I went in today, a Saturday afternoon, not knowing what I wanted, just thst I wanted to stop smoking cigarettes and the lady working was so helpful. I’ll definitely be back. She helped me pick a device that is right for me and my situation. Awesome customer service!
Friendly employees. Helpfull clean and lots of variety.
Sure don’t get many winners on scratch off lottery tickets
A VERY GOOD SELECTION OF CIGARS AND TOBBACCO LIGHTERS 4 out of 5 * the reason for the 4 out out of 5 is a person can’t smoke inthere anymore 🙁
Wonderful, helpful employee’s.
Would leave a 0 if it was possible! I have spent over 50 dollars there in the Delta 8-10 carts and batteries, was told it was the best battery they had and it didn’t work so I went to ask to exchange it and they said they don’t do that but I’d it was a pack of cigarettes they would exchange it if something was wrong then the carts hasn’t smokes.it because of the battery not working and it’s leaking.and almost half gone, they also told.me.they were going to do anything about it.and didn’t care if I cameback so they just lost my business and I’ll be telling everyone i know not to gbuy them from.there either!! It used to be a good store until the new owners took over now I will never be back!!
Online stated they were open until 9 pm
2. Jerseyville Pawn Shop
Address: 700 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
Astoundingly massive collection of antiques, VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs, furniture, musical instruments & gear, video games, and much much more. They also have a second floor with lots of stuff as well. Would highly recommend to anyone living in Jersey or Greene County, you will definitely want to come back here again after your first visit. I’ve bought things from here plenty of times and have never once been disappointed by their services.
I’ve pawned a 360 with games and PS3 in original box with games got more than I expected. First time I pawned anything they made it comfortable for a first timer. Highly recommend
Great place !! Reasonable prices!!!
Decent selection, fair prices on most things. I’d visit them again
Cool building
Fair prices and good service from the owner
Not open
The guitar I got was damaged. Dents and on two I can see the wood interior. I will attempt another item but if its messed up like my guitar I will most likely never buy from here until he can prove that everything is taken care of with love.
What is the point of having a number up if you’re not gonna answer it even after 10 tries? Ridiculous and unprofessional.
3. Walmart Supercenter
Address: 1316 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
Never a dull moment at Wal Mart. There is always something to make you laugh or scratch your head in amazement….sometimes both.
They are starting to remodel. Everything is all messed up. Not good
Jerseyville was So much better than the other Walmart stores in Godfrey and Wood River.
Wal-Mart sucks
It was ridiculous
Went here as clearly stated in photo these were clearanced for $2 but employee didn’t bother to take down clearance sign and they were ringing up 3.98 said they would give me 1 piece of clothing for 2 had to pay full price for rest false advertisement, or bad training.
4. State Street Antiques & Cllctb
Address: 115 N State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
Awesome building, so much history under one roof!! You will love all the antiques they have to offer!!
Amazing place to find that special antique. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to go back to see what I can find.
I went back and got my wookie clock.
Very cool oldies shopping. Bought 4 items at very good price. Friendly and ready to help find an item.
We loved this shop. Plenty of variety to choose from. 2 levels. Nice attendants.
A lot of good things there if you want antiques.
Drove all the way up here and it was closed. Maybe call ahead to see if they are actually open since they can’t figure out how to update their store hours.
5. Redbox
Address: 705 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
The lady helping us out and taking our money was so energetic and respectful some of the best customer service I have had In a long time they were out of sweet tea because some one messed up the recipe and instead of using that tea like some other places the throw it out and made a fresh batch I got a coke because I couldn’t wait but the staff there was great
Yummmmmmy food little greasy but its yood
The drive up forgets to give you napkins.
Also a big mac and fries cost more than a big mac fries and a coke, why?
5 stars
Poor food
Needs to be cleaner!
By far one of the worst McDonalds I’ve been too. Constantly over a 15-20 min wait for food. That’s not fast food! Staff is many angry teens who hate being there and show all of its customers this. Whoever is managing this place needs to be fired.
The food was warm to cold. Don’t like the keosic.
9. JCH Foundation Resale Shop
Address: 201 S Jefferson St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
We always go home with something from JCH Foundation Resale and the prices are good, the staff friendly and helpful and the shelves clean and organized.
Store is nicely done. Very clean. Workers are very nice.
They say it’s a consignment shop on Google they need to change the advertising. They should be able to helping the homeless around Illinois..theres many that cant afford to pay anything, down on ur luck means reach out..give a hand uphave a yardsale..price them so their obtainable..ull have plenty of business
10. DJ’s Pub & Grill
Address: 117 W Prairie St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
Service was a little bit slow but it was busy due to the music festival That’s going on this weekend
This is about the only place in town that gets your order the way you want it.
I was able to get my order without having to go through the drive thru.
S l ow service
Went to jerseyvill to deliver a cat to tnt performance, grabbed a bite at dairy queen, great burger and really liked the cheese curds and prices
Last hamburger I got there was really dry and had been cooked for a while.
Can’t get orders right
I hadn’t been to DQ in a few months or more, and decided to stop by after my workout. I was genuinely confused when I heard “$17.11” for my #8 large. Of course I paid it, I was hungry, but will I be back? No. Don’t get me wrong, DQ is okay food. But is it worth $20 for one person? Not a chance. Iive 2 blocks away and had to re-microwave my microwaved burger bc it was cold. It’s safe to say they are the most expensive fast food in town, even surpassing some (most) of the sit down joints for a burger and fries. I can go almost anywhere in town and get a similar meal for 10-12$. I don’t know if the local branch owners set the prices, or if it’s a corporate thing, but the greed has gotten out of hand.
The last few times we have been in the restaurant it’s been terrible service with the rude workers and horrible wait time for just 3 blizzards.
13. George’s Local Brew
Address: 205 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
My nine year old and I went to rent an instrument for beginning band. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They made sure to double check everything. Ensuring that we had the correct instrument and book. I really appreciated how kind they were to my son. Highly recommended.
Very friendly. Worked with me on scheduling and made things very easy.
Very eager to satisfy customers
Had just what I went for
Great service
My son’s saxophone has been there a number of times. The last time he got it back the band director said that it wasn’t fixed. It went back and still hasn’t been fixed for 3 weeks! I have traveled down there in the past and had several words with them. This is the last time it goes back!
Bad experience. Our band teacher left my daughters instrument there last Thursday. They never even touched it and her band recital is tomorrow. Their representative never bothered to contact the school or teacher. We drove all the way to Alton and took it to Miller’s Music on Swansea. He got it fixed enough to be ready for band recital that night! What a miracle worker. Halpins said it would take them weeks to get it fixed. OMG!
The clerk at Halpins offered an apology after I mentioned the situation. Nothing from the owners themselves. We don’t treat our own customers that way, speaking as a business owner. Sad to say, some businesses just don’t care.
3 weeks, to have simple repair done. Repair tech in Centralia is discriminatory against people with disabilities, and is a hateful man. He refused to work on my horn after it had been in the Centralia shop for two and a half weeks. They never called me about anything, I had to call them every time to find out any information about my horn. Left several messages that was never returned. Ended up having to have my horn worked on in the Alton shop, I had to to drive TWO and a HALF HOUR OVER 200 MI and pay full price for a repair with no discount even after the tech in Centralia was belligerent and derelict in his responsibilities to fix my sax after it was there for over 2 NEVER AGAIN
15. Tracey’s Saloon
Address: 901 IL-109, Jerseyville, IL 62052 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
Our bartender Cathy was awesome and food is lots of size and great tasting
Was driving through town and stopped for a drink. No pickle shots but beer was cold and also served food. Friendly service as well
It’s a nice place to go to but every time I go in there and I have to visit the restroom I come close to hitting my head on the ceiling due to how low the ceiling is and also due to my height which is 6 ft 3 and the ceiling is not high enough for me to not have to duck my head when I have to use the restroom. And now on to the gambling area. The gambling area doesn’t need to be blocked on the weekends when you guys have a band for 2 reasons: 1 is you can move those tables to a different area of the bar and 2 is blocking the gambling area is a fire hazard because then the gamblers won’t be able to get out of there and they’ll end up dying in the fire
I will never come to this bar again talked to the server told her we were from Alton and specifically asked me questions about it, next thing you know we’re pulling out of town surrounded by cops!!!! So idk what kind of establishment your running but I know your bartender is running for the cops so just so everyone knows!!!! Were driving a brand new 2020 with full insurance and the old man only had a few drinks. This bar is corrupt stay away!!!
Food is WAY over priced for the amount of food that you get. They charge meal price for a finger dish amount.
cold beer, but watch your head in the men’s room!
16. Mojo’s Music
Address: 144 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025 , Jerseyville , Illinois , United States
Absolutely love mojos, they’re great guys, I deal with Turk who is awesome to work with , and Bob the owner, just a great place with years of knowledge
I went in to get a string fixed on my husbands guitar and came out with a Kazoo for my oldest daughter. It only took a few minutes to put the string on (the employees did it for me and we so courteous!) and mean while I looked in there clearance section and found the perfect valentine’s gift for my husband! I plan to come back very soon so my husband can get a stand and case for his guitar. What a wonderful little store!
While I am used to handling two kids a stroller and their equipment if you are not as savvy I recommend you park on the same side of the street as the shop as traffic is very nuts!
Lots of inventory and they are willing to deal
Fun shop for sure! Eye candy hanging on all the surrounding walls. The shop’s main focus is guitars so it’s definitely the place to go if that’s your go to instrument. Workers are knowledgeable and always very helpful. It’s no breaking news that guitar shops tend to give off awkward, intimidating vibes (understandably so when you visit any shop with high pricetagged merch) and I do have to try and hide my feelings of squirminess while there, but I enjoy going and will continue to.
I went in to get my guitar repaired, the staff members sat at the counter and talked and ignored me for several minutes. Then after they finally looked at my guitar it turned out to be a very expensive repair so I decided to just buy a new guitar. One would think this would be cue to start selling a guitar, instead they ignored me some more and made me feel awkward for playing any guitar they had. So I went to swing city music right down the road and they instantly came to help and found a guitar that was right for me.
After years of taking time off from playing music, band break up really made me step away, I’ve decided to look around for a new guitar and rig, have gone to Mojo’s, have purchase three terrific instruments from them in the past 15 years, never had a bad experience, today, however, was not the same. I walked into a store deflated of its prior pulse, I was seen and ignored, walked around looking for what would be my next stage guitar. Two employees, yet no time to greet, or attempt to make a sale, to show products, I even made an attempt by asking what’s new, even then not a singular spark of interest in my affairs with them was of significance. I walked out of there for the last time, sad to see such a place become so cold and uninviting.
