We were met by very polite young people who knew their jobs very well! They were very polite and professional!!
I arrived in Florida two days before Christmas with a pile of music to practice. I opened my violin case to find a broken tail piece- no place to attach the E string! I found Cadence through Google, called, and after holding for a few minutes, was told that they were overbooked with repairs. Heartbroken, I asked for help finding someone. After another short hold, they said I could come in and they would see if they could help me. An Uber ride and a short while later my violin was repaired.
They couldn’t have been more kind, or more professional- the people in front who helped me, the technician who replaced the tailpiece, the master who reset the sound post. The work was excellent, and I am beyond grateful that they found time for a visitor during their holiday crush!
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
2. Bonita Bills Waterfront Cafe
Address: 702 Fishermans Wharf, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Fabulous lunch spot on the water. It’s order at the counter, cash only. They do have an ATM if needed. They are super friendly. We had the specials, sloppy joes and French dips. It was so good and affordable. It’s very casual. Can’t recommend enough.
Great old-time atmosphere along with great music by Chucky from Kentucky. Easy access and very good food.
Great time good food and twisted tea.
Great afternoon hang out, live music, on the water under Matanzas bridge
Good breakfast place.
Cashier was very rude. All I said was “Can I have a fish sandwich?” … she rolled her eyes, sighed, and said “Well yeah it’s on the menu”.
Long story short – if you don’t fit their appearance type (sun damaged skin and a smokers cough, you can imagine the rest), don’t expect to be treated with any level of respect. Plenty of better places in SWFL for a fish sandwich.
Smoking is allowed. Someone was smoking right by the cashier where you place your order. I asked if there was a non-smoking part of the bar and was told no. So, I walked out.
they fired Jimmy Anderson bcause he called in and said he had a family Emergy ( his wifes mother died in michigan) when He helped keep money coming in after Ian I think that is unforgivable by by Bonita Bills ! Bill never would have done that!!!!! Art Rice
3. Shipwreck
Address: 237 Old San Carlos Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
When we vacation in Fort Myers Beach we like to try different locations. This time we thought we would give Shipwreck a try. They have a number of different room layouts from basic to condo-like. We opted for a larger 2 queen bed with kitchenette. The room was very clean, beds very comfortable, and located right across the street from pretty much anything you will need to eat, drink, listen to live music, shop, etc. It has an older nostalgic motel feel with 2 small pools. Behind the motel is a small bay/canal. Absolutely must check it out! We were fortunate enough to see a manatee and 2 dolphins! It was incredible! All in all, great little motel at a reasonable price for the location.
Good place
If you want a good location this is the place to go but the kitchen has 1970 appliances. It was very clean and gives you that island feel. Also it’s not very far from the beach.
Absolutely awful. They took the charm out for this place. Removed the pools and replaced their mattress that are hard as a rock. We were more than disappointed. They make you pay for more than one night and refuse to refund any ones money when you discover how bad the place is. Beware
Was there for an interview. Job interview was very informal and took place in the sales floor.
I stayed here for one night in their most expensive upstairs suite and paid nearly $400 for this stay. Upon arrival, we were pleased with the room and view. However, bedtime was a totally different experience. We were woken up at 3:30am then again at 4:30am by the noise of a bunch of drunk cussing 20-somethings outside our window. The thin windows and the placement of the lounge chairs by the room below us made it seem as if the noise was right inside our room! We tried calling someone at the hotel office but there was no one to reach. Apparently once the hotel store closes at 11pm there is no one from the hotel staff to help with anything. I found this out the next morning when we expressed our dissatisfaction to the hotel front desk attendant. She seemed dismissive of our complaint so we asked to speak with the owner. We were told that the owner was out of town and would call is. A week later and still no call. What a disappointment this experience was. Definitely not worthy of nearly $400!!
4. Beach Records
Address: 15560 McGregor Blvd #8, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Cool place. Great people working. Very relaxed environment and the prices are on point. If your looking for used (and some new) records – check them out!
I visited all the way from Oregon for the holidays. Browsing for Vinyls was made so much fun with a welcoming community like at Beach Records. The prices are great and the owner is the MAN. Will need to go back to buy a T-shirt.
I love this shop. The collection is pretty big. Lots of rock, old and new. I always find something I want to leave with. Some of my favorite finds have been old country records and some Latin and world music records that I was surprised to find in Fort Myers. It seems like you can ask Marty about any artist and he’ll be familiar with them.
Good customer service negotiable prices
The owner is one of the nicest people on the planet.
Very good selection of LP’s, even some obscure and sealed reel to reel tape in the back (Scotch 177’s). Very limited hours, open on Fridays and Saturdays in the afternoons. Used audio equipment for sale too. Found some 1950’s and 60’s 45’s including a 1958 Elvis song that I needed for 50 cents each in VG+ condition. Most of the 45’s are in scattered boxes around the shop. Some of the 45’s are nasty looking and should not be for sale. Very friendly service. 4/5
I just moved here from Palm Beach and wanted to visit some of the record shops on this coast. This was the first one I visited, and I was short of impressed. I love hole in the wall shops and this one definitely felt like i was transported back into the 70s. However once I started digging through the bins I did not find anything of interest and I was quite turned off by the smell of smoke. Most of the records looked like dollar bin material and were pretty torn up. They also placed price stickers directly on the jacket (I know that stores do this to avoid customers swapping protective sleeves, but still, it damages the covers when trying to remove the stickers). And finally, none of the staff were wearing masks. This is a small stuffy shop that was quite busy, and the staff seemed negligent of the current pandemic. This makes them seem like they do not care for their customers health nor their own. I may return and see if my experience is different, but I was not very impressed on my first visit.
5. Greater Fort Myers Beach Area Chamber of Commerce
Address: 100 Lovers Ln, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Calling here was an excellent experience! Got the information I needed right away. Jacki was very nice and welcoming on the phone plus she genuinely cared about answering my questions!
Free visitors guides and coupons to restaurants/things to do spots. Stop by and ask about the hidden gems on the island. Visit Fort Myers Beach like a local.
As a Member of the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce, I have found them to be a pleasure to work with. As a visitor to the area, it is a VERY IMPORTANT stop if your visiting Estero Island, as they are up to date on all of the local businesses and promotions. Not to mention they do alot for the community!
Need to clean it up
Ft Myers beach used to be a great place to go in the evening after sunset to have a late dinner or a drink and enjoy the evening. Recently they have allowed vagrants to take over the pavilion at Lynn hall beach park. You now get to pull in and hear a bunch of loud vulgar bums and if you’re really lucky you can have one come up and start hassling you when you get out of your car. Seems like they don’t care about the people who come there after season, you know the same people who came after Hurricane Irma to spend their money or the people who came during the red tide last year. Seem the least they could do is evict the resident bums who have moved in and make it safe all year round.
Unfair parking tickets on the beach. Not even given 5 minutes to find a pay box when a parking ticket is issued to us. Called rude Doug suggested by ticket rider and was told we could go to a hearing! Really?? Are they that desperate for tourist money!
Once again, the portable toilets on fort Myers beach are disgusting. Most of them are almost full, not one of them had any toilet paper, and only one of the hand wash stations had water. This would seem like it should be a priority to insure that snowbirds continue to visit this beach. There are many other beaches to visit that are clean. Sanibel island has clean beaches and very nice facilities.
6. Strummer Modern
Address: 14621 6 Mile Cypress Pkwy #2, Fort Myers, FL 33912 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Very fun place to stay! Don’t expect a 5 star looking hotel. It’s all about the location and fun.
Great location and they make great chicken wings.
It’s a crappy hotel but nice staff
Feels like the hub for partying on the beach. From the small shops in the beach side lobby to the sliding rocking tables. Outside the walk up bar.. Ready made frozen drinks and band stage facing the water.
I stayed in lani kai resort inc two nights (08/27-08/29/18).
When I checked in I had to sign an agreement of $50 deposit as a hotel policy.
I checked out on 08/29/18. After a week I had not received any credit from the hotel. I sent an email asking for the $50 deposit. As I did not receive an answer I called the hotel (sept 05, 2018). The front desk person told me that the $50 deposit would take ten business days to get into my account.
I waited another week and called the hotel again (sept 17 or 18, 2018). I spoke to a manager named jacob. He said that the deposit was released the day I checked out and the bank was holding it.
I have never had any situation like this one with any other merchant or business transactions. If I return something I bought it takes max five days to get the money back into my account.
Well not in lani kai.
I have been there three times but this was my last one. Not happy or exited to come back at all.
WARNING please check if the hotel returns your deposit into your account. This may not happen.
Also the transaction is under a restaurant business (not a hotel!!!!!) which makes everything more complicated when u try to dispute the never gotten deposit.
Lani kai please enjoy my $50 deposit, my reviews, patience, all my time and effort to do the right thing.
FMB is the best island. Lani Kai is great beach fun during the day
No te dejan llevar cooler.
Te obligan a consumir alli o aguantarse.
NO LO RECOMIENDO. NO VOLVERIA
NO TUVE BUENA EXPERIENCIA.
8. Guitar Center
Address: 4440 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Great selection of entertainment equipment, and service.
Had to stop by for some gear I needed for my music shop. BRANDON & Shawn we’re freaking amazing! I got there at almost closing time and they were extremely helpful and polite to help me get everything I needed and did not rush or push me to buy things. Would highly recommend this store!!
As a new guitar player it was great to go to a store that had a helpful staff in getting set up to play without a lot of pressure. I was gifted a few nice guitars and the staff got me setup with the advice and items I needed to get started. Fred, one of the guitar technicians restrung one of my guitars and provided great tips and advice as I navigate this new interest of mine. Fred’s experience and customer service will keep my future business with Guitar Center in Fort Myers.
Seems like every time I go in I find broken instruments, equipment or missing parts of items I would have purchased.
Good deal with some equipment
Ok
They are crooks. Wanted to give me 200 for an 800 guitar and even took the plastic off without asking
Came in to sell an audio pedal. Internet was down so the employee told me to come back another time and apologized for the inconvenience. No problem. I come back 2 or 3 days later. I wait 30 minutes after they checked my ID for a manager to come and approve the deal. Maybe I’m overreacting with my star rating and he really needed to wack one out before helping me.
Great selection but poor customer service.
9. Salty Sam’s Marina
Address: 2500 Main St, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
I love this marina, the staff makes the experience 5-star. The dock hands and dock master go out of their way to make me feel comfortable with storing my 2020 Sunsation 32CCX. Highly recommend these guys!
Fin
Fun Dolphin tour!
Great food good atmosphere and prices are right
Another fantastic view.
Had a great time. Will tent from them again!!
I’ve been renting boats for years in the Ft Myers area. This has to be the worst place to rent from. The short lady must hate her job she was disrespectful and had a attitude problem as soon as we walked in the door. She really puts the Salty in “Salty Sam’s”. I would recommend going to another marina.
I lived here on a 34 ft cabin cruiser. They forgot to mention the double murder and fire. Also internet for such a big business suck if you are in the boat slips. Dockmaster is a jerk, especially to elderly disabled ladies.
Horrible service, think again before going here because they personally dont care about you at all. They only care about your money. If you ever lose anything from the boat they will make up a random price that’s way more than whatever the item is really cost. If you lose the anchor look up how much its really cost because they will charge way more like $240
10. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 17105 San Carlos Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Excelente supermercado.
No one goes to Walmart for customer service. You go because it is cheap. This location is very clean & well stocked. I went for an oil change and 1 tire. Was told it would be about a 4 hour wait. Which was fine. They called me when my vehicle was ready. No issues, just the way you want a trip to Walmart to be.
Nice clean store.
Cashier was rude
Not to bad
I couldn’t find English speaking staff stocking shelves. I even went to customer service who were not helpful. Atleast they spoke English. I could see the items I needed were in-stock online but zero assistance finding them. I went down the street to Target and found all the items I needed.
Customer service could have been better
11. Ft Myers Beach Plaza
Address: 19051 San Carlos Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Nothing better then the Gulf of Mexico! Upper 80’s water temps are wonderful if you like a warm soak!
Fun little dive bar
Awesome place.
Hurricane Tina’s 5 star dive bar.
Didn’t shop here just checked out the old willys that was parked there. Tinas bar looks to be a good place tp go and hang out
Good place to go with kids or not alot to do here
Complete dump
Rent is to high for prospects,…,
Dirty shopping mall old and ran down. Need much needed improvements considering its close to the beach.

Restrooms: Love going to Times Square when we go to the beach to walk around.
Lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. You have to go to Times Square while visiting Fort Myers Beach.
Times Square probably holds more sentimental feelings as opposed to being the best beach front shopping area ever. The grandkids LOVE it because they can get a souvenir. You can get a really good meal ( SOBs my favorite), or get $3 worth of ice cream for about $20 at an ice cream shop, or listen to live music outside. You can take the trolley to and from Times Square. Is this special? Yes, but I don’t know why. And Times Square has one of the two most crowded beaches on the island. It’s just my opinion…. But it’s a must!
This is a fun, kitschy beach strip with all the usual shops and restaurants. No beach should be without it. There are a few nicer boutique shops included – like Local Color, which was my favorite. There was very little in that store I wouldn’t buy. Also there are several fun ice cream shops. You see the usual chains – DQ, Cold Creamery, and Kilwins – but after much research we decided the locally owned 80 Flavors shop was the best. It’s a great place to pick up tshirts, sweatshirts, or alligator shaped chocolate for the folks back home.
Very pretty location and they have a smoothie place that is to die for!
A lot of shops and restaurants to choose from.
Parking issues.
No place to eat without walking a few blocks and then the food is nothing to brag about. No entertainment. The noseeums and sand fleas are horrible and every time we go we come home with dozens of bites all over our bodies. There is no plans to rebuild the pier for at least five years. The only bathroom facilities are porta-pots. No pets and no smoking on the beach are not enforced. We used to go a few times a month but for now on, we’ll drive up the coast and spend our money elsewhere. Maybe when Margaritaville opens we’ll consider visiting again.
Beach wie seit 1980 immer schön,nur der Bauboom am restlichen fmb nicht mehr authentisch, nur noch Hochhäuser wie sonst wo auf der welt, mann kann auch ein Idyll zerstören siehe bild
13. Mr Music, Inc.
Address: 12951 Metro Pkwy #3, Fort Myers, FL 33966 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
I have been taking electric guitar lessons with Mr Music for s year and a half now. I love it! Love the people… my teacher and the business!
Had everything I needed for my banjo.
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
14. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 8991 Crown Bridge Way, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Rebecca has been training my two kids for a year now, and both of them couldn’t be more than happy having her as their teacher. I recall the day of their first lesson, and how both of them came home very excited about learning the piano. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a music teacher for their children.
I’m 54, I’ve lived a very colorful life, at times, it has served me well and other times, it’s been filled with failure and loss. However, those are all the end product of decisions I’ve made on my own; so I’ve learned to accept the good with the bad and always try to take the positive out of all my experiences.
My son Joshua started learning piano at TR Music and Voice Lessons last year, and he loves every moment of it! Ms. Adams is incredibly patient and makes each lesson fun yet challenging.
Taylor Robinson is a marketing company. That’s it. They’re not local. They pay their teachers 40% of what they charge the customer. Teacher does all the work and driving and TR keeps more than half the money for making a website and stealing business away from local musicians and stores.
15. Tech-Tronics
Address: 4224 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Love this place, came up for a visit on the ferry from Key West, the people were amazing,,had a great time!!!
This place and the mermaid. (Same owner) Best bar to drink at. Its like Cheers in real life. Don’t believe me. Check yourself
Good times on Sunday mornings!
Great locals bar. Happy hour is fun! Best folks in the world. Very welcoming!
Good neighborhood bar. Mike the bartender has been there forever and is top notch. Pool table is $2 per rack, which is outrageously high. Drink prices are reasonable. And yes, there is quite a bit of smoke. Thursday night is bingo night so don’t go then unless you like bingo and crowds. Clientele occasionally on the edgy side. By the way, they do not serve food here. This is a drinker’s bar.
Fun place to have a cocktail.
Liquor store connected to a bar. Very limited selection and high prices
Smoking inside… Pass.
Bartender had attitude
18. Kiwanis Club-Fort Myers Beach
Address: 11050 Summerlin Square Dr, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
I love Kiwanis! Friendly, helpful staff, and I always find something I have to have!
Very friendly and helpful
Very good. Nicely organized – 50% sale – some good savings.
Nice place, could be cleaner, but staff are friendly. Thrift stores tend to be dusty anyways, dont let it bother you! They have tons of cute and classy stuff!
Lot of furniture, clothes and household stuff.
Friendly staff quick service
OK Second hand store. Lots of furniture and most times I have been in there thy have had 50% off the furnature. I did try to donate so.e gently used furniture items and they refused them. I understand not taking broken, ripped or heavly used items but these wernt, they really were in good shape I just didn’t have enough room for them. It frusterated me and to top it off the guys who “inspected” the furniture were really rude. I have been there since Center and have seen things in much worse shape. I don’t go much, and have never purchased anything because that really put me off spending my money there.
Kind of pricey for many items.
Not allowed in the store without a mask but yet the employees are not required to wear a mask way to go
19. Bongo’s Bar and Grill
Address: 275 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 , Fort Myers Beach , Florida , United States
Great food and even better prices. You can have a bite to eat with a few drinks looking over the beach and not have a fifty dollar check!
We love this place. Everytime we visited we eat here.
Excellent spot for sunset dinner or just drinks.
The food was ok, would rather go to a restaurant outside the resort. Same quality for a cheaper price
Beach food but good, if ordering hamburger order well done, I ordered medium well and it was medium rare
Food is decent service is good expensive but that’s expected that it’s on the beach
Hostess were rude food was horrible hamburger was raw wings over cooked the only professional and great service was our food runner katelin. There staff must of wrote the other reviews because the restaurant was nothing like they describe
We’ve ate here twice now (on our arrival night. We’ve stayed at Pink Shell 2 years in a row now). This place had extremely slow service both times. Which is made even more terrible when you’ve just arrived after a long day of traveling, everyone is starving, and you have a toddler on the verge of a hangry meltdown. We waited around 10 minutes before a server acknowledged us, another 10 before our order was taken, another 15 before the drinks arrived (which were very basic: a beer, a glass of wine & a chocolate milk), and another 15 before the simple, overpriced meal arrived. My toddler got a $9 hotdog, I got a $16 chicken rice dish and my husband got three fish tacos for $16. So the tab was $70, which kind of hurts when you knew better than to give this place another shot but by the time you realized it, you’re committed and trapped because there’s no other easy options at that point. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you want quick service. The positives: the guy playing guitar, and the food was warm.
