Not only do they do fantastic work , some of the nicest people you’d ever meet!
Innovative awesome guitars made by great people!
We went yesterday and had the most wonderful experience with these guys. My grandson needed a cable to go with a borrowed amp and guitar. This place doesn’t sell accessories but the scrambled and got him a cable and tuner. They wouldn’t let us pay for them. They really talked to Damon and we’re both so nice. If you need or want a guitar this is the place I would recommend. Thank so much guys.
Onlinne says its open front door locked no one answers phone. Bad service
2. Happy Tunes Music & Hobbies
Address: 24028 FL-54, Lutz, FL 33559 , High Point , Florida , United States
Went to happy tunes guitar today. Got some new stings and decided to have them clean and restring my electric guitar. Marsha did a phenomenal job! It looks brand new like the day I bought it off the shelf! Was so throughly impressed with her craftsmanship! I highly recommend this store! It exceeded all expectations. Not everyone gets to hold your guitar. But you happy tunes I trust!
Nice convenient family owned business with a good variety
Local lessons by knowledgeable staff. Was a super cramped placed a lesson room seems small. The amount of instruments on the wall was very good, very nice selection. We came for a repair and it was a quick drop off with no issues. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the restroom. So gross and no soap.
Over priced but nice people
Rude….should be shut down due to how they treat customers.
We have been talking my boys to happy tunes music for about four months now. I work nights so I couldn’t go to most of the lessons but the couple times I would get to go with I would leave saying I really don’t like the way Marsha is with my 6 year old. I felt she was harsh with him but my husband said she was fine. Well this past week during a piano lesson my 6 year old put his head on the piano and she didn’t like it so she pulled him up by his hair. We will never take our children back to happy tunes music. I just wonder what she could have done while my husband was checking on my oldest. Keep your children safe. Don’t go there ever.
I wish I could have given less then 1 star.
Just saw a facebook post where a dear friend and his young son came into this place and were treated poorly. From being watched, to being told that all the drums sticks were the same as to say “You don’t have to look at all of them” Trent is a musical prodigy and to say all drumsticks are the same means you are not qualified for this job because we know better. And to also tell him to not allow his son touch anything as to imply that he would is just downright trifling. Whoever this lady is whether an employee or owner, your customer service is A1 trash.
3. Dark Horse Music Store
Address: 105 S Collins St, Plant City, FL 33563 , High Point , Florida , United States
I did not go in person, but I bought a used DJ controller off of them on Reverb. Unfortunately, the item was damaged during shipping, but that is entirely out of the seller’s control. They were really responsive and easy to work with to get the issue resolved.
Amazing place went there for the first time to buy a new guitar yesterday and I was shocked to see all the amazing guitars there. and I will be back I’m going to tell all my friends about the place to see if they want to go
It’s good what can I say there’s always somthing in there to do or see
Wasn’t at all like the pictures online. Only a handful of guitars, some cables, strings, and picks. They did say they were going through a remodel but it looked like it was more geared to other art and not so much music. The staff on hand were very friendly though.
Friendly and helpful staff… take music lessons, the store has music and equipment
I drove two and half hours to support a small business only to realize they had the wrong listing on their site. I called before I left to make sure they had it. The owner was very rude and tried to sell me a used floor model for over what the listing was. Amazon is not the problem its small business owners not caring to connect with customers.
First off someone has been deleting any negative reviews here. Second I was very dissatisfied with their knowledge and the instruments I purchased to put it in a simple statement I basically got ripped off by them. I would not recommend them under any circumstances. I have been a musician for over 40 years this is the only music store that I have ever put a negative review on that should be telling you something there. They do not have the knowledge needed to do any repairs a good chunk of their instruments or substandard they are also selling instruments new that are actually shop seconds in other words stuff that could be sold normally as new because of manufacturer problems. And if you happen to get one of these you’re tough out of luck and that was exactly what happened with me I have been majorly screwed over by this store and I’m speaking this from a very experienced musician
currently in dispute with them over music lessons, and billing. My wife had to threaten with criminal fraud charges to get a call back from the manager. They picked up and moved in the middle of the night from one side of town to the other no notice not sign in window just gone. I did not find out till several weeks later what the new address was when they TEXT me about changing the lesson time.
The manager in talking with my wife said we show her signed in 6 times in January, she only went on Tuesdays and last i check there was only 4 in the month, so he is confused or some one is bad at book keeping.
4. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 13300 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613 , High Point , Florida , United States
It’s a little dirty at times. We haven’t been to this Walmart in about a year and a half, we just moved back to the area, and it’s still somewhat dirty. The updated front area is really nice though for the pickup.
It is Friday morning and a lot of the grocery and dairy shelves were empty. No butter, half and half milk. Very disappointing.
Prices are going up
As usual not enough cashier’s open. Not using the self checkout, I won’t put someone out of a job, besides I already have to unload and then put my groceries back in the buggy. Amazon and Publix will be getting my business.
Customer service is horrible!! Won’t take the time to listen to complaints, just wanna rush you off. Would much rather go to Public or Winn-Dixie, even if it is a little more expensive.
No registers open and only half of the self checkouts are open. Horrible place.
5. Music Store inc
Address: 141 S Highway 27 Building 159, Citrus Tower Blvd Center, Clermont, FL 34711 , High Point , Florida , United States
I really enjoyed my experience shopping here! My friend and I were looking into guitars and we had great variety, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We didn’t expect to purchase anything but we found exactly what we wanted and more here at The Music Store. I will definitely recommend this store to my friends in the future.
Yes, I also posted this review on Yelp, but I wanted to post it here on Google so more could see what a quality time we had here!
Helpful in finding what I needed. Glad to have a local music store still doing business for the local musicians and more.
Left them guitar to glue the neck, the estimation was way above market, that’s OK. I’ve decided to go to other store but during pick up I found scratches here and there. Lucky me-made a video when I did bring a guitar the 1st time. I am just disappointed- waste a month and no result. They did polish and removed scratches (not all as I found out in another store). Not a bad store with various instruments new and used, I even bought a bass, but I do not trust their guitar master. Rick is a good guy but the master is a 3rd party that occasionally appears and takes guitars home, where I guess and damage mine.
Helpful, knowledgeable, affordable
Rick was warm & friendly & it seems to have a nice stock of instruments. Tucked in the corner of the Staples building so it’s easy to drive right by without seeing it. Very little sheet music for vocalists so if that’s what your looking for don’t bother. They have an open mic night every 1st Saturday so I will come to one & see what it’s like.
I dropped off my instruments for a tuneup. I was quoted $280 and I said of course! Never had a problem until I went to pick them up! Two individuals whom I’ve never seen before were at the counter. My instruments were sitting aside ready for pickup. I told the man who asked how much I was charged $280. He goes to the back, gets someone else and she never addresses me but questions him in obvious skepticism $280 for all of this? She proceeds to go in the back, as if she’s out of range of my hearing, to call the owner and verify if I was telling the truth. Why would I lie? $280 is not a little bit. Then she proceeds to say we just wanted to make sure because we weren’t told. I should have been able to come in with my tickets, ID, and money and pick up my instruments! Not have to wait because of whatever PREJUDICE these people feel! That exchange alone is why I’ll NEVER return here! I’ll pay whatever for my instruments.
Edit–Response:
Rick B.,
You are correct–you were NOT there. I am aware that you are the owner and as the owner you FAILED to communicate with your employees. Either way, there were failures through no fault of my own. I shared MY experience, which you were not present for and you have ADMITTED was your fault. SHAME ON YOU! This ought to be a learning lesson in communication so that these FAILURES do not happen again in the future! DO BETTER!
OUT OF BUSINESS!!!Waste of time!!! Drove over an hour only to find out that there is No Music Store. I called the owner who seemed nice enough, but that doesn’t pay for the price of gas that I wasted looking for something that doesn’t exist (over two hours round trip) Change your google information about your “store “ and let people know that you are no longer in business. I will never be a customer of someone who has no regard for the value his customers time. Let people know that you are OUT OF BUSINESS
Their pricing is ridiculous. $250 for a used Ibanez acoustic that’s missing the electronics? That guitar sells for $350 brand new!! Also, after reading the reviews, I would bet $100 that most of the 5 star reviews were made up by the owner. Absolutely pathetic.
6. 1STOP Clarinet & Sax Shop
Address: 20154 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34601 , High Point , Florida , United States
I’m given this place a FIVE STAR because of two reasons: The TWO people that gave it a ONE STAR for the most petty reasons. For a store to be closed when you arrive probably doesn’t happen all the time, that’s life. Also the one about the shipping charges, read the order info closer next time. It wasn’t fair to give this Music Store those low ratings for petty issues as those.
Y not”.Luv iiT;). Lolzzzz
Google’s information indicated this seller advertised the item I wanted with no tax or shipping charges. I placed the order to find on the last screen that they had added shipping and there was no way to back out of the order. Several E-mails to the seller went unanswered. The item took 2 weeks to arrive (way to long in my opinion). Checking out the packaging – I noticed they charged me almost twice the actual charges they paid to send it.
Please do not call this number they give you….. IT IS MINE and for years now I’ve gotten dozens of not 100s of calls for this place and sadly I cannot help anyone
