Such a wonderful verity of instruments, and great staff help! When needing repair it is always been done quickly for me,with in a couple days.
I like Erich he is a great teacher. He’s patient and makes the lesson fun and enjoyable. The staff is also very helpful and not pushy. It has been a very good experience.

We drove an hour out of our way to come here because the wife said we could get me a guitar for Christmas, online and on the store sign said they close at 7:00. We showed up at 6:00 and were told they are closing in 5-10 minutes and then announced it over the intercom….we were the only ones in there! Very cruddy experience
I sent my trumpet in for repairs stating “I need my second valve spring replaced and a cleaning”. However, the only thing i received was a cleaning and polish. So now I still have a trumpet with a sticky valve, that I was overcharged for. Would not recommend and not coming back.
I recently purchased a les Paul guitar and amp from this store. The deal was closed on Monday one after a 15%sale at this store. I asked the salesperson if they would grandfather the deal to no avail .No discount 0ffered. Closed the deal at their price. The next day when I picked my equipment ,I told the salesperson that I could have received a discount for the same purchase of 10 from their cometition. The discount would have been $33.00.
His response was then why you come here. No attempt to compete with their competition. now $33.00 is not a lot of money today, but not a good response to a customer. Guess where I will go for my next purchase.

Overpriced sweetwater’s prey. I usually go in once in a month to see used stuff and talk to other players. I buy small things lately because their big stuff is way overpriced. I know what the rent is for that plaza, it’s very cheap so you can blame it on overhead. They are trying to carry the locations that are expensive to maintain I guess. Good luck.

If I could give no stars I would! This company, particularly this location and the manager Jay needs to read the CDC guidelines for COVID again! My husband and I were about to walk in with our masks on and our 6 month old sleeping baby in his car seat connected to his stroller. When the manager Jay stopped us and told us we had to put a mask on our SLEEPING 6 month old baby!!! Stating it was guitar centers “requirements”.
If you read the CDC guidelines It CLEARLY states that NO CHILD under the age of 2 should wear a mask! DUE to suffocation! Luckily my husband and I are aware of this and did not put a mask on our infant like he was requiring us to do but for other parents out there who don’t know this can be DEADLY!

Went to this gc looking for a jeff beck or ultra strat.Waited outside for 15 minutes so no over crowding..we got in, there was one customer? one! They had 2 people working..one guarding the door, the other at the register. You have to have someone hand you an instrument. Waited for the lady at the register for 10 minutes, she said they never had any models I was looking for? They had ultras hanging on the wall?..left clearwater went to Tampa..went inside with about 10 customers. Found a Ultra in 5 seconds. They cleaned it and I played and bought it. To the head mgr at GC clearwater..go to Tampa and learn how customers are taken care of.
Very dissatisfied. We had gone to another business and the employees could have cared less. We decided to take our business to another store. How sad the service was the same here. While I understand our sale would have only been 25 to 50 dollars your store was not busy at all for a Sunday. The employee basically pointed and grunted…over there. Your straps are not marked as to which instrument they will fit. How would I know. Could not get anyone to help us. I decided to order online. Next time you complain client are ordering online rather than coming into the store……this is why! Your loss

When in today to sell some records I understand the economy’s a little low right now But I felt completely insulted on some of the Prices on records that I took in to sell one of the records alone just base average is valued at $50. 1 other record I bought in that store for $34 probably 4 months ago it’s never been played. Those 2 records plus 11 others I was offered $25. Don’t get me wrong I like the store I like the owner I just felt completely insulted by the offer. I haven’t done the full math yet however I’m going to when I get home I just ask that I could get 50% of what the records would be valued at so they had could have a 100% markup. I don’t even know if I was offered 5% completely insulted. I would give 0 stars for what I was offered however I don’t go by just that I’m giving 3 stars because it is a nice store it’s very clean everything’s always in order and pricing is a few dollars more than online but would gladly pay it. To help small buisness just dissapointed. I added 11 of the records up they were willing to basically give me 10% value its 12% that’s going by my program I looked a few others up on webs site they use and I’m not even going to start. One record is worth 75. Again I have nothing negative about the stores inventory, the freiendlyness of staff they are awesome just felt that being a long time customer I’d get offered better, if I go somewhere and get offered the same or close i will gladly update the review. Updated 252 in total missing 1 record value. We will say the last is worth zero for giggles. So that’s less that 10%

Decent little shop. Leans towards new records with a selection of used. Prices are about on par. Unfortunately, I was looking for something specific and the owner/clerk was too busy talking to the regulars to even acknowledge my presence until it was time to take money. With the number of record shops in the vicinity, this is probably not the best strategy.

Not a place for finding collectible records from the 50s and 60s. Small selection of LPs generally in poor condition but priced as if they were better. Has no 45s or EPs. Owner doesn’t respond to email sent via his website or through Facebook messenger. Wasted trip.
We had a great experience here! I was ready to buy my Clavinova online, but decided to give this place a try first. Their offer was $150 less than the lowest online price, and we were able to pick it up two days later. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new piano!
Found them to be the most forthright and honest piano reps we’ve ever dealt with. They committed to and fulfilled every promise made and even a few they didn’t make. Phil is amazing. I have a 1985 Gibson Heritage and I broke the head at the nut. I thought it was a goner. He did a good repair but painted over the Serial number – bummer. I had another electric he did a lot of work but left it unsetup with the neck I had added, way out of wack had to take it to another place to get it fixed. I am sure he does better work than he did for me.
The eyeball luthier. Didn’t measure anything and admitted that. Did the work as I asked but after taking it to another “guitar tech” said the measurements were way off.

BE WEARY OF THIS PLACE! This has easily been the worst guitar set up/modification experience of my life. I had originally chosen 14 West Guitars as I had seen that it had a 5 star rating and when I contacted the owner, he was offering an extremely inexpensive price for a 2 humbucker swap. I brought my guitar to 14 West Guitars BRAND NEW. I had gotten a friend to pick up the guitar for me when it was finished (as I was at work at the time) and I got a call from the owner letting me know that due to him being in a rush, he had forgotten to clean it. This was not a big deal for me, but when I got home to check out the guitar, I was horrified. My guitar looked like it had been thrown off of a moving car. There were dings, scratches, and impressions all over the body (mind you this had been brand new when I brought it in). On top of that, he had WIRED THE WHOLE GUITAR INCORRECTLY! None of the toggle functions/tone and volume knob functions functioned correctly. When I contacted him attempting to receive a refund, he completely seized communication with me and I haven’t heard from him since. For the sake of all other musicians out there, DO NOT BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS TO THIS PLACE! The owner’s work and handling of this situation was completely unprofessional and I have never been more dissatisfied with someone’s services. If you know somewhere that is reputable and does good work, it’s much more worth it to pay the extra dollar, because now I’m paying even more money to have my guitar rewired correctly and to have some of the damage done to my guitar repaired. If I could give 14 West Guitars ZERO STARS, I absolutely would.

Central Organ has been a wonderful company to work with — Tim, and staff, have been so accommodating in helping St. Luke’s get a new organ that fits both our church, and our budget. Their service has been excellent. I would highly recommend them to any organization looking to purchase an organ.
I have worked with Central Music for many years on a variety of projects and they have always delivered a first-rate product. I currently play a Rodgers hybrid at church and enjoy a Johannus Vivaldi at home. I love both instruments. Their customer service has always been first-rate and consistent. I highly recommend this organization.
Owner stood over me questioning about my income. Felt very unwelcoming. She claimed to do a lot of work with the church, but should probably read the Bible again. There are better piano shops where people welcome aspiring musicians…

Jim Terry Music is the best music store in the Tampa Bay area, especially for repairs and that hard to find accessory. His luthier is just that, a trained luthier named Johnny Bravo adept and experienced in all manners of instrument repair and renovation. You can trust what he and owner Jim Terry tell you about any instrument for sale. They will not perform unnecessary repairs. Both are excellenbt musicians, bythe way, and they operate in the way that musicians like to be trfeated in a music store. The srtore is also a bgi supporter of WMNF!

I have been supporting local so I used this store for small parts and decided to have my son take lessons. After the first lesson, Jim goes up to my son who is 11 and says “you don’t have what it takes to play guitar, I’ll save you the money [to me]”. Jim based this on the fact that the paper with his lesson on it was left there after the first lesson. My son practiced for 30 minutes each day and got really good at the previous lessons exercise but Jim decided to shame and put my son down after the first lesson. He is a horrible teacher and should not be interacting with kids. He also told me that my 13 year old daughter “looks good” and should be in some sort of dinner theater. Very creepy. I suggest not to support this store in any way. Beware of Jim Terry Music!

As everyone knows, kids get sick from time to time, families go visit relatives for the holidays, and so forth. We specifically inquired about this issue before registering.
At first, this worked with a one off class missed due to sickness. After being out of town for Christmas break and missing a couple of weeks (which was communicated to the instructor in advance), we accumulated three missed sessions (already paid for in advance, about $100 worth) and are now told you’ll have to make them up in summer, at an Expo day with presumably a different teacher. It’s January. That’s not acceptable. When we asked to merely pro rate the next month, we were rudely told absolutely not. Keep paying full price and make up any classes over summer, presumably with a different teacher. And we were then told this was always the policy. Not true.
The reason given for why no make up classes are available is that the teacher is so booked. You teach children. You should leave several open spaces a week for make up days. I guess you expect sick children to come in and cough all over the instruments in the tiny little rooms you have. After all,

Vinyl records seem inferior to any form of digital recording. Also highly prone to degradation of quality. Value seems to be mostly due to scarceness and cult followings. Of no value to me.

We went to the Music Gallery over the weekend to check the place out because our daughter is scheduled to perform her first recital Friday. The people there are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and more than willing to answer our many questions. I’m not a piano player and Charlie was able to help me understand what I needed to know when it came to choosing the right piano for our home. Our daughter fell in love with one of the baby grand pianos they had on the showroom floor. We purchased the piano on the spot! It was delivered today at the time promised. The delivery guys knew exactly what they were doing and were pleasant to deal with. They were in and out after about ten minutes. Our family is extremely pleased with our entire experience and we are excited to return this evening for our daughter’s recital. We will absolutely recommend The Music Gallery of Clearwater to anyone we know is interested in purchasing a piano!

I’m sure the place is great if you’re buying a piano. It’s just one of those experiences where, if you’re not a dollar sign, you don’t deserve respect type of things. I was just helping my parents sell their old piano because they were moving. So I called around, these guys popped up first in the search. The guy didn’t sound too enthusiastic when I told him I had an old piano to sell. fair enough I suppose. Sent pics and he said not interested, which was fine, no problem there. So I asked if he could recommend me some options. You know what he said? “It’s an old used up piano” No one wants it the cost would exceed the value (which was true yes) Then he proceeds to say “Just the truth”. Like really bro? You had to put it like that so rudely? That could’ve been said a million other ways without having to be condescending. I called another place up and they didn’t want the piano either, the difference was that they were professional, kind and actually gave us some information on where we can donate and even helped setup up a time for a pickup from the donation center. VERY helpful. So my 1 star is directed toward the rude, disrespectful guy who was also condescending to me, just down right rude. He didn’t see profit, so he didn’t feel the need to reciprocate respect. He was just a jerk. Tweeted it to my 300K+ followers and made a Youtube video on my main channel on snobs like this guy. On the plus side, this gave me an idea to create some content on Youtube. The ad revenue I’m going to get is definitely going to exceed the cost of this experience. Worth it.
