish but never once. We left and went to Guitar City which was amazing and helped me find what I needed. I’m still left very disappointed because me and my family specifically chose this location because we prefer to support small local businesses but alas we never got that opportunity.
I failed to mention that a second worker came in and also went straight to the back and never appeared to help us either. Now I’m looking for lessons and I found this location again since it was the closest but I was reminded to not consider such a location due to my experience.
I’ll also mention that the second customer who came in behind us was there to complain that the person who was to give him lessons never showed up.
Please proceed with caution if considering this store. I’d suggest Guitar City bc they were absolutely AMAZING! Not all small businesses will give you the best service.
These people will over charge you 200 %. I’ve “rented” a flute that was 900 dollars and they say we are not paying interest but claim I still owe 900 dollars and we’ve been renting this thing for going on the 4th year. Apparently not turns into 3000 if you want to own it. Stay away from the people. They will screw you over and tap into your bank account without authorization.
Really unprofessional Store Management. After being a student there for more than a year, one week they informed us that the current teacher is leaving and they had no idea what the plans for going forward were despite us saying that we were keen to continue. The following week we were told by the store manager that there is a new teacher but we no longer have the same time slot that we had for the last 1 year with the new teacher as someone else had registered for that slot. The store manager was so arrogant, there was no apology or an explanation why our daughter was not transferred to the new teacher with the same time slot in spite of us indicating that we wanted to continue. Shocked to see the level of arrogance and how such an unprofessional person even became a store manager. We are finding another music school.

Attended the grand opening/ customer appreciation event. It was very well done. Scored some REALLY nice swag from Martin, Fender and Gibson.
There were a couple of food trucks compliments of the store. The Marietta High School Band performed.

Been renting my daughter flute from here and had to get it service. Received excellent service from Cailey from beginning to end. We were able to leave with a loaner and return with a week for our instrument. Very pleased with service, knowledgeable staff, and cost.
In short, I placed an order on the 19th, everything showed available for 4 items, placed it as ship to store, conf. order email said someone from the store will call me when my items arrived. The 31st rolled around, no call yet so I called customer support at the 888 #. Apparently, my flute and kit (2 items) were delivered on the 24th but NO ONE from the store called me. The guy I spoke to pretty much didn’t find my flute so they lost my flute. He didn’t even offer anything that they had on hand or to call another store TO GET ME A FLUTE. Said he’ll call back and here I am, 2 days later no call from the store and no flute. My kid is now the ONLY kid in band class with no instrument. I will submit a complaint to BBB. The lack of consideration or attempting to either refund my $ or to get me another flute asap from another M&A store is why I’m submitting a complaint.
Music & Arts’ customer service is non-existent, I am not sure why they deserve a one star, but that’s as low as one can go. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY WHERE YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH ITS CUSTOMER SERVICE … that’s my advice to everyone.
This rating is in no way regarding the store itself, but pertains more to the on-line side of the business overall. I placed an order for a cleaning kit through Music and Arts on-line store for my son days ago and have yet to receive the product. When I called customer service for an update this week I was told the kit was on back order and no update was available as to when it would be completed. I called again the next day for an update and again. I was told they didn’t know when the order would be completed and that they sent an email to the Associate handling the issue which should take a day or two for a response. It’s now day 3 and I have yet to hear from anyone. What concerns me the most is that I never received communication the order was on back order day one and that it’s now day 3 and I have yet to receive a call from a Supervisor or the business with an update. I placed the order online initially thinking it would arrive to my son whose away in college sooner than it would take me to purchase it in store and pay for shipping. Now, I’m having to drive to their store which is more than an hour away, purchase the kit and pay for shipping. It’s going to cost me more in gas, time, purchasing the product and pay to ship it myself. I would advise ANYONE to buy from this business online. The customer service is very poor!

Edit: I was called the day of this review and my issues resolved within the week. I have never received such a quick response to a complaint and it counts for a lot in my mind. I can tell that their reputation and customer satisfaction is important. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding my previous experiences and change my review. I’m not sure why the ball was dropped previously but they made sure to fix the problem and apologize. Everyone makes mistakes but their willingness to take responsibility and handle the situation was refreshing.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! I signed up for a lease to own plan for a bass at this store. The plan is supposed to include repairs and a size upgrade because my son is 13 and still growing. About 8 months into the plan the bridge was broken on the bass (a simple fix) and I was told to expect 3 weeks for repairs. 3 weeks turned into several months. I had to start going in person everyday and basically harassing the staff to give him his bass. They never gave him his bass back. They gave him a very beat up bass and told me not to worry about the appearance as he would not keep this bass and would have one in better condition once the contract was up as the size would be upgraded. However, once I took the bass home to my son he informed me that this bass was smaller than the original one he was given and so he couldn’t practice at all. I informed the store of this in August, it is now January. The store is completely unresponsive and unless I start harassing them again, they’ll leave me with a product I can’t use but still charge me monthly for it.

Way over priced !!!!! My son in high school needed a mouth piece for his instrument. Jennings wanted to charge almost $70. You can get them for $20 in Kennesaw and YES they are acceptable and standard in the class room. Wow! I am so tired of this area trying to over charge.
These people were extremely rude and impatient this evening. I was trying to reach a salesman that left another store. I need a cello but I will not buy from these people. Instead of trying to sell me something they simply hung up in my face. I called right back thinking it was a mistake and they were not kind. They lack good communication skills and have no customer service skills at all. I was expecting them to say, “… the person you are looking for does not work here but we would love to assist you with a purchase”.

Didn’t really like the young man that was helping us ( my Granddaughter and my Daughter ) I came there all the way from chicago Illinois to buy a guitar for my grandchild as a Graduation gift .
I went in to purchase an Epiphone Les Paul. The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. Selection was pretty good considering the effect covid has had on availability.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I bought a brand new guitar and I wasn’t given a box to take it home in. Luckily I had a blanket in my car that minimized the risk of scratches to the guitar.
Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend Sam Ash to others.
I’ve been shopping here since it opened, and its always been a great store with awesome displays, lots of staff working, customers in and out constantly…something’s changed in 2020. The place is a total mess, I waited 25 minutes to check out and I was just quickly stopping in for guitar strings. Kid working at the front told me he “can’t check people out” and continued to just sit there when he could be doing like 20 other things to get the place in better shape. Everyone else that could check me out were getting blasted with calls and clearly couldn’t get away from the phones for 2 minutes to do the other aspects of their jobs. I’m only posting this in hopes that their corporate or manager see and they turn it around, because I like shopping at Sam Ash and hate Guitar Center.
We stopped by to see what they had. My husband is a dj and there isn’t one near us. No one asked us if we needed assistance or even acknowledged our presence.
Had to get my own strings from behind the counter when I was tired of waiting on the stoners working there. I wound up with the wrong strings because the guy was to busy talking it up to some teenage kids.
Had some friends wanting guitars/bass’s. Horrible getting orders because ever sense this shop has opened, their selection has dropped in both departments and I’m gearing this toward metal players. Their string selection is suffering and the shelves are missing majority.
Save your self money and go to guitar center who has surprisingly got better ever sense Sam Ash has came around. If you need bass gear, go to Atlanta bass gallery.
If you have to stop in here, come in knowing what you want. So you can spend as little time in this store buying it or getting out before your given the wrong information.
Most of the knowledgeable people have left and stopped working at this store.

Our daughter Lily’s progress in drumming since joining TR Music and Voice Lessons has been remarkable! Mr. Johnson’s enthusiasm, coupled with his vast knowledge, makes learning enjoyable.
We started off our first lesson learning the fundamentals, which was very helpful for correcting bad habits that I had developed. We progressed quickly from there, and I’ve seen very noticeable improvement in my technique and ability. One thing that stands out is that George custom tailors the lessons to each individual student. For example, I grew up playing classical piano, with exposure to music theory; George is able to play on this area of expertise. After each session, he sends out a detailed summary of the lesson, along with exercises and things to practice for our next session. He’s very encouraging and supportive – I feel comfortable talking to him about any aspect of my learnings, and emailing him outside of our lessons when a question comes up.
I started taking bass lessons with Rob from Taylor Robinson Lessons, and he has helped me improve my technique and develop a better understanding of music theory. Rob is a patient and supportive instructor who always makes the lessons fun and engaging.

Guy has chops, saw his band at Veranda in Midtown ATL and he really had the crowd going, pulled in passerby’s to the bar, and got the place packed out. The bartenders looked very happy
Holden is amazing! I saw him play at WIN – Taste of Bali (in Buckhead) and he had such a unique and beautiful sound. He was playing his guitar and singing! Seems very professional but also super nice and approachable! I looked him up on Spotify because he said he made his own music and it did not disappoint! I HAVE HIM ON REPEAT NOW! Would love to catch another show, this guy def deserves all the praise and will go far. Talented, humble, and a chill sound.
Saw Holden play live at Cartecay River Brewery, one of the best live performances I’ve seen in the past few years and was happy to engage with the crowd after his set.
