Picked up a Fender Roadhouse. A demo unit that looked like it had been hanging for a while. Had nice setup on the string height but the intonation was a good bit off. Was able to get a good bit off the price due to its age, 2017. Other than old strings and the bad intonation it looked and felt new.once I got it home I cleaned it and took care of the intonation . Price was good and Shawn was nice to work with. Just looking around, a really nice local music store. Sure seemed nicer the GC.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very good selection definitely on my list of go to musical stores for strings, keyboards and drums.
My son was looking for a bass. He found it here. The store has a great inventory that allowed him to see what would work best for him. Easy to work with. Great staff Highly recommend. Update 2/15/2022. Ed and crew are still giving great service and reasonable deals. Just traded for a hard to find in person Acoustasonic. They had 3 or 4 to choose from. They are well stocked for a small ” Mom and Pop” operation. Check them out,
Pretty good shop if you are in Athens. Much better selection of gear than their competitors in the area.
Could be a little more organized. Drum area needs more open space. And more displayed of items. Seems pretty congested.
Nice selection of stringed and percussion instruments. Pretty decent prices, too.
Poor selection. If you like grandpa guitars this is the place. Wouldnt recomend to any modern guitar players.
Really wanted to like this company. I was cheated and conned, and after a week with zero communication I contacted them. They fumbled around for another day or two then stated they couldn’t find the item. I was left empty handed and confused. No attempt at finding the item or ordering another. Nothing. Zip. C’mon guys!
Dude I’m not sure what happened. The first floor is desolate (empty for everybody that’s currently reading this while dunk). I understand social distancing, but I’m I am attending Warehouse, I do not care about the current situation, I’m here to rave. Open the first floor for a mosh pit.
Their cordial staff was an eye-opener; I haven’t experienced such expertise in one’s craft until I walked into that store. On a Saturday, one staff member was even helpful enough to call up a rep, who only works on weekdays, to answer my questions, and he did so willingly and insisted on not hanging up until I was more than satisfied.
Jackson’s repair artist, Doug, recently rebuilt my Selmer Mark VI. I say artist because Doug took the job to a level which surpasses just a collection of new parts being installed and rather added an organic component that only a caring professional with a mindset of a job meeting a standard only they are able to lay eyes to and understand. Doug certainly meets and surpasses the highest of modern professional repair standards and has my highest recommendation.
They have fair prices and a mini guitar-center-like selection of guitars. My only complaint is I felt pushed to make a sale when I looked at guitars.
Always pleasant – always professional and it’s been that way since I moved into the area!
I’ve read some of the complaints here and I’ve not had those experiences and I shop there a couple times a year. I also understand how smaller music stores value the integrity of their new products by trying to limit maring the guitar finish with picks. You wanna do that you’re right- go to Guitar Center.
First rate staff and ownership and first rate lessons with an experienced staff!
I’ll keep going back!
I come here for instrument repairs. I’m a professional musician that need his instrument asap. Mark at this location always fixes my sax perfectly. I’m going for a repad in the next two weeks
No inventory.
I just went in to get son a guitar and then guy in dreads is supposedly the manager and it was an issue for him to even help us. I asked to see his manager and he lied and said he wasnt in. And then he told me to leave. Do not go to this store. Go somewhere where they want your business.
DO NOT GO HERE!! i went in to rent an instrument for my daughter for school and got such negativity from THE OWNER’S WIFE. First i was questioned because i only gave them my cell number and refused to give them my 13 year old daughters phone number. I got questioned 5 times if she was really my daughter simply because we have different last name and that was after i told her it was for my daughter. “Are you sure its your daughter?”. Then she said “i am going to be honest, this whole last name not matching throws up red flags for me” and gave me a weird look. I told her i will gladly go elsewhere and to put the stupid instrument back. I will not be questioned with such stupid questions that clearly have an underlying issue to them.
Everyone else was very polite and helpful so kudos to them , their service was good.

Friendly and helpful. Was an easy experience renting a flute for my daughter.
friendly staff and very helpful for anything you need for school band
I go to music and arts every sunday
worst place ever, first they say one thing then say another thing about my bills, just lies and lies, meaning i have 3 yrs paying for an instrument that it dosent seem to be paid for, and last month was suppose to be the last paymet and know i owe moreeee thats just ST
There is always 1 person on the weekends or after 5pm!
Do not believe them! Especially on rental credits (they apply to nothing)
No respect for time! Every person needs 30 min, why would you only have 1 person!

I depend totally on the expertise and professionalism of Lisa Turner Maddox and her staff at Turner Keyboard.. Whenever I need their services, I am delighted with the scheduling, reminders and follow up they provide. I give them 10 stars out of five!
Turner Keyboards did an excellent job moving our piano! Showed up on time, super professional – definitely know what they’re doing!

I am so happy I found this place. I came in to get my guitar fix and I was taken care so well.
John is always really helpful but the other guy gives the cold shoulder alot of the time. Overall though, great store.
Guy running the store was very helpful and knowlegable.
Very friendly. Awesome teachers.
Place needs to just close! doubt me, go see what I’m talking about.
Literally 4:08pm on a Saturday I show up. They were not open. Sign on the door says 10am-6pm. Very disappointed.

Cool store
Horrible service
They need to be more stocked and some of the employees need to be nice and helpful the young ones walk around doing nothing and when ask a question they tell you they are on break what the heck so go to break room and get off your phone ,they are always out of things and the prices have almost doubled.
