I love Tobacco Shop very friendly service every time I”ve gone in.
This is the best place to buy all you smoking needs. Prices are the best in town with a very extensive selection of fine tobbaco and cigars. Friendly staff and a drive thru that was recently added. Family owned and operated. I would of gave 5 stars but it’s not wheelchair accessible. But that’s the only thing I could see wrong.
Good place to pick up a cigar prices are fitting but not amazing. Good selection of booze and beers along with other supplies for your other bad habits.
It’s convenient & has drive through shopping.
Online stated they were open until 9 pm
Would leave a 0 if it was possible! I have spent over 50 dollars there in the Delta 8-10 carts and batteries, was told it was the best battery they had and it didn’t work so I went to ask to exchange it and they said they don’t do that but I’d it was a pack of cigarettes they would exchange it if something was wrong then the carts hasn’t smokes.it because of the battery not working and it’s leaking.and almost half gone, they also told.me.they were going to do anything about it.and didn’t care if I cameback so they just lost my business and I’ll be telling everyone i know not to gbuy them from.there either!! It used to be a good store until the new owners took over now I will never be back!!
2. Alton Music Exchange
Address: 556 E Broadway, Alton, IL 62002 , Jersey County , Illinois , United States
Jared is a stand up guy who knows his stuff. Recommend this place to any musician in the area, beginner to seasoned, who wants expert advice and their equipment to be in good hands.
I’ve always used the gear i have obtained from there. Decent prices, great service, and best of all in my case; local!!!
if you want good service , go see this guy, that is all I can say
3. Halpin Music Company
Address: 88 Northport Dr, Alton, IL 62002 , Jersey County , Illinois , United States
Just got my first guitar yesterday and had broken a string by trying to get it back in tune today. Took it to Halpin and they had the string replaced and also adjusted the neck within 10 minutes. It cost me a whole $2. I will definitely be going back when I need service or need to purchase stuff for my new guitar. Great customer service.
Had just what I went for
Buy local when you can! Give these guys a chance, they have great service 🙂
Extremely friendly and helpful. But they have trouble ordering the right parts. I have been there several times now and I still haven’t got 1 of the 2 parts yet.
3 weeks, to have simple repair done. Repair tech in Centralia is discriminatory against people with disabilities, and is a hateful man. He refused to work on my horn after it had been in the Centralia shop for two and a half weeks. They never called me about anything, I had to call them every time to find out any information about my horn. Left several messages that was never returned. Ended up having to have my horn worked on in the Alton shop, I had to to drive TWO and a HALF HOUR OVER 200 MI and pay full price for a repair with no discount even after the tech in Centralia was belligerent and derelict in his responsibilities to fix my sax after it was there for over 2 NEVER AGAIN
Bad experience. Our band teacher left my daughters instrument there last Thursday. They never even touched it and her band recital is tomorrow. Their representative never bothered to contact the school or teacher. We drove all the way to Alton and took it to Miller’s Music on Swansea. He got it fixed enough to be ready for band recital that night! What a miracle worker. Halpins said it would take them weeks to get it fixed. OMG!
The clerk at Halpins offered an apology after I mentioned the situation. Nothing from the owners themselves. We don’t treat our own customers that way, speaking as a business owner. Sad to say, some businesses just don’t care.
It seems as though the technicians that repair instruments can’t repair the instruments correctly without having to send them out for repairs. The customer has to tell and show what exactly is broken or needs repairs. Th oo bad they are the only musical instrument repair shop in Alton
Dale Kelley 92 years old. Surrendered his driver’s license last year. First experience shopping while driving this electric cart. He had great fun!
Nice Walmart enjoyed the visit
Love the new check out lanes. A lot faster then in the past.
Not sure what the heck is going on with the owners of wal mart in Jerseyville, Il. But since they’ve been remodeling no one can find anything and what’s with the check out lanes? I know a lot of people would actually like to be checked out by a human being, now there’s I think like 3 check out lanes with cashiers still on them. I bet ol’ man Walton’s rolling in his grave by now.
I work for walmart. As I was visiting this store specifically, the morning crew they have are some of the nicest ive ever had the pleasure of working with. A nice store. Recommend for those who around the area.
1 of my favorite places. Their black friday deals suck. They barley had anything, but its still my favorite go 2 store for food, cloths, ect. Their PJs r waaay 2 expensive tho.
Can’t always find what you need and the staff are not to well educated. They fire good employees and keep bad ones. I’ve seen drugs delt in the parking lot.
*UPDATE: 3yrs later and service has improved! They got new management. We are all very sorry that the last store manager passed on last year. That’s the person who started changing it all around. They will be missed. The newest manager seamed to be doing a good job. It’s not the best Walmart I’ve shopped at but it’s by far not the worst either. Most employees are happy to help any way they can. Prices are ok and I don’t dread going there. In fact, sometimes I’m there longer than I need to be just to walk around and stay out of the weather just to clear my head. In the winter I’ve seen our last Jersey Co judge use Walmart overnight as a place to walk to get exercise. (He gave me the idea)
I have issues with this Walmart routinely. Pricing issues, rude employees and other mishaps. I avoid it if possible.
I find it really stupid you can’t buy alcohol with your family because they aren’t 21 like me buying it and them being with me means I’m giving it to them because “we are together”
6. State Street Antiques & Cllctb
Address: 115 N State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jersey County , Illinois , United States
This is a fairly large shop with an upstairs. All of the booths seem to stick to a basic theme. It’s clean, organized, and the prices seem fairly reasonable. If you need any vintage cast iron, antique decor, or knick knacks, this is a place you’ll want to stop at.
Small little gem, love the old building and the unique items you find there.
We loved this shop. Plenty of variety to choose from. 2 levels. Nice attendants.
Very helpful & knowledgeable people. They have preserved some of the history of the building & it’s former residents. Lots of history to walk through, I love that.
Very cool oldies shopping. Bought 4 items at very good price. Friendly and ready to help find an item.
Drove all the way up here and it was closed. Maybe call ahead to see if they are actually open since they can’t figure out how to update their store hours.

Really great shop. The staff is amazing. They held a taylor record for me. And gave me back a call after they got the shipment in. Definitely check this place out
Great atmosphere and a great selection!
Very nice environment and staff. Hip hop selection could be a bit better though
High marked up prices and half rude owner putting things back right in front of me while I’m looking at records. They do have some rare stuff however. 3/5
I live an hour away but still hit this place off and on when out record hunting. I always leave with something. Cool place with a decent selection. It’s worth coming in to browse.
Meh :/

Awesome studio! Caleb is a musical genius!
15. Mojo’s Music
Address: 144 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025 , Jersey County , Illinois , United States
They repaired my guitar quick and at a great price, i am happy and will return
Knowledgeable and friendly.
Friendly helpful saff. Wide selection of instruments
Lots of inventory and they are willing to deal
Fun shop for sure! Eye candy hanging on all the surrounding walls. The shop’s main focus is guitars so it’s definitely the place to go if that’s your go to instrument. Workers are knowledgeable and always very helpful. It’s no breaking news that guitar shops tend to give off awkward, intimidating vibes (understandably so when you visit any shop with high pricetagged merch) and I do have to try and hide my feelings of squirminess while there, but I enjoy going and will continue to.
After years of taking time off from playing music, band break up really made me step away, I’ve decided to look around for a new guitar and rig, have gone to Mojo’s, have purchase three terrific instruments from them in the past 15 years, never had a bad experience, today, however, was not the same. I walked into a store deflated of its prior pulse, I was seen and ignored, walked around looking for what would be my next stage guitar. Two employees, yet no time to greet, or attempt to make a sale, to show products, I even made an attempt by asking what’s new, even then not a singular spark of interest in my affairs with them was of significance. I walked out of there for the last time, sad to see such a place become so cold and uninviting.
I went in to get my guitar repaired, the staff members sat at the counter and talked and ignored me for several minutes. Then after they finally looked at my guitar it turned out to be a very expensive repair so I decided to just buy a new guitar. One would think this would be cue to start selling a guitar, instead they ignored me some more and made me feel awkward for playing any guitar they had. So I went to swing city music right down the road and they instantly came to help and found a guitar that was right for me.
16. Redbox
Address: 1316 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jersey County , Illinois , United States
Great workers, customer service and got my order right
Quick service. The order was completely correct.
Food was really fresh and hot. My iced coffee was perfect. Staff was very attentive as they are showing customers how to use the new kiosk machines. Lots of staff to help out. I was asked if I needed anything and someone came around to take my trash. Very impressed as most McDonalds do not do this
The best part if this McDonald’s are the employees. Always friendly, courteous and helpful. A great way to start the work day with a friendly face!!
The spicy chicken sandwich was pretty good.
It’s a McDonald’s. What can I say. I drove through, it took forever. That’s about all.
The slowest mcdonalds ever. Spend 20 min in drive thru. Even when they aren’t busy. Worst mcdonalds ever. Need retraining, obviously don’t know meaning of fast food!!!
Was no to take may money at thr first window. So i left. Trid of waiting
Super talented and I know this guy is going places can’t wait to see more work from him. Highly recommended
Ive been using Yda Beats for years and let me tell you. I still don’t know why, ion think he know either. But besides that beat have gotten better and better. very reliable source. right now im only getting beats from Yda Beats. until further notice I’m waiting on the next beat.
A creative guy that is willing to work with you and try new things. Has a really good understanding of sampling and a loves big 808s but, is able to pull things back into a more boom bap/ traditional hip hop sound.
Has mixed and master one of my projects super happy with the outcome for what it was worth. Used his beats in my YouTube videos and in my video campaigns. Totally worth purchasing and great to work with!
YDA Beat is a unique and creative talent in the producer market! Competitive pricing, professional skill set and lighting fast turnaround!
19. The Music House

Great prices and knowledgeable staff. My son takes piano lessons here and has learned a surprising amount in just a few months. Highly recommended
Please note, The Music House is not affiliated with Musicians Connection. We are a separate business.
Greg is an expert and does an amazing job. Do not go to Guitar Center. Come here ask for Greg, prices are usually cheaper and the work is done right and fast. They also staff professional music teachers for any level of skill.
Up and coming venue. It has a great staff who are committed to making your visit a memorable experience . It’s a combination sports bar and casual dining. Good drink specials.
Nice place to go ..
Currently taking cello lessons with John. He is patient and very knowledgeable. Really enjoying this musical learning experience.
