I used DJ RafiSan for an event a few months ago and I was very impressed! He’s professional, courteous and plays a great selection of music. The light show he put on was incredible! I will definitely be using him again in the future. I highly recommend him for your next event.
Absolute professional!! Well prepared
And equipped to play for any event! Rafi and his talent behind the table made Prom 2019 a night our kids will never forget! I would recommend him highly for any event!!
Rafi is a great DJ that keeps the crowd entertained and up dancing the night away! I highly recommend!!

Super friendly service, very clean place with lots of gear avaliable. Also, if you’re looking for a high quality custom acoustic guitar, this is the place to go!
I recently purchased a guitar from these’s folks off of Reverb, and they were sooooo friendly!
9. Music Medix, LLC
Address: 4274 Gray Hwy Suite E, Gray, GA 31032 , Hancock County , Georgia , United States
My son has been learning drums here for about 4 years. He’s been loving it and really enjoys being on stage. My son just added piano lessons to the mix and is looking forward to perfecting his musical skills.
The teachers are all really nice and the environment is very relaxed. Love Music Medix!
My son has been taking guitar lessons from here for 2 years. He has learned so much and had the opportunities to play in front of people often. He has met some great friends! Music Medix has given him the confidence not only to play, but to sing, as well. I would recommend this place for any child wanting to learn music and meet friends while doing it!
My daughter has been taking piano and singing for over a year and now she’s learning the guitar. She loves going to lessons and has been taught so much. Mr Chris is an awesome person and is so wonderful with his students. Highly recommend this place
My son wanted a guitar and learn how to play. Went to see Sam and took some lessons and also bought what we needed there. Great guy and pricing . Go see Sam he can help you with your instrument needs.
Easily the best music store.
We’ll knowledged, very helpful an pleasant. I would recommend Stan’s to everyone I know in the immediate area. Myself an Southern Impactt Band are now loyal customers.
Slightly above average. If Stan’s there, he’s a wonderful storyteller, and man in general. If he’s out and one of his employees is minding the shop, come back another time
Good selection of guitars and accessories. Keyboards – not so much (there were literally 2 on the floor and not the best quality). Should be called “Stan’s Guitar World.”
Even though I was actually looking for a keyboard, guitar prices were decent and I might have bought one if anyone had tried to help me.
I really wanted to ask about equipment rentals as well since I was only in town for a short while, but again, service wasn’t part of the display.
The staff member at the register was so preoccupied in conversation with another customer that I wasn’t even greeted when I came in, and he didn’t even bother with a “come again soon” when I left angry after about 10min of looking around and waiting.
This is the reason people skip over local small businesses to shop at national chains – like that “other” guitar store
If Stan is not there, dont bother. Just go home.

These guys are awesome! They always go above and beyond to find what we need.
Great store!! Doug and Joey are great folks and very helpful.
The workers have great personality and always try to make a way to fix any issues with instruments! In fact, one of the workers got me into playing ukulele and now I’m addicted!
I come here for instrument repairs. I’m a professional musician that need his instrument asap. Mark at this location always fixes my sax perfectly. I’m going for a repad in the next two weeks
Very friendly staff. They make you understand about the different instruments if you have no knowledge about it.
Chad was very helpful.
I had been going in the store for music lessons for boys and now it is on the way home from work.. I paid almost $60 for a microphone and a piece that connects it to the speaker. I like support mom and pop shops. The microphone did not work. When I tried to switch it with the same sales person I bought it from 3days before. He remember me and accuse me of damaging it and lying about it. He pulled it up and it did not work. Instead of apologizing he said if the new one broke I could not bring it back. I told he did not need to worry because I would not be back to that store. I went to speak to the owner and she ask him to apologize which he could not do and I told her it was okay and not necessary because I would not be back. I guess next time I will order it off online and pay 1/3 the price and not get such horrible treatment.
My music teacher wants me to have a metronome. Went in looking for a metronome. They didn’t have any, which was odd for a music store, but I wasn’t upset about it. On my way out, another associate clarified that they don’t carry metronomes because most people simply use their phones; totally reasonable. I clarified that I prefer a physical metronome, and I’d look somewhere else. The associate then told me that “professionals and real musicians use the app” and undermined my preference for a physical one. “The customer is always right” is not a maxim held by Jackson’s music. They assert that they know best, and in my experience come across as somewhat unhelpful and arrogant.
I can say with confidence that the Band and Orchestra repair shop and some really great Teachers are the ONLY REASON to give this company any of your money. You can trust your brass repairs to be flawless. Those are the only positive comments have.
Great Athens business that is always worth the visit. The staff and owner have been giving great service for decades and they still have it. I had a problem with an item I was purchasing and Ed the owner personally came in to take care of the problem. I really appreciate the team here that support the music scene in Athens. Thanks again.
Great selection of string instruments and great employees
My son was looking for a bass. He found it here. The store has a great inventory that allowed him to see what would work best for him. Easy to work with. Great staff Highly recommend. Update 2/15/2022. Ed and crew are still giving great service and reasonable deals. Just traded for a hard to find in person Acoustasonic. They had 3 or 4 to choose from. They are well stocked for a small ” Mom and Pop” operation. Check them out,
Professional assistance provided.
Could be a little more organized. Drum area needs more open space. And more displayed of items. Seems pretty congested.
Pretty good shop if you are in Athens. Much better selection of gear than their competitors in the area.
Poor selection. If you like grandpa guitars this is the place. Wouldnt recomend to any modern guitar players.
Really wanted to like this company. I was cheated and conned, and after a week with zero communication I contacted them. They fumbled around for another day or two then stated they couldn’t find the item. I was left empty handed and confused. No attempt at finding the item or ordering another. Nothing. Zip. C’mon guys!
Dude I’m not sure what happened. The first floor is desolate (empty for everybody that’s currently reading this while dunk). I understand social distancing, but I’m I am attending Warehouse, I do not care about the current situation, I’m here to rave. Open the first floor for a mosh pit.

Courteous and knowledgeable, a great resource for any level and any breed of musician <3
Love this store, and for brass and woodwind instruments and accessories.
I wouldn’t say it’s the most amazing selection, but the staff are quite nice and the prices aren’t terrible. Descent local music shop
I have been there years ago.
The staff and employee was good but the guiter instructor was so bad old white men. For my experience, one day i wanted tell him I want to quick. And I said that. And then he walks around us and said to me ” I am a good teacher…” I have right to quit my lesson and he do not have right to treared me. It was so bad happen and I very frastrate that he still there.
Looked great for a right handed player… but lefties shouldn’t even waste their time unless you want a $100 starter…
They charged us for saxophone lessons during the holidays, when we said we wouldn’t be there. They refused to give us credit or money back. This store never has a manager to speak to and there is no communication when it comes to music lessons.
It was not easy to work with them to accomplish what I wanted. As a musician for 20 years, I was looking for a place to get some music equipment. Though the staff were friendly, their policies were not.
I was miffed when they could not get the item I wanted, then they said I would not be able to turn in the gift card for cash. This was disappointing to me. It does not speak well of customer service or helpfulness toward the customers goals.
If you’re looking for solutions regarding stringed instruments, I would recommend a local violin shop around the Atlanta area instead of the chain approach here. Or try to find what you want online.

I have known the owner’s family since 6 or 7 years old.. musically I would always suggest anyone to see Mr. Billy Ray for anything!!
His soul has been deeply invested in music since I before I even met them and I am getting old!!
Music & art run thru their veins in the most genuine of ways!!
The best music store in town also pretty much the only one if you want to know anything about Gram Parsons or Artisan guitars definitely going to check it out
Very nice very helpful
Very small shop has a large selection of guitars and amps not much in other musical instruments not a whole lot in books to learn how to play nothing in the line of piano lesson books or keyboard looked like nice selection of guitar strings and picks staff was friendly Just not a big store.
Had to return vapes 3xs

Paulie went over and beyond helping me today. He was super knowledgeable and patient in store, and also when I called later from home with a question!
Great place is to gear
Buen lugar para comprar nuevo y usado
This is the best place to buy used gear that I have found. I’ve been shopping here since 2009 when they were over in Lilburn, and having said that, I’ve encountered some issues recently. A couple of years ago, I bought a 1999 MIJ Ibanez 7 string for $600 from them. Nice guitar, but recently, my daughter decided to take up drums, so I brought the Ibanez back to get store credit since they take trades, and they offered $300 cash/$325 trade, which seemed low so I sold it the very next day for $750. I came back with the money to buy an electric drum kit, and picked one out. It didn’t have a power supply, but they located one that would work, only to find that the kit was dead, wouldn’t even turn on. So how did it get out on the floor? I picked out another one that said on the tag it had a power supply, but they couldn’t find it and after a long while of searching through various cords they found one that would work, but considering the dead kit and the missing power supply it took a lot longer than you’d think. They seem more disorganized and at times overwhelmed compared to what I’ve experienced in the past, and compared to previous trade in experiences, they seem to be offering less than they used to. Still a great music store though.
I would have rated five, but they aren’t buying passive speakers, and I have some to sell
If you have any old musical equipment that you’re trying to get rid of or even any new equipment you have in mind that you may need this is the spot to go too! Maaaaan when I walked in all you can say is “wow” check it out!
Went in today to buy a few picks around 12 this afternoon. After grabbing a few, I went to pay for them. The guy in front of me just bought an amp and left to get his car to load his equipment up. I was standing there waiting to pay for my stuff and the guy behind the counter (without even acknowledging me) just walked away. I can’t imagine he didn’t see me. I’ve shopped there off and on for years and I never go out of my way to leave bad reviews, but this place earned it. I teach guitar and used this place for books, picks, and other things. I’m very understanding towards employees in retail and usually won’t make an issue out of most things. But, I was completely ignored and I won’t refer my students to ever go to this place to pick up anything they may need.
If I could give no stars, I would. My daughter found a violin ONLINE that she called this store and asked about. A friend of mine wanted to purchase it with his credit card and have it shipped as a gift to my daughter in Kansas. They refused to let him purchase it with his credit card and ship it somewhere besides his billing address. He called them, and I thought maybe he was just coming across harshly; therefore, I called them. I spoke to Josh (I think that was his name). He told me that they had someone arrested just last week for fraud, and shipping it out somewhere besides the billing address is a “red flag.” Really?? I asked to speak to a manager, and he said that they “manage themselves.” Interesting. I apologized that I would not be purchasing the violin from them, and his response? “We’ll survive.” All I can say is that my daughter’s violin won’t come from this place, nor will I recommend this place. You have products online, people. It is Christmas. They aren’t going to want to purchase something that they can’t ship to someone out of State. You’ll survive, though.
Also, just so the owner is also aware, Josh basically told my friend who planned to by the violin that he would like to have the conversation with my friend in Duluth, GA, and accused him of trying to pull a fast one on him. Over a violin? C’mon! He asked to speak to the owner, and Josh told him he would have to email the owner When my friend told him he was calling from Houston, he hung up on him.
I don’t think training is going to change the cocky attitude.
I’d give less than one star if it were an option. Upon looking online I found a wireless guitar system I wanted to purchase but also check out prior to such. I called the store & was told YES they had the item in stock. It’s a bit of a long drive for me to their location. I drove all the way out there & when I walked through the door I’m greeted by an employee who appeared a bit disoriented acting. Nevertheless, I informed him I was there to check out the wireless guitar system I called about. The employee looked the item up & confirmed it being there … then he began walking around the store looking for it. (Kinda odd u wouldn’t assign items such as this a general location) perhaps near the guitar pedals. So after about 5 mins of him wandering around the store I’m told he can’t find the item. I explain I called & drove a bit of distance specifically for this item (I was also looking at a high priced guitar) The employee begins wandering around the store joking around with other employees but ultimately no real effort to locate the item I came for was made as well as no apologies given for not having the item after I was told they must’ve lost it.
This also tells me if I were to purchase this item online they’d not be able to accommodate my purchase. As I searched the store myself a couple of friendly customers engaged with me in chat.
I also noticed anytime a customer wanted to try out a guitar the employees would play the instrument more so than the customer asking to try it out. Meaning the employees would take an instrument off the rack someone wants to play & rather than hand it to them right away they play their entire musical catalogs it appears. So as a dissatisfied customer there was absolutely no apologies for the mistake they made of not having the item in stock nor was there even a remote attempt to satisfy a displeased customer. For example – we are sorry u drove all this way for an item we assured u was in stock but unfortunately there was miscommunication on our part so to accommodate we will take a percentage off any purchase u like to make up for our error. That would be providing customer service. Something the employees need to learn apparently as opposed to trying to show off on the instruments they’re attempting to sell.
U lost a couple thousand dollars sell today because of this. I had planned to purchase a Gibson with the wireless guitar system. I won’t ever return because of this experience & inform others to do business elsewhere because ultimately u are clueless to ur inventory.

Always pleasant staff working. Never a bad visit. They go above and beyond to help customers. I was able to order stick from another location thanks to Kelly!
#truereview store looks out of place considering its location.. walk in and you will live the layout and awesome folks there to help.
I brought my daughter here to see about getting the lower half of her clarinet fixed. The two gentleman working were very helpful and professional. We left our clarinet there to get sent off for repairs and while we wait we got a rental clarinet. The process was headache free and quick!
It had what I needed, so that was good. However, the staff seemed like they would’ve loved to be anywhere but at work.
