Stopped in to have my husband’s guitar restrung. Both gentlemen were very friendly and personable, price was great, and the work was excellent. I liked the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the salesroom and the luthier’s shop, and loved the conversation. Rare to find this kind of place nowadays. Thanks for a very pleasant experience.
To be honest they are great. Very helpful.
Get all .my guitar gear from strings to sound equipment great prices. And now they have a Lufier end also, for repairs and general setup of your Guitar I highly recommend them , great service and great prices. And a knowledgeable staff.
Friendly people. Both knowledgeable and reasonable priced.
I moved down here at the request of the owner with a very small incentive, the very least he could do. During my tenure, I learned he does not pay employee taxes… I also learned that he was spying on me in his adjacent office via webcam…I have reason to believe he was instrumental in my being robbed of $40,000 worth of My personal music gear As I was informed by my girl that he was present in my home when I wasn’t, as was Sam. I should add that Sam That does repairs repeatedly did substandard work when it came to setting up action and truss adjustments which I had to rectify myself. I gave my all to help them build a business and brought Sam in who ultimately stabbed me in the back which caused me to lose all respect for him. I gave them one star because there was no lower rating available. I strongly discourage any self-respecting or serious musicians from doing business with them…(I should also add that in the 2 years since I’ve severed ties completely with Ken, he has persisted in making snide comments in an attempt to berate and mock me to a ridiculously immature end… He once was a friend, but his recent insinuations reveal his true character. Paybacks are not my thing, but in this case it is more than warranted. Let the chips fall where they may, this is your doing for A. the above treatment of me, and B. continuing to use My name in a derogatory fashion and mocking me in your posts. I would recommend Milano music in Mesa, they have a fantastic luthier and repair shop. They are top notch.
(In response to Ken’s response )As for the response by Ken himself saying if he sued me for libel he would win, that is a ridiculous response. A review be it good or bad is entirely reasonable for somebody to post publicly based on their experience with the business in question, and bad behavior does not get rewarded. These are my feelings and thoughts and people can judge based on their own thoughts and feelings. Had I not been treated this way, this review would not exist but it does because it’s true.
You take the good with the bad Ken, and it appears here that your own truth is a bitter pill for you to swallow. Nevertheless, I have to forgive you for this all and that isn’t for you, it’s for me. I edited the review for more concise content when I cooled off a bit after reading your “Post James” comment.
I would have loved nothing more than for this to have been a positive experience, but it wasn’t. I was thrown under the bus by you in such a disrespectful way that nothing is reconcilable outside of my forgiving you and that is for my own serenity and well being. Lesson learned.
Sam does amazing work with his repairs. He is very friendly, very experienced, and always treats the customer right. I will only go to him for my guitar needs. Support local businesses like this one!!
Great work, great price! Sam is the man!
Nice guy running the place, has some great axes.
5. Campos Music & Supplies
Address: 1241 E Broadway Rd #24, Mesa, AZ 85204 , Gold Camp , Arizona , United States
Excelente servicio! si eres músico y ocupas un nuevo instrumento, Bosina, inalámbrico, púas, estuche, tololoche, tuba, etc ve a esta tienda
These prices beat any other place you go to. Really good customer service and was very informative about the guitars.
Lots of stuff in a nice, small store. From inexpensive instruments (like percussion blocks and tambourines) to guitars and large standing base guitars to a reasonably priced electronic drum set and stage lighting. This place is worth a look for your music needs and curiosity.
me puedes decir si tienes burros o boces para acordeon honner corona II de mi mayor y cuanto cuestan
Good service and good prices
I never got my refund after UPS told me they had received their product back. So I called them after 2 weeks of no respond and a worker there told me “oh sorry i forgot” and finally gave me my money back. NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN TOTTALLY UNRELIABLE! I bought from them on REVERB.COM
HE’S LYING ON HIS REPLY, UPS TOLD ME CAMPOS SIGNED FOR IT ON SEPT. 13 AROUND 1PM. That’s why i called them myself to ask for my refund nicely, before i filed a Lawsuit!
Muy buena atención
Horrible customer service ! Never going back to this place !!!
Seems like a good small music store. The had what I needed.
Their guitar repair guy (Brandon I think his name was) is just brilliant with guitars. Gave me a spare part I needed for free because he had one lying around and gave me some next level expert advice on dry-climate guitar care and neck adjustment. This place is fantastic – thanks again!
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
“Jp” the owner looked right at me and said “no” to giving me a 10% teacher discount for an $11 red label string. Thanks bud.
DO NOT shop here, the employees are rude, the owner is rude, their selection sucks, not even half of what they had even a year ago. Quality has gone way down hill. It won’t be long till they’re gone.
They have nothing for the drummer! Maybe some sheet music? But nothing more!
8. Brindley’s Music Center
Address: 836 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225 , Gold Camp , Arizona , United States
Brindley’s did an amazing job of restringing and tuning my guitar in a timely manner, at a wonderful price. The staff were extremely helpful, will definitely return with anymore instrument related requests.
I took my guitar in for a repair and was very satisfied with their work. It plays great and the neck feels good. Thanks Bruce!
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
Sold my 6 month old Guild OM240 cuz I was struggling financially. I paid $425 for it at Bizarre Guitar. Owner tells me there’s major work needing to be done cuz wood was dry and neck was tweaked. He said he’d hafta put in humidifier for couple weeks and he MIGHT be able to repair. He offered me $150. I had to plead with him to give me $160…The very next day he listed it on Offer up for $375. Call it smart business. Call it shrewdness.
I call it dishonesty. Only Guild I could ever afford and I’m humiliated. Regret going here.
Terrible. The service is great but. 13 dollars for 1. 1 Bari sax size 3 Reed is way to expensive. I could get 5 for 30 on Amazon. That’s a amazing price. The sax repairs are way to expensive. 100 for a check up. When you Could go down the street to superstition mountain music and get everyone about 50% cheaper.
Beware DO NOT RENT from them. They lied about insurance. They RENT beat up instruments then make you pay to fix them. Was told it would be $20 per repair then at register charged $25 per repair. Will never go back. Take my advise and take your business elsewhere
9. Dinosaur Mountain Golf Course at Gold Canyon Golf Resort
Address: 6100 S Kings Ranch Rd, Gold Canyon, AZ 85118 , Gold Camp , Arizona , United States
Note the date. Course was just out of maintenance and in the middle of a heat wave. Great track wasn’t in show condition. That said, it should be the showplace it is known for right now. Would go back for sure.
Gorgeous course!
Beautiful course, interesting with smoke from brush fires in the distance.
Gold Canyon Golf Resort, rated 4-1/2 stars: You’ll need your straightest-hitting golf game and adept course management to prosper on Gold Canyon’s highly-rated Dinosaur Mountain course. Having a camera at the ready is not a bad idea either. Laid out in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains, Gold Canyon’s first-choice championship course is a wild, undulating and dramatic layout, definitely one to challenge all facets of your game.
Nice course with desert mountain background. Elevated tee boxes and great views. We played on a Sunday and we waited on every tee box except number 1. Expect a 5 hour round of golf. Offered limited water on the course with no free bottles like other high end courses usally offer. Value was OK. The groundskeeper does a great job.
Amazing views, but a really difficult course for me.
The greens here are awful, dirt patches in the middle of the greens, bumpy, un-mowed, slow. For a $130 dollars a round they should be embarrassed
Don’t look too close! First impressions may deceive. The lush green grass, the undulating greens, the views, the views, the views and did I mention the views!
It’s beautiful, but you’re paying quite a steep price for golf, and there are a few things I would like to point out.
Many of the tee boxes are not level – not even close. How hard is it to level a tee box, especially considering they close the course twice a year for over seeding. Many, maybe 50%, are not level. I’ve heard of Turtleback greens, but turtleback tees?
And getting from the cart path to the tee box can be a challenge. A lot of the railroad ties used for steps are rotten and disintegrating. And, some of the rebar used to hold them in place are still sticking up. Watch your step.
Stay out of the sand traps because, well, in short, they suck. Poor sand. Inconsistent sand depth. No rakes. Seriously, NO RAKES? (I was told the lawn mower crew didn’t want to get off the tractors and move the rakes.). For $250, I expect more.
First timers on the course will be awed by the views. They are spectacular. Those who play the course regularly will point out the flaws those first timers overlook.
New owners took over about three years ago. GCGR used to be proud of providing a service.. The new owners are only interested in making a buck. Two years ago, a membership cost $6500. That same membership today is $12,000. And calling it “the same membership” is misleading because over $1,000 of extra benefits were removed from that membership. When the members questioned the price increases, the standard answers were, 1) “We have a waiting list”. And 2) There ‘s been inflation”. By saying “We have a waiting list, you’re saying you don’t care about the people who kept you afloat during the Covid years. And inflation wasn’t 100% over two years.
Course played very nice and was a good challenge. My negative review is moreso based around the customer service provided. There was one other group on the course that we saw for one hole. Otherwise it was wide open. However, our group was still harassed by “Ranger Dave” multiple times because we played the round 21 minutes over pace. There were no groups waiting on us and we just wanted to enjoy the $130 round we paid for + 40 minute drive to make it out there. Quite frankly, this experience ruined not only the round but any desire I have to come back and play dinosaur mountain. If you want to be treated with respect on the course, I would look elsewhere
10. ZAO Theatre
Address: 6338 S Kings Ranch Rd, Gold Canyon, AZ 85118 , Gold Camp , Arizona , United States
Loved the performance. Very interactive. You are up closeand personal with the actors. Very fun. They have drinks and snacks.
Awesome, for a small venue they put on an amazing show.
This is a wonderful community theatre setup. The sets are simple but enough to get the story across. Knowing this, do not expect a huge production with lasers and smoke. Do expect excellent acting.
Wack
Local talent performing Broadway shows, great entertainment.
This organization does not respect their Gold Canyon neighbors by disrupting the desire for dark skies with their large and bright unnecessary signage
