Great shop. The owners take their time with you and there’s zero sale pressure. In fact, they actually encourage you to take an instrument down and plug it in. Cool vibe in the store.

I took my inexpensive but not crummy guitar in to fix a string buzz. The guitar tech diagnosed the problem, fixed it in due time (I had to wait a day behind another more extensive job, which is fine), and the bill was quite reasonable.

Pros: I just moved here and was told by a guitar center employee that Flores music down the road has the best guy around to diagnose a problem I have with my very expensive guitar. Three shops had tried and failed at this point. I wish I could remember the technicians name; it started with a “j” I know, he takes one look at the guitar and checks a couple things. He then tells me that the problem is easily fixed. I tell him I’ve heard that before. But while I waited he fixed the buzzing problem and even corrected a couple other things that were bad. I’ve never had a guitar play this well ever! The con is when I was done thanking the savior of my taylor guitar a man from the store got mad at me for peeking my head in the shop to talk to the technician who I am trusting with my guitar. Sorry Flores music for bothering you with my business. Great repairs and lousy customer relations.
I have bought $1,000’s worth of stuff from this place. I always have felt like I had been treated fairly and given a good deal. I have even taken some of my stuff in to have it repaired and cleaned. I bought a fantastic pair of speakers no one has heard of and that have a goofy connection on the back. I went in and spoke with them about it and decided to try banana plugs. I was under the impression that if it didn’t work I could bring it back in and return it. So my wife stops in with the original receipt and in the original packaging (unopened) and they refuse to give our money back. In store credit is all I can get. It’s terrible business practice and I should have been told up front that they would not except the return, especially since I had been talking to them about what I was doing. I will from now on do my business elsewhere.
Ripped off a 15 year old gave him 250$ for a 700$ guitar that was 3 months old would never go here for anything, also had a les paul fretboard gauged and fixed here done terribly wrong it buzzed at most lower frets dunno how they are still in business besides the fact they are the only ones with mesa boogie
Do not visit if you have brown skin. Clearly has a preference for whites only…. cannot believe this place and the racist service exists in 2014!!! Had a horrible experience. They would rather not serve me or take my money….. beware black and brown people of Peoria!!!

I met up with Aaron for the first time a couple of weeks back (based on these reviews) to have him swap out a pick-up, do a set up, and some other cosmetic work. I will add my five star rating to the list; you can believe what you read here. He treats your guitar like it’s his own.
I highly recommend Whiskeytown Guitar Repair. My mom gifted me her vintage 1951 Gibson acoustic guitar. I was surprised to find a Luthier in the Peoria area. I contacted Aaron and he inspected it and suggested a few repairs. And he also recommended the proper strings and a humidifier which I promptly purchased. He even helped me find a better case to keep it protected! He kept me updated on his progress along the way. He was so helpful and always available to answer my questions. I was thrilled with the work he did, and happy with the pricing. Now I have a family heirloom that looks and sounds wonderful! And I learned so much from the experience. It feels good to know the work has been done correctly to preserve the value and integrity of the instrument. Thank you so much, Aaron!
My old electric guitar isn’t particularly valuable but it’s mine, I disassembled it to give it a custom paint job a while ago, and I reassembled it in expertly, leaving it with some electronic problems and in bad need of a setup. Aaron straightened it all out and got it playing better than it had in a really long time! Great work

Guitar I wanted was on police hold
Some essential accessories cannot be found here. I needed “guitar to usb” cable to record my pieces but after wasting my time there for 20 minutes I have been told my only option is some $60-120 interface… I found what I needed in Amazon for $29 which works perfectly fine with no latency. They provide wrong information be careful. This is to make money under any condition…
Ordered a used behringer crossover. Was told it was in good condition and tested. When it arrived it was missing pieces and would not even power on. So i had to more time out of my day to drive it to the local guitar center and return it. Ordered a new one instead off Amazon with a 3 year warranty for way less. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Terrible selection of instruments. The staff took up all the speakers, jamming the entire time we were there, couldnt test anything let alone talk over each other. When testing a dwa with a maudio keyboard, a staff member asked us “can I help you with something” NOT with a friendly smile, but instead with some serious attitude as if saying “why are you here”. All the dj equipment was on but not set up, nice to look at but couldn’t test anything. Most keyboards were unplugged and upon trying to test the synthkeyboards they were also all unplugged, but I spent half an hour setting one up, effectively doing the employees job. Acoustic room had the majority of guitars severely out of tune, which not only is damaging to the neck of the guitars but again forced us to do the employees work by tunning them whenever we picked on up. Didn’t visit the percussion section, but it looked like a mess from far away, the drums not spaced out but instead uncomfortably smashed together.
Honestly most depressing guitar center I have ever been in. Wanted to look for a new guitar, now I’m so turned off by these stores that I think I’ll just stick to the internet for my next purchase. Manager should take a long hard look at his staff.
A wonderful Sunday afternoon with 3 talented musicians, playing the songs I grew to love growing up. Great variety, excellent harmonies, gifted players. Waited too long to see them. I’ll definitely keep track of when they are performing next. Thanks, guys.

I bought an Artist Yamaha C6 Concert Grand from currrent Piano Network owners Matt & Larry Waldhoff, which I love and still play every weekend at the Possum Trot Supper Club Danville, Il. I purchased it about 20 years ago when they were with Samuels. Fortunately they asked me over 2 years ago to help represent Piano Network a great new store in Champaign. I am proud to work for them,Yamaha, Allen Organs, and represent and offer these World Class instruments.
A great selection of pianos and the salesperson was very knowledgeable about all of the pianos. We did find a piano and purchased it that day.
For 30 years my wife and I dreamt of getting a baby grand piano. We found Piano Network and, with the help of Shay and Matt, we were able to buy a beautiful 5’8″ Yamaha. It also has a silent feature that allows a person to play the piano (using headphones) while not interrupting other’s conversations. When the piano arrived, there’s was a slight adjustment that was required. Matt dropped everything on the day it was delivered and diagnosed the problem. He worked relentlessly to resolve the technological adjustment in the silent feature and we were up and running. We have been extremely happy with Piano Network and the service that they provide.
Too many records to look thru in one session, but that’s a problem I can live with.
I went into Younger than Yesterday having total ignorance of vinyl. I simply needed a few records for an electrical engineering project, and the staff helped me through every step of the way. They even gave me advice for how to do my project. Great store, great atmosphere, great people.

Never will return. Had records out on the floor that evidently weren’t for sale yet??? had no interest in helping me and then when he did was a total jerk. Unbelievable.
