Mike is phenomenal! We have listened to him perform at Anna Maria Island for years and he is always the highlight of our time on the beach. We love his music so much that we recently hired him to perform at my husband’s retirement party. He was a hit! Everyone is still talking about him. Mike is a true performer, it felt like we were right at the beach. I highly recommend him for any event.
Excellent I was eating at the Wicked Cantana and Mike was entertaining the patrons. It was icing on the cake to a delicious dinner.
We have listened to Mike in different venues across the Island and love his choice of music, how he makes songs his own and finally, his distinctive and clear, crisp voice. His calendar is part of our social calendar.
2. Anna Maria Island Coffee Shack
Address: 5500 Marina Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
Very nice staff, got a bacon egg and cheese bagel and it was delicious. Iced coffee was really good and priced good.
It was an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. We were immediately greeted by the owner who was lovely. I got the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel (which the bagel was next level good) and it was fantastic all around. I also got a hazelnut iced coffee which was perfect. Definitely can’t wait to come back!!
Kid-friendliness: I don’t have kids of my own but I will say I admired the kids corner because it was actually designed and set up the way a kid would set it up if they were given free range which just shows how welcoming this place is for children!
Such a nice local coffee shop here in AMI. The place is super clean & the staff is beyond friendly. As for the coffee, the Vanilla Latte is perfect! Great job. Support your local coffee shops & restaurants!
Great atmosphere, kid friendly, amazing frappe, the iced latte was pretty bad though.
3. Redbox
Address: 611 Manatee Ave, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
We had a wonderful lunch here!! Delicious açai bowl and veggie wrap. Perfect for cooling down and having something tasty in the middle of the day. Owners were very sweet and the place was vibrant. Go here!
Love this newer place on AMI! It’s different than anything on the island and that’s a great thing. The owners have put a very thoughtful menu together with great quality and healthy ingredients. The fresh house made Venezuelan tequenos and empanadas were delicious. Dipping them in the cilantro aioli was My cappuccino was perfect and it was a generous portion. My husband had the açaí bowl and it was one of the best we have ever had. I sampled her house made tea and it was SO good. You can tell they take great pride in their food, service and AMI. We will be back…many times, I’m sure.
Excellent empanadas and avocado toast. Service was outstanding. Very clean, bright and stylish.
I had the peanut butter bowl. It was a bit thin and runny. It was not thick like an açaí bowl. The fruit tasted fresh and the coffee had a nice fruity flavor. My aunt had the avocado toast. It was one slice of multigrain bread with mashed avocado and one egg. It also looked very fresh and she said she enjoyed it.
We went there for our last brunch before we left to meet our friends
Small place but very friendly staff/owners.
AC wasn’t working well and given the weather it was kind of hot, also it can get very crowded easily given the small space.
Limited menu and seating. The acai bowl was very good. Healthy options appreciated.
My family and I just had the worst experience of our lives. Bad food and a horrible service I will ever come back to this place. I don’t even want to share details because it is disgusting
We went to the restaurant because it said online that they were open, but when we arrived it was closed. Please update your times online.
Over priced for a rude business owner. Asked if she had iced coffee. Snippy & said yes, it’s on the back of the menu. The polite way to address a customer is to point it out. Oh, but someone she knew walked in & she was very sweet. So, I walked out. I will never come back!
5. Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe
Address: 4000 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
This is a beautiful area to visit! The water is so clear and the drinks are so refreshing!
Tons of food for the price
Food was delicious, quick, cheap and nice employees.
Always good
Great place to eat and beach watch.
Good place to get a bite to eat and a beverage
I literally stood in line for 10 minutes just to put my order in. Then waited another 20 for food. They should really consider using both windows as cash and cards and not one for cards and one for cash and if you see that the line for cards is longer maybe take some customers on The Cash Line to get things moving along next time I’ll make sure I bring my own food to the beach
Ordered a bacon cheese burger. Meat was cold, Bun was old and dry and veggies were nasty! Worst food item I’ve ever ordered! ISH!!!!! PAID $14.00 FOR IT TOO. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Horrible food and service. Elderly employees that can’t remember what the orders are. 50 mins for a corn dog is a bit much.
6. Play It Again Jams
Address: 8208 Cortez Rd W Ste. 5, Bradenton, FL 34210 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
Most friendly people! Definitely going to buy here over bigger stores once I’m in the market again. Highly recommend this place
My 6yr old son had his first piano lesson today and Janice was nothing short of AMAZING! This was the the first time he seemed truly interested in something outside of video games and Janice was so great and patient with him. She also showed him a couple of different instruments to see which one he likes best and so he could see how the notes worked on different instruments. She helped to introduced him to music in such a great way and he absolutely love it! Thank you, Janice!
Not open during advertised hours. 2:30, Friday Mar 24th. Driving around here is bad enough, let alone doing it for no reason.
Rode my bike about 4 miles to play guitar for a little bit, am on vacation. I was honest with my intentions with Janice, told her I wasn’t looking to purchase just to play for a little bit. She responded with “no soliciting get out”. I was very surprised. Janice may love music, but she does not love the passion of music. I would have maximum been in the store for 30 minutes and gone my ways. It’s sad to see someone so profit driven who claims on her website “music is not to hear, it’s to feel”. She also claims “Im here to help everyone enjoy the love of music”. This couldn’t be further from the truth. She is profit driven and does not care for you as a person. I suggest to not support someone so rude as an owner, and someone who lies about her true intentions with music. She just wants your money, she does not care for your love of music. Had she allowed me to play for just 10 minutes even, she would’ve made my day. Shame on you Janice, I hope you realize your rude ignorance is unneeded in a world full of it.

7. The Island Golf Carts – Rentals
Address: 122 Palm Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
With so many places to choose to rent a golf cart I am beyond happy that I chose the Island Golf Carts. I didn’t have to worry about picking it up or dropping it off somewhere, and Seth who did the pickup and drop off was very helpful and explained everything wonderfully. The actual cart drives like a dream, with so much room for family members or beach gear. And the entire process was so smooth from booking to when the final day of the rental was up. If you want to enjoy your time in Anna Maria with a good golf cart but don’t want to stress about it, rent from here. They are AMAZING!!
We have been coming to the island for over 20 years and have rented through many other golf cart companies. This one by far is the best. The golf carts are new and stylish. The costumer service is above and beyond! Seth was very helpful through our whole trip and earned our business for the years to come.
This golf cart was amazing! Best quality we have gotten from any of our beach trips. It was super easy and the guys were so nice! They drop it off and pick it up! So convenient! We will definitely use them again!
Cynthia is an excellent performer and vocalist. She entertained my Christmas Party and my guests had a blast listening to her sing as well as singing along! Id thoroughly recommend her.
Such great entertainment fun with Cynthia. Her piano and singing ability is top notch and she encourages you to sing along. Cynthia is a natural at playing and singing every thing from show tunes, love songs and old standards that span. decades. You will not be disappointed.
Cynthia has great piano playing and vocal skills. She can play just about any song requested.
9. Back Alley Treasures
Address: 108 Historic, Bridge St, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
This place was a perfect addition to our breakfast drinks. Their cold brew was sooo good- I even bought the beans to make my own at home. They have a really cute gift shop as well!
Always friendly. Great selection of coffees, beers and wines. Delicious homemade cookies. Great gift store to browse too.
Fabulous coffee! Will be back again when we’re in town. ☕
Cute place, wonderful espresso. Large parking lot behind building.
Great little coffee shop, fun gifts. Wait time was a little long. But very good coffee.
Solid latte
Nice vibe, horrible coffee.
The two women were friendly when I came in. It’s a great little place. However I had asked for a strong Latte, saying how I love strong espresso. When I tried my Latte I said in a neutral tone, “This isn’t very strong.” The manager responded, “It is for normal people.”
Wow.
That seemed uncalled for and some unusual customer service.
Very nice store to shop in although jewelry pieces are over priced. Quality of coffee was not good. I would not recommend.
10. Music Go Round Bradenton
Address: 5108 15th St E Unit 204, Bradenton, FL 34203 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
Great staff. Well maintained guitars. Good prices.
I’ve added to my above comment after my latest stellar guitar purchase.
Thus far, I have purchased two guitars from this store and could not be more pleased with these instruments. The staff and owners are pleasant and helpful. The guitars are setup and their strings are clean. This makes trying out a guitar a very pleasant experience vs the dirty guitars at the local big box store. I highly recommend this business. A+
Very quality used equipment
Cool
Cool place, wide variety of”stuff”. Decent prices, no haggeling. Staff wasn’t overly friendly and had to track down someone to test an amp.
Experience wasn’t so pleasant the 1 times I visited ugh especially October 1 2020 after I spent 465 bucks for the lady in the store to be rude to meUgh
I like the idea of new and used music gear chain store. They are able to access instruments and equipment from all over the country. The salesman could have been more knowledgeable but overall, it’s really good.
store is kind of preoccupied. i go there to get supplies for my parent. i mean its a music store. i listen to music my parent sends me to stores. i find its okay but who knows
Huge store full of stuff nobody wanted, staff, management, & owners are clueless. They care more about policies than customer satisfaction or sales. Save you time & money & either shop Amazon or one of the many other stores in the area
I bought a brand new student violin a few weeks ago. The store and staff seemed fine at the time of purchase. Preparing my daughter to start violin lessons today, I took the violin out of storage for the first time. I found that the handle was cracked (to the sellers credit, it is in a way that could have been missed by the seller). Also, the tuning pegs were very loose and don’t hold the strings taught for very long. I called the store this afternoon to discuss my options and immediately the woman (owner I believe) became defensive of her products and tried to give me many reasons of how this couldn’t be her fault. I just wanted to exchange it for another higher quality violin-I wasn’t upset at all. After she twice accused my daughter of dropping it and saying she “has no idea where its been”, rambling about their return policy being 7 days she said I had no options there because the damage that my daughter caused might make the item unsellable. What poor business etiquette. She chose to defend the sale of a $109 violin rather than her reputation and all future sales of a very musically inclined family with 4 kids. From the other comments I read it seems this store doesn’t have sales that can sustain it and they’re attitude is to get money right now, rather than create a lucrative business with a future.

Visited a few stores here. The Sand Dollar has a great selection of hand crafted items and decor, for a reasonable price. There is an art gallery with amazing paintings and drawings of the island. My daughters favorite was the Sun and Surf shop…They have a bunch of parrots that they display out front of their shop. They also carry Life is Good products there.
Beautiful local shops
This is the heart of downtown Holmes Beach
Lots of nice shops to visit.
Nice area. Ate at The Feast. Great place!!
Fun place to shop for island-inspired clothing and decor.
We went to the freckled fin worst place ever. Avoid it terrible service couldn’t even get our table cleared. I called on the cell phone from our table to get service. I will never return to this place.
Change of opinion New Owner, I will return. Anything is better than the way it was.
High
Those poor birds. Gimmicky tourist trap
12. Drift-In AMI
Address: 120 Bridge St, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
They have Bud Select so my holiday was made perfect! Laid back place with super cold beverages.
Very friendly and so much fun..
First time back in the island in years.
Love the bar. Stay away on karaoke nights. JR (karaoke guy) passes a tip jar around, skips singers if he doesn’t like your song, tells you there’s not enough time for you to sing again and sings himself multiple times instead of letting patrons sing. Hawks people for drinks, very rude. Love it there other nights.
Bar hop
If you aren’t from there don’t bother
Waited all night to sing. Went up to sing. Came back Heather cleared drink and money from my spot at the bar.
New customer there????
Really unaware…Time to leave… What happened to the old owner? Place used to be the life of the island with affordable drinks. Nothing lasts…..
Booze is nearly 2x the price as elsewhere. Waited 5 minutes to get the clerk to ring me up (no line) only to discover that they don’t even take credit cards… They’ll direct you to an atm but the ATM in their store has a $5 fee (no doubt they get part of it!) Go elsewhere if you can!!!!
13. The Doctor’s Office
Address: 5312 Holmes Blvd. #B, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
I’ve always wanted to try this place out. Finally, no line!
Our bartender (maybe Rachel? I think so) was amazing. As pleasant as sweet as her service was, her drinks were even better! She also offered us a taste of their spiked hot coco which was out of this world.
The bouncer at the door was very nice with us but quite rude to some of the other folks coming in. Guys, I didn’t see the sign either. I just knew to wait since I usually saw a bouncer. Kill em with kindness, I say. Folks are on vacation.
Can’t wait to go back!
3rd time here…didn’t dissapoint! Oat was the drink I had and it was delicious!
Pleasant service and outstanding food
Fun late night Gathering Place. A nice place to wind down after work.
Great theme for what used to be a real doctor’s office. Craft cocktails are phenomenal. Was greeting with complimentary sangria which always is welcome. A bit pricey but seemed to be a recurring theme for most of our stay on the island. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was served promptly and nothing stood out good or bad. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.
We heard such great things about The Doctors office and really wanted to love it. We waited outside for about 10 min before getting in and the host outside did a wonderful job of entertaining us while we waited. The decor inside was very cool, however the drinks were mediocre at best. The Sangria was warm, the drinks were pricey and small, and two of our drinks were too tart. Unfortunately, we will most likely not be returining.
We walked in! Didn’t say hello… but, “Do you have a reservation?” I responded , “No” and hostess said you can sit at the bar. Bartender said “no because this is reserved!” Meanwhile, approximately 10 tables open and this was not busy time mind you! They acted like they didn’t need our business so we left! Most
unaccommodating establishment ever! Not a welcoming staff! We went to the new Bortells and had an amazing time. Will never go back!
Paid 50 reservation fee and got seated at the bar in front of the dirty dishes and messy trash I could literally smell the dirt water. I even told them in my reservation request it was for a birthday and I wanted a nice table. I had to complain in order to get moved. The server was new and knew nothing about the drinks. Very disappointed. She literally had nothing to offer in the way of recommendations or what’s good etc. y’all should have a drink picture menu. Especially if that’s your niche.
Dont think there was any booze in my pineapple martini. My first choice was the last word but the didnt have all the ingrediants. Really?? $20 bucks for an unsatisfying glass of pineapple juice
14. Ginny’s & Jane E’s Cafe and Gift Store
Address: 9807 Gulf Dr, Anna Maria, FL 34216 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
We’re eating at this place twice now since we’ve been in Florida. place is very eclectic but the food is great and the service even better. You get healthy portions and the coffee is excellent.
Awesome place, great food! Didn’t have anything bad!
Cinnamon roll – awesome.
Food – good.
Atmosphere – amazing and eclectic.
We will be back!
Very cute café coffee bar.
This place is wild. It’s half quirky store, half amazing brunch spot on AMI. It gets super crowded all summer long and on weekends so be prepared to wait if you’re not there early.
The Cinnamon Rolls are truly massive. Like one roll can feed two easily. The Crème Brûlée French Toast was fantastic. The Skips Burrito is loaded with potatoes, peppers, cheese, eggs and the meat of your choice. All are worthy orders. There are tables inside and out. If the wait times are long, browse the shop for all kinds of interesting things. The food comes out quick for a place that is usually packed.
Parking can be tough. There are spots in the front and back but you may have to grab a street spot. Service is good and I’d say this is a must hit spot whether you’re local or on vacation.
Today the breakfast was terrible. Eggs was over eazy instead of over medium, no homefries, hashbrowns taste bad, pecan rolls was 2 days old, and firm. Biscuits not good too. What was happening …only coffee was good. Usualy Ill recommend this restaurant, …but not today …and was not busy today.
Slow. The iced latte was very watery and way too sweet. I wouldn’t recommend it.
I will never go back. Long lines no seating and mask are required even if you are drinking coffee and have to wait 30 minutes you cannot drink your coffee. It’s not worth the wait. However there are a few other better choices nearby. DO YOUR RESEARCH ! What a missed opportunity this place does not care about you4 or your food. Elderly people cannot wait in line and then no where to seat them. Ugh!!!
15. Bertrand’s Music Keyboards & More
Address: 5905 53rd Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34203 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
Both associates went above and beyond. The younger gentlemen violinist had wonderful customer service.
great selection of keyboards, helpful staff to answer questions, highly recommend.
This is a wonderful music store, they are knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me get my 50 year old cornet fixed and regain my interest in trying to play it.
Grandson rented instruments from them
Very helpful staff! Great selection.
Knowledgeable on music and able to help
Sometimes. It’s good not to speak…
16. Sam Ash
Address: 7606 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34243 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
Very knowledgeable staff and very attentive. Thank you
Went to a couple of the other big brand guitar stores (no names but initials are GC) to purchase a new Telecaster Pro 2, had to hunt someone down to ask about the guitar they answered the question and walked away as if they had better things to do.
I get some of it, there always people that just want to go in and play guitars and have no intention of purchasing, I’m 64 years old, not going to drive for an hour just to play one of their guitars . Anyway I went to Sam Ash in Sarasota FL hoping the service would be a little better, it wasn’t a little better it was great, Spoke to a young man named Jules he answered all of my questions and I purchased the Guitar. Thanks for all of your help Jules, it was a great experience
Amazing customer service, was immediately helped and greeted with knowledge about what I was looking for and left happy with a new amp!
Nice big music store. They really have all kinds of instruments and lessons.
Sam Ash is by far the best music store in Florida. Their selection of instruments is greater than any other store. Their guitar/bass tech. Marc Spagone knows his craft like no other. This is where to go for all your instruments!
Very good
I used to shop here regularly before the pandemic and left because of two employees (Jeff and Brandon) who seemed more focused on a commission than customer service. I thought I would give Sam Ash another try. I walked in around 1:00 on a Sunday, empty handed, looking for a bass amp. No one said hello as I walked in and I shopped for about 15 minutes. Not once did any employee acknowledge me being in the store. Two other people walked in and both were greeted and helped. The second people that walked in were a mother and son looking for a bass and amp for a beginner. They stood directly in front of me and the employee still didn’t even glance my way. As I was walking out one of the employees finally said ” how are you doing, man”. I will give everyone a second chance and this was their second chance. I hoped that things would change but obviously they hadn’t. If you don’t care how you are treated and just want to walk in and out then this might be your place. I personally want an overall great experience and this doesn’t happen here, at least for me. I have been shopping at Music-Go- Round and they are awesome. Check them out and stay away from Sam Ash.
Everytime i go there its always a great experience with the salesperson but yesterday two salesperson just standing in their counter but no one is trying to ask what we are looking for they are not busy in the morning too. So anyway only yesterday december 24th is a bad experience but i bought what we wanted.
Who is giving this place 5 stars? Such rude employees. Answering the phone when I’m asking a question, clearly not listening to my questions or the topic because the sales associate would have known he was selling me the wrong thing. I was trying to figure out what I needed and not only will I have to fork over a 15% restocking fee if I try to return it but that would mean dealing with the “greeter” and staff again. Also while I was paying I was offered a 2 year warranty on an $80 item that was almost 20 bucks. I said I might do 1 year and he said they don’t do 1 year. Complete with attitude. I get the product home and lo and behold! I register it online and there is a free 1 year warranty. Glad I avoided that ripoff. But the thing that really got me? Upon paying I was asked not just for my name, but pretty much everything except my ss#. I said that I didn’t want to give him my cell number and address and he mumbled something about corporate and that they make him ask. That does not make me feel any better! I refused and the attitude reached a level that I didn’t know was available. I wanted out of there. I tried to show my receipt at the door and was ignored until I finally spoke up about wanting to leave. No, I do not think I will be returning there. It’s too bad because the reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1? If you know what you want and you don’t deal with staff, their prices are actually not bad.
17. Bradenton Beach Marina
Address: 402 Church Street North, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
We did the Dolphin Tour and it was absolutely amazing! Wild dolphins came right up to the boat. We cruised the intercoastal where the kids were allowed to pilot and they had a great time. Then we saw a wonderful sunset to end the evening.
The best part, as we were headed back to the marina, a couple dolphins played in the wake of the boat for quite a while. It was magical.
Shout out to Roxanne and Captain Jeb! Thank you!
Beautiful
Nice views
Fishing with Zack and Jayden
Staff was accommodating, comedy show was terrific.
But-seating is set up for the entire boat tour backwards. I had anticipated great views but I ended up with a headache
Horrific experience. We booked a boat rental over a month ago and we received a picture of the pontoon boat we rented. When we got at the marina, the boat was not pictured. The steering wheel literally came off the column and the “guide” banged it back into place. No guard rails, no covering from the 105* heat and the boat could not hold the amount of people we told them we needed a boat to hold.
When we spoke to the manager all we received was a response of “take it or leave it. Someone will rent it if you don’t.”
Our children who were looking forward to the boat ride are now let down by this company’s dishonesty.
I purchased the paddle boat cruise on a Wednesday evening. First of all let me give the musician 10 stars and 2 thumbs up for non stop and not missing a beat for 2 1/2 hours straight and very entertaining. Also there were no hang up with the boat ride itself even had dolphin and manatee sightings. My issue was after purchasing earlier that afternoon I asked clearly if I needed to show my receipt or needed a ticket to board and was told no they had my name. When approaching the Boat a little after 6 to board, a female crew member asked for ‘my ticket’. When replied I only had a receipt and what the Desk Told me earlier she seemed annoyed at me for not having a ticket. She replied that’s good enough that I just won’t receive a menu for drinks and food bar. Later when purchasing a beer twice, just not lots of gratitude and offering customer service. When exiting the boat not one crew member was present to thank or to be thanked. Just Overall disappointed in the execution of customer service.
Lady was rude and said we could get gas on May 29th, 2019. Yes, it was after 5. But, She said we could get gas. So we drove there on our empty tank. When we got there 3 min later she wouldn’t answer the door and when I called she hung up on me.
Don’t bother being treated nicely. We usually go to Annie’s bait n tackle. They are much nicer and a family owned establishment.
18. Anna Maria Island Sun
Address: 3909 E Bay Dr #210, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
They are the BEST! Golf cart was in amazing condition felt brand new! They were also wonderful to work with, communication was very clear. I will be renting from them again and will recommend to all my friends.
We had such a great experience! The delivery and pick up service is AMAZING! We didn’t have to stop any of our vacation plans to pick up or drop off our cart. It came right to our house and then they picked it up. We’d definitely use this company again!
We rented a 4 seater cart when we was at Anna Maria, the carts are really nice and easy to use . It was nice arriving at our rental and the cart was already there. They also left a gift bag on the cart which I thought was a really nice touch . The whole process of renting a cart from them is very easy, we will definitely use them on our next trip to Anna Maria, and I highly recommend them . We had the cart for 9 days.
20. Freckled Fin Irish Pub
Address: 5337 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 , Holmes Beach , Florida , United States
Very busy Irish pub. Food was good, but it is pub food..the salad with the cranberries was delightful! It was crowded, but the outside dining patio was great for our group. The music was awesome and there was plenty of room for dancing after dinner!
Great pub experience in Florida.
My family and I had carryout while on a recent faction to AMI. We placed our order online and received confirmation, but upon arrival at the scheduled time, they had no record of the order! They did quickly prepare our order while I waited and eventually were able to track the ticket down. They threw in a piece of pie for the error.
Overall the food was pretty good. I actually really enjoyed the poor man’s tenders, which are coasted with house made potato chips before being deep fried. Again service was friendly, but their execution behind the scenes may need some work.
Fun spot, great drinks. Good live music.
Friendly staff, told my Irish dance teacher maybe my school could preform
Rude terrible service.
Not a nitro brew. But nice bar with friendly service.
Disappointed. Fish sandwich was dry and onions rinds way over cooked
