They were quick and fast Zabi helped me much appreciated
These guys have been awsome they have been helpfull professional and friendly wish they were closer
My son came in for a monitor and Stephanie was such a great help & got us a super deal!
Well I took five brand new tools in for a pawn loan and they reveiwed on eBay for 185.00 at 35% for all five tools. The girl argued with me, said they were only offering 70.00 tops… They tried ripping me off! I’ve been in this store many times before and they’ve done OK by me, but not this time. I had a horrible experience with this pawn shop and shame on you for trying to get more money from a customer than expected! Shame on you! That girl should be fired!
This place loves buying stolen goods then selling them back to the rightful owners for a profit.
Don’t come here they will cheat you on your gold they give way below value at the time of gold prices go to their sister store on el Camino they give way more money for your gold don’t trust these people and they treat they customers like trash especially the Indian lady there
4. Kline Music
Address: 2200 Sutterville Rd, Sacramento, CA 95822 , Florin , California , United States
Came here to buy a guitar. The selection was pretty good and the service was great too. Really friendly people work here and I really do appreciate that. I would recommend this place strongly
I love Cline music. Then shopping there for years very nice and professional crew and the prices are comparable to any music store in the facility
Awesome store with awesome staff. They recommended the best strings for my acoustic guitar and Arnie was able to restring it for me right there (bring cash or a check if you’re going to have him work on your instrument). I was in and out in 20 mins and am thrilled with the way my guitar sounds with the fresh strings. Will definitely be back!
Great selection and a knowledgeable staff.
Good selection of everything, and good prices.
I’m a long time musician. I’ve been here many times over decades. I have to admit that I often feel as if I’m being watched when I go here. My guess is they get people stealing items a lot. I only come here when I know exactly what I need and I’m in and out.
Parking here is terrible! Spots are tight and if you have a full-size truck or SUV, I would park on the side street. I’ve had a son who took lessons here at one time, and I did as well many moons ago. Overall, that was a good experience. This is one of the only places with an extensive sheet music collection.
Expensive
Needed to rent a violin for my son and they didn’t have a 3/4 used violin so I ‘rented’ a 1/2 violin. I didn’t realize but my wife also got him a 1/2 size violin from a neighbor so I returned the Klein violin 6 days after I rented it. They refused to refund the first 2 months rent ($43) because they said it was in the fine print…’no refunds!’. Horrible customer service. Klein customers beware!!! They won’t refund anything.
I do not recommend this place for music instrument repairs. The woodwind and brass repair person may have 20 years of experience, they unfortunately have 0 years of experience in customer service. To them, answering a customer’s questions for 5 minutes, is “a waste of their precious time” that could be spent making money on other repairs. No matter how skilled one may be, this does not excuse rude manners.
5. Music Go Round
Address: 9163 E Stockton Blvd #310, Elk Grove, CA 95624 , Florin , California , United States
Super easy to deal with, answered my questions almost real time. I think I got a great deal on the Gretsch Lap Steel guitar. I was in “Like New” condition. Very happy with Music Go Round and will shop with them again.
I recently purchased an instrument from Music Go Round in ElkGrove, CA. I called them up and the next day the package was on its way to Ohio. Perfect transaction and perfect packaging! I would not hesitate to purchase from this store again. Thank you so much. Really appreciate you going the extra mile for me.
Just purchased a banjo but not until Patrick, the store technician, tore into it fixing what was almost an unplayable instrument to start with. He worked hard, almost taking it totally apart to get the neck where it needed to be. It was priced great and thanks to Patrick plays great too. I’m very happy and would not hesitate to buy from Music-Go-Round in Elk Grove again.
I’ve only been there once so far but the staff pleasant and helpful. They have a good selection of used instruments mostly guitars. I definitely plan on going back when I need something musical. Good prices too!
Cool place. Most things look to he in ok shape. A little high on prices for used gear but hey they have to make enough to stay open
Good used instruments if you know what you are looking for. If not, the staff is very helpful.
You know it was an awesome store when it first opened owners gotten greedy prices are too high now they’re marked up at least 30% more than what the normal prices used to be yep the owners got greedy I know he’s picking them squires up bulk dirt cheap and he’s selling them for about 50 away from full price and beware buyer beware all their used fenders are stamped they say used they stamped the head stocks with a metal stamp
Bought a Saga Masterclone banjo from here. Neck was loose. Would not tune right. Took off the neck and put it on right. It still had buzzing and intonation problems. Tried adjusting it out but no go. The banjo has a great tone and I wanted it to work. I was assured that the banjo was ready to play before I bought it. Took it to a shop to find the problem and was told the truss rod was stripped out. I already suspected that. Let them know and no answer. They knew this was defective but sold it anyway. My order number is #M142824. Beware. They won’t stand behind their products. If it’s good when you get it fine. If it ain’t, your screwed. I would give them no stars.
2 times aI buy online
2 times I had to call and after telling me the guitar is being put in the back for shipping and telling me how nice the guitar looks they canceled my order so ether the employee decide to keep my guitar for him self or decide to big fat sell them to some one after he lie about getting it ready for shipping for me !
Im supper mad at this liars hope they go out of business!
6. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 6051 Florin Rd, Sacramento, CA 95823 , Florin , California , United States
It was my first time hear and it was very plesant and the food was delicious. I will return
It was worth the drive. I got three creamers. It’s very hard to find great value cinnamon French toast powdered creamer. I look at a lot of wall marts.
Typical walmart but self checkout here is pretty fast
Didn’t have what I needed, but its understandable given the circumstances
Had everything that I needed. Just to many people for me .
Walmart is the devil.
Did not like the fact that the t shirts were locked up and I had to wait for someone to unlock them. Then the employee took the t shirts to a cashier whose line was long fortunately for me another cashier opened and the line shortened. I have bone on bone hip pain a lot of standing is painful. I had my folding seat cane in my shopping cart.
unwelcoming environment
7. Guitar Center
Address: 2120 Alta Arden Expy, Sacramento, CA 95825 , Florin , California , United States
A warehouse full of musical instruments and people with musical talents. What can I say? It’s a great place to hang out and their products are top notch. The staff are knowledgable and the atmosphere is inviting. Respect.
Reasonable selection of products, decent staff even though the store can get pretty busy and nice off-traffic location. Can’t complain.
Okk
Great store, but the phone number appears to be wrong. It goes to Orange Theory Fitness in Arden.
Not a fan anymore, but if you want to actually see and touch an instrument, there aren’t many other choices. It’s a shame. Today’s Memorial Day “sale” was no sale for me. I stop by to look and buy online like everyone else…used of course.
The Goodwill Store right next to GC was completely overcrowded while GC’s parking lot was 70% empty. A sign of the times perhaps?
Great place for the average consumer who enjoys the hobby of making music. If you are looking for pro gear I suggest you look elsewhere, because this place will not satisfy your needs. This location specifically, is particularly disappointing. However, they do have a good cable selection.
I have been burned by this Guitar Center so many times and I honestly have no one to blame but myself since I keep going back. I drove about 30 minutes here to pick up a keyboard that was listed as new and in stock online. When I got there, the package was ripped up so I brought it up to the front desk and asked if it was possibly used. They told me no, they don’t take returns so that would be impossible. I asked if I would be able to return it if it ended up being damaged as I understand that sometimes customers just rip the boxes and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, and they told me no. Almost immediately after, they scan the keyboard and realize it’s a RETURNED open-box that was missing all of the included software and manuals. They refused to sell it for any lower than 10% off, but they were selling it at the same price as new. That basically covers the tax, and there are quite a few websites where I could have ordered it new with everything included for the same exact price. The managers were slow, refused to work with me, and got caught in multiple lies trying to convince me that it was “new” at first and that I had to “be sure I wanted it” because they don’t accept returns. The return policy page on the website clearly states there is a 14 day return window for keyboards. Incredibly frustrated that I wasted so much time driving to a store to deal with incompetent scammers. I have never had any honest salesperson at this location, and I’ve spent quite a lot of money here. They will tell you whatever it takes to make that commission. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST. Sweetwater sells the same products with better returns, better warranty, and no tax. It’s just bad business all around to try to sell an incomplete, used package for what amounted to $3 less than what Sweetwater sells it for brand new out the door.
8. Studio C Muzic
Address: 8101 Elder Creek Rd g, Sacramento, CA 95824 , Florin , California , United States
Hands down one of the best studios for all your mixing, mastering, and recording needs! Brian “Sound Surgeon” Porter has years of experience in the music/entertainment industry with the accolades and work ethic to prove it. See for yourself!
Very nice studio to record The engineer is one of the best in the business.
9. Gold-N-Pawn
Address: 6618 Florin Rd A, Sacramento, CA 95828 , Florin , California , United States
Great store super friendly best pawn store in Sacramento
The owner ( Bill )is truly a classy gentleman, and one most honest businessman I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He brings a lot of integrity to the pawn business. Sincerely Rick R.
Nice fella, great shop they even have brass instruments you don’t see anymore. The are fair. GOLD-N-PAWN Is the place to go.
10. DNT Karaoke & Audio System
Address: 6880 65th St, Sacramento, CA 95828 , Florin , California , United States
If you’re looking for a local guitar shop to support, look no further. They have a wide selection of gear and from what I saw, pretty fair prices. The owners seem very laid back and happy to assist, unlike guitar center where the employees always seem to hate their lives. And the best part, no sloppy amateurs attempting to play Master of Puppets or Stairway To Heaven at an annoyingly high volume.
Keep up the good work gentlemen.
Dave has worked on a couple of my guitars, and I’ve always been satisfied with the work and service.
Dig.
Always been pleased with the work done on my my guitars but, doggone, the man lacks soft skills. Every time I decide to give him another chance I cringe for doing so.
Nice location, and comfy interior, but pretty useless service. Not only is it small, with extremely limited inventory, but the guitar tech (or at least the guy who I tried to get to look at my guitar) was an arrogant and incompetent jerk.
I took my guitar in, because it suddenly had a wiring issue. It still worked (sort of) but the sound was weak and phaser like, and there was a bunch of ground buzz. So, either a wire had come undone, gotten crossed, etc., or perhaps something with the active pups. But probably the former, because a sudden issue with both active pups seemed unlikely.
So this guy at Guitar Workshop, after arrogantly explaining to me about how important it is not to have a dead 9v battery and active pups, suddenly (after testing the battery, but not looking at anything else) proclaimed, with great authority, that I had a reversed ground. In other words, the guitar had been wired improperly. Not that something had failed, but that it had always been like this (since it was last worked on, anyway).
In an utterly futile attempt to reason with this clown, I tried to explain that this was a new issue, and that whatever it was (whatever wires had come undone, or whatever had failed) had happened while I was playing the guitar the previous day. This was not an old issue from whenever the last time work had been done on it. He arrogantly proclaimed, “wires don’t re-wire themselves”.
So without even opening the guitar, he had convinced himself (and was trying to convince me) that this was not a loose wire, but an improperly wired guitar.
Either way (reality, or his delusion) it was something that should take about 20 minutes to fix, right? Wrong. He completed his clown show by proudly telling me that it would take at least 3 weeks for him to get to my guitar. He said it as though it proved he was the most elite guitar tech on the west coast.
Well, I told him that I was absolutely certain I could come up with a better solution than to hand my guitar over to his dumb ass for a month. (Incidentally, he thought my Schecter was an Ibanez, just because I had it in an Ibanez hard case). He was just too important to be bothered with details, like what kind of guitar he was holding in his hands.
I took it to Arnie, over at Klines on Sutterville, and he had it back to me in 48 hours, for $20. The ground wire had come loose. $20. 48 hours. And, Arnie wasn’t even there when I dropped it off. Had he been, he might have fixed it while I waited.
So Dave is a guy who does not take responsibility for the people who give his guitar lessons in his shop. He claims they are not his responsibility and to challenge one of his instructors (Tyson) in his shop is to “put him in the middle.”
We signed up for lessons in late June. This was before the 4th of July. As it turned out, the first lesson was on the 4th. We did not check the calendar while signing up and neither did they. THERE WAS NO MUTUAL AGREEMENT TO MEET ON THE 4TH OF JULY! THERE WAS NO DISCUSSION REGARDING THE 4TH. No one said, “Hey, your son’s first lesson is on the 4th, can you make it? I mean it is a National Holiday.” Nor did I ask Tyson to work on the 4th anymore than I would expect him to work on Christmas or New Years–those are dates normal people spend with family and friends. No discussion what-so-ever. We went on holiday like 90% of the population. The 4th was to be our first lesson and if Tyson was going to be there on a national holiday it is incumbent upon him to let us know. He (Tyson) sent me an email after the 4th saying he was there–that is the only notice we received and one that should have been sent before the 4th, not after the 4th. Everyone I talk to feels the same way about this. A national holiday, really? Who would expect a guitar shop to be open on the 4th for lessons? The money is trivial, but the point is not. We are not looking to get over on anyone, but we did not agree with anyone to be there on the 4th of July. We should have been informed and that is a shortcoming on behalf of Dave, Tyson and his staff. Sign us up and give us the pertinent information by which we can make a decision, otherwise you are deliberately or carelessly misleading the public. I know a lot of people in town, I own my own business and I would never/ever expect my clients to pay for services they did not receive when I was negligent in my communication. Tyson was negligent and frankly Dave’s staff member who gladly took our money and signed us up was negligent too–kindly state the store policy to us as it applies to all calendar days including holidays. If we had known we would have acted accordingly, but we should not assume that your instructor is going to be working on Xmas, the 4th or any other national holiday. It begs credibility to think so. So when I asked Dave about this matter with Tyson his first response is to say it is not his responsibility. That he feels put upon because these people only give lessons at Dave’s place, but they really do not work for him. When money is exchanged at your pace of business you do bare responsibility. Period.
They offered lessons with another instructor, but after careful consideration I decided I did not want to do business with them. I did ask for money back on the lessons not used. Dave said there were no refunds on lessons. Not a wise move to make people pay for services they do not receive. This is a poor business practice, but reflective of the owner and his lack of business acumen. I run my own business we have five star reviews for a reason. We put our customers first. Dave and the people at Guitar Workshop practice a form of business that has little honor. Maybe I am old fashioned to say so, but I think you should conduct yourself honorably in business and that means not taking money you have not earned. So keep the $50.00 Dave, it is a very small price to pay to keep people like you out of my life and the life of my son. And this I would say to parents who are considering guitar lessons at Guitar Workshop: they lack honor and they will not put your children’s interest first.
Editing my post after my last experience there. He refuses to use lemon oil, so my guitar smells like a dead fish again. I had him paint the body cavities with conductive paint and it was just really bad work. There was zero prep work done, spots that just weren’t bothered to be painted and the paint is already flaking off after a few months. Not to mention he just straight up missed huge spots in the pickup cavity. Just seems like lazy work. There was a lot of damage to the exterior paint as well. After complaining to him, he buffed out a few spots but other spots, like where the masking tape left a noticeable indent in the paint he basically told me there was nothing he could do and blamed it on the manufacturer for not using better paint. He’s delusional. Instead of allowing him to further butcher my guitar, I took it back and won’t let him touch another one of my guitars.
I think Dave is good for setups and electronics but I don’t think I’m bringing my guitars back to him after this and I would consider what I’ve said and look elsewhere for a competent luthier.
……………………………..
I had a fret leveling done on my strat. The work was finished before the quoted time frame and it was decent work. Frets were a little flat but it played okay. I recommend this shop for guitar work. Only negative was the linseed oil used on the fretboard. It smells like dead fish. Now I know to specify he use lemon oil next time.
13. Dolow Slim

Very nice Shop…They have Brass Instruments, String Instruments, Acoustic Guitars and Accessories. Nice Owner!
Good people, Great environment.
I had excellent customer service today and the self service kiosk is convenient. Also they accept the McDonald’s app so thats a plus
My husband likes them for all his musical needs and he bought a really nice Sax there.
I won’t be back here. I was playing one of the guitars, and was told to stop playing because the owner was talking to a customer. I admit, it was a bit rude and did stop playing, but then it was like “if you’re not going to buy” type of things, and it was a 5 minute limit on trying the guitars. So I tried another, but same thing happened within a minute so I left. This is why I go to my local Skips and Guitar Center where I do feel welcomed and there’s no pressure in buying, play limit, have name brands, and have been around for decades.
Super bad service
Absolutely horrible experience. I walked in without a mask (mask law has been lifted), I didn’t have a mask. So the woman asked me if I needed help, and then she started telling me I needed a mask or I need to get out. I asked her if she has a mask and she rudely said no and told me to get out they’re definitely losing customers if they keep it up
