This is a musical palace! The place has everything from music lessons to instrument repair items. The music lessons are one on one for a very affordable price. Instructor is very knowledgeable and works with all levels of student experience and skill set.
I think this store is great. They a average and good selection of string and winds instruments at a cheaper price than other music stores. If you want to buy string instruments go to Kirkwood. Also Kirkwood has lower prices for wind instruments than portmans and they have professional repairs.
I originally was a customer of Brunkow’s Music until they closed down. At the time, there was only one other music store that I was familiar with so I began to do business there. I never was completely happy with this particular music store and I have never been a huge fan of business chains. Then, someone told me about Kirkwood’s. I took my flute in to be repaired and was highly satisfied with the work and the turn-around time. A huge bonus and selling point for me was and still is their excellent customer service! Also they are a locally owned business. I no longer take my instrument anywhere else for repairs and handle all of my music needs there. If they don’t have what I need, they never hesitate to order it for me in a timely manner. I have been a Kirkwood’s Music and Repair customer for 7 years now and have yet to have a poor experience.

Terrible customer service. I brought in an instrument just to be looked at to see whether it needed to be repaired or not. The guy looked at it and gave me attitude while calling it a piece of junk and said that he refused to work on it. He wasn’t willing to work with me at all and offered no reason other than it was a piece of junk. He was extremely rude and inconsiderate. I know I don’t have a $5000 instrument, but at least be polite about it instead of insulting me to my face. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Parents of band students/ Renters BEWARE.. still being charged for a bell kit returned in May of 2022! Customer Service Rep states serial number off by ONE digit (ie. 1234567 vs. 1234467) on ONE piece of the instrument and refuses to “accept it” even though they have had the complete kit (confirmed with CSR) in their possession since May. Instrument was sent to my child’s school (where it remained for the duration of the school year) therefore I was not able to, nor was I instructed to, verify serial numbers on all pieces of the bell kit rental. I can only assume it was issued to him this way but honestly, I don’t know.. The customer service here leaves a lot to be desired and one gentleman is just outright rude. I can’t seem to get this issue resolved despite numerous attempts.. no callbacks when promised etc.. etc.. They certainly do not hesitate to take my money every month though, albeit the instrument is no longer in my possession.

I was lied to… basically an older woman who worked for the store and no longer there stated that after I returned my rental a portion of my monthly fee would be refunded or i could rent another instrument… lies… all lies… A younger gentleman who now works in the store did not want to keep the obligation based on the contract.. Been a customer for years. I feel very comfortable everytime I step foot in the classic Portman double doors. But here’s the thing, musicians evolve….musicians learn, and strive to become better everyday. Musicians like new top of the line gear. Portmans just doesn’t cut it for me. If I need equipment, I go through Austin. Unfortunately he doesn’t have the authority to order what he needs. And it’s obvious he and every drummer in town get the respect we deserve, by playing the stuff we want. We want top of the line cymbals. We want sticks that aren’t drift wood…not Zildjian sticks. Let the drum guy….BE THE DRUM GUY.

Never have i been so offended in my life. They refused to give us service because we wouldn’t give them our home address. We went in to drop off an Alto Saxophone for servicing and they asked us for an address. We asked if we were required to give an address, because we do not like solicitation and we do not want to give our personal information to every company we go to. We don’t even know if they have good security for people’s information. The guy at the counter berated us for not giving him our personal information and after we asked him again if it was mandatory, he refused to answer and we left. Sleazy company and the guy at the front deserves to be fired for offending customers. Even the guy who came out of the store before us said that he was really disappointed with the way they treated him.
customer service is horrendous. No wonder why music stores are on the way out.

Kind and helpful each time I’ve visited. They have gone above and beyond to help us with purchases questions and repairs.
BUT, this is a big nationwide company so when it comes to billing questions or issues you have to call thier customer service line and that is always a big hassle in my experience. You can’t update cards and such online, the wait time to speak to anyone has always been 30+ minutes for me and they often give inaccurate information on pricing and/or billing dates.
Honestly, if it wasn’t for the employees in the actual store being so awesome I’d just go through a different company for my child’s band rental, but they really are that good that I’m willing to overlook the corporate problems

This Walmart location is traditionally clean and we’ll stocked. The exterior of building and landscape is exceptional – Walmart could do this at all stores – However, to build in certain “High Income Areas” they are required to do so by zoning

Store wasn’t stocked well…items were advertised one price and rang up a different price. When told of the error, they would not correct the mis advertised item. Beware of this store.
Never enough registers open
This Walmart never has enough registers open, with lines going through various departments. The inventory is rarely accurate through the app. This is probably the worst managed Walmart in the Augusta area.

So I ordered from the kiosk, a burger meal, took my number sat down and waited, manager brings me a tray with burger and fries, I ask where’s my drink she told me to get a cup from the register counter with an attitude like she couldn’t be bothered, I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work.
They make mistakes every time make sure you check your food, if we order a large coke and medium sprite and we get a medium coke and large sprite. You’re usually missing one fry in various sizes. They are very friendly just need to clean up the act of getting orders right!

Amazing customer service and amazing people, will definitely be coming back. They are currently moving to the back of there store but good selection none the less, would recommend for avid guitar players.
I’ve known the owners for years, I used to come in there old location every week before I moved. Its really the only place in Augusta to find cool used trade-ins. Vera is a super sweet lady and Doug is really fair on trades.

I placed an item on layaway and every time I went to make a payment the store was closed. When I requested a refund I was told that they don’t give refunds. I recommend that NO ONE does business with this place. They are both prejudice and scammers!!!
Staff the older gentlemen is not the friendliest and the woman is not too knowledgeable on their products. New location is cleaner than the old one but still stock remains on shelves for a long time and not upkept. A few guitars i played were not tended to. Dead strings and grimey fretboards. Not good
Not shoppable, no defined path. Much of the stock is in cardboard boxes skewed across the store. The owner pays no attention to the customers. Most products have no price labeled on them, but you can’t get the owner’s attention long enough to ask the prices.

Cashier so very friendly around noon today! Great women’s shoe selection, too.
They had a system set up so that you are in and out in the time when dropping off items, some times the store is crowded and I don’t even think about grab and go unless the parking lot is empty.
Getting a little expensive for me to shop there but they have a lot of nice things in there.
I have been coming here for almost 2 years. I truly miss the organization it once had. They’ve hired a bunch of new people who just don’t seem as friendly. I’ve also noticed things being unreasonably priced lately, mainly in the housewares section. A glass jar with rocks in it for $12.21? like seriously? Just one example of many. I would give it 5 stars if those those things weren’t an issue. It’s the best thrift store in the area I can say that for certain.
Store was clean and organized but when I got to the counter tried to pay with Apple Pay and was asked if you have another form of payment because it slows down our system .. Should have signs posted and not offer Apple Pay at goodwill if the payment is going to be denied to use at the counter by the employee because it “slows down the system “ .. never had this issue at Evans ,Martinez or the Peach Orchard goodwill.
This Goodwill is new and clean but is not organized. It’s bad enough that all Goodwill don’t sort by size but this one just throws items on the rack.
They could really make it great with some orginzation.
Ridiculous pricing now. I saw items used listed at brand new prices. I saw multiple items 3x the price of the same item brand new. Used shoes are $45. If you are lucky you might find a deal I’d probably just stick to ebay though.
I am in the process of moving so I was trying to downsize some of my stuff. I took the rest of my belongings to this location (6 bags of clothing, kitchen table/chairs, 2 comforter sets, 2 vacuum cleaners and a bag of shoes). As I was giving the gentleman, Antwan, the third bag, he stopped to say the back was becoming “too full”. I don’t mean to be a burden but I am donated items of value for the less fortunate. I was surprised to say the least by his comment. My boyfriend then made the comment “either they can take the items or he will leave it in the parking lot but it’s not coming back with us”. Antwan then continued taking items while mumbling under his breath.
I am overall displeased with my experience here and hope that Antwan can correct his attitude.

My go to Dunkin since it’s so close. Staff has always been nice and friendly. I usually just order on the app and they have it ready when I arrive. App also has great deals.
I am so glad they built this Dunkin! The staff is always friendly and they make my drinks just the way I like them. This is the best Dunkin in the area hands down!
Thankfully this time the person toasting my bagel asked if it was toasted enough. The cashier was polite and efficient. This visit was more favorable than the last, so I’m glad I tried again.
Ordered 4 containers of coffee. One was medium the other’s small. The order was just fine, but the was watered down to the point it was unidentifiable. It was more water than anything else. Shame on Dunkin for hiring people that don’t know how to make simple coffee. We won’t be returning to this location
The donuts were great, but I’m not sure why they don’t include napkins in the bag when you order as well as having something that goes on between each donut so that they don’t get stuck to each other.

Just left the new store on Wrightsboro Road in Grovetown. At drive-thru I was told their selection was very limited at the time. We discussed and I ordered a dozen assorted with certain specifications. What I got was not what I had requested. The person who filled the order said she didn’t have her headset on when I ordered.So she apparently didn’t know what I wanted. The girl who took the order didn’t communicate to the person filling it as to what I wanted. I took the doughnuts, but really? 12.95 for random doughnuts I didn’t want? First and last time at this location.
