Music Masters is our go to place in Warner Robins for all our music needs. From cable ends, to boutique guitars and anything in between. Nice, experienced people who give lessons. Shop local and support our small businesses!
Amazing down to earth atmosphere and your one stop shop for any music needs in town. This is the place.
Great deals, great service. It’s always nice to have a local, hometown music store for that personal touch. Lessons are also available. Wish there was a bigger selection there, though–go buy some stuff there so they can afford more space! 🙂
Nice music shop. We are pleased with a kid friendly guitar lessons taught by Mr. Mike.
Update:Feb 2022. Still attending lessons and my child has taken a liking to guitar. His finger placement has gotten better and knowing the proper strings for several chords.
Went in to get some supplies for taking care of a trumpet. They didnt have a huge variety but they did gave neat grab and go packs. They did, however, have a huge selection of guitars, ukuleles and other strings as well as a few brass and woodwinds.
Over priced
I had a violin restrung there a few months back. Violins are better maintained by a shop that specializes in violins but I went ahead and took the chance when the folks at Music Masters assured me they could get the job done.
Although the job was done faster than I expected, the quality was very sloppy. First, the strings were not even in tune and the bridge was filed down unevenly. There were also some kind of oil or lotion spots/fingerprints all over the body which indicated poor attention to detail.
After I took it back, they insisted on redoing the work with a new bridge that i had to provide. Second time around, it didn’t look very different from the first job. In the end, I was down $40-something bucks and didn’t even consider taking it back a third time.
Music Masters might be good with other things, but I wouldn’t reccomend sending your violin there for work.
Employees act unprofessional around minors….disturbing experience.
4. Guitar Center
Address: 4551 Billy Williamson Dr Suite 160, Macon, GA 31206 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Exceptional service and great price on powered subwoofer!
Just simply AMAZING!
I like the prices at guitar center but some of the costumer service workers aren’t too sharp. I didn’t see it when one guy put my receipt in the bag and he didn’t tell me. I was standing there waiting for the receipt to be put in my hand and my son had walked out the door with the bag. . I’m old schooled.
Pretty expensive. Comparable to interacting with used car salesman especially, if you’re not knowledgeable about music gear.
I will say, I was very happy with the price and results of getting my guitar set-up. The tech did a good job and didn’t try to pressure me into paying for something I didn’t need. I would definitely recommend getting a set-up but, I wouldn’t buy anything here unless it was absolutely necessary. Just to expensive.
Lends competition to the area
If you are a guitar player, order online or just go to Atlanta or even Columbus. They don’t have what you are looking for. Even if the website says they have it, they don’t. And the exasperated staff knows nothing is going to change. The guitar repair guy is excellent tho. He does a great job.
Trash service they offered 58 dollars for a 200 dollar guitar so my advice is dont buy or sell to them
Best place to buy a guitar from and staff are very friendly!
Edit. Staff seem to be very unfriendly now unless you spending big bucks in there! Even the manager has no public relations with no one who comes thru the doors unless you from a local band and than he’s acting his position.
Rest well you can’t tell if they work there cause they play the guitars in there or walking out for food. Becoming a joke now. Will look elsewhere for my instruments.
5. Young America Music Schools
Address: 6361 Zebulon Rd, Macon, GA 31220 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Awesome Customer Service. I always have a great experience.
This was the best day for my daughter. She loved learning the violin better than the piano. Mr. Young and Mikey were kind and friendly to my child by fixing up her violin to play and given her a personal caring 1st lesson. Looking forward to more lessons.
It’s always a pleasure doing business with them they’re very courteous and professional. They have service both for my saxophones Alto & Tenor . I just purchased a guitar from them and I’m very please with this sound in this playability. I would encourage anyone looking for a musical instruments or lessons to stop by and chat them up they’re great folk.
My daughter takes lessons here and I LOVE her teacher. And YAMS does an annual recital to show off the students’ hard work.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the owner of the school/store publicly advertised his political views during election season. I understand his right to freedom of speech, but i wish that as a professional, he didn’t share his opinion oncontroversial topics.
Always helpful!
I wanted to take piano lessons and saw that this school was only a few miles away. Pulled in the parking lot and instantly got bad vibes by the big Trump flag mounted between all the flags. Anyone’s political party is there choice but I rather not go to any business that wants to seclude anyone or a political group. Went to Guitar Center where the vibe is way more welcoming.
Very very disappointed. He opens up at 11:00 am then turns around and goes to lunch at 11:30. It is now 2:11 pm and he is still at lunch. How do you manage to stay in business when you are not there? I have an instrument that has to be picked up today and he is no where to be found. There isn’t even another contact number on the door to call. My son has to have his instrument in the morning at school for band class. He doesn’t open up until 11:00 in the morning. By then my son will have missed his band class at school. Will NEVER do business with him again. I will pay more somewhere else just so I can have great customer service and someone there at the hours posted on the door.
6. Rush’s Music
Address: 2107 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Bob was very helpful with his recommendations and I love the classical guitar I bought.
Bought a great guitar and a great price. They even order some of my favorite strings and sent them to my house.
This is a wonderful place. They have served East Tennessee in a superior manor for many years. Personal service and always interested in the student having a positive musical experience. This is a one of a kind, service orientated establishment.
Frofprofessionall quality
I felt very uncomfortable as it was not at all a warm welcome . I don’t know if this shop is used to a certain crowd but i didn’t feel welcome from the second I walked in . I think this is more of a guitar shop than any other instrument . Bill Jones was much more helpful and nicer . I was hoping this would be a closer option for my sheet music but i guess not .
I love this store! They have entered of parking, but it’s a quick right turn after the railroad tracks/ entersection… so be ready.
Good place to rent instruments for students and stuff.
Was charge for 3 more months after dropping both of my sons instruments off. When called I was told that it wasn’t their problem because they didn’t know where they were. Talked to someone different and was told they found one of the instruments but couldn’t find the other one. Was refunded one fee but no one knows where the other instrument is and no one cares to do anything! Have rented from them before but will never do so again! Do yourself a favor and do not rent from them. They have horrible customer service and do not care!
I just got strings there today and one of them broke into as I was putting it on, so I went back and asked them if they would give me a refund and they give me the one string that broke!!!
A good musician know’s a guitar will sound and play differently, even within the same make and model. In light of that fact, it behooves one to play, listen and feel how the instrument performs before investing in one. I got the impression Rush’s Music ‘rushed’ me to stop playing, talk price, or leave. Whether that was their intentions or not, I will make my purchase of an electric and an acoustic guitar elsewhere where you are encouraged to make a wise and sound decision before flashing a credit card
7. Rush’s Music
Address: 9117D Executive Park Dr, Knoxville, TN 37923 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Small store but the staff is helpful and they can order instruments for you.
Their food is delicious. The chicken and waffles were great.
They are always helpful and knowledgeable.
great little music store. Friendly help
Very helpful staff
They have a good selection of drum sticks but they sell Yamaha guitars which aren’t the best but are pretty good the employees are nice and they have an awsome selection of marching band stuff and brass instruments and drum sticks
We have been going to Rush’s for over 4 years they have always been great to us. This year we had to rent an instrument for marching band and charged us $77 for the rental which was a great price. We had it for 4 days and it fell apart durning practice. They would not give a refund. They said they could fix it but we are using one that will not fall apart from the school. I understand no refunds but we have been a long time customer and only used it for 4 days. We will find another place to go from in on.
I rented a saxophone for my daughter for school.. had it three hours and it had serious issues.. i took it back to the store to exchange it and the guy working there got so mad that i told him that the instrument was horrible that he started screaming at me and telling me that was unacceptable that it was “almost” a Yamaha .. all i know is i had gotten the instrument that day and it didn’t work .. he was horrible to me and my 11 yr old.. he had serious anger issues. I was in no way rude to him and he began to go off on me. I will never do business here again.. walked out .. went to lane music .. got a great instrument (an actual Yamaha) played great! The good thing about lane is all the rental money goes towards the purchase of a new one when your ready.. wish i had found them before dealing with rush!!!
I rented a trumpet for my son for three years during his middle school duration. I returned the instrument yesterday after paying well over $1,000 in rental fees over the three years, and they charged me an additional $125 for a repair on the instrument. Highway robbery!! You don’t have to worry about me ever returning as a customer for my younger children!
8. Lane Music (Knoxville)
Address: 9648 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
I’ve been a musician all my life, and working with Lane Music has been a wonderful experience! I just made a major investment in a Steinway piano, and their attention to detail and level of customer service is outstanding! I had shopped around at other music stores throughout Tennessee, and Lane Music is the very best!! If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they are more than willing to try and find something at their other store locations.
Great local music store! Don’t waste your time at Guitar Satan. Joe and Logan were top notch, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. I am now the proud owner of a Martin D28 and couldn’t be happier. Won’t go anywhere else anymore for my musical needs. Thanks guys!!
Everyone at the store was very friendly. I bought a guitar and amp from Joe and he was fantastic to work with and gave me a great price on the combo! It speaks very well of this company to have attracted such a high quality staff.
Good place
Updated from 2 star to 4 star for great customer service. The owner did call me to explain the situation and everyone there was very kind. I understand people make mistakes and sometimes we have to give grace.
I typically try to leave only positive reviews or no review at all, but still not feeling confident with today’s interaction. We rented a violin about 3 years ago. I called about 3 months ago contemplating turning in the violin. The employee said I only owed $75 so I could turn it but so close to paying off. Then a few weeks ago I asked how much I owe, $90, I’m told. Then today when I walked in, in told I owe $230. Yet I’ve been making monthly payments so the prices should have been much less, not more. I got a lot of excuses on new employees, yadada. Reluctantly paid in full, but learned a lesson…get payoffs in writing and keep up with your own rentals!
Very informative and helpful person.
Friend bought a guitar here. He’s not knowledgeable in guitars and it was broken when he bought it but didn’t know. When he came back in they wanted to charge him for the repair even though the guitar was bought 2 days prior. My friend being a nice guy agreed to have the guitar repaired but ended up having to wait almost 15 days before he could get it back. The adjustment to the guitar would have taken 5 minutes to fix. We will be doing all our repairs in-house after this and don’t plan to come back here as a result of this experience.
Not very happy. Took my guitar there to have the action lowered and when i got it home it literally was no different. Should have looked at it there but i mistakenly thought we were on the same page.
Went there last Sept to rent a violin for my daughter. I relied on their expertise since I had never touched a violin up until that point. Over a year later we swirched to a different instructor who noticed the violin was too big. A whole year later and the violin is still too big. When I took it back the guy measured my daughter and said she should be in a 1/4. I told him they rented me the 1/2 for over a year and that I was upset bc bad habits/stance have developed since the violin was too big. He just asked if I wanted to switch it out for a smaller size. I said no I just want to return it. There was not even an apology or attempt to do anything to compensate for this error on their part. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed.
9. Guitar Center
Address: 8917 Town and Country Cir, Knoxville, TN 37923 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Great selection of musical instruments. Personal was extremely helpful with our purchase.
Wonderful place for musicians
Buenos precios
The staff here was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They didn’t try to talk us into what was necessarily best for the store, but what was best for us. I appreciated that a lot and will be continuing to visit here for their expertise, service, and products
Very nice and helpful staff
As with all big box stores, this is a great place to get hands on with new gear but don’t expect most of the staff to really know the fine details and differences. They are poorly paid and lack passion due to lack of parent company support. They it here and order it online for cheaper.
Sorriest customer service I have ever experienced. Went in to order product out of shelf and was passed around from three different sales people while standing waiting each time. Then told to follow last one to drums room. Where I had to stand and wait again while some other guy could not even ring up a sale right , then told I had to wait again. I will order from Amazon and forget this place. Had originally tried to order from website which cuts you off right before checkout over and over. To beat it all. The employees were cussing freely with the F word in normal conversation. Not a good environment for children
What happened over the last 10 years… I imagine we will not be seeing these types of stores long from now.
Bought a guitar on line from Knoxville guitar center about 10AM paid and chose next day air. Well they never shipped it I called the next day the manager could care less
10. Jackson’s Music Store Inc
Address: 5485 Westmoreland Plaza, Douglasville, GA 30134 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Learned a lot by coming here. Great friendly staff. Thank you for the experience.
Great service
Not a lot of high end equipment but a place that you will definitely fill welcome and find what you need.
Decent selection, friendly and helpful. I’ve been using them for almost ten years.
Knowledgable staff, who are helpful but not pushy. I have been getting music supplies from there for more than 10 years and not once have me or my family had an issue.
Great customer service at this place.
People there are polite enough, but have no business sense, if you’re not familiar with the music industry they will belittle you. Do not sell equipment to them, they only do consignment (which is a very outdated idea imo), and offer a 70/30% which is higher than typical music shops.
I really wanna like this place, but there is a guy that’s been here for years, and everytime I’ve gone in he has been crabby about something. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but he’s not to cool to the customers anytime I’ve been around.
As any business, it is made up of people. I have been a musician for 25 years but these guys treat you like you are an idiot every time you come in. I even sent my wife up there to ask for something specific and these morons tried to tell her that I was stupid for wanting what I needed. Humility and professionalism goes a long way. I went in to give them a shot on a $4k acoustic that I would up purchasing. Could not get them to treat me serious and I had cash that day!! Never, ever use this place.
11. Music Authority Inc
Address: 123 Merchants Square, Cumming, GA 30040 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Best place to learn music, all instruments. Dawn is amazing!
Your child, no matter how smart, talented or well-adjusted will benefit from an experience at Music Authority. I’m a parent of two kids who have been students here for 6 years and there truly is no better place. The staff become your child’s mentors even more than music teachers. It is organized and very well run from music lessons, summer Rock Camps and seasonal shows to its Parent Organization known as The Roadies. Your child will bloom and grow in proficiency as well as getting frequent chances to perform on stage like a real Rock Star! I have witnessed transformations in children throughout the years and it is quite moving. Music Authority is a true gem in our community.
Excellent teachers, wonderful staff and plenty of different programs to satisfy your music needs.
Went in for a purchase. Didn’t end up buying, but one of the owners assisted me and had a lot of knowledge to offer. People came in and out for lessons and they were all treated very well… you can see the passion. The store could use a bit of updating, which is the primary reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
Mr.Mark is my son’s Piano teacher and my son enjoys his piano lessons.
My 10 yr old daughter and I take piano lessons at Music Authority. Our instructor, Brooke, along with a lot of practice, has taken us from zero musical experience to reading and playing the piano in a few short months.
We enjoy the lessons each week and we learn something at each one. Our instructor is a gifted teacher. She changes up the lesson plans so throughout our lsns, and at home practice, we learn music theory, practice skills exercises, and learn songs. It pushes us to go further but doesn’t overwhelm.
If your looking to learn an instrument or two, this is a good place to start. Music camps and performances are offered as well. You can get as involved as you want.
We tried to set up a single trial music lesson for our son. They would not set up lessons unless we provided an email and were quite rude about it to boot. We have too many companies that abuse the privilege of having our email and we end up getting spammed so we do not give out our email easily. But for them to insist that they have it as a condition of providing a service like piano lessons is a big red flag for us.
I just had a horrible experience with this place today. They make you pay full monthly tuition in advance but keeps canceling the classes on a very short notice. And then its your responsibility to keep track of those canceled classes so it can be adjusted next month, let alone expect any apologies from them. My kids used to go there for guitar and piano lessons past few months but today I canceled with them. They cheated me when they refused to adjust the classes they canceled last month. I’m going to call my credit card company to revoke their payment. THIS PLACE IS A BIG FRAUD. BEWARE OF THEM AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
If you can be sure you never can miss a lesson even with 24 hour notice for any reason than its place for you. But if you are a human like everyone else than you will be responsible to pay for lessons that been cancelled even with 24 hour notice no matter what. I never had to experience something like that before with all of my 3 kids activities. Stay away from this place!
12. Open Chord Music Shop
Address: 8426 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Was there yesterday picking up some essentials, and learning about mandolins a bit. A couple of the staff are acomplished mandolin players …. (I tell you this, you’ve not lived until you’ve heard JSBach played on a great mandolin.)
Anyhow, their string instrument collection is excellent & is well complemented by their selection of high quality amps, and top notch accesories. (From picks, strings, polish, straps, … you name it they probably have it.)
With fair pricing and about the nicest attention in the state, it’s worth a visit. You’ll be glad you did.
just got a restring, awesome customer service, and very great experience! Never going back to guitar center lol
I had to pay $3.29 for postage since Open chord only put $1.36 postage on it! The part I ordered was only like $6 but still I had to pay money to get it delivered!
Every time I come by this place it’s closed. It’s 1 pm on a Saturday and it’s closed.
13. Attina’s Music Store Inc.
Address: 378 Glynn St N, Fayetteville, GA 30214 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Attinas is a great music store. I just very recently had a misunderstanding with the shop and the shop owner was still very flexible with dealing with a child. I just want to apologize for what i said and i will come personally to apologize. I highly advise attinas! Any misunderstanding you have with them will be taken care of by the hardworking dedicated workers there that have been working there for 52 years! They are reliable, understanding, and very professional. Highly advise !
My buddy impulse bought a guitar here it was awesome
This place is great. Everyone is friendly. And mr Steve is s great guitar teacher. My 7 yr old son takes lessons with him. He’s patient and kind and a great teacher!!!!
Not enough room to display musical instruments. Cold hearted atmosphere
This is a really great store with loads of musical equipment, basically everything you need and they also give guitar lessons here taught by highly skilled and competent professionals. I would recommend this store to anyone.
Good selection
Guy was on phone the whole time…and we waited. Not sure this is the norm but it was my one and only visit
Expensive, great variety
It was obvious that my presence was causing discomfort to the manager/cashier/whatever. I was not allowed to play a certain Epiphone Les Paul (not even a Gibson) because ‘they wanted to keep it clean’. I am a frikin professional guitarist with 11 years of experience and no music stores have ever denied me of handling an instrument. Highly offending for a first time visitor’s impression.
Go to Guitar Center and avoid this place, you’ll be glad you did.
14. Tennessee Guitar & Sound Co.
Address: 6709 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
I’ve had my beloved les paul standard for a year now, but one thing I neglected to do for too long was take it to get set up properly. I’ve heard the horror stories of taking it to guitar center to be set up, so I decided to try a local shop. I took my guitar in and immediately loved the atmosphere of a bunch of vintage gear lining the walls and floor and was greeted by Rick with a smile. He was super helpful in helping me determine the right way to go about my setup and was super lighthearted and fun to be around. The work was done in just over a day which was fantastic! I had actually broken my ankle at work a few hours after I had dropped my guitar off, and when I came back to pick it up, one of the employees offered to carry my guitar out to my car for me! I cannot stress enough, you will never find service and people with passion like this anywhere else, my guitar now plays like a dream and it feels like love was put into the setup. I’ll be coming back here for all of my music gear needs!
sent my Martin (my single most prized possession, never spent that much money on something before) to Rik for a crack repair and a pickup installation. the crack was fixed very quickly and is unnoticeable unless you look very hard and know right where it is. The pickup was an unfamiliar one, so he took his time with it, but when i got it back it was done absolutely perfectly. Allowed me to try it in-store and now i can’t put it down. Excellent work! Will 100% be coming back in the future!
What a great shop. I went in thinking I was going to have to spend a small fortune to fix a guitar that was probably not worth putting money into it. Rick made a quick repair, with a smile on his face and sent me on my way. I can’t wait to return.
OK. Not a very large selection of Guitars. Pick and Grin is much better.
Good service overall. The guy at the front couldn’t remember the password and had to wait for the owner to get off the phone, but other than that I had no trouble. I got the cheapest strings that seem to work fine. Nice little shop that feels nothing like your average guitar center.
Worse place ever…. they had my guitar for a month and it didn’t get touched. When I called about having pickups done they claimed to be able to do anything I wanted. Then had it for a week and after I called said it would be done in a few days. A week later I called and they said they didn’t know how to do what I was asking but knew someone that might and they would call to let me know… weeks later, no call so I got it back. Wonder how many instruments and sound equipment sold there is legit vs forgotten items owners left behind
Can’t speak to the service as I left immediately after it was clear that the owner refuses to wear a mask. And I appreciate your kind response, but I absolutely did not ask you if I had to wear a mask. I was wearing a mask; you were not. I said, “You don’t wear masks in here?” and you said, “We’ll be fine as long as we stay away from each other,” to which I promptly agreed and left. I’m not going to support a business that doesn’t believe in science. It’s about caring for each other.
15. Campbell’s Music Room Guitars
Address: 5103 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Great curation of musical gear at incredible prices. Kyle always has new gear rotating through the shop and does great work on guitars. Support this place!
Awesome! Kyle is Fair truthful and honest. Something sort of rare when it comes to guitar dealers these days
A great shop and Kyle is a great human being who can teach you about music, AND inspire you to want to play.
Kyle has always been fair. I’ve needed to sell instruments from time to time, and Campbell’s is the place to go.
I stopped there as the guy at Guitar Center said I would enjoy the vintage collection. The store was closed for a week. I was only in town for a week to help a family member who was in hospital – so – had no ability to see the place. I looked through the window and it appears to be a neat place – too bad you can’t shop there.
Great place for all kinds of used guitars and amps. Good prices. The owner is very cool. Just wish it were a little bit bigger.
Supposed to be open until 4:45 PM today.
I arrived at 3:25 and found them closed.
Sign on door says closed July 2 thru 14.
I guess they don’t need new customers.
DISRESPECTFUL!
Very rude. The owner needs to learn some manners! I saw their sign at the door that said “YES MASK”. I had no idea what that meant. It could mean that wearing a mask is accepted or encouraged. It could mean “yes, we wear masks here”. It could mean that masks were suggested. Or even that masks were required. I did not know, and I did not have a mask.
I walked I and stood at the entrance, with respect, and awaited further instructions. Instead I received disrespect! I was not asked if I had a mask or needed one. Instead I was rudely greeting with angry words, “Did you not see the sign on the door? Where’s your mask?”
As I started answer that I did not have one, I was cut off by him relling me that I should have seen the masks by the door. Then with a strong finger point, I was told I had to wear a mask. That’s when I turned and walked out. Not because he required masks. I walked out beacuse of his rude disrespect showed to a customer that did not understand what the sign meant.
I don’t care if this was the last music store left on Earth. I say, “NO BUSINESS”!
Prices are good and owner is a nice guy but i took a guitar in for a setup a couple months ago and took it elsewhere to get it setup again the next day. Still had lots of string noise and would not stay in tune.
16. Attina’s Music Store Inc
Address: 155 Jonesboro Rd, McDonough, GA 30253 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Got me out of pinch. Viola needed to be tuned and ready for use in a few hours. I was out in 15 mins. Thank you!
Great service!
The owner is personable and knowledgeable.
This is a small music instrument shop with a good selection of instruments ranging from guitars to band instruments like trumpet. They offer repairs for instruments. Not sure how well priced the repairs are but I did buy some books from for a pretty good price.
They were friendly, but we kinda felt they were stand offish because my husband was asking all kinds of questions and we kinda felt that they was tired of being asked the many questions that my husband asked. They had a low selection of items and we felt that we was being pushed out of the store because he asked us a few times if we was ready to check out. So after a few times of being asked we checked out and left. Not sure if we will be going back or if we will make the hour trip to Fayetteville for all of our needs.
17. Guitar Center
Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
Bought an electric drum kit. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly
Will was 10/10. Attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and an outgoing personality made it easy for me to get what I needed.
My full experience was only 15 min. Due to having a curfew for my little brother. It has decent pricing and that’s saying something for top notch products such as Ibanez and les Paul’s.
Great store. Not as big as some I have been in, but the staff is very helpful. I found a great deal on Musicians Friend and they matched the price and I didn’t have to wait for it to come in the mail. I’ve made several purchases there and have always been happy with the pricing and service.
Not very well provided with a wide range of instruments. At least for basses.
Had a employee tell named Jason tell me he would set a very important piece of equipment aside but didn’t tell me to put a card down and reserve it
I call before I come to double check because the distance I was driving was far and they had sold the equipment
My wife purchased an amplifier for me as an anniversary gift. We received the package on time, it was however a different , lower quality amp than the one purchased. Upon contacting the store, I was scoffed at and basically placated. I was told that the District manager was notified and now we wait. They aren’t even sure where they sent my amp.Not my first run in with ineptitude and incompetence at Guitar Center but, May very well be my last. Sweetwater, Sam Ash , AMS and Chicago Music Exchange have never acted this way. Customer service helps to insure that you don’t have to file bankruptcy every so many year.
Just walked out of this store. Went in to possibly buy an overdrive pedal. Was in there for almost an hour and not a single sales person approached me to see if I needed help with anything. They would avoid eye contact. The store was not busy at all!
18. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 2999 Cobb Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30339 , Knoxville , Georgia , United States
I am new to the guitar world and needed extra help and had a lot of questions. All my questions were answered and he spent adequate time helping me get what I needed. For these reasons I purchased from him and not a major competitor. I will return in the future.
I had a great experience. Everyone, including the store manager, was helpful and attentive. I will be back.
I knew what I wanted was in and out in 5 minutes service was excellent.
Good service, a little bit more in stock Pro level stuff than the other spot.. GC
I recently purchased a pedal that was not in stock at my local store. While nice and friendly, the salesperson ordered the pedal from one of their warehouses that was closest. Said it should take 2-3 days. Ordered on a Wednesday. Waited till the following Wednesday before I contacted them. Turned out the salesperson never completed the order. Frustrating. Didn’t have it for a gig that I planned on having it for. Disappointing.
Alax was a welth of knowledge and his music experience was a great benefit to my visit thank you
I wish the staff working there were a bit more nice to customers. The last two times I went there wanting to buy some items and know the price of others, service has been quite rude. Maybe because it’s always the same person I’ve asked for help. He’s not nice at all.
I liked Sam Ash as one of my preferred stores in the US. They carry a huge range of gear at very competitive prices. So much for the positive part.
I just tried to get a broken Djembe stand replaced, and I found the personnel not very supportive and helpful. One of the sales persons told me, I got to send it in to the manufacturer! The other asked me to come to the store and they have a look at it…
I’m sorry guys, but that gets you down on my value ranking. I got used to one of the best music stores in the world by now (Thomann Music in Germany). 30 Days moneyback, 3 years extended warranty and fantastic customer support that handles things quick and easy. If there is something broken, I get it either replaced without big explanations, or they send me a return mail voucher, fix it and send it back. I think, most other stores can go and get lessons in customer care from them.
Plain Bad customer service…

My son was looking for a bass. He found it here. The store has a great inventory that allowed him to see what would work best for him. Easy to work with. Great staff Highly recommend. Update 2/15/2022. Ed and crew are still giving great service and reasonable deals. Just traded for a hard to find in person Acoustasonic. They had 3 or 4 to choose from. They are well stocked for a small ” Mom and Pop” operation. Check them out,
Ed is the man! Hooks me up as always.
Could be a little more organized. Drum area needs more open space. And more displayed of items. Seems pretty congested.
Pretty good shop if you are in Athens. Much better selection of gear than their competitors in the area.
Very nice store but not a great variety of guitars
Really wanted to like this company. I was cheated and conned, and after a week with zero communication I contacted them. They fumbled around for another day or two then stated they couldn’t find the item. I was left empty handed and confused. No attempt at finding the item or ordering another. Nothing. Zip. C’mon guys!
Dude I’m not sure what happened. The first floor is desolate (empty for everybody that’s currently reading this while dunk). I understand social distancing, but I’m I am attending Warehouse, I do not care about the current situation, I’m here to rave. Open the first floor for a mosh pit.
Poor selection. If you like grandpa guitars this is the place. Wouldnt recomend to any modern guitar players.
