Ruben was really nice and friendly, he kept talking to us after we ordered which made the experience a lot more warm and welcoming. Coffee was made fast and was very good.
Stopped in for some coffee a few times and it was pretty good. Service was fast. They need to train on customer service because the young lady who works the front wasn’t very welcoming. Smile more and maybe greet paying customers, it doesn’t hurt the business.
Staff was timely with order but overall rude.
Coffee was average for expectations.
The coffee is good. I really love the lounge space in this shop. Not only do they have a sizeable area to hang out inside there is an outdoor spot overlooking the mountains that really makes this spot worth going to.
Help was kind. Pumpkin spice hot drink was trashed after 3 sips.
Good coffee, rude service. My family and I ordered and the guy (long hair and a beanie) was pretty apathetic. Coffee turned out great.
Then my dad noticed the receipt was different than the prices on the sign listed. After coffee he just asked about it (it was only like 25 cents but he just wanted to be sure that was the new price with no sign change). They handled it and I hadn’t left yet, and I heard the guy mouth off to everyone that the customer was worried about stupid 25 cents. You know, 25 cents isn’t much – you’re so right. But you never know who is still listening.
Have some professionalism and a bit kinder way with people, period.
3. Main Street Thrift
Address: 480 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
A smaller thrift store compared to ones you find in bigger towns. However, they have a very wide range of items for sale. prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and I think I bought a belt from them. Worth a look if one of your hobbies is visiting thrift stores.
Such good stuff!!
Cute little thrift store! Friendly people and great prices!
Smallish store, found a couple cool items
Way over priced stuff.
I love this thrift store! Very organized.
About three months ago (I was still in my surgery boot at the time) I had purchased a “king” bedspread set. I brought it home and cleaned it and put it on my king size bed. It was not a king. It was a queen and since I could not get to the shop anytime soon, I kept it and I am currently trying to sell it. Yesterday, I went into the thrift store and purchased some items. I purchased another “king” bed set, taking a risk knowing that the first set I bought was not a king. I figured what could go wrong since I hadn’t gotten a set in months. I also told Brenda that if it didn’t work could I bring it back. She said yes.
I brought it home yesterday and cleaned it and line dried it. I placed it on my bed today and once again, the set was not a king set. This time I took some photos and rushed over to the store with it today. It was 15 minutes till closing. When I got there, a young girl with glasses and the usual male associate were at the register. I stated that the measurements were incorrect and that I had purchased another set months back that is also not measured correctly. I showed the photos and the very nice girl with the glasses noticed that it did not fit correctly.
I stated that Brenda said I could bring it back and that I could get a refund. Brenda came out and stated that I could get $25.00 in store credit. I realized that I misspoke about getting a refund. Since it was 15 minutes before closing, the male associate made it VERY CLEAR to me that he was put off that I showed him the photos and stated that the measurements were not done correctly. The snarky attitude given to me by the male associate was truly horrible. I then asked that since it was near closing, could I get a credit to shop there at a different date, because the male sarcastically told me that I had to use it right there and then.
I asked him if he was serious and he responded with a condescending manner. I felt extremely uncomfortable and completely agitated by his demeanor. This was no fault of mine and the fact that the measurements are not being done correctly shows that anyone that shops there is purchasing bedding that is not properly sized. The fact that tourists shop there and could go home with an improperly sized linen set is really bad. I stated that I shop there pretty frequently and the guy said he could give me a credit for a future shopping date. However, I was already made completely uncomfortable by his attitude that I tried to look for items to purchase to make up for the improperly measured “king” bedspread set.
I was able to find two items, which left me with an $8.00 credit.
What an incredibly awful experience for me to have. I would never conduct myself in a manner that that male associate had today. As far as my $8.00 credit goeefus, you can give that credit to the extremely sweet young blonde girl with glasses. She was so incredibly sweet and kind. She conducted herself in a professional manner and not a sarcastic and condescending one.
** I wanted to thank Mandi from MFC for helping me sort this out. I enjoy shopping at the Thrift store and I find some awesome things. I value the time and courtesy shown to me by staff and I am grateful for the wonderful services that MFC provides to the county**
The prices of some items are ridiculously high. I also have seen the same stuff on the racks for a week or more at a time. There is a thrift store called Changes and their prices are more reasonable. Main Street Thrift has been trying to sell the same Patagonia items for nearly a year at prices that are ludicrous. It seems more frumpy now than it was almost three years ago. The staff is nice but the items being sold are very frumpy and overpriced.
Google stated they are open today 09/17/22 so I made the drive 40 min to come shop around, was dissatisfied to see they were closed. I double checked Google, and yupp, Google says open till 4pm (currently 1:58pm). I would like to see the store hours posted correctly through Google and the business should always be checking on it as well.
4. Redbox
Address: 1001 Thompson Rd, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Quick and kind service. In six months I’ve never had a problem here.
Great service
Its McDonald’s…never fast for sure but food is hot
It’s exactly the same as every other McDonald’s
Good food. Great service
Big Mac meal was tasty but the alarm for fries or something like that went off for almost the whole meal.
Extremely under staffed. Took with approximately 9 others that were waiting for their orders it took 16 minutes just to take my order and another 18 minutes to bring order to the front counter.. Also access from parking lot to get into the restaurant was very dangerous and unsafe. Due to uncleared snow and ice buildup
This has by far been the worst service I’ve received from McDonalds. We ordered from the drive thru which took 30 minutes to get our food. Let me reiterate, 30 minutes… at a fast food drive thru. Luckily I am only visiting and not a resident of Granby who unfortunately has only this location as an option. All of the sodas came out flat, (I have no idea how you even manage that but they sure did) the fries were cold and stale, the buns were crusty, two of our orders of double quarter pounders had only a little bit of ketchup and 2 pieces of onions on it even when I requested EVERYTHING ON IT. There was no one at the window for 10 minutes and there was barely anyone inside. I feel sorry for anyone who has only this to choose to eat from in Granby at night. I would rate lower if I could. Terrible experience.
8. Brickhouse 40
Address: 320 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Johnny the bartender and Sawyer was awesome today friendly and most helpful. The fire cracker shrimp was awesome like always.
We had a great experience with Sawyer. When I first saw her I totally knew she was going to be a great server, she gives off a vibe that is hard to not enjoy. The food was so good…I got the BBQ wings and they were positively the best wings I’ve had in Colorado. The staff did a lone dance with us to celebrate a birthday and was overall very friendly.
Sawyer, if you’re reading this…good luck with everything in the future. My only disappointment was to hear you had a boyfriend, he’s a lucky guy! You are great, xoxo.
The service is really good, the drinks are perfect an the food is great and well served.
Hubs and I both had The HUGE (1/2 # Beer Cheeseburgers cooked to perfection, except they were ruined by something tasting like Velveeta instead of real cheese?!?! The service was outstanding too! We will return and I will request Cheddar please!
Placed looked great, but was understaffed. They were working hard so we went down the street for our lunch.
It’s okay place, best thing to get is the pizza
Disappointing service. We were excited to try a few things on the menu and were told ~25 minute wait. Great, drinks at the bar! After 35 mins we were seated, just fine. Thank goodness we ordered another beer from the bar before being seated as we waited another 30 mins before asking the host if we had a waitress. He apologized and said he’d resolve immediately. 10 mins later we walked out after still waiting. Good luck staying in business when you ignore customers.
Over priced for what you get. Not bad food, just not great food. Way better than it used to be, but I can’t say it made a good impression on me. I left there unimpressed.
Had high hopes for this place. Great location and space – but that’s where it ends. We waited 15-20 minutes just to be acknowledged by our server. Watching the room, she wasnt too busy, she just didnt care. A table that was sat after us had food before we even saw our drinks – one of which we returned because it was made with the wrong spirit. When our food arrived it was overcooked, oversauced, and dry.
We work in the service industry and have a lot of compassion for the state of restaurant staffing – but this was just sad. Acknowledgment goes a long ways.
9. Fabric Nook
Address: 387 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
They had the turquoise yarn I needed to put into my afghan. They also had white fabric, I am making my nephews graduation quilt. White squares are for each family member to create there own squares for him.
Newly redone new fabric all the time and great classes
Awesome selection of fabrics and lots of quilt selection also definitely will return. Employee on duty very helpful!!
I like the convenience of a fabric store close by. But I wish they had more of a selection of yarn
Loved this shop. Great selections
10. Never Summer Brewing
Address: 62 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Awesome hole in the wall with great beers and variety and small town vibe
Amazing beers! The owner is awesome and takes pride in his beer.
Great beer, cool 60 modern basement bar furniture and great beer
Small hole-in-the-wall brewery. Not a large selection of beers, but it’s a small town. Good for a one-and-done pit stop
Decent beer and nice atmosphere! I would suggest stopping in just for the aroma within the building. Friendly service, too. Wish we could have tried a different IPA- the one on tap was just not that good. But still worth a trip!
We tried the Killdozer beer and it was quite refreshing, the location was not so much. Looked like it was about to fall apart at any moment, furniture was and it was very hot in there in the middle of the afternoon. Kids were there as well playing UNO.
Very unwelcoming, unchill place. It’s in a very run down, raggedy building. Guy behind bar (if you can call it that) didn’t say much to us at all, almost seemed annoyed we were there, hard to tell though. Beer ok, but not a place I would want to hang out in. Won’t be back. Very cool spots with much better beer in WP.
I hate to give the only brewery in Granby, Colorado this low of a rating but every one of his beers tasted watered down. Even the Smoked Porter had very little taste. I am not an IPA fan and his didn’t even make me pucker from any hoppiness.
There is another brewery called Hideaway brewery in Winter Park that is less than 15 minutes away. They know what they are doing when they are brewing! Go there for some tasty brews!
Really not sure how this brewery is rated so high, this place would be easily run out of business if it wasn’t the only brewery in town or if it was located East of the divide.
Service: Terrible, we were hardly acknowledged, tried to make friendly conversation multiple times and the body language and lack of interaction made it seem like we were inconveniencing them by being the only ones there during the lunch hour. (1/5)
Atmosphere/Location: A bit easy to miss and small but cozy. Seemed like a locals place and it was basic but sufficient. (3/5)
Beer: Tried all their beers in a flight. Enjoyed the Irish Red Ale and Raspberry Stout. All the other ones tasted VERY watered down, lacking flavor and complexity, hop aromas absent. (2.5/5)
Cost: Very affordable but see above, you get what you pay for though. (4/5)
X-Factor: Nothing cool or unique about this place that differentiates itself. As a brewer myself I wanted to like a nano/microbrewery like this but it’s hard to respect pervasive apathy. I don’t plan on returning, next time I’ll grab a beer at the bar or a six pack from the liquor store. (1/5)
11. WorldMark Granby – Rocky Mountain Preserve
Address: 1280 10 Mile Dr, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Other than the fires in it was best i have stayed in a long time. We had to leave early because we got evacuated due to the fire
We loved our stay in the 3 bedroom presidential suite. The rooms were large and clean and the layout was great. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on the balcony while we barbecued. Definitely recommend the casita. We plan to come back again soon!
I always loved the resort and amenities. A quiet little getaway if you have someone to share the goid times with.
Beautiful clean room, fantastic facility, very helpful staff.
The staff was the least accommodating of all the WorldMark resorts we’ve visited.
Everything was great, would have given it 5 stars but the hot tub was at least 112 degrees and after departing and taking a shower back home, both my partner and I’s skin is burning. Hurts to shower or even dry off. Even just being in the sun hurts. Not sure if it’s a chemical burn or heat burn
Terrible service, staff were lazy sidewalk were uncleared and covered in urine spots
Worst stay at a worldmark. The noise from upstairs “another owner” was unbearable. The front desk said there was nothing they cold do. They don’t eforce quiet time until after 10:00 pm. Even if the complaint goes on until 1:30 am
Great room but not flexible for travel. I travel frequently for work and sometimes am called to another site early. When attempting to check out early I was told the full stay would be charged because listing is a timeshare. This was not relayed to my upon check in as I would have rebooked. Also listed as a hotel in google…
Would not recommend.
12. Granby, Colorado
Address: 438 Railroad Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
UPDATE: They have now unlocked the doors! This is an unmanned station.
This station has padlocked its doors. Sometimes the train is hours late and there is no shelter and no bathrooms available. Ridiculous. The train still stops here, But you can’t get inside the station.
I have lived here for three years. This is a central location for many attractions. The tri lakes, winter Park, sun outdoors Rocky Mountains, Rocky Mountains National Park, hot Sulphur springs. There is something for everyone here.
Careful who you tread on.
A nice train station in Rocky Mountain range.
Beautiful spot and the waiting room is bare but airy and clean. There wasn’t any toilet paper which isn’t acceptable really so I left a couple of rolls in there in case someone commits without checking. Should be the town’s job really. Not sure about westbound but the eastbound train is always late. I don’t get why they don’t just adjust the schedule for the constant delay? You’d be screwed waiting here at night at winter when the train is a few hours late.
It is a simple mountain town station. Unstaffed with two bathrooms and a nice mural. It is a short walk from restaurants and snack food at 7/11.
Booked an Amtrak ticket to get to the Denver airport and I waited for an hour at the station and the train never showed. Tried customer support and had to navigate automated messages and sit on hold for an hour just to finally get connected to a human that told me the train was delayed 3 hours. Won’t be making my flight. Had to arrange other transport.
More Union Pacific’s open air junkyard than a depot. Also a perpetual obstacle for the only safe pedestrian walkway onto main street Granby. Would love to see this site shut down.
13. Fat Cat Cafe
Address: 185 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
A delightful cafe in a large timber building.
I had pancakes which were some of the fluffiest I’d ever had.
My only constructive feedback is they need to start offering espresso based coffee. Not everyone is a fan of the diner style brown water that some Americans call coffee.
Amazing! Every meal was home cooked and super tasty!
Good food. Host was great. But expensive.
The best meal value in Grand Lake, Colorado. While the food is not epic it is good, comes in generous quantities and the price is OK. The weekend buffet is all you can eat for less than $15.00. Just about anywhere else you go out to eat in Grand Lake it is going to cost you more. And the town only has one small grocery store. The Fat Cat is recommended.
It had a very nice atmosphere filled with cat decor. Very friendly service. My husband got the biggest piece of fish that we have ever seen.
Great place to eat portions are generous , friendly and nice service, cozy place
Walked in at 11:10 am and they said they were closed !!! The break from 11:00 to 12:30 pm and then serve lunch ?? They should post this so people driving ftom other places know !!!
The place was busy and extremely hot inside. 2 of us ordered biscuits and gravy and it arrived at room temperarture. We only ate about half of it because honestly I have had better biscuits and gravy from Wendy’s or Hardees. My daughter was ok. Spent a fortune and left hungry.
This place appears to be closed and out of business. It has a for rent sign on it
14. Maverick’s Grille
Address: 15 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Excellent food. The green chili is really good and the burgers are superb
Great food and service.
It was pretty good and nicely social distanced.
Frozen chicken strips for $19. Won’t be going back next time I’m the area.
Green chili fries? Sothwest eggrolls and salads were very good. Grilled ham and cheese sandwich was burnt on the bottom.
Green chili is delicious!
Staff was incredibly rude and ruined my son’s birthday lunch. Acted as if they were bothered by us wanting to eat there. Will never go there.
The service was the worst. Waitress didn’t hear me say what I wanted so my meal didn’t come with everyone else’s and I had to wait for another 20 mins to get my food…which was cold!! Meatloaf needed a knife to saw anything from it, middle of mashed potatoes cold and beans crunchy and warm, not hot. While I could forgive you didn’t hear me say my item (I had also ordered a cup of soup), the non existant had to hunt you down to get our bill after 20 mins of sitting with no one coming was inexcusable. And, it wasn’t just our table or even our waitress. Of the 3 that were there, none of the tables could find their waitress. Would not ever come back here.
Waiting staff seemed to be aggravated by our being there. Left before we were even seated because of the unprofessional and rude behavior of the hostess.
15. Destination Granby
Address: 516 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Great burgers, reasonably price for the area… Went through a drive-through, kinda? You’ll have to experience it.
People were nice and the food was very good
Best bang for you buck this town has to offer for sure. Tasty yet made fast seems fresh
Great burgers, chicken, shakes, and fries.
Really good food and cute atmosphere just not open enough
Edit: they had the elusive tenders today. I wish they could be available more often.
Consistently disappointing if you go here more than once. Burgers have become nasty, drenched in that runny sauce and mashed into a foil wrapper. Room temp even if you eat in. I’ve sought out the chicken tenders but I’ve only been able to have them once, and they were pretty good. other than that they are “out of chicken tenders”consistently. Despite having grilled chicken wraps available. At a drive in. Doughy fries. At least they keep the CO2 filled up, the sodas are always crisp. McDonalds down by city market is more consistent and tastier
Get the large fries it’s enough for three people
We saw the reviews and decided to try it after a round of golf in grand lake. We ordered 2 orders of chicken strips, a chicken sandwich, 3 orders of fries. The first problem was that they completely forgot our fries. We are staying 15 minutes away and by the time we got home and noticed there were no fries, they were closing. We weren’t going back.
The chicken strips were awful. They were very dry and it seemed like they have been left under a heat lamp all day. The chicken sandwich was literally one chicken strip on a bun with lettuce tomato and onion. Terrible.
Prices are cheap, but the quality of food was bad. Pandemic or not, this place needs to improve.
I am local to Granby, I have eaten at Debbie’s regularly throughout the last couple of years. I have had good experiences and a few bad ones but unfortunately it seems the quality of food has drastically fallen to a new low. I ordered a hot dog, chicken tenders, and fries in the drive thru and this is what I received. The chicken tenders were dry and they forgot all of our sauce, the fries were cold and soggy, and as you can see the hot dog was not edible. I filled out the survey on the receipt and asked for them to reach out and contact me about the order and never heard a response back. If you are looking for some place to eat with your family I wouldn’t suggest here unless your kiddos have shark teeth to eat their hot dog.
Worst service ever…..
17. Slopeside Productions
Address: 31 County Rd, Tabernash, CO 80478 , Granby , Colorado , United States
My son has the best haircuts here. Jesse is so patient, takes his time, makes it a great experience for all.
Best barber in Granby
Jesse does a great job , he takes his time on people hair details . Great person too. Gives you the trust to come back , no mater if you go to other barbers you’ll end up going back to him
It’s an experience!!
The problem with this shop, it’s only for males! Ladies you’ll have to find another salon. So sad for such a nice resort!!
Didn’t get a haircut, barber was arrogant and rude. Instead went to another local barber/salon where the employees were professional and pleasant.
Was unable to get a haircut. Thought we had made an appt but we didn’t fill out the online app the barber uses. Also he requires a credit card deposit apparently before you even get a haircut through this online app. Note that he was doing us a favor since we wanted to get in the next week so I guess it was our fault but we won’t be back. The barber was very rude. He shut the door pretty much in our face before offering another appointment. We went to another local barber/salon where the employees were professional and pleasant.
19. Grand Azteca Mexican Restaurant
Address: 395 E Agate Ave, Granby, CO 80446 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Great food & service. We eat there every time we travel to Granby & their food is always very good.
Clean and neat nicely decorated excellent Mexican food great help and service….
Great Mexican food! Lots of variety and food flavor. Really like the cabbage slaw that they serve with the chips and salsa (ask for it).
Good food and service
Food is great! They also worked with my diet of no corn or flour. Veggie Fajitas awesome. they have a special hot slaw type topping it was amazing. kids loved their food. other adults got the awesome house made margaritas. Only down fall when the door opens and it’s very cold out, you get very cold, just dress warmer for eating there.
Good good.. Good service
Bland food!!
We showed up and the patio was empty and they said it was closed. We ate somewhere else and on our way back now there’s 2 tables of people on the patio.
Asked 3 times if dish came with rice, waiter said yes. Dish came, no rice, asked where was the rice, he asked someone else if it came with rice, they said no, and told me he doesn’t memorize the menu. (Why not ask if you are not sure the first time?) No apology or attempt to make it right. Service seemed rushed and in a hurry to get us out even though they were not busy. Food was mediocre at best. Will not be back.
20. Affordable Music
Address: 104 Village Pl, Dillon, CO 80435 , Granby , Colorado , United States
Fun little record store, plus the carry instruments!
The owner is very sweet! He helped me pick out a capo and I was so grateful that I didn’t have to drive too far from Breckenridge to replace the one I lost. The store is cute and I’m sure I’ll be back with my friends 🙂
Affordable Music has amazing service. I has an amazing selection of music as well as instruments. All of the locals are so nice and so is the owner. They also have two dogs that are so sweet. Anybody that goes there will love it.
Limited selection, average prices
I’ve heard good things about it but I was upstairs at pug Ryan’s bar
Great store, lots of music, plenty of stringed instruments.
Owner is a racist. He harassed my friend for shopping while black , four times AFTER he bought a CD. We went outside and had to show the police his recite.
Great place to shop if you are worried someone is impersonating you. Don’t shop there if you are black, he might call the cops.
Sells broken products. Very expensive.
Terrible customer service. Was out of town for a wedding – asked about return policy and he went on a rant about him being a small business and how he would only give store credit. He was very condescending and unprofessional
