Jay went above and beyond to make sure my daughter got her saxophone. He made her year and earned my business for life. Thank you guys very much!
One of my fav places. No baught my first Telecaster here. Still love it
My children have been taking drums and piano lessons here and I am very pleased on their progress. I have also rented a trumped for my child to join band at school and it has been all well. So far very pleased with the service. I highly recommend them.
They were very helpfull
Bought a drum set with all the hardware (cymbal stands and throne), but never received the throne when I picked it up. Also bought a Zildjian ZHT cymbal pack (crash, china, ride, hi hat) at the same time, and to this day (four months) I have not received the crash cymbal. I have called numerous times, and they always tell me that a shipment is coming and I will get a call when they get it, but I don’t think it takes four months for a shipment to arrive. Also, their selection of drum sticks is practically nil.
I rent a new flute shown as model Stagg ws-fl231, and the price is $452.55. They told me the rent cost could be counted as deduction when I buy it later. Six month later, the spring on the flute is loosed. They change a used Jupiter shown model JEL 700 to me and stated its price was $500. Three month later, the same issue came again. Since I have rented for nine months, I asked what the balance would be if I buy the used one. They told me the balance will be about $470, and the price for the used Jupiter Jel 700 is about $800. I doubted whether the used one is worth the price. They told me the price of a new one is about $1900. On the next day, I found the contract, and it showed the price of the used one was $500. So they were making up a price or number to overstated the worth of the flute. If I didn’t keep the contract, I would have been cheated by them. When they were lying to me, they spoke it out so naturally that I have to conclude that they must have lied for many years. If you search the price of the Stagg ws-fl231 on Amazon, you will find its price is $199 for new one. The price of Jupiter JFL-700 student on eBay is only $485, and it is a new one. After the deduction, which I have paid $330 as lease payment in recent nine months, I still have to pay an additional $170, then it is considered as pay off. In this way, I paid total $500 to rent and then buy an used flute. It truly doesn’t deserve it. I suggest everyone to check the price of the same model on Amazon or eBay before you lease or buy it. In addition, there is no any terms of the lease payment for deduction listed in the contract, so it is just oral promise and not protected by the contract. Never trust their lies.
Don’t show up without calling first. If you try to sample an instrument they will ask if you are there for a lesson. If you say no, they will ask you to immediately leave.
To reply to the poster, I did give you a chance to respond, you asked why and I said to play, you did not clarify the pianos were not for sale and that that was a lesson room. You immediately turned your attention back to the guitar lessons you felt I was rudely interrupting. Please do not tell me I don’t know how to interpret body language or communication when you shut it down first. The review stands. A google local guide. Sorry you were rude to the wrong person.

Address: 1525 E Ontario Ave #106, Corona, CA 92881 , Home Gardens , California , United States
We really enjoyed our instructions from Mr. Johnson. He taught both my kids for two years and they developed considerable skill. These lessons are a little more affordable than other lesson providers. Thank you!
Very professional and informative. I recommend them.
After checking out many local options for music/vocal lessons in Corona, Music & Arts had the best reputation with parents at a reasonable cost. There are NO contract fees involved and lessons are paid monthly. The teaching staff is well educated, professional and they care about their students. I could not ask for better teachers for my daughter and she has had the opportunity to work with many of them. Christine is the office manager and she makes rescheduling lessons very easy. There are so many choices since the studio is open 6 days a week and well into the evening for after school lessons. Christine and the studio owner, Randy Scott, provide many opportunities for the students to showcase their talents…..without any pressure to perform if the student just prefers to take lessons. My daughter has had the opportunity to perform at a yearly recital to showcase her individual lessons, but she has also performed on stage at the Orange County Fair and during the Winter Concert with a “band” of students who are grouped together to learn to perform together. It is a most unique opportunity and my daughter absolutely loves making new friends while taking lessons. I highly recommend Music & Arts for any age student…you will not be disappointed!
When i came I was in beginning band and I bought a mouthpiece for a trumpet it seemed to be tarnished so I got it checked it turned out to be used this scared me so when I went to return it the lady gave us hell.

It is wide and they have some variety and good service
A little spendy but in the final anal
Great costumer service, did the service in the time period they quoted. Ended up being less than I expected. I will be going back if I need anything else.
I’ve not had a problem at Music Mikes…grandson got a set of drums and they went over the whole lesson plan for someone who has never played drums in the past and even asked me to step back by the lesson area where lessons were being performed so that I could watch one on one before making a decision.
Very helpful but need cheaper price on some clarinet reeds.
Probably the best customer service that I’ve gotten in a music store. The only reason why I’m giving a 3 stars is because they outsource there guitar repairs to someone who has absolutely no concept of quolity assurance or even knowledge of how to do a standard set-up.
IN SHORT go to the store for lessons and to buy stuff while feeling really welcomed, BUT for the sake that is all holy with electric guitar repairs; DO NOT TAKE YOU’RE GUITAR THERE FOR REPAIRS.
Absolute Gyp. Offered $20 pawn on a $1600 guitar with $1200 quad-camera live-broadcast setup built-on.
Absolutely untrustable.
I do NOT recommend this place. I had a repair they said $50-60 and they charged me $100!They tell you one price and charge you way more! They are rude and unprofessional. I will never go back.
Rude employees bad place to spend your money.

Address: 11498 Pierce St Ste #E, Riverside, CA 92505 , Home Gardens , California , United States
I really enjoyed how Andrew could connect with my son. I enjoyed the great communications from the owners. We first found this business because our cousin was one of his first students. We also enjoyed attending the performances before Covid. This is a great company with a wholesome approach. I also like that they offered remote lessons during the pandemic. Nothing is the same when it is not in person, but it was nice to know they did all they could to make it enjoyable and available. My son has had to take a reprieve from music, but if he was still able to balance it with everything else, we would certainly return.
It’s our second year with Rockside Music. Four of my children have taken or continue to take classes in drums, piano, guitar, violin, and voice. The teachers are highly experienced and accomplished musicians themselves. Rockside has been willing and able to work around our hectic, large-family schedule, and always do their best to accommodate us. I’ve gotten to know and appreciate what warm, kind, and professional individuals run this facility. To top it off, the actual facility is very clean and tastefully set up. We are more than pleased to do business with Rockside, we are blessed!

These guys were amazing and super helpful it was my first time here and they made me feel welcome he helped me pick out a good guitar and the store was very nice and professional I know I’m coming here again customer service was 10 out of 10 everyone was super helpful and informative
This location is great for an MV producer like myself to grab quick basic gear for a session.
Only place I go for my music needs
The first time I went with my nephews who are in their school’s marching band I went in the early afternoon, about a month ago. there were 2 girls working and one of them, shorter, long hair in a ponytail was very nice and knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
The second time I went in, was late in the evening a couple weeks ago and there where several guys working behind the counter just chit chatting. I asked a question and was pointed towards the direction of where I should look. The guys just stared at me like I was interrupting their chat. I went over to where one Hispanic guy pointed at and when I couldn’t find what I needed (I have no music training myself) I felt like I had to beg for one of the guys to come help me find what I was looking for. Customer service lacks in all these “gentlemen” working that evening.
Always great. I’m a kid in a candy store.
Personalized attention given by sales reps
Went here to look at trading an old amp I had laying around for years and knew I wasn’t going to get much for, I mainly was just looking to use the discount on the trade in and trade up for a small amp for bedroom and hotel use while on tours. I had a friend whom is a fairly well known electronic producer, playing main stage for countless insomniac events and was treated HORRIBLY by one of your “pro” audio associates when he was looking to upgrade to some CDJ-NSX2 controllers. Not our fault you have some amateurs that come in and turn everything to the max and leave it that way. Next time, be nicer cause you missed out of a nearly $5,000 sale of two CDJs Guitar Center of Lake Forest took advantage of due to your extreme lack of professionalism. I was happy with Gary who helped me with the trade in on my cheap gear, but the other guy I will from now on avoid at all costs. I don’t want a penny of commission/GP going to him. I used to be a department manager of guitar center(before the dreaded “phase 3”) and I would have made sure that employee was reprimanded accordingly. Next time, dont judge a book by the cover. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is cause Gary earned you another. No wonder this store has the reputation it does.
I’ve been a customer for 25+ years and have never been treated the way I was treated today. I went into the Moreno Valley store with my 5 year old son to replace a cymbal and one of the employees “ Wyatt” cranked up the PA so loud that my son son started covering his ears and crying. Another costumer notice because his young daughter was doing the same thing and asked Wyatt to turn it down. He didn’t and when I approached him he told me that he was attempting to sell it to a customer and basically too bad. He was extremely rude. I’ve been a customer of Guitar Center for at least 25 years and have probably spent almost 75k at your stores over the years. I will never step foot into Guitar Center ever again. I do want to add that the manager Kyle was friendly and tried to make things good but the damage is already done. I will buy all of my music equipment elsewhere.
The employees are not the nicest not helpful at all
6. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4449 Mills Cir, Ontario, CA 91764 , Home Gardens , California , United States
They have a pretty small selection for powered speakers. They do have nice selection of wires or plugs for sound system. It’s closes too early other than that it’s cool
Variedad de equipos para audio accesorios e instrumentos musicales
I purchased a defective accordion and returned it at the store. I had to wait there for several hours because they didn’t have cash in the register at the time I showed up. I re-ordered a different accordion through sam ash online. While at the store, the clerk was upset because I didn’t order through him, I told him I’d found a good deal online(coupon). He said next time not to do that, that he could match my deal and get commission too. He was salty about the lack of commission I guess. They had scheduled delivery for my accordion today. I’ve been waiting at home all day so that porch pirates don’t take it, and just found out that it will not be delivered today. They just push back the days. I will no longer conduct business with this store, online or otherwise, they have poor customer service and do not come through on their deliveries online either. Too, they purposefully ask you to review only if you have 5 stars, else to contact the store. This is not honest reviewing of a product. They are inflating their standing by diverting all people who would review them with less stars. I just want all of the customers to this store to be aware. Sam ash sells defective products, the guys work on commission and thus get upset if they miss out on making your hard earned cash, online deliveries are inaccurate at best. I’ve never had this problem with online stores like WWBW or MusiciansFriend, I will order from them from now on.
Staff were rude and made themself scarce saw them being rude to s Spanish speaker.
Bought my daughter a violin and Suzuki lessons about a year ago. We love the violin (even though we later found I over paid) But the lessons have been a headache say the least. I understood in the beginningSam ash is a big company and scheduling. Wouldn’t be easy, but it’s been den close to impossible, not to mention a complete lack of flexibility on even the most simple of requests, a sometimes ornery staff, and a significant amount of communication issues
7. International House of Music Inc.
Address: 14061 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780 , Home Gardens , California , United States
This place has served me well for almost 2 decades! If you need something guitar related they probably got it or they can order it for you!
I am a professional musician and music instructor. I have sent dozens and dozens of students to purchase from Jim’s Music. And I have personally purchased more than a dozen new instruments from Jim’s myself. They have been in the area, serving Orange County for decades. They sell and rent thousands of instruments to the local school districts, and they outfit many area churches with their sound systems. All of the staff is very knowledgable and professional, and they are not there to give input when they do not know the proper answer. They also do not try to upset you, or give you advice just to get you to purchase something. They are trusted people, and most of the staff are professional area musicians as well. I send all of my students there, and have for fifteen years. Great store, where you will normally get great service.
good selection, great deals, very chill staff who know what theyre doing, all around a great place to go for anything music related
Guy’s name was John. He seemed new. I needed strings, he made a decent recommendation. All in all it was a pretty good experience. I’ll probably be back. Cool place.
Buen servicio, buenas existencias
I’m conflicted with writing this review but i feel like i need to put it out there. This review is only for the consignment of my guitar they sold. I brought the guitar in July and they sold it in September so turnaround time was pretty good and the front desk staff were really knowledgeable. He said the split was 70/30 so they would get 30% of the sale, I’m ok with that since they are finding the buyer.
They did an inspection and were really thorough with the quality (near mint condition). He looked up the guitar online and said the retail is $250 so if they sold it I would get $175. Great, the math checks out so we both signed the contract stating i would get $175.
Well they sold it in September and I went to pick up my check and turns out they sold it for $300, which means it was no longer 70/30 split. I get it they can increase the price after the contract is signed, but isn’t that a bit shady on two fronts? Told the consigner it retails for a lower price they actually sold it for and also sold a used guitar to someone above market price? Anyway, this is something I would shrugg off if it was like Guitar Center but since it’s a local shop this really rubbed me the wrong way.
Lessons learned, when putting items into consignment don’t put down a hard cash number into the contract, put down a percentage of what they sell it for.
Employees are rude, unhelpful and one of them called my friend a “retard” for stringing his guitar incorrectly. I would go to Guitar Center every time over this place if there was one by my house, but unfortunately this is the closest music store around.
AVOID THIS STORE! These people tried to SCAM me, selling me a $450 guitar they had no stock of, and then refusing to refund me, making ridiculous lies and excuses to try keep my money. Had to open a paypal dispute just to put an end to it. DON’T TRUST THESE PEOPLE!
Very disappointed in the customer service today. Went into buy a guitar for my son and strings for my Flamenco guitar. Short haired guy behind the counter was rude and dismissive. Probably having a bad day, but shouldn’t take it out on customers. I walked out without buying anything and went to a different music shop to buy the guitar for my son.
8. Bertrand’s/Pete’s Music & Guitar Shop
Address: 29800 Bradley Rd, Menifee, CA 92586 , Home Gardens , California , United States
Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. My first choice when I need music gear.
I just moved to Menifee from San Diego a few months ago. I recently had my Strat in for repair (Volume Pot) replaced and had Mike do a thorough overhaul and Setup. My guitar hasn’t sound and felt this good in many Years.
Thanks Mike Great job and much appreciated!
Highly recommend! Gary
Great place to go to get an Ukulele repair. They didn’t over charge me to file down the nut and the saddle. 25 dollars. Guitar center was trying to charge me 75 dollars. Take your guitar and ukulele to Pete’s.
I’m so glad they got rid of “Dr. Evil.” It was the best decision they’ve ever done in my 20 years of coming here. Buying guitar strings from him was like pulling teeth. I heard he was eventually assaulted, which is unfortunate and kind of reflects on the managers for not getting rid of him sooner.
The bearded gentleman that replaced him is worth his weight in Gold.
Give that man a RAISE. He deserves it.
I had some questions about a guitar repair on 9/23/14. I called to talk with Pete but he was not there. I talked with someone else about the needed repair. He couldn’t help me and when I tried to get some more information about when Pete would return he was non-helpful and then he told me that he had “a room full of customers.” Or in other words, this phone conversation is over. Am I not a customer? Just another employee filling a seat over there. I gave 3 stars for my rating only because Pete is awesome, but my experience with his fill-in was in complete contrast to working with Pete.
In a era when local music shops are hard to find this one is a gem. Great service, great staff, fair prices. Their guitar techs are top notch and extremely reasonable…
Done
I cant say i have been to alot of music stores but this is defiantly one i wont be going back to watch out for the middle age bald guy. Literally the rudest most obnoxious man i have ever met in my life. DONT GO
Very obnoxious dude
9. Morey’s Music Store Inc
Address: 4834 Woodruff Ave #576, Lakewood, CA 90713 , Home Gardens , California , United States
We rented violins here for 7 years, from 1/10 size to 3/4 size until my daughter was ready to purchase a full size. Our teacher was always pleased with the quality and their customer service was superb on every single interaction through all those years.
Best service, best selection. Super knowledgeable. Always a great experience.
Conveniently located with a professional repair staff.
Good music store little pricey
Very courteous, took care of all my daughters guitar needs.
Not knowledgeable about guitars!! They use to be great.
More’s music store doesn’t sell saxophone mutes and they probably don’t even know what a saxophone mute is so they should probably search up saxophone mute on the internet (bad service).
I don’t know what to say about this place but it’s been one of the worst places I’ve ever been to and the prices are very high plus they treat you very rude
