Good store and they are helpful, the techs have been excellent. There seems to be a renewed atmosphere in the store. I actually had some one greet me as I entered. I love the selection of percussion instruments. Guitars run the gambit of styles and prices. Fender dealer, Martins, Gretch, Ovation, and any Ukulele you might need.
Their percussion items inventory was down but I got quick friendly service.
Dropped $180.00 in cables and accessories and punk behind the counter told me that their bathrooms aren’t for the public and I should take a leak in the Alley…..I’ll drive an extra 120 minutes to Guitar Center before I shop here again. Wow unbelievable!!!

You might want to keep masks at the door if you require customers to have them. You just lost $1000 sale for not having that box up there. Not to mention the other thousands a year I spent at your store that I’ll be spending at musicians friend.

Do not pick out an instrument on their so called rent to own plan if you are picky about that exact instrument They were supposed to fix a sticky tenon and instead gave my daughter a diff instrument that she disliked. I tried to get a response via email and they did not get back to me so I called and was told that I could not get back the original. I was contacted by the store after much hassle and then spoken to like a non musician and given back the flute without them doing anything about the sticky tenon! Only go here if you are wanting to try beginner instruments!
I went in looking to switch from viola to cello. Paul was super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an instrument.
I’ve had a few dealings with this establishment over the past 10 years and overall am not very happy. The first time, I had them refurbish my wife’s mid-level flute, which I believe they contracted out to another location in the FL panhandle. The service rendered it playable again, but the technician scratched the silver in a few places. More recently we rented a French horn from them for my son. After a year, they would aggressively solicit us by phone and text to upgrade the rental to a nicer horn (at a rate of over $150/month). They continuously addressed me by the wrong surname and/or salutation even after I offered corrections. Furthermore, they mislead my wife and I about the credit we would acquire through rental towards the potential purchase of an instrument. This benefit is extremely limited and restrictive! The guys working in the shop were nice and helpful, so I have to believe that all of this is really an issue with management/ownership. That said, I can’t recommend them as a good music store.
Update: Thank you for your response. Just to clarify, I understand the cost of these instruments quite well. My wife and I just do not feel like a 7th grader is worthy of an instrument that retails for roughly $5-6k and felt that the sales calls were far too pushy. With regard to the flute incident, this happened many years ago, and I did reach out to you by phone. I was transferred to the repair technician, who explained that the cause of the damage was difficulty in disassembling the keys. No offer was made to polish or repair the scratches at that time, and I’m not even sure if this could be realistically done.
Accounting department is lacking. Starting with their company rep incorrectly completing Rental Agreement, billing errors (which I called to correct), followed by their text messages threatening repossession without the courtesy of a phone call has led yo more headache than it’s worth.
I have called Lamar’s person # that was given. me by the school Numerous times, as if this date, I have not received any form of response. Initially we went to band night ordered starter kit. Finally ended up going to Metro Music. They were very helpful. I now have everthing needed.
So bad my child had to experience a bad start to something that is so wonderful . Go to Metro Music, or their other affiliates, you’ll be happier.
The service was excellent and the store is large , there is a wide variety of products with great warranty and access to service or maintenance of electronics. Thankyou.

Absolute horrible customer service with their Geek Squad. I have Apple Care on all of my devices, and I always choose this location to repair my devices. They almost always turn me away, and explain they have to put a $1000 hold on my DEBIT card until a replacement device comes in. All I need is a screen to be replaced? Make it make sense. Go to the Destin Best Buy for better customer service.
Could not get anyone to help. They were too busy talking with each other. Had to do a return the next day. Showed up at 9 like the web site said. But they don’t open till 10 per the paper on the door. Just par for the corse at this best buy.
Customer service is terrible. They’re rude, unwilling to help and very passive aggressive which is annoying. And when I tried calling the location I got put on hold for half an hour then they picked up and immediately hung up on me. I buy a lot of electronics but I’m not wasting my time with this company anymore. Dealing with them has been such a waste of time.

The staff at Alamo Pawn are friendly and helpfull but not pushy. They have good products at a good price. I bought a 22 handgun for range shoting. Im very happy.

Bought a pistol on layaway, paid it off a month ago. Drove over from Fort Walton Beach and found that they had not run my background check. Three hours later, I’m still waiting for them to give me my pistol. They knew I paid for it, why didn’t they run the background check in the month they had between the time I paid it off and was able to pick it up?
Extremely unprofessinal made every excuse to not sell me a firearm when I was just following up on them sending me ffl info about the gun I seen on armslist they claimed I had a attitude.
Have been a pawnshop junkie for a while supporting the local business I guess.
I walked into Alamo today looking for a chainsaw , he had 2, the one I liked was $169.00, I offered 140-169 out the door; the main guy refused, I looked online and it was $174.00 brand new at tractor supply, I question the guy if he would reconsider, his reply: tractor supply is 30 min away.
Needless to say I am not going back to a place that wants to sell you an item that not only is used and has no warranty but it is also insulting towards a repeat customer.
By the way I drove to ace hardware and I found a brand new sthil chainsaw for 159.00 + tax, on sale with 3 YEAR warranty and a full tank of gas+oil mix.

It’s clean, quiet and loads of books. Not really my thing, came in to check it out but it looked like an awesome place!

They have really nice products and books, but once you get to check out, they ask you like 5 questions about donations.
The employees, after we finally found them, were not knowledgeable about the what they sell. The store was not setup in any logical order to help us to find what we were looking for. We were there 2 and a half hours searching in vain for what we needed. Neither my friend nor myself will ever go back.
