The guys that work there kill it. Super helpful and nice. Always answer questions and never rude. Favorite music store in Colorado for sure
This place has amazing gear and its always priced reasonably. Definitely recommend to musicians trying to save money on gear!
Its usually great. Had a terrible staff that I hadn’t seen before last time I went. I won’t go back.
Musical Go Round is a great place to find certain used gear at a decent price if you know what you are looking for. It is a fun place to look around. I have bought guitars, sound and drum gear over there. I like the fact that they have a variety of instruments / other gear there too. They also do guitar set ups here too. I have to give Doug props for making my old Squire Affinity play nice again.
UPDATE:
Store owner Jason followed up on his promise to resolve the situation. I stopped by the other day and Jason refunded the purchase in full and made this right. The receipt doesn’t mention needing to have original packaging for returns as Dan originally said, so the return should have been accepted within the 10 days we first returned but because store owner Jason did make this right in the end I am therefore changing my rating from one star to four stars.
Bought a sax mouthpiece for the saxophonist performing for an event I hosted. The mouthpiece was defective and she was unable to perform meaning the trio could not perform either. We took the mouthpiece back the next day and manager Jason would not accept return of the defective mouthpiece even with the receipt in hand claiming it there was nothing wrong even though the saxophonist is a top performer in the area. We would expect better from a nationwide chain.
Bought a DJ mixer online and paid shipping. Called up after 3 days as I didn’t receive any update about my order. Guy told me that they sold the mixer at the store and will just issue me a refund. What a joke of a store.
I contacted the store online before buying the product online to make sure the store could deliver it within my timeframe. They assured me they would.
Now it’s the eve of their 2nd missed shipping opportunity and I won’t receive the gear in time. I had to purchase the item new and pay for overnight shipping to make sure I got it in time.
Between the purchase and now, the store had gone radio silent, despite my sending an additional email requesting information.
The upshot is that I purchased the gear through a reputable online dealer and will have my gear by Wednesday (today is Monday), rather than whenever the staff of this store decided to get around to it.
Btw… “Sorry dude” doesn’t cut it. Hope the store manager processes my refund with a greater sense of urgency and professionalism.
Do not buy anything used. The warranty is only good for sore credit. They sell you something broken or on the edge of broken and then you can only get store credit. The staff is very friendly and helpful but the used products are poor quality and worthless. I lost $200 to this store. The USB midi port did not work at all, wouldn’t even turn on. The akai mpk-25 controller stopped working properly after one month. I took very good care of these items. I would not waste your time on this scamming “must-be struggling” establishment. Especially if you are serious about music.
3. Music & Arts
Address: 7421 W Bowles Ave Suite 12, Littleton, CO 80123 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
Amazing experience!! The young man that helped me went above and beyond to help me figure out my 5th graders violin! We were able to send her performance bow out to be rehaired pay at pickup (a god send for this mama) and purchase a replacement bow (practice bow) 45$ plus tax also found the exact same rawson she needed and her shoulder rest! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to look over her violin and provide me answers to all my many questions that most would of been annoyed with! Definitely a customer for life now!!! ✌️
As director of Resonations Studio (and member of Columbine Music Teachers Association), Music & Arts is my GO TO place for all print music, sound equipment, and accessories.
If ever the print music (or level) I was searching for was not in stock, the staff called another branch or ordered it online for me. Preferring to buy new warranted sound equipment, I continue to consult their in-store/online inventory first for my studio.
The Littleton, CO store manager–Erin Coggins–is a gem! Erin was instrumental in acquiring approval from Music & Arts corporate to provide keyboards and sound equipment for “Christmas On the Keys” live performance event Columbine Music Teachers Association and SW Plaza Mall jointly organized recently. Thanks to Erin Coggins and Music & Arts, SW Plaza Mall, and CMTA performers the event unfolded magnificently.
Thank you!
Music & Arts Littleton rocks!
Very well thought selection of musical instruments and accessories here!
Even better is their service. I came in needing something that was not in stock, instead of just saying no, Hope (associate’s name) took it upon herself to locate the item at another branch and had it sent to this store, I received a call a couple days later and went down to pick it up. It is nice to have great service like this whatever the size of the store. I will return to Music & Arts in Littleton the next time I need anything musical.
They have a bunch of guitar paraphernalia, some keyboard, brass, and clarinet stuff, but nothing for oboe.
This is one of the best music store around the neighborhood. They even sale old music records and they also give lessons.
Low guitar selection. Great for beginners, but not top choice for a seasoned player.
Not very willing to help me. Very disappointed in this store.
We had trumpet lessons planned for over a month. We get a call TODAY that the instructor is not available any longer – same day as our first lesson. Ridiculous lack of communication and no advance notice – unorganized and disappointing. …………………..And it just got even worse. We rented a trumpet here despite the first experience – it lasted for 6 weeks – so took it back and we were told that since we didn’t buy the damage waiver, we would have to pay to have it fixed – the damage waiver clearly says it’s for loss or theft – we explained that we were given a defective instrument to begin with. It should last longer than 6 weeks when played 3 times a week. So we just left the trumpet at the store and they threatened to charge our credit card anyway. WOW! …..WORST experience ever – we do not recommend this place for lessons or rentals – worst customer service experience ever!
These people waisted my time and lied to me saying they have no strings what do ever, but I was literally in there like 2 hours before that and they were overloaded with strings. Maybe tell the truth. It will save you from bad reviews such as this one
4. Piano Pathways of Colorado, Inc.
Address: 10143 W Chatfield Ave Suite 3, Littleton, CO 80127 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
Since I was in the market for a gently used piano, I found Piano Pathways. They couldn’t have been more helpful and I absolutely love my piano!
We purchased a piano for our 8 year old to continue lessons. She was ready to move from a keyboard to a real piano. The folks at Pianos and Pianos were great, from showing me all my options to helping me get the piano delivered one week before Christmas. We just had the initial free piano tuning done and Joan was wonderful. This has been a great experience for us!
We were so pleased with our experience at Pianos N Pianos – we were pleased with their inventory and variety of excellent pianos at our price point when we went in, and then the customer service was great too. Both Damon and the owner, Ken, went above and beyond to try to take care of us, and it’s clear that they care about helping you to make sure you get the most out of your instrument and know how to properly take care of it with minimal expense to you over time. We got so much more out of it than just a piano as they are not people that are just about getting the sale. We’re thrilled with our piano and will be back to them if we want to upgrade at some point, as well as sending any of our friends and family who want a piano to them.
Bought a piano and had issues shortly after. They sent a tech to my house to assess the situation, but never got back to me. Ended up having to fix it by paying out of pocket.
Owner doesn’t get customer service
5. Pirisen Music Lessons – Littleton
Address: 9142 W Ken Caryl Ave Suite D-6, Littleton, CO 80128 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
My two sons take lessons at Pirisen Littleton on Ken Caryl. We have had a positive experience. Both boys like their teachers, Graham for guitar and Eric for piano. One son say that Graham is super helpful and is patient with him if he doesn’t learn something quickly. Eric relates well to my son who plays piano. He always communicates his progress. My son always enjoys lessons with him. Natalie, the manager, is very responsive to my questions. I highly recommend this place.
Natalie Galey was my eleven-year-old daughter’s voice teacher at Forte in Littleton. Here’s what my daughter had to say: Natalie was really easy to talk to, and she gave me freedom to sing the songs I wanted to without being judgmental. I like that she used our time for mostly singing and not only warm ups. She taught me how to do warm ups on my own, and she really pushed me to practice every day, which helped me improve.
My 6 year old son has been taking piano lessons with Diane Wieland for several months now. She is wonderful with him. She is patient and kind and keeps him challenging himself. Jordan the manager is also great. She is very responsive and friendly. I would definitely recommend Forte to both children and adults!
This is one of the nicest recording studios in a house I’ve ever seen in my entire life and I’ve been in tons… Patrick’s a professional and only has a professional facility first class highly recommend
They were very welcoming. The price was cheaper than I thought. When he was done he played my sons violin to show it works. Thank you Colorado Strings.
11. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 7320 S Sheridan Ct, Littleton, CO 80128 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
Moss has been above my expectations I’m a lover of music and the process learning but I’m a beginner and need a teacher with patient. Lloyd has been humble and giving me ideal examples on how to approach learning the guitar and in just over a month I’m enjoying the process of learning music. I really can’t imagine having a better instructor @ a reasonable price, definitely recommended. Also check out a great podcast: “why we love it” on Spotify to get perspective on classic and modern jams
The staff are wonderful. Very professional, courteous and thoughtful. Prices are good. Signed up both kids for lessons. Such a good experience with staff that my wife is even trying out a lesson! Renting both kids’ instruments from here too!
All the staff are great! The teachers are all so knowledgeable and the classes are both challenging and fun. It’s is a great place to keep kids active while also instilling a love of performance art. Their efforts to keep everyone safe and still keep kids involved during the pandemic has gone above and beyond.
Learning keyboard and piano has always been a dream of mine, and thanks to this instructor, I’m finally making progress. Her lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing me to learn at my own pace.
12. Mishek Piano Studio
Address: 9535 S Flower Way, Littleton, CO 80127 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
Valerie has been the piano teachers for our two children for the last 7 years. She is an accomplished pianist who strives to bring out the best in her students. She is kind, patient, encouraging, and our two children have learnt a lot from her, maturing into young pianists who are a joy to listen to! Valerie has helped our children develop a strong foundation in their musicianship. We are grateful to her for this lifelong skill that our children now possess!
Valerie is an excellent piano teacher who teaches in the southwest Denver area. Helping students to develop a lifelong love of piano and music is her teaching philosophy. She teaches students of all ages. We love the way she teaches our son, emphasizing detail and technique. Not only does she help her students build solid fundamental techniques, but also teaches them music theory and listening skills. She encourages students to participate in various competitions at appropriate levels and national guild events each year. She arranges occasional group lessons to help students learn from each other. She is excellent in teaching and dealing with the younger students. Her way of balancing patience and discipline is perfect for our son. We highly recommend her to families who want to help their children to learn and enjoy playing piano.
Valerie is a fantastic piano teacher, performer, and person! As a fellow teacher, I have heard and judged her students. They are always well-prepared, technically strong, and musically sensitive! But most importantly, Valerie cares about her students as people, striving to impart to them a love for music that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for an exceptional teacher, I highly recommend her!
13. Vinyl Valhalla Records
Address: 9729 W Coal Mine Ave unit x, Littleton, CO 80123 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
Friendly environment and unique selection of goods. This is a family run shop, definitely recommend shopping here for your holiday gifts instead of Walmart!
Do you guys sell record players?
I own this awesome little shop come see us
This small shop has a surprising number of new and used records for sale. The quality is there too, with a nice selection of most genres, including classical and jazz. Worth a visit, for sure.
I really like this shop. They have a great selection of antiques, knicknacks and records. Im just disapointed because almost everytime i go their their closed even though their website and store front says their open.
I wasn’t impressed. I couldn’t find anything due to the organization. Things were way overpriced and hard to find….
What a shame it was to drive over an hour to this location only for it to be closed. I see you are closed on Sunday but we came down yesterday at 4pm on a saturday no less to a sign saying you closed at 6, yet no one was there and another sign was placed over that one saying you were closed. Strange for a Saturday. Was looking forward to seeing your selection but guess not ♀️
Stands alone far above all other Colorado record stores….as the most ridiculously over-priced place to expand your vinyl collection.
They have some decent vinyl but it’s pretty overpriced. It would be an improvement if the shop attendant didn’t sing along with the radio LOL

Simply put, Resonations Piano Studios is awesome! No one cares for children and their learning of piano skills as well as appreciation of music more than Miss Vas. We have recommended several people over the years and we will continue to return each and every year. My daughter happily sits down to practice. I am so pleased.
Vas is a wonderful piano teacher—amazing with both children and adults! She’s incredibly knowledgeable and patient! I’m lucky to have found her amazing studio!!
16. Elite Sound Melody Music
Address: 3535 S Irving St, Englewood, CO 80110 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
If you are a music lover of any instrument, this is a need to go to place. I WOULD highly recommend it.
I had originally discovered this company years ago and formed a outstanding relationship with the owner, Gordon.
I drove over there the other day because I definitely wanted to give Gordon’s cause a donation. Gordon does this thing which is called “Guitars for our Troops”.
He sends out Guitar’s to people in the military that are at war, want to learn how to play guitar or some even have PTSD and finding a way thru music helps calm the nerves and chases out some of those demons.
Gordon ended up buying his own building and moved to this larger place a couple years ago. As I visit often, I just love to go in and talk to Gordon and see all the instruments although I play none. I went the other day and was very happy to see JP who sometimes works out of there, he does private guitar lessons and was my daughters first and only guitar instructor.
Gordon is working towards turning this amazing building into an instrument Museum, I know he will get it done.
Our family had decided to donate our old Victrola that has been in the family for years.
Great collection of new and vintage guitars. The museum is awesome also!
COME CHECK OUT Elite Sound/ Melody Music and the “ROCKY MOUNTAIN MUSIC MUSEUM!” Owner Gordon Close has spent a lifetime assembling this huge collection of historical instruments, records, original hit manuscripts and record players going back over 100 years!
There are many Jazz guitars, electric guitars, banjos, grand pianos, player pianos, a Ford Model T, and even the original Mics Used by Elvis at Sun Studios in Memphis! Gordon also has his own brand of Harvest Guitars that are quite reasonable at several price points, from student to professional.
If you love music like I do, you’ll find this place to be AMAZING! You might want to call first to make sure they are available, as they keep very busy. Gordon’s love for music history and these incredible instruments is contagious! And he is such a positive guy. He really inspired me last week. Go visit!
17. Do Re Mi Lessons
Address: 5184 S Lowell Blvd, Littleton, CO 80123 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
I LOVE this studio. The teachers are professional and personable — meeting each student wherever they are. It is not the church lady next door teaching “Hot Cross Buns.” My child’s percussion technique has improved so much and as a result, so many musical
opportunities have opened up for him.
These folks are incredibly kind – I’ll be picking up some lessons as soon as I get a little time off from work- REALLY looking forward to it
18. Redbox
Address: 12442 W Ken Caryl Ave, Littleton, CO 80127 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
The staff are wonderful and keep my son motivated. The progress my child has made in one year is impressive.
The staff are truly wonderful and dedicated to helping students and their families have an incredible experience and developing a passion for music.
One of the coolest places you could go to learn a new instrument or get your kid excited to learn. They have concerts every once in a while in the parking lot and they are a lot of fun.
We have had a horrible experience with their remote online lessons. We signed up two kids (one keyboard and one guitar) and have given it almost 2 months of time, in which, they have yet to learn or be given a single song to practice. We have never been sent a copy of the Method book either. Every week the instructors get on and tell them to practice chords and scales but don’t assign any music in which they could practice chords and scales within. We have reached out to the school numerous times to try to work through these as we know we are all struggling to adapt to the CoVid 19 world but week after week, no changes are made. This is a total waste of money for beginners. The school does not deliver the services for the money you pay.
20. Dolce Music Private Lessons Piano and Voice
Address: 4754 S Moore St, Littleton, CO 80127 , Ken Caryl , Colorado , United States
Kellie Johannik, or Ms. Kellie as she’s affectionately known, has been our son’s piano teacher for about six and a half years now, and we can’t imagine having a better experience with anyone else. When our son was graduating from Children’s Music Academy, where he excelled, we were told that there was only one person with whom he should continue his training, and that was Ms. Kellie. Although her studio was full at that time, our begging and pleading worked, and she accepted our son, and boy are we thankful she did.
Not only are the weekly lessons productive and used to build a repertoire for the recital season, but Ms. Kellie offers other fun and interesting opportunities such as her “Master Composer’s Club.”
Equally as important is the fact that she runs her studio in a professional manner. She is punctual, organized, economical and cognizant of the other demands on her student’s time.
We could not recommend her more highly!
Daniel & Stephanie Andrews
Littleton, CO
Kellie Johannik is an excellent teacher and helps my children focus on musical details and practice techniques, style, developing creativity in improvisation, and finding joy in music. She incorporates history, technique, dynamics, style, and more in her lessons. She clearly communicates with students and parents and is always positive and kind.
We have been truly blessed having Ms. Johannik as a part of our children’s lives for the past 13 years, and we highly recommend her as a music teacher. By sharing her passion for music, professionalism, and affection for teaching, she has instilled a strong love of music and skill in our children, which is what every parent dreams for their child. The musical experience just keeps growing as your child grows, and soon you have a young adult who not only plays the classics, but has a deep appreciation of the greats. We see the influence of their musical training spilling over into many other parts of their lives as well. Ms. Joannik grows not only talent, and a love for music that engrains itself into one’s soul, but she grows the whole person. We are now in awe of our children’s abilities and of the passion of the teacher that instilled this musical appreciation and lifetime skills.
