W W! Guitars, percussion, strings, keyboards, brass, woodwinds lessons, books, vinyl, repairs… in such a cool store, close to home.
So great to have a full service music store in Avondale. They have lessons, rentals, repairs, instruments and records! Full Service y’all! Friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you with what ever it is that you need. I’ve gotten guitar pedals and strings there several times now. Parking in front is limited but there’s spaces in back as well.
ATTENTION ALL GUITARISTS! If you are in need of any kind of work done to your guitar… Village Music is the place to go. I recently had an amazing experience with Jake Willoughby and Village Music. I was in need of a few upgrades and some fret re-work/setup done to my Ibanez As73. Jake’s attention to detail, clear communication and video updates of his progress with my guitar was AMAZING. Jake took my entry level guitar and made it sound and play like a top tier semi-hollow electric guitar. I will take all of my guitars to Village Music and have Jake work on them going forward. Do yourself a favor and request Jake for all your guitar repair/upgrade/setup needs. He does amazing work!
Village Music is a brilliant store full of knowledgeable and friendly staff. Let the team at Village Music know what you need and they will find a solution for you. We are very lucky to have a place like Village Music in our community. I’m looking forward to my next visit and recommend everyone check this place out. It rocks!
Called the store 3 times before arriving employee was sitting down on his phone when I walked in so I’m assuming the phone is not connected in the store.
First time guitar owner needing new strings put on was told to bring in my guitar and stings in from the car.
When I came back in I was to he’s no expert and someone could get to it later.
Not a big deal at all I just wish I would have know that before driving over and being told to go grab my item from my vehicle.
I visited this store which was rated as a great pace to sell vinyl records. Well I agreed to sell some of my records for a paltry $25 to be received via cash app, even though the clerk told me the owner has a habit to forget things, but I was assured my money would’ve be sent the same night or next morning. Still have not received my payment. Extremely unprofessional especially for such a small amount of money. Extremely disappointing and dissatisfied and would advise against utilizing this service
3. Dirt Cheep Pro Audio & Musical Instruments
Address: 2415 S Cobb Dr SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
Good customer service the peoples are very informative in what you need. customer service is great will continue to go to this store.
This is the place is straight forward and easy i had a les paul guitar that was over 20 years old and they fixed it better then anyone in the area could im glad i found there store
Great staff. Very helpful
A wide variety of instruments and equipment, and all at reasonable prices. I found a tabla drum for $45 and they were able to give me an educator’s discount. I will definitely be going again. The store was a bit untidy, but not problematic at all.
Great customer service.
I have been going to these guys for years. I have had nothing but good experiences. They were very honest and never pushed me to buy unnecessary equipment or supplies.
They charged me a 10% restocking fee for an M-Audio USB interface that had flaky drivers for Windows 7 64-bit. When I told them about this problem one of the guys asked if I was running SP1 or SP2 for Windows 7. When I told him no service packs are out for Windows 7 he looked it up right in front of me and had the audacity to say that M-Audio had drivers for Win 7 SP2. This guy was totally clueless. So I got charged $36 because M-Audio had bad drivers. I won’t be going back.
I was not pleased with their return policy. Just make sure that whatever you get there, you never plan to return it. They left a very bad feeling.
It is NOT dirt cheep!
4. Pro Music Outlet Inc
Address: 4135 Lavista Rd Suite 210, Tucker, GA 30084 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
Great energy, awesome product knowledge and they have really awesome deals on equipment. They helped me get the best bang for my buck and also guided me in the right direction for my setup. Overall good customer service and I will continue to shop with my boys at Pro Audio Hands down
Professional and seasoned expert in music
Well to be honestly when it comes to finding the right equipment tools that you need to establish a successful business. Especially when it comes to music everything has to be super fine to use things are quite the buzz to get typically only for practice material only. Truthfully you should always get anything that’s Musical and days so in tune with your heart has to be brand new. So I went to this particular place to buy Saturday items that I might need to spruce up my canvases so I can make that Perfect Pitch sound wasn’t too disappointed and wasn’t too excited either but you never know what you get until you open the book. This place has a lot of items that I haven’t seen on the market such as basis old Phantom keyboard classic stuff that started off hot and probably early 90s onto to the mid-2000s I say 2008. So if you see vintage music places like that they have Studio tired and still a Quick Med in a might have that particular our scent and will you get ashlie record music these places are typically the hotbed for local rappers local musicians things of that nature is like a vintage bookstore. You might not find what you’re looking for but you might find the past from which you once was looking for. So you can stop by this place give it a try and there’s also store next door so we can get hungry or thirsty or you want to gamble just a tad you can go up there and check out this place you might find what you looking for.
Amazing service and prices. Gotta love them
The owner Tony goes out of his way to make sure I have everything that I need. This is why I keep coming back to shop with Pro Music!
Never open, when I visit
UPDATE:
I have visited 4 times, during business hours, only to find a sign saying there are closed for a break.
Great place if you want to buy equipment. Not so much if you want to sell your items . I’ve called the owner about some things I wanted to sell to this location, each time the owner lied and said he wasn’t there or he would call back tomorrow. Very unprofessional if you ask me , if you don’t want to do something just say it .. don’t lie to a customer.
These people cap Smh. Sold me a 100 mic.
In I end up looking it up smh this same mic is 22.dollars on Amazon. I Took it back right away
Alllllll Cap Over there look up the merchandise prices before u bye
I learn my lesson
5. Jennings Music & Education Center
Address: 3595 Canton Rd Suite 308, Marietta, GA 30066 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
Everyone at Jennings Music couldn’t be nicer! Very professional and knowledgeable. Ms. Katherine is a wonderful music teacher, she is very patient and understanding with her students.
I would recommend Jennings Music to anyone needing instruments, supplies, books and lessons.
This place is a great little music shop. Friendly staff and a wide selection make it a must for locals, and passersby alike.
Very knowledgeable staff and good prices.
Nice store. Very friendly and helpful. If I ever consider leasons for anything, I’d definitely consider them.
The people there are very friendly, courteous
Edit: I was called the day of this review and my issues resolved within the week. I have never received such a quick response to a complaint and it counts for a lot in my mind. I can tell that their reputation and customer satisfaction is important. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding my previous experiences and change my review. I’m not sure why the ball was dropped previously but they made sure to fix the problem and apologize. Everyone makes mistakes but their willingness to take responsibility and handle the situation was refreshing.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! I signed up for a lease to own plan for a bass at this store. The plan is supposed to include repairs and a size upgrade because my son is 13 and still growing. About 8 months into the plan the bridge was broken on the bass (a simple fix) and I was told to expect 3 weeks for repairs. 3 weeks turned into several months. I had to start going in person everyday and basically harassing the staff to give him his bass. They never gave him his bass back. They gave him a very beat up bass and told me not to worry about the appearance as he would not keep this bass and would have one in better condition once the contract was up as the size would be upgraded. However, once I took the bass home to my son he informed me that this bass was smaller than the original one he was given and so he couldn’t practice at all. I informed the store of this in August, it is now January. The store is completely unresponsive and unless I start harassing them again, they’ll leave me with a product I can’t use but still charge me monthly for it.
Way over priced !!!!! My son in high school needed a mouth piece for his instrument. Jennings wanted to charge almost $70. You can get them for $20 in Kennesaw and YES they are acceptable and standard in the class room. Wow! I am so tired of this area trying to over charge.
These people were extremely rude and impatient this evening. I was trying to reach a salesman that left another store. I need a cello but I will not buy from these people. Instead of trying to sell me something they simply hung up in my face. I called right back thinking it was a mistake and they were not kind. They lack good communication skills and have no customer service skills at all. I was expecting them to say, “… the person you are looking for does not work here but we would love to assist you with a purchase”.
6. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 3636 Dallas Hwy SW, Marietta, GA 30064 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
Requested an orchestra instrument for rent online. I received the item within a day of placing the order. They were in constant communication and extremely helpful.
Is the best store. Just left the store gives you a brand new instrument any instrument the best store while you wait you can play an instrument go check them out
Smaller than the one on Cobb parkway. Friendly staff. No complaints. Just a pretty limited selection.
Staff is helpful to get the sale but be careful… Merchandise is expensive and there’s no returns because of Covid. They don’t tell you about that detail before you spend your money!
Wasn’t able to be in this store for 5 minutes trying to find my 4 year old an instrument to learn without two of the employees hounding him to not touch anything. As a professional musician trust me I have my son trained to be careful around expensive instruments. I also picked up a guitar to play and think about purchasing it but the guy told me they are supposed to bring it down and hand it to me, I said I know how to handle a guitar and he says “not a $1,300 guitar” I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I find it hard to believe a store would go out of their way to lose a potential sale. I live in Carrollton Georgia so I don’t get out there much and I asked to exchange an un-used microphone I purchased from them (over 90 days ago) for another item. They told me no. That’s basically it. Who says that to a potential customer? I know your starving for business but ok I’ll purchase elsewhere from now on. I like companies that are interested in my business. I recommend Willcutt guitars
7. UKE Republic Ukuleles
Address: 5000 Austell Powder Springs Rd SW STE 250, Austell, GA 30106 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
Great experience. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
I visited Uke Republic after reading about it in the local newspaper. The timing was good as I was just gaining interest in the instrument. Mike was very patient (still is) and took the time to teach me what to look for to meet what I was looking for. I am a life long guitar player so I am very familiar with stringed instruments. Mike knows what he is doing and most importantly is very honest as well as truly enthusiastic about ukuleles. He has put together a great shop. I am a frequent visitor and trust him enough to have a uke custom made by Uke Republic’s Sailor Brand Ukulele Co. If you are a uke player or are just interested in the instrument, do yourself a favor and visit.
Super-knowledgeable owner made the uke-buying experience a pleasure. Well worth the trip.
I had a mixed experience. Through Uke Republic, I was able to get an electric ukulele (which are currently on worldwide backorder). Unfortunately, the one I received had a humbucker that wasn’t correctly attached. Mike sent me some screws to fix it but I’m not familiar enough with ukes to have done it on my own. I ended up paying to have a brand new ukulele fixed. I am sure that if I lived closer, Mike could have fixed this pretty quickly. This is the downside of mail order ukes. Hoping to visit his shop after the pandemic.
I placed an order on 3/29/23. Item never shipped. Poor communication from store. Told it’s on it’s s way multiple times, but never shipped.
Asked for a refund still no activity. What a shame. All I want is you to do what you say you will one time.
Ordered an Ohana O’Nino through UKE Republic. I went with this company because of their fast turnaround time AND included setup.Turn around time was fast but when it arrived it appeared to not be setup. I am very disappointed.
I ordered an Ohana ukulele from Uke Republic back in February. Having only played for about 4 months, I thought I had received a really nice ukulele. However, as my ears became more attuned to what I was hearing during the next couple of months, there was a definite intonation issue – especially when playing the A7 and A9 chords – muddy and awful sounding. The strings were changed on the uke, still the same intonation issue. I contacted Uke Republic, and it was suggested that the humidity and temperature where the uke is stored were too high. WHAT? It is a climate-controlled home, and the uke is stored in a case with a 49% Boveda pack. I was seeking advice on what the issue could be, and after I pointed out that the uke is properly stored, I have heard NOTHING from Uke Republic. They completely brushed me off and will not answer. I do NOT recommend buying from them, as they can not advise on what is wrong with a product they sell. I suspect that they knowingly shipped a problem uke to me.
Edited to add: I took the ukulele to a local luthier, and the action at the nut was way too high. After adjusting that, the weird intonation on the A7 and A9 chords was resolved. (I am offended that it was suggested that it was a humidity issue!) (The action was also lowered at the saddle.) It will have to go back to the luthier because of an intonation issue that has been mapped out on the 6th – 12th frets – the notes are off by 1 to 1 1/2 steps. Frets 1 – 5 sound great and are in tune – the rest are not. Still a problem ukulele, but it will hopefully be fixed soon.

9. Everything Musical
Address: 2400 W Britt David Rd, Columbus, GA 31909 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
I dropped my Gibson Historic off to have pickup covers soldered on. To be honest I was a little nervous about it but Cody did an awesome job working on my guitar. He listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. I am very impressed with his work and would not hesitate to take a guitar to him. Great job Cody!
This shop is awesome. Such a down to earth staff and obvious Luthier presence. I watched an excellent employee entertain and educate a mother and (very talented and hyper) youngster on an awesome keyboard selection. I heard him say “yes! We got a keyboard”. As they were leaving.. such an awesome experience.
Im just visiting from Utah, but this shop and the employees, the selection( especially PRS) just floored me. I bought a lil, practice amp, Marshall code..they went out of the way to make me the best deal on it.
This shop is flat out the best. I’ll make it my priority to buy from them from now on..
Called looking for an audio-interface they were currently sold out of(hot item) and got Glen on the phone, He was honest & he told me where in town I could find the product since he was out of stock. Great business!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A good selection of guitars.
Brad was very informative about what we were looking for
To the proprietor of Everything Music,
love Everything musical! Location and staff good YET your store, could be….
Updated?. splashes of vibrant colors, glitter, just a hint of music’s exuberance.
And to wake up your staff. Thier retinas really do NEED IT!
Percussions, I will consider placing them in a central location adding 2 Or more drum sets. Allowing the novice to browse. I never got to within eight feet of sitting down behind one, the bullpen for your sales reps. Is in the way.
Guitars. Lots of them acoustic, Bass.
Tons! With a selection, UM? NO, NOT MUCH. Well… of course the wall of the dun, dun, dunnn! The expensives. Grouped ever so closely, and out of reach.
Or the three hundred dollar OK electric guitars. So, no more insults.
Please include five more guitar models at the $750.00 level. This will increase your profit margins.
Last: consider opening up the interior of the building so customers can turn right, strait, or left, when first entering the building. Right to pianos, key boards, left acoustic instruments, forward to drums in the center location, and further forward to electric instruments.
Very poor service everything was out of tune. Every banjo in the place need to be set up
And the to set it all off this grey haired prick comes running over to me like excuse me excuse can I help you, in a very condescending tone like are you even a drummer this is very expensive and I was just looking at it and I guess since I am covered in tattoos I’m not a professional touring musician who knows how to play anything……. Screw this place if your a musician they do not like our kind
The staff are great and I get great service. But as left handed guitar player and I know I’m not the only left handed in Columbus. I need more selection than just one left handed guitar to look at.
I went into Everything Musical with the intent to look at, and price trumpets for my son for band next year. It was going okay we were looking at their selection which was next to nothing by the way. Whenever I wandered towards the back of the store where the pianos and keyboard are. My toddler than jumps out of my arms to go over and play on the pianos. The staff which were nowhere to be found a minute ago run over, and freak out and say don’t lean on or put pressure on the keys. I was livid really don’t touch the keys to a piano?? So needless to say I bought my son a trumpet online and they didn’t get my business.
10. Forte Music
Address: 2220 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
The owner is a wonderful guy who loves music and teaching it to others. Great with kids. Highly recommend.
Moved to Dublin several months ago and have had my Gibson Les Paul and my EVH 5150 looked at and set up by Jason, with absolutely no regrets or hesitation to take guitars here in the future. Jason is knowledgeable, helpful, polite, and personable. I was worried about finding someone to preform setups on new guitars when I moved back to a small town and having to driver hours away for help. Forte Music is one of the best local guitar shops I have done business with, highly recommend Jason for any and all of our needs!
Good store. Very helpful staff
Seems to be a good place to buy musical instruments..accessories..fair on prices.. would recommend..
11. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 7445-A Old National Hwy, Riverdale, GA 30296 , Indian Springs , Georgia , United States
I have been involved in music on some level most of my forty-eight years and am a music educator. Jackson’s Music has a personal touch that is rare in music retail. I have purchased many musical instruments and accessories from Doug and Steve through the years. Jackson’s is my hometown music dealer. Some things were atypical like Bass Harmonicas and others like Flute, Saxophones, and Bass Clarinets. These guys are authorized dealers in many products. If you have an item or items you want or need and don’t see it, ask!
Doug and Steve will go out of their way to assist you!
I am certainly a happy regular and a loyal one! Thanks for all you do Doug and Steve! I appreciate your assistance with my wants and needs!
Best Wishes,
James M. Dodd
Katy, Texas
Fabulous place. I shop with them for everything.
Very customer friendly with a old school feel..
I went there to pick up a music book. Very simple transaction. The sales clerk was nice and it was set up very neatly in there. Would recommend to anybody looking for music-related items.
Music store with small private session rooms in the back. My daughter’s first flute lessons. She learned alot. We look forward to her next lesson.
I respect that the owner did follow up to compromise on resolving the issue.
Didn’t care for the customer service from female cashier
After nearly 10 years of doing business with and at Jackson’s Music Store, I can say that I was deeply angered, saddened, thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service that I and my son received.
The customer service and the (African-American Male with the salt and pepper dreads) was deplorable. His arrogance and lack of compassion for my son and them losing parts of his accessories (guitar bag, strap and amp cord) was most upsetting and alarming. However for him to say that my son didn’t turn in a bag and accessories when I was on the phone with him and ensured that he did was a slap in the face.
He offered no compensation or even try to help replace the items that they (he in particular) lost.
From a professional standpoint and standards, it was the most unprofessional experience that I witnessed and was most upsetting for this to have happened to my son as this was for service to a guitar which was his Christmas present.
The customer service nor store manager offered no apology or even bothered to look for the items.
I’ve served my country for nearly 30 years and am a Retired Army Officer. I’ve been in music ever since 1984, since junior high school and this was the first time that I experienced that type of arrogance from a manager and customer service.
I will never patronize this store again after that ordeal. I will drive the extra miles and take my business to The Guitar Center from now on.
Just a waste of space , the lady that works there doesn’t even know the items she’s selling or what they do , and they have close to nothing in the store. Black guy with dreds is cool though
