I had a few guitars setup at Hazard Sound. They both play perfectly and came back super clean! Highly recommended!
Hazard Sound is a cool and unique local repair shop with great vibes, super genuine and hardworking owner that does great work. And extra points for location. Love It!
Jon is easy to work with and keeps you informed throughout the process with anything he finds during setup.
3. Jazzmen Music And Gallery
Address: 450 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
Ryan is amazing. We bought our piano 1 year ago and we use it every day. It’s beautifully restored, plays well, and has become a centerpiece for our family. Ryan is responsive and helpful any time you have an issue with the piano. Best experience ever!
My boys outgrew their old piano and I was looking for a used piano to fit their needs. Ryan didn’t have any fit them at that moment but he gave me lots of suggestions on hunting for a used piano. I sent videos to him of the pianos I found and he gave me professional options. We finally found a piano that within our budget but with some issues, we bought it with Ryan’s assurance that it’s fixable. A month later after the piano settled in our house we asked Ryan to come over regulating the piano. He did a fabulous job and gave the piano a new life. My boys used to hate play on it because the piano gave all kinds of weird sound, peddles didn’t work properly and sticky keys. Ryan fixed all of them and they now love it! Great service and very reasonable price!
I would just like to add yet another praising review for Jazzmen. We were looking to buy a used piano for my son and were totally newbies at picking out one for quality and still needing help with delivery and service.
We stumbled upon Jazzmen purely by accident, (story for another time), and Ryan was in the middle of a personal party as it was a Sunday. Instead of following the template of 90% of other Connecticut businesses and telling us to piss off, he stopped what he was doing and graciously showed s what turned out to be my son’s dream piano.
Ryan kept us up to date over the next week via texts and delivered right on time to my front door. He tuned it and even threw in a free stool which he said he had acquired by chance that week. It got a little out of tune from its being tuned after all the years and the moving, and guess who was more than happy to show up and give it a tweak. RYAN.
BUY FROM HIM. He’s awesome.
4. Matty’s Music LLC
Address: 654 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
I was looking for music classes for our daughter and somebody had recommended Matty’s music. I gave them a call and got the owner on the phone. He was so nice he explained everything, so knowledgeable, and we set up a time to bring in my daughter. I’ll be very honest when I first saw the place I was hesitant but don’t judge a book by its cover! Maddie is so great! He gives the kids a safe space to be themselves while learning all about music and reading and playing, and it has quickly become such a special place to our daughter that now she’s brought her friends there and they too have found the absolute warmth and amazing place that Matty has here in town. Also the prices he charges are unbelievably fair.
Good spot
Matty’s Music is top notch!!!Matt is an excellent guy very knowledgeable anything about music any instruments he is a master musician excellent customer service I give them 10 stars but I can only give 5. Highly recommend Maddie’s music for any of your musician needs
Great service.

5. This Old Piano tm
Address: 450 Enfield St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
Forget about those other so-Called piano tuners.
This is “THE MAN” for the job.
Not only did he “PERFECTLY” tune my piano, but tweaked it to perfection. Made my “1890” old piano sound brand new. I highly recommend this guy for any restoration and tuning.
Izzy Flores
Highly recommend! Ryan is top notch and always gets our studio piano at Sage Sound Studios sounding great! He is very knowledgable, and accommodating.
This is a great place. I had an opportunity to play there. Great brands, high level instruments, great service. Visit this place. It is really worth.
Ryan is a well experienced technician and provides great service
6. The Stu 860
Address: 88 Pearl St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
Dan helped me find what I needed to update my A/V hook ups for my N64, helped me grab a hard to find PS1 game, and the prices were more reasonable than eBay or hunting them down on social media or other sales apps! Their selection is varied and just have to ask if you down see what you want, their other stores are networked so they most likely have it if the store you’re at doesn’t!
Clean, well-organized store with at least a little bit of everything, more of some! Dan and Michael were great help answering any questions we had and much knowledge about the different video games and consoles!
Had so much stock. Superior to game stop!
Nice selection of old and new games. Great customer service.
Nice place for older electronics, games, movies, and collectables. I haven’t sold or traded anything in to Game X Change yet, so my review is only based on my shopping experience there. From the second I walk in, the staff is friendly and greets me, and asks if they can help. Usually, I’m just there to browse Sega Genesis and Atari 2600 games. Their selection can be lacking at times for Genesis though. The vast majority here are the sports games that you would find anywhere, but I know they are at the mercy of what the local trade-ins bring in. The store is otherwise a pretty well-rounded selection of games, accessories, and pop-culture merch. I’ve also found some great deals. I’ve gotten some games for less than the going rate in the retro market, which I always appreciate. I’m glad to have this store in Enfield, and I’ll keep coming back.
Full selection of awesome games, collectables and more.
If you haven’t been you should go check it out
Brought in a good amount of items including a couple movies from a couple years ago an was told that it was junk.
The store itself was decent. It was much tidier than other Game X’s I have been to. The issue with my recent visit was the potent smell of body odor wafting off of one of the male employees. At first, I assumed it must be a customer; however, it was soon apparent that the guy behind the counter was the offender. The smell hit me as soon as I walked into the store. I went with a friend, and the first thing he said when we exited was how offensive the body odor was. You could smell it throughout the entire store. I hope the other employees share with their coworkers that showing up to work smelling as if you haven’t washed in days is not professional. I understand that not everyone has access to amenities at home, and I hope the business owner can help this young man wash his clothing and bath if he is having difficulty doing so. He said he was 20 years old, so I am hoping he like many teenagers, just hasn’t realized how stinky a young man can get.
So, this store was a good place to visit whenever I was getting groceries at the nearby Stop & Shop, where I occasionally bought a video game or poster, and more often recently, Magic: The Gathering cards.
…At least until a couple months ago, when suddenly the manager came in and asked me to leave, saying I was no longer welcome there, claiming multiple reports of me being rude and/or creepy to other people in the store.
This came completely out of left field to me. Sure, I had frequently talked with others in the store, but I thought those were always friendly conversations, and I’d sometimes even help them with things. And not once, ever, did I get warned that I was doing anything inappropriate or unwanted at any point.
So, now suddenly I have a lifetime ban from the store without any prior warning whatsoever, and no chance to possibly amend my behavior if I accidentally was being rude or creepy somehow? This is unacceptable. And this leaves me feeling awful, especially whenever I’m in the general area, like if I’m just doing errands at the nearby Stop & Shop.
I even tried to talk again with the manager again today, but she was just so stern and intimidating, and threatened to call the police on me, without giving me any real chance to defend myself and explain my case. Unfortunately, because of this atrocity, and the fact that I can no longer shop there for anything ever again, I must give this store a bad review score.
8. Barnes & Noble
Address: Enfield Commons, 25 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
It’s hard to beat anything better than browsing for books. Love this place.
Anytime i see a Barnes & Nobles i jave to stop in to see what they have.
Loved this place, the store as well the one in Holyoke, ma.
Great service, very helpful staff wtih knowledge of the locations of many books and items in the store
One of my favorite stores. So nice to grab a coffee and browse around.
Pretty standard Barns and Nobel. Has a coffee shop with snacks inside.
They never have the book I want
Fantastic service manager helpful
Thats why 2 stars instead of one
I understand it’s black Friday but don’t yawn loudly
I undersramd you been up since early but yawn quietly.
NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR YOU YAWN
WERE ALL TIRED YAWN QUIETLY OR GO AWAY
Good reason why Nooks and Amazon are winning the retail wars.
9. Windsor Music Centre
Address: 95 Poquonock Ave, Windsor, CT 06095 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
The owners are amazing and so helpful. Such a small town store with a wide variety of instruments. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!
Great people and Gene is an amazing guitarist & teacher!
Nice guy and great service so far!
It’s okay.
Rented a violin during 2012/2013 school year. Throughout the school year violin needed numerous repairs, therefore, I did not rent from them the following school year. Low and behold as reviewing my bank statements I noted a monthly charge from them. Upon calling and speaking with “Joe” I was told that even though the violin was never returned to me after the last repair, I did not officially return the violin. and the charges can not be or won’t be refunded. Duly note that the violin is and has been with them since June of 2013 and the owner acknowledged this fact. I now know why they were not listed as a rental place by the school system. I would never buy from them again or refer any business their way.
terrible repairment
My grandma brought two ukuleles here to be repaired before she passed away. They were from the 1940s and held a lot of sentimental value for me, as they were the first instrument I ever learned to play on. After she passed away, a family member went to retrieve them and the store conveniently had “no record” of them. Scammers and low lifes.
10. Music & Arts
Address: 378 Kelly Rd, Vernon, CT 06066 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
Went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago with my teen daughter to purchase a violin. The customer service we received was top notch. We were treated so well and able to purchase a violin. I can’t remember his name, but the employee answered all of our questions and helped us to pick out the right shoulder strap for our budget and experience level.
He told us she could take violin lessons at the store on Wednesdays which was pretty cool and unexpected. My daughter signed up for a few lessons and had her first one with the instructor, Kaitlyn, yesterday. She loved the experience and said Kaitlyn was incredibly patient and helped her to feel at ease. I would highly recommend this store based on our customer service experience.
We had a great rental experience!
Small space but with limited music supply stores in the area it’s good to see places like this still up
This store is a good place to get music books for several instruments especially classical instruments that you can’t find many stores for. I have a violin and go here occasionally to buy books for cool songs. 🙂
I had a dispute regarding an instrument repair. The tech did a great job with the repair, but there was a miscommunication with the store concerning the scope of work to be performed. Jed Weeks at corporate resolved the issue with speed and grace.
The in-store representatives are great and nice. But I am very much disappointed with the customer service representative and the supervisors. All of them showed rude behavior. I signed up for 10 months contract and during Covid situation there was delay in returning the instrument to the store at the end of contract period. But Music and Arts still charged me for 2 months on higher cost. Way above my 10 months contract. When I called the customer service, they were very rude and not showing any flexibility and care for customers. I wanted to do business with them for the next school year. But with these behaviors I will NEVER do business with them. I could not find anything lower than 1 star rating…
All they need is customers’ money… No care for customers… even in this COVID situations…
11. McDonald’s
Address: 585 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
This mcdonalds is the best one around. They get orders corrct way more than average, are fast (shocking but some fast food places are slow), drive thru and even inside I havnt had issues.
Great experience. Fresh food and pleasant staff!
Went through drive up window. Very fast polite employees. Food was good Mcnuggets w/ chocolate shake
Friendly staff and they make big vanilla soft serves!
Not happy about every other time that I go to have my egg mcmuffins on my day off I need to tell the staff to make them fresh or the English muffin is hard as a rock & the eggs are mushy & cold. If the staff wasn’t so friendly & or gave me a hard time about making me a new one’s. I would of gave 2 stars. 4 stars for the smiley friendly employees
The food was good. But they got our order wrong.
Fries where too salty, and they were just standing around talking. They where talking about other employees and the bathroom toilet was clogged and it was nasty.
Garbage
Waiting in line for 30 min food was cold need more help for there staff!
12. Redbox
Address: 47 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
The store itself is very well laid out, well kept, and super clear every time I’ve been. They also have a good selection here which is awesome. Donation wise you pull around on the building’s left. It’s really easy to do and is covered which has been helpful before to donate in any kind of weather. Overall this is an excellent location.
GREAT!!STORE NICE SALES HELP .
I ALWAYS FINE GREAT STUFF! I STOP IN 3 TO 4 TIMES WEEKLY..
This is by far the best Good Will store Ive ever visited. I always come away with something. And its clean.
I was visiting the area and found some really cool things. Always fun to visit a new thrift shop!
Great place but to expensive for a goodwill.
Really overpriced for a thrift store
Too expensive. $30 for a Walmart brand kids used coat?
So overpriced. Very unfortunate to walk into a “charitable ” establishment and see used clothing for these prices. Costs less to buy new.
Place will rip you off big time! It doesnt matter what their mission is, these store gets things for free and should pass the savings on to other people and not gouge people on pricing. Google “are goodwill store prices high” and you’ll find out that yes! they are. You can literally find things cheaper new and used online. Unbelievable buisness ethics.
14. Redbox
Address: 40 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
Great studio and great staff. Deb, the owner, is great with the kids!
Great hip-hop class! Daughter really enjoys it.
Deb and the staff at Dance Amore are totally committed to a dance family. My daughter started dancing when she was two years old and, since then, has moved to the competition team and assisting with younger, recreation classes. My other daughter is in her fifth year of piano lessons. Through the years, Deb has taken a genuine interest in al aspects of our family and proudly displays Christmas cards and school portraits in her office. As a mom herself, she understands that families each have differing goals and availability for involvement. Her class offerings, business philosophy, and teaching ethic represent a respect for everyone. There are many good dance schools in Enfield, but Deb and her staff have created something very special.
16. Charter Oak Acoustic Devices
Address: 49 Pearl St, Enfield, CT 06082 , Hazardville , Connecticut , United States
I recently purchased a TV from this location and the staff was incredibly helpful and even matched the price of a competitor.
Had what I needed. Great service.
Good price, good customer service
Pricey consumer electronics
I came here with my mom to return a modem for internet. The store is big inside. It sells all kinds of electronics like washer, dryers, video games, consoles like Xbox ps4, Nintendo, cell phones, tvs, radios for your car, speakers, ect. The parking lot is big with handicap parking and handicap accessible entrance. The employees were nice and friendly.
Smaller than most Best Buy’s but very convenient.
Did not have what I wanted #dji spark
Best buy has the worst customer service. Not blaming this store its the company. There is no one to even complain to they just fully shut you out its either buy something or bye bye
