The customer service at Hood’s Ace Hardware is second to none! Very competitive pricing and a super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I definitely recommend checking them out.
Always friendly people to help you find what you need. Something for everyone, too.
Friendly staff, lots of things to choose from
They were renovating, but I love this place otherwise
Store is nice since reopening after the fire but miss the gift section. This Ace used to be the place to get what you needed and unique gifts, sadly it is no longer like that. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Extremely friendly employees always there to help.
Valspar paint is the worst! This place is over priced .
Brought in a weedwhacker to be fixed, 3+ weeks later still no phonecall. Actually ended up with even less of the weedwhacker than I brought in! The return process for 3 boxes of light bulbs was not ideal with the guy helping me acting as if he was mad at the world!
Friendly, never have enough 1 items

Used to be a rock in roll mcdonalds always good service here
Fast and friendly service even when they are extremely busy. I have visited this McDonald’s once and it was a great experience. Order was delivered perfect and was hot and fresh, plus very tasty. I visit many McDonald’s through the Midwest and this was on par (or above) most that I visit. Highly recommend a visit! Keep up the great work!
Fast
It was pretty decent. Food wasn’t bad and service was acceptable. I’d return to it. Only problem was no toilet paper in the women’s bathroom.
Only one nearby along route47
Where’s Ronald McDonald
Took them 25 mins for our food and 45 for coffee. I would not recommend eating here
This place is a disaster. If there’s more than 3 or more cars in the drive thru then plan on waiting 10 minutes and much longer. The employees are useless. Have that idc attitude. The food is bad. Just thrown together and they never get your order right. There’s a Hardee’s across the street, if you have to eat at that exit then I recommend eating at the Hardee’s. The dwight McDonald’s is really really bad.
Worst quarter pounder I’ve ever had.
6. JELCO Supply
Address: 103 N Sangamon Ave, Gibson City, IL 60936 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Friendly, professional, efficient and very helpful. Completed the process in 10 to 15 minutes. I would highly recommend Ed if you need help with your FOID card renewal.
Tons of inventory. Always tries to be helpful. Will stay open later or open early if needed.
Owner must be broke. He can’t come up with the money to pay us either. Going on 90 days now and no money.
Ordered my Safe on APRIL 2nd 2020, Ed was the liberty safe sealer. After a long stressful time of arguing and struggling to get in contact with Ed I finally got the safe 6 months later only because I went and got Liberty Corporate involved. Went three months with no contact from Ed. Ed gave me every excuse under the sun on why it wasn’t being delivered and if there was an issue he would tell me he would looked into it and I wouldn’t hear from him for like weeks. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from this company. I wouldn’t even recommend anyone to ask him what day it is.. very unprofessional company
I’d give 0 starts to Ed the scammer. Paid for merchandise in full months ago. He can’t produce the merchandise. Asked for a refund and he plays dumb.
7. Horsch Radish
Address: 209 N Sangamon Ave, Gibson City, IL 60936 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
We were excited to try the new place as it was tadition to visit the old restaurant before going to the drive in. I am happy to say that my expectations were well met with tasty food, cold beer, and friendly service. Make sure you ask for Angie as your server!
We just had dinner with another couple and it was great! The food was fantastic and the service was great. So happy to have this place locally!
The new turnover of the previous German restaurant is really a gem. The food is at its good quality and dessert is great. Reservation is required for now. I’m glad that people from Champaign can finally enjoy some German food around the area.
As someone who very much enjoyed the previous restaurant in this location, I appreciate the professionalism of this new establishment. It brought the modern era into classic German style cuisine without the pomp and circumstance that can often make the restaurant appear unsanitary or slow the roll of service with an extensive menu. Much of the food was very similar (especially the sides and some of the desserts). However, I think it’s worth mentioning a few things. Firstly, the pretzel and beer cheese needs some work. Given the quality of what was before, it was lacking tremendously. This is coming from someone who previously would’ve been willing to come for just the pretzel and beer. Secondly, some variety in the sausages available would be nice and having to ask for mustards with a sausage platter was not ideal. Thirdly, atmosphere wise, there was no music playing when I was there with my family. Thankfully it was the six of us so our conversation drowned out the awkward silence. And as a final and personal request, bring in veal schnitzel! All in all, I think Horsch Radish needs some work but I see a lot of potential to continuing the Bayren Stube legacy. Given their menu and location, that should be the goal even when reduced to what it is.
Third time here, Food still very good but service was a little hit and miss. Ordered appetizers of soup and pretzel but was told pretzel unavailable because of a party booking. Also no asparagus available. (Really feel customers should know this stuff up front) Appetizers didn’t show up and we ended up getting them during the main course. (In fairness they did gave us one free because of this) After meal we ordered 2 bailey’s creams and two coffees. Coffees showed up but no Baileys. We asked again for 2 bailey’s creams, This time a jug of cream showed up. We then realized that our server didn’t know what a bailey’s cream was, We explained and she returned with the Baily’s in a jug Again we were not charged for the error. We find the lighting a little too bright because it destroys the cozy feel. Will eat here again but won’t use it for special occasions. Other restaurants do a much better job for special occasions.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again. I wasn’t impressed with the portion sizes especially considering the price.
We were very excited to try this new restaurant in town, but unfortunately our experience was deceiving. I booked reservations a week in advance for a booth. We were sat at a small table right in front of the exit door (when there were two open booths right next to us) where I had to move every time people left. We proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our waitress to bring water and menus. We placed our orders and received the appetizers in a timely fashion. From the time we sat down till the time we received our food it was 1hr and 35 minutes. Our waitress offered us a free desert which we declined. The bison ribeye was very good I will say, but the smashed potatoes were cold. Our other meal the chicken schnitzel was still pink on the inside and the smashed potatoes and broccoli were cold as well. As this is their “soft” opening, I really hope they can change things for when they fully open up.
I was SO excited when I learned that this restaurant would be keeping the same recipes and chef as Bayern Stube. If that’s true the person must be suffering from amnesia regarding the meal preparation. Honestly the only thing that tasted the same was the red cabbage. I ordered the 3-sausage plate, which was very good; I just thought it should have come with more than one side. My side salad was edible, I can’t say that it was good; there were some unusual vegetables on it. And it was kind of on the pricey side for the portion I got. You get a bread basket with the meal. I have never in my life paid as much for a single (I was never offered a refill) glass of iced tea as I did here. $3.50 for a rather small glass full of ice and a little bit of water heated over tea leaves. I really dont understand why restaurants charge the same amount for tea as they do soda. There’s no $300 a case soda syrup they need to buy; it’s literally hot WATER poured over leaves. Must be a ‘just because we can’ thing. My black forest cake (which used to be Heavenly from Bayern Stube) was $8 or $9. It was mostly whipped cream so it looked much bigger than it actually was. The cake part was dry, there was hardly any cherry sauce on it, and it was so tiny. So basically they jacked the price up by $2 and changed the cakes to 2 layers instead of the former 3 layers. I’m going to give them a second chance after they’ve had time to expand their menu and HOPEFULLY take a good look at their pricing anomalies. Seriously guys…. $3.50 for tea and $8 for a dinky, dry cake is verrückt. They still have that good old polka music blasting on the speakers, though, just like old times! Ahhhhh!!!
Have heard good things have heard bad reviews were mixed so I tried it out myself went in during maifest and tried to order a pork shank told me to buy a ticket that’s 10 extra plus the price of the shank. So I get the sausages instead they looked good but tasted like they had been sitting under heat for a while (not fresh). My sides were dry which was sad because a 50 dollar meal I should at minimum like it. But I want to love it. Bread was rock hard and cold. I chose not to try dessert after my meal experience. Might try again but not looking like it will be soon.
8. The Music Shoppe Inc.
Address: 27 E Marketview Dr, Champaign, IL 61820 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
I am a music teacher and have come to the Music Shoppe for a long time for a variety of needs. They are always friendly and very helpful. They are willing to order anything not in stock, find music I may not know how to find, and help students that I send in to the store.
Margaret Escobar
We have used the music shoppe in Champaign for all three of our kids and been very happy with the quality and service. But our last experience was truly exceptional. We purchased a nice clarinet for our son. He was very happy, but it played flat. The people at the music shoppe immediately ordered a new one, but my son really liked the first one best. So they ordered a new barrel (slightly shorter) from the company for us! Definitely well above and beyond.
We will definitely continue to buy from them and encourage everyone in the area to support them as well!
Made an online purchase of band shoes for my child… needed them quick. Sent a text message view their website to check how quick they could ship. They responded within minutes, before the store even opened. They told me the shoes were in stock and would ship same day. Awesome service.
Nice staff, wonderful selection, higher end of the usual price range though.
It’s a good place for renting and buying instruments. They repair and provide loaner instruments.
Last time I came in here I had an employee make fun of me/my instrument because it wasn’t high end (which I knew). Now that I work on my own instruments I know better than to put up with snobby musicians like the one I dealt with here. Three stars because I can’t condemn the entire establishment because of one or two rude employees.
Looked at stuff for over 20 minutes without getting attention of any staff members on a very slow day. I literally was carrying a list of items I needed. Prices were way out of line. Selection was slightly better than Guitar Center.
I went in to have my saxophone serviced. The saxophone I play is pretty nice. I mentioned that I played it in marching band and the woman belittled me for playing a nice instrument in marching band. Sorry I don’t have an unlimited supply of saxophones.
I went to get my clarinet fixed and they tried to up sell me on getting all my pads fixed and thought I was a child and were annoyed I came in the store when I came to pick it up. I will not be using these services again because of the horrible service I received from the workers.
9. Swing City Music Co
Address: 244 S Buchanan St, Edwardsville, IL 62025 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Every time I have gone to Swing City, they have greeted me with a smile and ask me if they could help me. When I say I know what I’m looking for, they do the best thing a customer service employee could do: they trust me to look around by myself without them breathing down my neck. I’ve had that issue at many music stores over the years, but they respect personal space and allow me to look around as much I want.
In addition, their prices are on par with the lowest you’ll find online. In my experience, I’ve bought guitars, pedals, drum equipment, and lights from them and they always give me the correct price. No price match or anything, but everything is priced exactly how it should be.
The nicest and most considerate employees work at the Edwardsville location and I haven’t had a bad experience yet in the six years I’ve been going there.
Disclaimer: this review is for Edwardsville store. I haven’t had the same experience at the Collinsville location, but I am still giving them the benefit of the doubt before I write a review about them.
I love Swing City Edwardsville!
Swing City Music in Collinsville is a local treasure!
I am ashamed to say that while I was once loyal to Drum Headquarters on the Missouri side, for the last several years my schedule has made it highly convenient for me to go online and order gear, sticks, what have you. Even though I work less than a block away from this location, I hadn’t dealt with Swing City in many years since it was at the old location.
I recently got into more of a recording project and I know nothing about home recording, mixing, monitors, etc. So I have visited with Art at this location now a couple of times. I want to stress here that after my recent experience of trying to learn about and purchase a wireless in ear monitor for studio and stage, I will no longer order ANYTHING from the big guys.
One look around this store and I realized how wrong it was of me to EVER give my money to the Sweetwaters of the world and why it is so important to shop local for music gear if you have the opportunity. At this location, people are taking lessons, kids are learning to play, local artists music and merchandise is available for purchase, local shows are promoted and on and on. There are so few opportunities left in our area for any sort of music “scene”- places to learn, play, hone your craft, etc. but this is one of them and it is important that we support it.
Art and Art Sr. and their team explained mixers, in ear monitors and different aspects of recording and sound to me, etc. clearly so that I could understand what was best in my situation and they didn’t treat me like a dummy for being a 44 year old musician who should already know this stuff by now. They didn’t try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need AND as an added bonus they beat SweetWater’s pricing on everything without me even bringing it up or asking ( I would have paid more for the free education that I got from these guys). Strongly recommending that everyone go here. They have an outstanding selection, great service (not a snobby guitar shop atmosphere), and they can get you what you need if they don’t have it. Thanks for reading. Hope this helps!
Staff was nice, they’ve got some good deals too!
Two location. If they don’t have what you need here try the store in Collinsville.
Probably my favorite guitar shop
Staff is nice. Small store, but if they don’t have it, they order it and get it to you within a couple days.
I use to be an avid customer. But I am growing more and more frustrated with the management. I feel like I’m going into a sleazy used car dealership most the time and I am treated like a waking wallet. I’ve bought some guitars and amps there, so I am (or was) returning customer . The employees act fake and I feel like everyone is treated like they are a child. I was going in there to look around if there was any new stock, the employee kept on hovering and was forcing me to play the instrument I didn’t want to try.
Honestly, go to mojos. This place is as unpleasant as a guitar center
Was at the Edwardsville store this afternoon and one of the employees was very unhelpful and rude. Instead of helping he just told me everything was out of my price range. He doesn’t know me or how much money I had in my pocket. Will never go back!.
10. Mark’s On First
Address: 120 E 1st St, Gibson City, IL 60936 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
This music store has always been helpful with advice on gear and offering premium products.
Dave sold me my first Taylor guitar and when I went searching for a 12 string this was the right place to go. Thank you Music Makers,
Excellent Shop. Huge selection. So many gorgeous guitars, the best selection within many miles. Super friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Came in to get a tuning machine fixed on my bass. They had it taken care of very quickly and it was extremely affordable. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly.
Knowledgeable staff and everything you need.
Great
Been going literly for 20 years. Decent service. Nice ppl. Definetly has everything a musician would need.
Last five years I have purchased several guitars several by I’m talking around 10 I walked in to this music store a lady did not even ask me how they can help me all she said was what are you looking for looked around for awhile noticed that the pricing was a little bit outrageous. But the main thing was the woman that put the sour taste in my mouth by acting like it was a bother for us to even walk in the store. Oh well their loss my game I’ll continue purchasing equipment from American music supply Sweetwater. Won’t go back
These guys are crooks. Everything they sell is overpriced, and their services are terrible. I went in to install a new bridge pickup for my electric guitar, and they quoted an unreasonable price for the job. Since I was already there I figured whatever, go ahead. They estimated the job would take about 24 hours to complete. Little did I know “24 hours” meant a month and a half to them. I’m not even kidding. Every time I went in to the store to check, they yelled at me and said “there’s a guy who comes in to do the work, but he’s been just swamped lately. He’ll get it done when he gets a chance”. So 1.5 months later I receive a call, and it’s finally done. I go to pick up my guitar, and plug it in to one of their amps to check out how it sounds. It sounded like something was damaged in the guitar. I told them that there was something seriously wrong here, but they said it’s probably their amp and I should go home and check it out. I went home, plugged it in and it was messed up. It literally sounded like metal springs grinding against each other. The strangest noise I’ve ever heard from a guitar.
When I took the guitar back to them, they were incredibly rude and told me it was not their problem and the pickup was broken. So I was out $130, and left with a broken guitar. I ended up having to spend another $200 to get the whole thing back to playing condition.
I learned my lesson, and have warned all my friends against this store.
Got a “better than” feeling in there. Short, unhelpful answers for my 14 year old grandson.
12. Old Delhi Music
Address: Contact, Urbana, IL 61802 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Excellent customer services. Nic will get back to you always within 24 hours regarding your inquiry. In addition, he seemed to have endless (and pleasant) patience with my MANY questions about which harmonium was best for me, and clearly was not trying to get me to purchase the most expensive harmonium, but help me get the one that was right for my needs. In addition, the Bhava harmonium I bought is FANTASTIC. I had another one that I bought from a well known seller years ago that didn’t even compare to the Bhava I bought. I was very impressed with the sound and quality, especially for a smaller harmonium. If you are unsure where to buy your harmonium online look no further. THIS is the store. If cost is an issue I would spend a little more time saving than buying from a cheaper online seller. You will not get better quality or support than with Old Delhi Music.
Old Dehli Music Provides some of the most beautiful Harmoniums of an unsurpassed quality 🙂 Nic is wonderful and very smart with the work he does and the concert tuning sound’s fantastic, he really does know and understand his stuff when it comes to harmoniums and is extremely helpful ; a person as well of great integrity and kindness. When I received my harmonium it was packed very well and with great care for shipment, no buzzing reeds no rattling keys, damage or tuning issues. I cannot recommend this company enough. Thank you again Nic for the beautiful work and for the helpful tips and knowledge, it is greatly appreciated 🙂 I will definitely be purchasing from Old Dehli Music again 🙂
David 🙂
Great service and great products.
I received a faulty instrument from these people and when I asked to return it they denied my request. Even though it was kept in a hard case which I also purchased from them. They were entirely at fault and chose to steal from me instead of being accountable.
NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They will steal if given the chance.
13. Capital City Music
Address: 3700 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL 62711 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Love this place! High end equipment, good prices, good staff
Great group of guys. If they don’t have they have no problem finding and ordering it for you. Excellent prices as well
Great place for your musical needs. Just bought a Fender Squire and the guy gave me a great bundle deal..case and stand included. Check them out!
Nice store plenty of gear in stock , staff was pleasant , prices were reasonable and they even had some used instruments for cheapskate s like me hahaa I will go back and give them some business, even though online shopping may save you a few nickel s or couple bucks shopping local and having our local business s right down the street is well worth it to me .
I primarily look in the guitar/bass section, but good selection of instruments and helpful staff.
My go-to music store. Good selection. Always helpful
The guest experience was alright, but after going in, and returning my item the staff took my return and assured me it was completed, I left and enjoyed the day, more than a week later and I have discovered the staff I talked to must have processed my return improperly since I have never received my refund on my bank statement and when I tried to call in to get the situation corrected I was told they could not find my transaction. Edit… The owner has personally reached out to me and has worked to correct the situation.
went to get my guitar set up and it came back out of tune, disappointed to say the least, reading other reviews it appears the staff might need more technical experience or organization
I am giving two stars because Matt Waldhoff took the time to speak with us in the store. Other than that, I’m not impressed. We were going to consign an expensive Clavinova with them. Upon looking at the contract emailed to us they wanted 40% of the price it sold for, which was satisfactory with us. What was not satisfactory was even thought they only charged $100 to pick-up the clavinova it appeared from the contract they wanted $100 to deliver it to the new owners. Also, they would take no responsibility for any damage that may occur to the unit while it was in their hands. As we had questions regarding that contract we contacted Matt Waldhoff two times via email, asking him to clarify certain aspects of the contract. He never responded back so I assumed they did not want our business. I ended up selling the clavinova on my own and kept the 40% they would otherwise have received. It is inexcusable to not return emails to clarify a contract and I can only assume he took offense that we had questions regarding a contract where they took the profit, but absolutely no responsibility for damage.
Ignored from the time I walked into the store until I left.Walked a circle throughout looking for help only to find employees chatting it up. Both looked up at me and quickly turned away and continued talking to each other. Will never get my business.
14. Swing City Music Co
Address: 1811 Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent music instructors!!
Really helpful. Understands the goal that we are trying to accomplish and I had great suggestions on how to make it happen.
My family has been doing business with Swing City Music for years. They have been able to meet every single one of our musical needs. Great, knowledgeable, dedicated people there.
A good old school music store.
It’s a really good place. Sorry, we were the ones that crashed intk the building
This place is so bad I’d rather go to guitar center and I hate guitar center. They are fine if you’re just going for lesson but if you’re doing any type of business seriously save yourself the trouble and go to any other local store or guitar center.
They hate drummers. Lost a sale because they were condescending to a young man I was with. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
The entrance was beautiful the photos of all the different artist and musicians was wonderful and gave me an idea of what I could be some day. I was greeted appropriately, and they answered all my questions, but that was just what they did. They didn’t ask any further questions or give me a reason to be there and learn about the infinite possibilities of music from them and their instructors. It seemed like their knowledge of music and instruments had become just a job.
15. Don’s Music Land
Address: 7717 N University St STE A, Peoria, IL 61614 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Don matched some online prices for us, ordered things that they didnt have and made it easy to support local business! Very friendly environment. They also have great music lessons for our kids!
Don is an amazing man. He took in my brother in law’s beat up Yamaha and made it beautiful again. Don told us about his history with Yamaha. If anyone knows more about the story of Yamaha from a dealer’s and repair perspective in Peoria, I honestly don’t know who it would be.
Shop local folks. They care.
Don Middleton has been the go-to guy for musical equipment in Peoria for years. So much more than places like Guitar Center. Shop Local.
Gd selection
16. River’s Piano
Address: 2207 Rebecca Dr, Champaign, IL 61821 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Sam was very helpful and knowledgeable. Made the purchasing process seamless.
All your musical needs in one store
The staff at the Peoria Guitar Center is AWESOME. Denny is extremely attentive to your needs and finds solutions that are acceptable for any situation. Johnny B back in the Lighting and sound department is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
It’s ok
It’s guitar center
It’s a blast
Terrible selection of instruments. The staff took up all the speakers, jamming the entire time we were there, couldnt test anything let alone talk over each other. When testing a dwa with a maudio keyboard, a staff member asked us “can I help you with something” NOT with a friendly smile, but instead with some serious attitude as if saying “why are you here”. All the dj equipment was on but not set up, nice to look at but couldn’t test anything. Most keyboards were unplugged and upon trying to test the synthkeyboards they were also all unplugged, but I spent half an hour setting one up, effectively doing the employees job. Acoustic room had the majority of guitars severely out of tune, which not only is damaging to the neck of the guitars but again forced us to do the employees work by tunning them whenever we picked on up. Didn’t visit the percussion section, but it looked like a mess from far away, the drums not spaced out but instead uncomfortably smashed together.
Honestly most depressing guitar center I have ever been in. Wanted to look for a new guitar, now I’m so turned off by these stores that I think I’ll just stick to the internet for my next purchase. Manager should take a long hard look at his staff.
Absolutely awful experience.
Drove over an hour and a half to this particular store to buy a specific Les Paul, I get there and no one could be troubled to help us. Stood around waiting for 15 minutes before leaving to drive to a different store.
Returned a new microphone never used it had a couple of numbers on box which I wrote and they took off 10 dollars for the writing on box .I could see if something was wrong with the merchandise but a box
18. SS VINTAGE
Address: 4422 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60640 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
By far, the BEST interaction I’ve had with a store owner. George is extremely knowledgeable, super quick to respond, and simply treats his people with utmost respect. No hesitation to do another deal again.
Have gotten quite a few things from SS Vintage and have been blown away every time! They actually care about their gear.
Five stars because good people at SS Vintage. Specifically, George was quick to respond to my messages. Don’t hesitate to do business with SS Vintage.
bought a vintage amp online and it arrived with a blown speaker.
dishonest seller – no stars
Rude and over priced. I will never give you a dime!!
“Our expertise is second to none”
“Impeccable service”
If you have an issue with your purchase, you will regret it. They have fundamentally poor expertise with regard to vintage, and they will weasel out of accountability.
19. Tobias Music
Address: 5013 Fairview Ave, Downers Grove, IL 60515 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
Back when I lived in LaGrange this was my favorite music store. The service was always outstanding, the people friendly and patient. I’m planning on visiting the area this summer. Maybe I’ll buy another guitar this visit!
Great products. Knowledgeable staff. Been a customer for decades.
Great family owned music shop. Wonderful inventory but, more importantly, it is owned wonderful people. Online or in person, this shop is well worth a visit.
***EDIT***
So, I am knocking down my review from five stars to three; due to my most recent experience a couple months after the first one. So I reached backout to buy another guitar (place order) as I really wanted an AD22e or another model I can’t remember, but after confirming they could place the order I let them know that I wanted the AD22e and to provide me the full price so we could close the deal and they went silent, mind you I didn’t even get a copy of the receipt from my AD27e that never came which I had also requested from the last conversation.
I did finally get my guitar ordered but I had a national retailer place the order. I was disappointed I didn’t hear back from Tobias Music about completing the purchase and obtaining a copy of the receipt for my AD27e that never came.
** original **
Just bought an AD27e (Taylor) from them after finding it for sale online. it was a great buying experience. I’m a lefty, buying guitars online is the norm, and most of the time guitars I buy take a day or two to pack and ship. we had a few emails back and forth and they were quick to respond and very professional. These guys had it packed and shipped the same day, and I didn’t place my order until after lunch; that’s service.
They also took the time to dial the guitar in; it came with the action set and was tuned ready to play out of the box. Paul did a great job and really made this buying experience easy, and hassle free. I’ll have to check back often to see what other lefty guitar they get in. If I have the chance, I will buy from them again.
They are more of a acoustic guitar place not really a place for bass players .
20. Guitar Center
Address: 7250 S Cicero Ave C, Bedford Park, IL 60629 , Gibson City , Illinois , United States
I LOVE ALL GUITAR CENTERS..WELL ALMOST ALL OF THEM.The G.C. on Cicero VERY POOOR SERVICE’S..AND RIP OFFS..
Wonderful costumers service we went in to looking for some things for my daughter’s guitar as a Christmas gift. Me personally have no clue as to what brands or things were best for it but i most definitely found what i was looking for thanks to the help I got from 2 different employees. Honestly I doubt i would have been able to find what I needed on my own. My daughter absolutely loved her new accessories and things that she needed for her electric guitar. I highly recommend this place we went on the 24th which was most definitely a very busy day and yet they were able to take time to assist us and help us out on what we were looking for.
Good service
They have everything you need.
Some of the staff likes to diminish lesser musicians… it’s sad, like punishing a sad innocent child.
I waited in line for about 20 minutes.
Their website indicated that they had Rode PSA1 boom arm. Show up and completely empty rack. And hour to drive there for nothing. I’m now buying from online retailers to save me the disappointment and frustration of buying local.
Store socks! They told me they had
What I was looking for, i drove 25mi,
When I got there didn’t have it, completely wasted my time won’t go back.
