During the quarantine, I decided to work on an old dream – learning to play the harp. Cadence Music had in stock the brand and style harp I most want to play, and delivered it too. Everyone I spoke with was professional, efficient, and kind.
Staff are very helpful.
The best experience, thank you!
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
4. Tom Marcellis Guitar Studio
Address: 13601 McGregor Blvd #12, Fort Myers, FL 33919 , Iona , Florida , United States
Met Tom and took my first lesson today. Great guy and patient and knowledge teacher. Unfortunately he is located too far for me to continue taking lessons with him. My loss.
Tom is an awesome guy with nothing but passion for what he does. He can play such a wide variety of songs from Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead to juju on the beat (yeah I’m not kidding he will teach anybody any song) He is super kind and has a great personality. Going to any other place to learn the gift of playing an instrument would be a mistake. Great guy, Great studio, Amazing soul. 10/10 recommend
Tom is a very talented musician and does a wonderful job teaching my daughter piano. I’d recommend him to anybody
Tom is a great teacher and great guitar player. Enjoy the lessons while learning a lot. Would highly recommend Tom to students of any age.
Great lesson, great communication. I’m excited to continue working with him.
If you want to have your child dissapointed after being surprised with a guitar lesson only to get to his location- he is a No Show!!
How do you ever redeem your self after a dissapointing 1st lesson..No Lesson.
We even asked how do we confirm…he said just show up.we did.
I would not entrust my child to someone who can’t communicate and does not care if they dissapoint the kids.
Im just hoping the next “professional” i try is really a professional!
8. Tech-Tronics
Address: 4224 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Iona , Florida , United States
I rented a PA system from Tech-Tronics and not only were they very professional and accommodating they were very reasonably priced. The equipment was all I needed and more. They helped with everything that I needed to make the event happen!
100% exceptional service A+++
Here you can found anything about music equipment or electronics, rent or buying and if they don’t have it they’ll found it
Very good services
So far so good
This business it’s been here for years. It’s a good option if you need some party equipment rental.
Top of the line best place I’ve been to, the guy that runs the place actually cares about his customers and their progress in music. Best place in the cape no doubt.
Stopped by on a whim, Frank is great and I love the PRS he sold me. 5 Stars for sure.
Great little place with knowledgeable staff. CHEAPEST GUITAR STRINGS I’VE FOUND IN TOWN! Not a lot in stock, but they will order in.
Stopped in today to check this place out only to find a ‘We Fear COVID’ notice on the door. LOSERS!! Can’t believe people in the music industry act this way!!
Drove all the way to the store and closed at noon on a Friday.
11. Russian-European Piano & Vocal Academy in Fort Myers
Irene is wonderful, my daughter has been studying piano with Irene for four years. Irene challenges Kirsten and she plays the piano beautifully. Highly recommend Irene.
When I first came to Miss Irene, I had no prior piano experience. Within a year, I was able to play proper piano scales and perform a full classical piece from memory.
Miss Irene cares tremendously about each of her students and she trains all of her students to be able to play as professional pianists. She is so amazing and I truly feel blessed to have her as my teacher.
Both my boys ages 12 and 6 take lessons with Ms.Irene. If you want professional piano/voice training, this is the place to go. They had been to other local music academy’s and this is the only instructor that has given them long lasting quality training. I highly recommend this academy.
I bought a trombone from here and I love it! I was very pleased with the service and I can’t wait to start my music lessons!
I have been taking electric guitar lessons with Mr Music for s year and a half now. I love it! Love the people… my teacher and the business!
My daughter has been taking guitar lessons here for over a year and I we are so pleased with the progress! She enjoys going and her teacher, Hunter, is fantastic!
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
14. Steve Farst Live Acoustic Entertainment
Address: 14053 Northumberland Dr SW, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Iona , Florida , United States
The best of the best. A true artist and performer, he takes any event to the next level. Cheers!
Just had the pleasure of hearing Steve and a group of Fort Myers musicians including his friend Heather Brooks and too many others to name at YABO Restaurant. We were eavesdropping on Heather & Derek’s engagement celebration thanks to Heather’s generosity.
Okay, we are tourists but we are from the Toronto Canada area and know great music when we hear it – so besides our Fort Myers buddy Danny Sinoff – we can’t think of another place to hang out and listen to great music. Steve will be back Friday so if you are in the area do yourself a favor and head over to YABO!
Always a pleasure to hear him play. Highly recommend having him play at your next event or gathering.
15. Jay & Kay’s Organ & Piano Co.
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd Ste 1B, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Iona , Florida , United States
Good people. Knowledgeable. Family operation. Competitive pricing. Kind & helpful.
That does it for me. Highly recommended!
Diane & Rosa make me smile everytime. Thankful for them
Delightful! Can’t wait to learn everything that this instrument can do.
This is more of a music school than a music store if that makes sense. Sure, there is some sheet music and instruments for sale, but it’s obvious that they are for the student teacher relationship. The staff guy was pretty nice to me and I got a good vibe of the place though, just not really my cup of tea
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
16. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 8991 Crown Bridge Way, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Iona , Florida , United States
My son Joshua started learning piano at TR Music and Voice Lessons last year, and he loves every moment of it! Ms. Adams is incredibly patient and makes each lesson fun yet challenging.
It was my first visit, but I could tell from their interactions with customers that they have a reputation for a well-liked and well-respected establishment for buying guitars and accessories as well as receiving service on same. Even if you’re not a musician (I definitely am not), I recommend visiting just for the experience!
TR Music has provided me with a safe and supportive environment to explore my passion for music. The teachers genuinely care about their students’ growth and tailor each lesson to suit individual needs.
Taylor Robinson is a marketing company. That’s it. They’re not local. They pay their teachers 40% of what they charge the customer. Teacher does all the work and driving and TR keeps more than half the money for making a website and stealing business away from local musicians and stores.
17. Rick Gerstein
Address: 9870 Owlclover St, Fort Myers, FL 33919 , Iona , Florida , United States
People there are best no pressure they let the equipment do the talking and prices are good.
Very helpful today.
This store is the best. I drive 20 miles further to go to this store instead the sarasota store. People that work here a lot nicer and have more knowable about the equipment.
No help in the drum room. Like ever.
Well stocked Guitar Center that’s well staffed by cool knowledgeable people. Can’t ask for more in a Guitar Center I guess.
Good service, great selection. Knowledgeable staff
Maybe the worst Guitar Center I’ve ever been to. Note:I’ve been to many Guitar Centers all over the country and this is the smallest with almost exclusively cheap junk and only a small handful of decent guitars which are out of reach. How this Guitar Center is still in business is baffling
Waited 15 minutes at I guess was the counter, then left.
Worst service. No knowledge of products.
19. Educators Music
Address: 110 NE 2nd Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Iona , Florida , United States
This is always a go to place if i need stuff for my guitars. Nice people.
Best prices in town, even beats internet deals most times. Chris and Josh are the people to talk to.
My daughter had clarinet lessons here and we rented to own a clarinet – they have always been easy to communicate with and super awesome – I recommend them!!
Decades old institution in SWFL. Quality teaching for various musical paths and a modest store with competitive pricing. Fun laid back cafe with live music rounds out the experience of this gem in cape coral!
What can I say about this place ? I called told them I needed my tone pot replaced and 3 way switch they told me it would be about 3 days if they didn’t have to order the parts and about a week if they did have to order the parts.
So after a week went by I called to check on the status and the woman told me it wasn’t ready yet and that it hadn’t even been looked at yet that it would be at least 3 weeks before it was done.
I told her the woman I originally talked to said 3 days to a week she then told me that noone told me that and they wouldn’t tell me that because repairs were at least 3 weeks out even though my 14 y/o daughter was standing right there with me and heard the same conversation.. these people are liars to say the least they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door..
I have since taken the guitar to guitar center and they fixed it while I waited 45 mins later the guitar was done and I was happy !
STAY FAR AWAY FROM EDUCATORS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!
I couldn’t believe the horrific experience my family had at this place would not recommend. Terrible management and employees. One of employees called my mom a racial slur and everyone just laughed when she asked for a manager. They also made fun of her vehicle to her face . All of this unprovoked, It’s sad what kind of people still can run a business. If you are a p.o.c don’t step foot here .
Sad to say one of the worst experiences as a consumer I’ve ever had. I’m a 47 year old new drummer (less than a year) who bought a Simmons electronic kit from a private sale. My ride cymbal stopped working and I went here for help with troubleshooting the problem, remember I’m new! The employee that initially helped me was AWESOME! I explained the problem, he offered a possible solution that I hadn’t thought of, and even pulled up Simmons site to offer more help. The owner very impatiently and abruptly interuppted, told his employee “he can wait”, as the owner motioned my direction, and instructed him to handle a phone call!!! Since when do you interrupt a customer in your store, standing right in front of you, who may end up purchasing something to handle a phone call!?!?!?!?!? The owner very impatiently and disinterested listened to my story, looked at his computer, ran the cursor over the “800 number ” for Simmons and said ” I don’t carry or service Simmons products, you’ll have to call customer support”. I was half way out the door as he was saying this!!! Kudos to the employee for attempting to help a new musician!!! But PATHETIC service from the owner. So what they don’t carry simmons?! Maybe someday I’ll be ready to upgrade to a fancy electronic or acoustic kit and need a good store. NOT THIS PLACE EVER!!! I LOVE to support local business instead of big box stores, but Educators will never get a dime from me.
20. Total Music Source
Address: 901 East Industrial Circle #10, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Iona , Florida , United States
Amazing customer service. I have now purchased a guitar and amp from this company. They always answer the phone and any question I may have about whatever product I am thinking about getting. They also ship out the very same day. All of that is great and would land this store a solid 5 star review…. But it gets better. On the guitar I purchased one of the tuners was slightly bent, nothing major but still a small issue. I contacted the store about this and there were no questions just solutions. They didn’t give me a run around or a hard time they immediately offered ways to fix it. I went with the simplest solution and less than a week later I had a brand new tuner straight from Ibanez. If you are in Florida or anywhere in the United States, this is the music store to get your gear from.
Brody was great helped me out with strings. Like the store better than guitar center
Very overpriced, better off going to Guitar Center in Fort Myers. 🙁
10:17 am not open…site says open incorrect.
They sent me a different banjo than I ordered the one they sent me was $30 cheaper I could have bought it anywhere and they refused to give me a creditor answer my emails be careful when buying from the store
