Friendly staff and good price for instrument rentals.
I have taken my guitar and bass here to be setup a few times. I was very happy with the time it took and the results. It averaged about a week for the turnaround and the playability was great. I can’t speak for the lessons or major repair work, but for simple things this guitar/music shop is perfect.
A little hard to find, but owner was very helpful in my search for a solid-woods Classical guitar. Looked at a very nice A/Yari. Has some nice guitars, but he is limited by space constraints. If the f-ups in Washington and the greedy sob’s on Wall St would all drop dead, this store would have a good chance of growing.
Had an excellent selection of strings. Plan on visiting again soon.
I got My sons cello at this store and the bridge was broken and the stand

As a more “seasoned” student, I really did not know what to expect in taking lessons again after many years. Paul has been such a patient, fun and knowledgeable teacher that I always look forward to my classes. I love all kinds of music and Paul is always up for the challenge to adapt and help me learn and have fun at the same time.
Great experience with the staff, friendly and helpful with renting equipment and taking lessons.
I haven’t had much experience with their sales, but their music lessons are top notch. We use Paul Fredericks who teaches my son electric guitar and my daughter keyboard. I’m amazed at how fast they are learning and by how much they want to go to their lessons. Because of the way Paul interacts with my kids, music lessons have never seemed like a chore to them. He also goes out of his way to make rescheduling missed appointments easy for me, which is very helpful as our schedule gets chaotic at times. Music & Arts lesson system is also easy to use and notifies me of upcoming appointments and changes. A+
Sales staff were not super knowledgable. We rented our son’s violin for school through them and billing was always an issue even though it was on monthly automatic payment. Glad the saga is over.
The prices are ok. The parking can be tough. The person working the desk was dismissive of my questions. Not a lot of inventory on display. They seem more about instruction.
Thank you for your service n attention. Thank guys for helping me to pick the perfect gift for my wife.
WARNING! WARNING TO PARENTS!! DO NOT USE THIS SHOP FOR RENTALS! Should be ZERO stars.
We rented from here for 5 years, the first 4 went off without a hitch. This year has been an absolute nightmare. We rented two instruments, same address, same name, same payment. ONE account had no issues, the other the local store put in the wrong address (where we have never lived). Over the last 4 months I have called their headquarters, left messages, emails, etc. trying to get a paper bill MAILED so that I could pay whatever was owed. They were incapable of sending this, and every time I called in could not even find the right account or would tell me everything was fine and they did not know why I was being contacted. When asked why they could not have looked at our other rental account for the correct information they were stunned into silence. Absolute incompetency from the sales staff all the way up to the billing department supervisor who assigned our missing “account” to a collections agency and then gave us the WRONG agency. Save yourself the trouble and stay far, far away from here.
Don’t rent any instrument from this place. People are very rude. Calling customer service takes forever to get someone on the phone. Unfriendly customer service, supervisors don’t want to talk to customers. Find another place to rent instruments for your children.
Very bad and rude customer service, hang up my phone.
Jonathan’s patience, expertise and dedication to our piano buying journey was exceptional. He’s spent a lot of time with us sharing his knowledge and offering advice which as first time piano buyers we very much appreciated. We’ve ended up purchasing a baby grand that we like. Thank you Jonathan.
I’ve worked with Jonathan Brittin for many years. I’m a voice teacher and he tunes and repairs all of my pianos and he is the best in the business.
Recently I wanted to donate a piano to a local church and Jonathan found, refurbished and tuned that piano so it was like I was giving the church a brand new voice, all at an extremely reasonable price.
Jonathan is a pleasure to deal with. He is honest and gives his all to make you happy. I heartily recommend that anyone looking to buy a piano buy it at Prelude Music Center.

Bought a good quality used piano from Prelude for a fair price, delivery included. Prelude was very professional throughout the process. On my recommendation, my daughter also bought a piano from Prelude and is similarly pleased. Prelude now tunes both pianos every six months. Prelude gets my highest recommendation.
7. Amadeus Piano Co., LLC
Address: 6 Acorn Ln, Westport, CT 06880 , Fairfield County , Connecticut , United States
I have been using Amadeus Piano co. for the past five years. I bought a piano, replaced a piano, had multiple tunings, and multiple deliveries.
Everything was accomplished by Yuri Feygin, Amadeus’ owner.
Yuri’s years of experience insure a safe & professional delivery of any piano.
His honesty, passion and competence are rare.
What a treat it is to hear him tune our piano. Because of his ability to play intricate classical and modern pieces he is able to insure that every key is in tune.
I highly recommend Amadeus Piano for all your piano needs.
From a very happy customer

Fantasic music venue. Great bands, great people, best times,
It’s rare to find people whose good taste and wise counsel match their expertise, so I regard myself as incredibly lucky to have found Yury.
He and his merry helpers came to move my grand piano for a rug installation. They could not have been more accommodating and were a pleasure to have in my home. Not only did I feel confident that my piano was in good hands, but his patient listening and thoughtful suggestions helped me to chose a location I had previously dismissed, which I now absolutely love.
I wish I had known of him when I first got the piano. But I’m sure glad I know him now. He gets 10 stars from me.
Love me a piano

It is never too late to learn to play guitar, I am proof of that! With the knowledge of just a few chords, you can play most any song. Give the gift of music to your children or your retired parents….. or yourself! Thank you Packham Music !
This is the worst music store i have ever been to. My daughter, R, decided to start viola for her school orchestra and he gave us a stand that was open and broken. Afterwards, he gave us a viola that couldn’t be tuned and the bow broke before she even touched it, when we brought up the problem to him he was ignorant and said that he wouldn’t buy good quality instruments for the kids because he knew that they would give up fast, then continued to say that R was a perfect example of it because we had to give back the instrument, say that she quit. We were made to pay a fee for the bow. We went to Music and Arts instead. Never returning here.
I was verbally related by owner Greg Packham for my religious and political views. Packham music is one of the reasons why peoe have stopped supporting mom and pop businesses because as the customer we are not respected.

Good prices and very friendly and professional people working there. I’ll always check them when interested in buying something
Great service and super helpful! Everything you need for your musical needs.
I bought a new guitar at the store. I dealt with Chris who is very helpful and knowledgable. The customer service and overall experience were great.
Disappointing experience with stringed instrument rental. Picked up an instrument, brought it home for child (experienced player) to try and a string immediately broke, likely wound too tight or already compromised at the store. Brought it back the very next morning and was told I needed to buy a new string and have someone else attach/retune. Poor way to treat a customer.
Had a horrible experience renting with this store, they refused to help and to give me a refund even though it was their fault, and they did not processed the return properly. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Great expertise and enthusiasm. Had everything we needed. Highly recommended.
Randy Kemp is a true professional in the music industry, and his expertise spans the gamut: theory, composition, live performance, production, engineering, and lessons.
I’ve known Mr. Kemp since 2000 and he never ceases to impress me. I can’t recommend Main Street Music enough.

Steve Salerno was terrific. Took thorough time with us and was very thoughtful about listening to what was of interest to us. He didn’t push us into a decision. We are also very thrilled with our first piano tuning. The report back to us was extremely helpful. If you are interested in purchasing a new or used piano, Faust Harrison is the best place you can possibly visit.
After a piano tuner confirmed my old Wurlitzer spinet was beyond repair, I started searching for a used piano. I considered a keyboard, and believe me, Erica can show you some outstanding digital pianos; but I was certain I wanted an instrument that would enable me to study again and become proficient. I consulted a company in North Branford, CT and did not get a good feeling. The reviews were not good, and not surprisingly, the company is now out of business. Someone told me to look at Craig’s list, but I wanted someone to consult, someone who knew pianos, someone who understood I was a novice pianist with a limited budget. I found that person in Erica Feidner. After one phone conversation, she indeed was the “matchmaker.” My husband and I were warmly greeted, introduced to the staff and after more conversation and her undivided attention, she introduced me to the Yamaha P22 that will be delivered this week. Her assistant Amadae was also delightful to work with and helped to arrange the delivery and removal of my old piano. I feel very fortunate to have met Erica and Amadae. You will not be disappointed by anyone at Faust Harrison.
Peter was super helpful in picking out a digital piano. Great shop and great customer service.
Helpful and friendly service that was informative
19. New Canaan Music
Address: 90 Main St, New Canaan, CT 06840 , Fairfield County , Connecticut , United States
Great local shop with high quality instruments, amplifiers and knowledgeable & friendly staff – highly recommended
I was pleasantly surprised when I heard about a “mom & pop” type music shop opening in Newport! Stopping by one day I had the pleasure of meeting the Owner, Phil who was dropping off some new guitars from his New Canaan store. After talking with him a bit I decided to check out his original store in CT and although it was quite the drive I would urge anyone to see for themselves, the drive was well worth it! Fantastic and eclectic array of instruments, amps, pedals, you name it. Such a fun experience and I ended up running into Phil there as well, he was very generous with his time, showing me some neat unique guitars he had recently obtained. The staff member I mainly dealt with, Al
(I believe) was impressively knowledgeable about not just the instruments and equipment but also on the workings of anything I was curious about. I ended up purchasing a pedal, cable and then realizing they were a G & L dealer figured there was nowhere better to purchase the guitar I had been wanting to buy. Not only did they match the price of the big box stores, the whole overall experience was just fantastic to say the least! Highly recommend giving your business to either of Phil’s locations ( New Canaan & Newport ) Great work guys, much appreciated! Couldnt be happier and I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you kindly!
Friendly service… No hard sell, had a good time
Very attentive knowledgeable staff, comfortable setting.

Address: 6 Prospect St, Ridgefield, CT 06877 , Fairfield County , Connecticut , United States
I bought a Maton guitar from Blue Bus. Excellent service, excellent product. I am highly satisfied and will go back to them for my future purchases.
my husband has been getting guitar lessons here for years, since they were in katonah. the owners and instructors are wonderful and the prices are very reasonable, particularly if you buy a package.
A great local music store with a variety of Maton guitars, occasional performance showcases, and fab music teachers available for lessons.
Nice looking small shop with an interesting selection of off brand guitars. I always like when the smaller shops aren’t afraid to stock higher end gear. The selection of acoustic guitars especially. The pedal section could use some fleshing out.
Needed one string for my son violin rental. The lady was trying to sell me on a pack of strings that I do not need.
Bought a Maton guitar ….. company doesn’t have a clue on how to set a guitar up….. I have purchased no less then 50 guitars been playing for 50 years…. this company shouldn’t be allowed to sell guitars much less Maton .
