5. Haus Coffee Shop & Wine Bar IRB
Address: 12199 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Haus has musical groups and fun events. Stop in and see what is going on. The owner and staff are friendly. The food is very good. They have a nice bar with some good wines and beers.
The absolute BEST local coffee and baked goods
The coffee is great, Sam and Grace always make our morning coffee run the best! We are regulars here every weekend, it’s a must try if you haven’t already!
My wife and I love to come to the coffee shop, the vibe and staff are phenomenal. What we love most is their outside seating which regardless the weather always has a lovely cross-breeze. My only complaint is that during the weekdays, we get smoked out by one of the faculty of a nearby school whom never seems to buy anything at the shop. I just wish the establishment would enforce a customer only seating policy.
Parking: One stop shopping! Grab some caffeine at The Hause, a car wash and run some grocery errands.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, minus the outside smoking section which can kill the vibe quite quickly when occupied by inconsiderate smokers.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
Quaint little coffeehouse huge selection of specialty coffees many different roasts and huge selection of muffins that look really yummy. we were there for evening entertainment and they had a decent selection of inexpensive wines, as well as beers. The sangria was very good. They also sell Paparazzi jewelry in the back room, and are about to open a wine bar, so we will come back and check that out.
Absolutely LOVE this place. My only issue is that I come here specifically to enjoy their coffee and outside seating and every day one of the teachers from the neighboring school comes to smoke (about 3 cigarettes in a half hour). I don’t see her buy anything ever, just smokes us out. I wish they would specify that the seating is for customers only.
I’ve been going to this coffee shop and the other location since January of this year. Never had an issue before. The staff are always pleasant and take the time out to get to know their customers.
THE OWNER OF THE STORE IS THE ISSUE. IMAGINE GETTING THE COPS CALLED ON YOU FOR BEING BLACK AND STUDYING…..
I shouldn’t have to explain to anyone why I’m sitting at a big table waiting for my friends to join. I didn’t deserve to be grilled about how many people are coming. I didn’t deserve to be called selfish for sitting at that table even though I explained not only to her but to someone else that I have friends coming.
Throughout my interaction with the owner she constantly brought up the mens bible study group that comes there every Thursday morning ( I knew nothing about). Not sure why because that had nothing to do with me, but from the sound of it she prioritized their needs/wants over other customers. She mentioned that they would call before hand to have a bible study group and USUALLY sits at that table I was at. I told her “I didn’t know I needed to call to study with people”. She said “you don’t”…….. what she said made no sense at all and I shouldn’t have been approached and provoked over ONE TABLE.
If you look at the last reviews, others mention that there is a clique atmosphere to the place. Owner is without a doubt a racist, and to call the cops on someone for sitting absolutely pathetic. Which also and means you have never lived this life true to human beings. I would say god bless this place but it’s filled with the hate of the devil.
I would take a lot of these new reviews with a grain of salt, as this place specifically ASKED to be spammed with positive reviews due to their recent incident regarding racism. They didn’t take any accountability on social media.
The drinks are expensive, lacking in flavor and made by a bunch of teenagers. The menu is full of clutter and you’ll have to sit there for 5-10 minutes trying to read it. I’ve been here and seen this place grow ever since it took over the Coffee Mill, and every time I go it’s such a disappointment. I will say the atmosphere of the place itself is cozy but that’s about it for me.
We are looking for a Silent Brass system for our son’s trombone, the newest one the SB5X-2, and found MrSilverTrumpet online. They had the best price anywhere and we got Priority Mail as there free service, so we had the system in hand in just two days!. Thanks for the great service.
We found MrSilverTrumpet while searching for a Silent Brass trumpet system, the SB7X-2 by Yamaha. Forget Amazon, eBay, and Reverb. Their prices were lower than any of them and other competitors. So, we gave them a try. Great customer service, we got a quick delivery of our silent mute, and it was a genuine Yamaha product. This is the type of small business I like to support, and they are also authorized Yamaha dealers.
7. The Island Surf Shop
Address: 309B Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
The owners and employees are always so friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere as well!!
Great shop! Very good customer service! Rented some paddle boards and couldn’t have been more pleased with the time I had renting from here. Highly recommend!
Larry and his staff are always helpful. The best surf shop on the beach. I have been going here for many years.
Nice shop. But won’t find serious gear for surfing or Skating. If you are Looking for sandals and t shirts sure.
Stoped several times durning business hours and they have been closed .
The owner is an absolutely horrible mean disgusting human who decided to hate crime me for no reason. I was just existing as an openly queer person and walking pass the store, while the women screamed at me that I was on the wrong side of town and screamed other rude and expletive things . There are other surf shops in the area with decent humans. Fully recommend going elsewhere
Extremely homophobic and prejudice owners. Spews hate speech onto innocent passersby. Not worth spending your money at!
8. Seminole Music
Address: 11920 Seminole Blvd, Largo, FL 33778 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
It was my first experience with Seminole Music Store. Great and fast service! Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the worker, forgot to ask, but he did a great job! He restrung Sigma Guitars Acoustic Left-Hand Guitar today! Thank you so much! I appreciate your time and excellent job! Highly recommend him! Certainly, I will come back to this store! 10 stars!
Amazing service and super friendly staff. Did a remarkable job on setting up my acoustic guitar. Could not be happier !
Went to check it out – it appears to be out of business!
Local musician here, I bought a pair of sticks here in a pinch before a gig. They broke before my first set was over. 10/10 will not be back here for any gear. 2 stars because the guy behind the counter knew they were cheap sticks.
Keep up the good work!
Get rid of website til there is info on stock
9. Indian Rocks Tackle
Address: 1301 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Great service knowledge always have & had great experience great store been there for many years
Highly recommend.
Very knowledgeable and friendly customer service. Lots of equipment. 10/10 will go there again!
The best equipped tackle shop in all of Florida! Enjoy!
Muy calida atencion, y una coleccion de reeles muy buena de ver!
Very nice tackle store .Really cool decor looks like a fish camp etc.
Very helpful and friendly
Cool bait store but we stood there for 10 mins while she did 3 different people’s fishing lisences and all we needed to buy was a thing of hooks. Very annoying
10. Goin’ Coastal Golf Cart Rental
Address: 311 Gulf Blvd #4, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
We had such an amazing day filled with laughs! Thank you Danny for your exceptional customer service! We have already referred a few friends to come your way!
I booked a golf cart through Goin’ Coastal for my bachelorette. Everything about the rental process was smooth and Danny gave great instructions and recommendations. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a golf cart during their stay!
11. Cafe de Paris Bakery
Address: 2300 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
You have to be patient in the holidays or vacation months. Place gets packed.
Great place.
Admittedly we arrived at lunch hour on Friday so the place was hectic. No one to greet you… you must find your own table. The problem is that if there is no table you have to wait until one comes available by hovering over existing diners. I don’t find that particularly polite. I would have preferred a ticket system whereby the next table be given to the next ticket number.
Once a table was found, we ordered from our server. Approximately 10 minutes later 2 of the 3 orders arrived. Another 3 minutes later the server returned to say that one of the plates was an error and she took it away. As my friend had already begun eating off the plate, I hope the plate was thrown out but we didn’t see where she went with it. Finally, after another 10 minutes our remaining two orders were served to us.
The food was good and well-presented for the most part. Next time however I will ask for the dressing on my salad to be on the side because there was so much that it totally drenched the greens in the salad. My cream puff for dessert was fresh and delicious however the pastry on my friend’s mixed berry tart was hard and inedible.
I would return again for breakfast next time but I’ll be careful to go during off peak hours.
Goed stokbrood. Croissants redelijk.
Everything looks delish. I was disappointed with my sandwich but It was my choice nothing they did. Don’t go to french bakery and for a regular sandwich. Should have gone with the crepe!
While the place is always busy that doesn’t mean it’s good. The quiche’s were lacking flavor. The cinnamon roll wasn’t very good. They don’t even warm the food up. I’ve been to France including Paris. This place leaves A LOT to be desired.
Doesn’t work
Confusing store concept, needs urgent update und kitchen was quite a mess. Not very inviting (any more).
12. ZEN Massage & Yoga
Address: 1401 Gulf Blvd Ste.3, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Excellent staff and inviting facility. Makes you feel you’ve entered another world of simplicity and calmness. 5 stars all the way
The entire Team is wonderful! They are skilled professionals that truly help our quality of life while still being very fun human beings!
I always look forward to my massage with Erica. She is professional and solves problems for me. I am an active senior who needs countermeasures to solve problems from participating in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my late 70’s. The treatment I receive every other week keeps me healthy and functioning they way I should. I highly recommend you try Zen Massage, they are great!
I would have given 5 stars but I’ve only been for massage, not yoga. Hope is amazing as a massage therapist and I love the studio—just step inside and you feel your blood pressure lower.
Sometimes too much talking which interrupts my meditation during class
Says on their website they don’t offer online booking because they want “the opportunity to connect with you”–which in turn, apparently means answering the phone and handling potential clients in a rushed, frustrated, and unhelpful manner. What a joke.
Was having a service done there and heard one of their girls getting fire for refusing a male customer a happy ending. Thought it was a good place but watch out there’s some sleazy stuff going on and I wouldn’t want anyone to get sick from this absolutely atrocious lack of ethics
13. Redbox
Address: 12022 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
COBB 10 at Tyrone Mall a five star experience plus great dinner food. New 2017. The best movie experience in Saint Pete!! Go on line and buy your tickets.
This was the worst experience paid for the movies on a reservation and wasn’t allowed to get them.
14. JD’s Restaurant & Lounge
Address: 125 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Hands down the best burgers ever. Staff was fantastic. Great draft beer special
Food was crisp and hot. Nice
The music was great, but the seats were very uncomfortable especially if you have a bad back.
Chicken wings are the best thing on the menu. And the shrimp w feta cheese appetizer.
Overall, it was a very good experience. My one gripe would be that for the price, the margarita on the rocks was both diminutive and low octane.
Not sure why the drinks are so small and our waitress told us 5x “I’ll be right back with water for your dog.” I’m a big tipper usually 25% this waitress 10%. The food was ok. This place is convenient to the beach, but there are other options. The live music was great I’d have to say.
There beer is always warm it’s always packed so hard to find a seat, Food well not for me the atmosphere is great music dancing..
Service was decent and friendly. We got coconut shrimp and mahi tacos. The shrimp was decent enough and the blackened mahi was decent. However the mashed potatoes are instant which is just disappointing and the tacos as a whole were disappointing. I docked a full star for the potatoes alone. I shouldn’t get instant in a $20 dish ever.
Social Distancing is not followed on the patio and the dj was walking around the crowded bar singing with no mask on.
15. Lu Lu’s Ice Cream and Candy Shop
Address: 19823 Gulf Blvd #C, Indian Shores, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Everything was fantastic! The cappuccino and Reece’s I had was amazing! And the hospitality was phenomenal. I’m local and definitely going back.
Expensive, ice cream was good but nothing to write home about, overall it was good and the person working the counter was friendly.
Smaller selection of ice cream, perhaps 16-20 flavors, but the two tried were very good. They also have some old school candies on hand which were interesting to peruse.
Great little ice cream place. They have old style candy from back in the day. Will say they are a little over priced but kind of expected being on the beach. Ice cream was delicious and the small seating area outside was nice to enjoy the great weather. Over all I’ll be coming back to visit this place for sure.
Although it was a hour before closing, service was slow… particularly for a Saturday night
Disappointed. Selection of ice cream was minimal. I mean they didn’t even have vanilla? No shakes, no bananas and no soft serve. Definitely not worth the trip or money they charge.
If you’re closed then don’t put sign outside. We were here at 3:40 and business still wasn’t open – guy in store next door couldn’t have been more rude about me asking. Won’t drive back
16. The Mill and Company
Address: 13128 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Every time we come to Florida we come here!! We tell everyone that we know that is coming to the area to stop in. Would totally drive from Tennessee to come to this shop.
The owners and employees are the sweetest you will ever meet and the food and drinks are amazing.
This is my favorite coffee shop of all time!! Hailey and sobrina are the best and their dirty chai is the best!!!
Cutest little coffee shop! They always make my drink perfectly and I love the cozy vibe
Apparently on Sunday they may close at 3 instead of 4 cuz they feel like it. Glad we drove out all the way out here for this review..
Cute place- renovations really elevated the atmosphere. Very nice staff. Used to love coming here when it used to be the coffee mill- coffee was around $3 with tax.
However , it cost us $12 for two coffees. (I got a flavor shot in mine). I was a bit sticker shocked. Overpriced or a sign of the times/ inflation? Maybe. It’s just not affordable for me as a local.
I stopped by here with a friend to grab some drinks and lunch. I had a regular coffee with cream with a quiche and my friend had a tea. Immediately after I left I started feeling sick and had bathroom issues for the rest of the day. I live an hour away so driving home was brutal. I had nothing else to eat beforehand so it was something from here. Unsure if the creamer was expired or if the quiche was not prepared or stored properly. I also noticed on their Facebook page they use images from Google or other websites which could make others think that’s what the product looks like. Disappointed to say the least, especially with the prices. The place is very cute and cozy though, love the house. Might’ve just went on a bad day.
Really cool place to hang and read as there are so many little cozy nooks to hang out in, service was awesome as well but the coffee has a burnt taste and the food was blah… sad because I really wanted to love this place. Its so unique but terrible coffee. Awful!
17. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 923 McMullen Booth Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
Was looking for an acoustic guitar for my grandson who is just starting out. Got some great advice and they helped steer me in the right direction on my grandson’s first guitar. Fantastic service, good prices, and friendly knowledgeable staff. I’m sold on Sam Ash.
The service is good. Very quick to attend to you in my experience. The bearded salesman (Joe?) in the guitar room has always been so helpful anytime I’m there! I recommend.
This is my go to music store in the Tampa area.
The people are extremely helpful and friendly, unfortunately the selections are limited to mostly lower end gear for guitars, drums and recording equipment like mics. The were a few funky older used guitars and bass but nothing that made me dive for my wallet.
Great place place
The staff and teachers are incredible and professional. Teachers are talented.I have two boys 14 and 10 year olds, they take guitar and drum lessons from Corey and they love it! Corey is very knowledgeable and makes the lessons fun. My boys love him. But the building is literally falling apart and is in dire need of renovations.
Customer service is a lost cause. People just sitting around not helping customers. And they wonder why Amazon is taking all their business.
bought a guitar, and the associate added a $120 repair plan after I declined to add it. I guess I should have went back and said something; however the associate should have just not done that in the first place after I said “no”. Can’t blame em too much the world as we know it is crumbling under our feet and everyone is selfish
I hate leaving bad reviews, but it’s deserved. The staff was unwelcoming and seemed like a bunch of people called off. It literally felt like a giant storage unit band practice got done, and equipment was just laying around disorganized. There were dead, belly up, roaches laying on the floor, and the vibe just sucked hard. This place used to be awesome. What the hell happened? Lol. Guitar Center is smaller but way better, staff, smell and vibe.
18. Going Native Golf Cart Rentals
Address: 336 La Hacienda Dr, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
great company and awesome golf carts that made our vacation even more enjoyable.
Beautiful cart, excellent communication, flawless transaction and remarkable customer service!
We rented a golf cart from Melanie and had the best time cruising around the beautiful Indian Rocks Beach!! Service was great, her and her family are a delight to work with, and the carts themselves were beyond our expectations! Will definitely rent again next time we are in town ❤️
Owner clarified a situation where we mistook him for another company. Impressed how he handled the situation. Stand up guy
Sorry for the confusion
We just purchased our canoe recently and i have to say that we love the great viewing ability that we get seeing everything below you is amazing vs a traditional canoe or kayak our whole family loves it
I am onboard with Taylor….. these negative comments are beyond juvenile and to the driver, the law is clear, if you aren’t passing, move the hell over. I get places faster in the far right lane because of the people who need driving 101 lessons.
Back on topic, I REALLY hope to find a good used kayak because not sure my health and body will even allow me to use one, but I want one and don’t want to rent one. Just how I roll!!
Waiting patiently for July!!!
Horribly rude business. Do NOT use them!!
Never used them but one of there employees or their prostaff who drives a blue suburban is not a safe driver on the road. Cutting people off tailgating.
What a shame. Have you heard the term defamation of character? You do not deserve to be in business. However, you do deserve to be publicly shamed!
20. Island Attitudes IRB
Address: 1519 Gulf Blvd Suite 2, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785 , Indian Rocks Beach , Florida , United States
The guy that runs this place is great! I’ve been buying t-shirts frome this place for years. Good quality shirts that last….gotta love it!
Cute store with lots of great souvenirs!
Small t-shirt and souvenir store. Bought 4 t-shirts for $20. I would recommend
Great shop! Owner so nice and helpful. Good quality clothing.
Store is overpriced, cramped and smells terrible. Owner is rude and ignorant. Do not recommend this beach store at all! Go a few blocks in either direction to the other beach stores on Gulf Blvd.
Bought an XL “Lifeguard” tank top on vacation after being assured by the owner that it was preshrunk. Washed it once when I got home. It became a medium, maybe large. I asked over the phone if he’d replace it. He said he’d have to see which tank top it was. I texted him a photo. He said he didn’t have it in stock in XXL. I said I’d take a different tank. He never responded back. The hat I bought there was fine. Bottom line: He was mistaken or lied and didn’t make it right.
Beware: The owner at this store is extremely rude, bizarre, unprofessional, mean and is not fit for working in customer service. I would give zero stars if I could. I have never written a negative review before in my life, for what it’s worth, but want to help prevent others from being disrespected and potentially putting themselves in a scary/dangerous situation. I recommend checking out Island Attitudes a short drive away in Clearwater Beach instead. The staff there is very kind and worthy of your business. The better selection of items offered there is a bonus!
