Excellent place to rent your instrument, Andrew is very friendly and knowledgeable, highly recommended!
Rental Instruments is the best place to rent whether you are a begining band student or need a high-quality cello or violin. They have absolutely everything including accessories cases music books it’s a one stop shop for everything your music student needs. I’ve enjoyed working here for the past three years and I have learned so much From the Luthiers and from Owner Ken Kuo who always on hand for repairs, questions and fittings as well as sales. Our repair workshop is always busy not only repairing but creating fine instruments for students all over the world. I’m happy to be part of a team that has helped thousands of Teachers students achieve their musical goals.
Good place to rent instruments. Very good customer service and upfront about pricing. Jen and Andrew were very professional and we had a very good experience. They delivered the instrument to the hotel and picked it up from Carnegie Hall. That was a major factor in our decision to go with them. My son did say that the quality of the instrument was not the best, but the was able to use it for this concert.
In my opinion, the owner of Rental Instrument, LLC, Kenneth Kou, lacks integrity and is extremely selfish. To this day, I an very disappointed with the instrument he sold me. I feel spending thousands of dollars to buy the instrument of your dreams, should be a joyous occasion. He made it a complete nightmare for me. In my opinion, I would look for a different provider.
4. Vinyl Street Cafe
Address: 1895c Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 , Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Josh is like the truest of fans of all kinds of great music, and he brews a mean cup of the most perfectly roasted coffee ever! Wish I could stay in that shop listening to music and sipping on the delicious coffee forever!!
Lots of selection nice vibe
Found 2 new LP’s that I’ve never seen in any other record stores-very impressed! A small space, but there’s lots to check out!
Less coffee selection than I hoped for, but a solid brew by a solid dude selling great vynals for solid prices
Cool place. Picked up a few good stuff.
Drove 30 minutes on a Friday because their posted hours were 11:00AM to 8:00PM. Arrived at 7:15PM. Closed with no note to explain. What’s the point of having business hours?
5. Turnpike Music Garage
Address: 1485 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06825 , Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
My son has been taking guitar lessons with Don. He has been introduced to many artists and looks forward to his lessons. We chose the Music Garage because we wanted our son to learn the basics and build a foundation for playing guitar.
Extremely nice guy and definitely knowledgeable. Went in for a guitar set up, and he got it to me in a quick time and even spared me a few dollars when I went to pick it up. Definitely recommend!
Hi Donny
A little hard to find, but owner was very helpful in my search for a solid-woods Classical guitar. Looked at a very nice A/Yari. Has some nice guitars, but he is limited by space constraints. If the f-ups in Washington and the greedy sob’s on Wall St would all drop dead, this store would have a good chance of growing.
Had an excellent selection of strings. Plan on visiting again soon.
I got My sons cello at this store and the bridge was broken and the stand
6. Westfair TV Audio
Address: 1961 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 , Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Always a positive experience….I will only purchase my televisions from Westfair.
These guys are great. They have set up complicated whole-house AV systems in two homes we have owned, and have provided excellent service. When something goes wrong or needs adjusting, they are extremely responsive. We’re fortunate to have Westfair TV Audio in our community.
Wonderful service! So helpful !
Terrible customer service. Continued issues with their set-up, but they point to an expired warranty as a reason to charge $250 for a house call when, in reality, the set-up had numerous issues and house calls. Also, incredibly rude over the phone; aggressive and bullying.
No nothing about vintage stereo equipment they should probably have one salesman that knows a little bit about this
7. The Warehouse at FTC
Address: Warehouse, 70 Sanford St, Fairfield, CT 06824 , Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
I really enjoyed this venue when I attended the Collie Buddz Good Life tour. Open floor in front of the stage on main level, the upstairs (with another bar) has hightop tables. All the employees at The Warehouse were super friendly and accommodating!
Awesome venue! Friendly staff, clean and spacious.
Great shows, good sound system, and well laid out design with floor and balcony options.
Awesome venue!
Nice venue! 1st time there to see Deer Tick and was impressed with the cleanliness, the great sound, and great views of the bands. My only gripe is the $10 beers. I didn’t even drink because of that, and took off a star for that. Need cheaper options, or larger serving sizes.
The venue was nice. There was a coat check but drinks were very very expensive.
Over the years we’ve been to many great concerts at FTC’s StageOne which has great acoustics. This was our first experience at the Warehouse and it was pretty terrible.
The band was great, the sound system good but the Warehouse has a bar running the full length of one side of the room with a low ceiling over it that amplifies the chatter from those at the bar. This means that instead of being able to enjoy the great music, you’re listening to it through the noise of people talking. Probably not an issue if you going to hear a dance band, but if the band you are listening to specializes in harmonies or such, everyone but the people at the bar will be frustrated. The band we were listening to mentioned it a few times and it was a real distraction, pretty much ruined the concert. If you care about music, while the Warehouse gets great bands, it’s one of the worst places I’ve ever gone to hear music and I’d recommend you go hear your favorite band elsewhere.
Terrible…I sent this email about our experience….
This is to inform you that your posted covid protocol is NOT being followed. We purchased 3 tickets to the Geoff Tate show last night (1/30). 2 out of 3 of us were vaccinated. We called ahead of time and were told to bring the rapid test-we understood that to mean to bring the negative result. Your website states that “a rapid test within 24 hours” so the unvacinated person did the test on the way down and put it in a baggie and brought it to the door. We were then told that bc she was not seen doing the test that it could not be honored. We had another test in the car that she did again. 2 of us had masks on the entire time while we stood outside in 10 degree weather. A very obnoxious woman who was working said she didn’t see our friend swab her nose so thie 2nd test could not be used…nowhere on the website does it say to do a test while in line being watched. This woman was fully aware of the 2nd test and did NOT watch her take it. Afterall she was working and we were patrons.
Even with a neg result we were denied entry. While we are supposedly getting a refund: the issue is that we followed YOUR protocol, traveled an hour to get there, and the concert was a birthday gift. While I do appreciate the covid precautions, I do Not appreciate your staff and the way this was handled. You should only allow vaccinated people into the venue and skip the semantics. Our entire night was ruined.
Please call me directly to discuss. I am mortified as to the treatment we received. I am following up with an on line review and will let the musician know the situation. I’m sure we were not the only ones…terrible service. Your staff decided that we would not enter despite the results of the test.
8. Packham Music Services
Address: 127 Tunxis Hill Rd Ste 7, Fairfield, CT 06825 , Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
It is never too late to learn to play guitar, I am proof of that! With the knowledge of just a few chords, you can play most any song. Give the gift of music to your children or your retired parents….. or yourself! Thank you Packham Music !
This is the worst music store i have ever been to. My daughter, R, decided to start viola for her school orchestra and he gave us a stand that was open and broken. Afterwards, he gave us a viola that couldn’t be tuned and the bow broke before she even touched it, when we brought up the problem to him he was ignorant and said that he wouldn’t buy good quality instruments for the kids because he knew that they would give up fast, then continued to say that R was a perfect example of it because we had to give back the instrument, say that she quit. We were made to pay a fee for the bow. We went to Music and Arts instead. Never returning here.
I was verbally related by owner Greg Packham for my religious and political views. Packham music is one of the reasons why peoe have stopped supporting mom and pop businesses because as the customer we are not respected.
9. Edition Musicus
Address: 25 Walls Dr, Fairfield, CT 06824 , Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Peter was super helpful in picking out a digital piano. Great shop and great customer service.
If you are in the market for a piano and want to work with an extremely knowledgeable and customer service oriented professional, then you MUST go to Faust Harrison Piano in Fairfield. Erica Feidner, sales manager, is all that and more! I contacted Faust Harrison after reading fantastic reviews on-line. My decision to call Faust Harrison was the best thing I did in our search for a grand piano for our kids. We visited the showroom and met Erica in person. She gave us her undivided attention and worked closely with the kids. They played on different pianos in the showroom, and gave Erica their feedback. This coupled with her extensive background on all things piano, Erica was able to find the perfect grand piano for us. We are so happy to have met the “Matchmaker”, as Erica is known in the industry. There was never any pressure to buy. The kids LOVE the sound and feel of their grand piano, and practice on it daily for several hours a day! We are lucky to hear the beautiful music that fills our home each day. Amadae, Erica’s assistant, was also very professional and handled all of the logistics smoothly. We cannot thank you enough for making our piano buying such a wonderful experience! We highly recommend them!
Peter in the Fairfield store was great. I tried a few pianos and took my time playing on each. I decided on the brand new yamaha!
Helpful and friendly service that was informative
