We signed up for piano lessons in our home with Stacie over a month ago and our boys are extremely happy with it. Stacie is knowledgeable and patient with two young learners and her experience is exactly what we read on Melody Music Studio’s bio. The process for signing up was easy and they are very responsive.
My kids have been taking piano lessons outside the home for a few years now, but in the last few months have started having lessons with Heidi within our home. They have improved dramatically and we are very thankful to find such a great teacher with affordable pricing. Thank you!

Very helpful and friendly staff, and competitive prices.
Friendly and welcoming
Great music teachers! Shop has all a band parent could want and a very friendly staff to boot.
They have lots of instruments but seemed pricey to me. I’d probably try here if I needed repairs though. They have a robust workshop on site, but I thankfully haven’t needed to make use of it yet.
Meh
The quality of their rental instruments is good. However their employees are beyond rude, especially Terry who is probably the rudest most condescending person I have ever spoken with. Additionally the program they have to except payments is inaccurate so while your bank statement reads that your payment has been deducted and sent to them, they call and claim no payment has been made.
I love the staff here – they are lovely- but the quality of the cello I bought from them is terrible. The back keeps popping off of it and they charge me each time to glue it back. I took it to another repair shop to ask for help and they said it was not worth fixing because it was such a poor quality instrument and was garbage. It was $3000. The back popped off again today. I’m really sad I went there. Avoid.
Thank you for the response by the owner and that answer might make sense except that I have another cello and 2 violins and a bunch of other instruments right by the cello in question (which is used daily and we have instrument humidifiers) but nothing else spontaneously pops the back off. It’s cardboard.
The back popped off again this week and cannot be fixed. The endpin is also totally faulty and slips. We had both fixed several times there and at another shop. We paid over 3K for this cello plus another $1000 in repeated repairs and please be aware this is what will happen if you go here. We took good care of it and have it in the same environment as all of our other instruments which are functioning perfectly. I have only had one instrument repaired ever and it’s this cello over and over and over again and now it cannot be fixed.
They have not helped us.
I would recommend a company with a better online payment and account access system. Plus the owner threatened to repossess my son’s violin I’d been paying on (upgraded three times) for 8 years because I missed a payment when we got new cards.
Not all customers are trying to take your instruments for free Golden music so don’t treat them like criminals. How about invest in a better more accessible accounting and payment system that doesn’t set your customers up to fail.
Horrible experience. Brought in my violin to have it priced and they said they’ll need two weeks (first red flag). Then three weeks pass and they still have not done anything. When I came to pick up my instrument, the employee had to look through piles of others to finally find it. Shows you how much they care for the instruments that are placed under their care…
Called Von’s Violin Shop in Hampton and the worker said to price would only take~ 15 mins. That’s where I’ll be going.
4. Spaceman Guitars
Address: 9797 W Colfax Ave Ste 1B, Lakewood, CO 80215 , Lakewood , Colorado , United States
This store is way too much fun! They have a great selection of guitars, and the used vinyl section always blows me away with what they find for the shelves. Chris is the nicest guy you’ll ever want to meet, and knows guitar adjustments and repair like no one I have met before.
Very friendly, found a few nice records for a great price.
great people here, they helped me find a new guitar when i grew out of my old one. they’re helpful, kind, and there’s some good humor to be found here. 10/10
Nice place. Had what I needed.
Did a good switch repair for me. Took longer than he said he would minus 1 star. His records are spendy but he does good trades for credit. I will be back for sure.
Not the best guitar store ever
I dropped this off late October to change a nut on my Fender. I included the parts. I’ve been reaching out, over and over; Communications far and few between. Btw, I was told it would be ‘a couple weeks.’ I’ve shared an excerpt do of our texts to illustrate my point.
Chris is a nice enough guy but I don’t feel like I got what I paid for. I had a suspicion my frets weren’t level due to buzzing so I brought it to him and he did a set up on it. Just a basic setup was quite expensive. I brought it home and it still had buzz. When I took it back to him he said it needed new strings. I was amazed he didn’t notice that during the set up. It just seems he didn’t really take his time with me as a customer and so I will not be going back here. I brought my guitar to a different shop and the tech confirmed my suspicions that there were frets that weren’t level and the neck wasn’t completely straight. Just all around disappointed with the work that was done on my guitar especially at the price I paid.
cannot recommend this place for guitar work. i was quoted a lower price and then charged $20 over the quote. paid for a full set up got a 1/4 set up, took my guitar to another shop and had the work redone. they are friendly and accomodating, but i prefer having work done at a fair price the first time and not having the feeling i was bring taken advantage of- not saying that was the intent, but that is how i left feeling. i tried this place based on all the positive reviews, but there are better places in town that do more careful work at a better price.
They handled my piano with professionalism and care.
Nice people
Thank you so much for the immediate response to my problem. Rockleys more than met my needs with no delay. I will always recommend Rockleys to everyone.
Service is HORRIBLE!! I have been there several times and each time the employees are extremely rude. I suport local business but I’d rather go to Guitar Center than this place.
They were closed with no warning. One should always call, I suppose.
Appreciate the numerous ideas
Agree with those that have seen this store’s decline….used to be great, enthusiastic people that wanted to help you in your musical journey. Now, its almost like helping someone out and making a sale is just troublesome. Did everything I could to get the guy in guitars to work with me on building my pedal board…..needless to say, he made several promises that he forgot about the second i walked out the door. I was practically throwing myself at them, telling them i wanted to buy locally, and they just didn’t care. Oh well.
PS Since then i’ve found: Wildwood Guitars in Louisville is great for pedals, as is Music Gear Guys on South Broadway if you want to buy locally. Flescher-Hinton for repairs.
Typical third generation silver spoon gyp. You walk in the door and every employee looks as though your very presence mortally offends them. I literally had to step in front of this particularly pathetic employee as he attempted to scurry away. Once he every so reluctantly showed me to the location of the manuscript paper I was there for, he rudely hurried us to the cash register without a word nor thanks. Sad really, you know the first generation that founded the organization had a very different attitude in their approach to customers and business in general.
It was closed when I went there so I really didn’t get a chance to check it out but I will be back there
Catherine is very encouraging, patient and works to personalize lessons so learning is fun for the student. She’s also very good at explaining music theory in a way I can understand.
Catherine has been helping me with my singing for over a year now, and it’s been a blast! I came to her with almost no experience, and she has helped me improve dramatically with my breath support, confidence, and understanding of singing- I’m able to hit notes now that I just assumed weren’t in my range. She definitely sees your potential as a performer and works hard to bring it out of you, even when you don’t know it’s there! She’s also really fun to work with, which makes the learning process that much quicker and easier 🙂 I would give her 6 stars if I could!
Catherine has been a guitar student of mine for over 5 years now. In that time she has not only advanced very well as a guitar player, but she has demonstrated a very high knowledge of music theory and general musicianship that I find excellent! She is a wonderful pianist and vocalist and from my experience working with her over the years I can only imagine she is a fantastic, nurturing, engaging teacher. Additionally, Catherine and I both study from the same Vocal Coach, Dr. Scott Martin, so I know her skills and technique come from the very best! I consider Catherine to be a great colleague and friend. She is my guitar instructor of choice for referrals in the Lakewood area.
13. Chain Reaction Records
Address: 8799 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215 , Lakewood , Colorado , United States
The employee are awesome, the selection is incredible, and the prices range from excellent to fair.
Best Record store for real music in Denver
Great local shop that supports the community as well
Was hoping to sell records. Wrong place to sell what I had.
Awesome place and staff
Super cool collection of punk and metal 7″. I left with more than I meant to!
Was disappointed. This placed seemed amazing when I heard about it, but was let down. When you can find an employee they barely seems to want to be there or help instead they were just rocking out outside. Selection is subpar for being a specialty shop I couldn’t find anything I was looking for. Staff seemed annoyed when I asked questions. I probably won’t be back even though skating, and being a punk are my favorite activities.
Selection
I wish there was some kind of indication of the fact that this store only has like TWO genres of records to choose from
