I recently took my Gibson SG to Cousins Music to get it worked on in preparation for an upcoming recording session. The service was phenomenal and very affordable. If I have any issues with any of my musical equipment in the future, I’m definitely coming back to Cousins Music. This is the place for guitar repair!
Beau is an expert not only at servicing guitars, but also in customer service. He has performed setup and repair work on several of my guitars now, and each one I have gotten back was clean, pristine, and played like a dream. He will go the extra mile to be methodical and thorough in his work, ensuring that your instrument plays and sounds as good as it possibly can when it leaves his shop.
He’s easy to talk with. His terms for pricing and services are very easy to understand, and his turnaround time is quick.
He also keeps strings in stock and has an assortment of instruments and accessories in his shop for sale. His social media presence is very active, so you can find out a great deal from this business’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
The shop is conveniently located in the courtyard of Brunwick Place, right in downtown Fort Smith.
I would 137% recommend this shop for instrument setup and repair, and it’s definitely worth checking out if your looking for instruments, gear, and accessories for sale as well.
Best place in NWA for all your instrument repair needs. Aaron is a grade A guy with a great local business.
Good repair work

The people in the store were very helpful and they were friendly. They were very knowledgeable about the music that I was looking for
Love Debbie and Allysa! Great ladies!
Love this store. The employee’s are the best!!
It’s good quality music and instrument accessories but their a little costly
They had the components I needed and were very helpful.
They are very friendly and have good service. I believe they are high on their prices.
I showed them the kind of guitar strings I needed specifically not knowing entirely the name because they’re the experts right? I said I needed bullet strings for two fender guitars… they sold me a pack of “strings with the ball on the end” and when I opened the package they weren’t what I needed. A musical instrument store where the workers don’t know anything about musical instruments. Don’t waste your time or money or money, you’ll just be gaslit.
I bought a keyboard DGX-640 from this store which is cost $920. Then I realized the keyboard was not brand new and there was no box at all. Later, I did a research online, (Ebay, Amazon..etc.) and found that the original price was only $599 including everything. Most of the keyboards they are selling are not brand new at all. Be ware!

Ben and great place to go for get guitars or anything else Ben also give lessons and he’s very good at it I would highly recommend Ben
Nice people and a huge selection of instruments.
I really liked this place, everybody was very nice
The people are great. Having a repair capability is surprising. Having both new and used equipment to purchase is nice. I will continue going back – even so, a few pieces (albeit they were used) have underperformed.
Ben and staff were very personable. It’s cool to be in a music store where you can look over the counter and see a guitar being built from scratch. They have a nice array of inexpensive instruments. They have the brand of guitar strings that I always had to go to guitar center (Fayetteville) and get. They have more than one gauge of banjo strings, and the knowledge to tell me why.
Bought some gear. Didn’t use it. Asked if I could return it or get store credit. I had inadvertently put a cord in the wrong sleeve. Even though I had the receipt, which the guy wouldnt look at, He rudely accused me of being a crook trying to get a refund for merchandise I hadn’t bought there. The return policy is not posted, nor is it on the receipt, so I asked. Never been treated so inappropriately. Don’t recommend. Won’t return.
Absolutely will never do any business here again. I ask my wife to take something in for repair and the guy was rude, disrespectful, and a total jerk to her.
He had a guitar of mine for over a year and never got it fixed. Never communicated with me about anything. I had to always go to his store to find out what was going on.

Jimmy is an awesome guy he’s reasonable and I’ll tell you what this is first time I brought three guitars to have new strings he did all three of them within an hour tuned in and had a fair fair price thank you Jimmy you’re awesome and the kids are very happy
Jimmy’s been doing this since I was a squeaking teenager. Twenty five years later he’s still doing great repair and upgrade work. Got my guitar back sounding better than it did when I bought it. Cheers!
Jimmy is an awesome dude that you can trust with your equipment. He does great work, would recommend highly!
