James helped me out and was a great experience!! Guys are really great and their selection is great! Thanks guys!
Great people wil be back to shop more
Local knowledge and help when needed the most! Friendly staff and excellent services! Highly recommended!
Drove by & stopped because I’m new to the area and was looking for a music store. I’m a new drummer, so I was only curious about their drum supplies. Sadly, they had very little drum stuff, with only a handful of used cymbals for sale on display that I could try out.
The few drum sets they had were used, in bad condition & were stacked (not on stands or with heads on them). So, I was a bit disappointed.
Store looked a bit old, dirty & run down. The two guys working behind the counter were busy chatting with regular customers, but did welcome me when I entered the store. They were pleasant enough (which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2). Wish they had more quality drum stuff to offer.
Nice enough staff. Lots of good inventory.
the staff is helpful. Just check the things out before you buy, the stuff is used so check it out and make sure it works the way you want it to work.
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
Dropped a guitar off for the owner to look at. He told me over the phone he’d give $150 for it and only a few hours later when I came in to get the money he prints me a ticket off and hands me $100. I reminded him that wasn’t what we agreed on and all he said was “that’s all I can do unless you want me to undo the transaction”. Not good business in my opinion. He lost a customer over 50 bucks. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And now he’s calling me a liar. This isn’t some story I made up when I was bored, it actually happened. Remember the guitar was dropped off so it could be appraised. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but this one was earned.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(

Address: 101 AR-96 C, Lavaca, AR 72941 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
The quality of the Musicians and recordings are professional grade. Dillon and the other employees offer great advice. Definitely worth the money, this is the place to come if you want to turn your demos into radio ready recordings. 10/10 recommend
This place is so cool and can meet all your recording needs a wide variety of music to choose from.
This is the place to turn dreams into reality! Walked in and immediately felt at home and comfortable with singing when I had never done it before, they will teach you anything you’d like to know about becoming a musician and they are so VERY talented at what they do. 10/10 recommend.
7. Saied Music Co
Address: 4300 Rogers Ave #55, Fort Smith, AR 72903 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
Bought 2 song books and they are ordering the 3 one I wanted.
Best place I have been In my life. The employees are really nice and actually have a soul unlike other places.
They had the components I needed and were very helpful.
They are very friendly and have good service. I believe they are high on their prices.
I showed them the kind of guitar strings I needed specifically not knowing entirely the name because they’re the experts right? I said I needed bullet strings for two fender guitars… they sold me a pack of “strings with the ball on the end” and when I opened the package they weren’t what I needed. A musical instrument store where the workers don’t know anything about musical instruments. Don’t waste your time or money or money, you’ll just be gaslit.
I bought a keyboard DGX-640 from this store which is cost $920. Then I realized the keyboard was not brand new and there was no box at all. Later, I did a research online, (Ebay, Amazon..etc.) and found that the original price was only $599 including everything. Most of the keyboards they are selling are not brand new at all. Be ware!

This is THE place to go for any thing guitar repair! Had him fix up my bass and restring my guitars, he’s the best around! Never been to a better place. If I could give 10 out of 5 stars I would
They did an excellent job repairing my guitar. Customer service is five-star!
Amazing company. Friendly service all around swell people
Good repair work
9. New Start Design Studio
Address: 1708 Fred Patterson Dr, Central City, AR 72941 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
Haven’t got my sax back yet, but I got a good feeling from talking to Scott, like he actually cared about getting my instrument in order, and he wasn’t just trying to make a buck.
Update: Killer service at a phenomenal price. Just got my sax back today and feel I got an amazing deal for the work put into it. Will definitely return here, should I need to.
Absolutely love this place!!! I went here last year to get my son’s clarinet repaded and looked over he did it very quickly it was very fairly priced I would recommend him to anyone, this year came back my son was having problems with one of the pads he repaired it replaced it for free! and now I always buy my cleaning supplies for the clarinet here he is just amazing he goes above and beyond I will always come here for any band instrument repairs I’ll need thank you for loving what you do!
This place is amazing.
I learned that before ever setting eyes upon the building. Four different people from separate places recommended it in one day.
After speaking with Mr. Scott, I got a glimpse as to why. These folks care for instruments and those who play them. Many schools in the area utilize their services for their students, and the people venture to said schools to aid in education, cleaning, and repair of the students’ instruments.
Multiple places also use their services for leased-instrument insurance, for an incredibly fair rate of $5 a month. I find this utterly spectacular.
DSD is an amazing business!
I was going to give this company a try. Told him several times I was going to be there by 3:30 on Friday. Good luck with getting your instruments back.
I purchased a used RME mic pre-amp unit from LH Music in June 2023. The item was very well packed when it arrived, and the condition of the unit was much better than I could have hoped for.
The seller was very prompt in answering my questions and in shipping, and the price of the preamp and shipping was very fair. He is on my short list of preferred sellers, and I now check his website regularly for used and new gear.
Great interaction online, very fast shipping, items as described. Very pleasant interaction.
Wow! Oscar goes above and beyond for his customers. My Apollo Twin X was shipped immediately and when I had software issues, he stayed with me until they were resolved. He’s honest and caring. His prices are fair and competitive. Thanks again!
13. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
Best price I could find on the parts I was looking for, with fast delivery.
Always a good experience shopping here.
Largest music instruments shop in the area.
Mixed bag. Some employees are great, others rude and condescending. Rude enough I’d rather go to a pawn shop than do further business here, which is a pity.
Efficient store operation but lacks collection.
Took music lessons here once. Paid for 3 lessons and only got two. The instructor cancelled the last one and said he would reschedule but never did
I bought a Zero Glide zero fret nut replacement through Amazon, but it was fulfilled and shipped by Arkansas Musicworks. I bought it 8/3/18. It is now 8/12 and there has been no shipment. Amazon emailed that the seller had not shipped within the time frame allotted and that I could cancel the order, follow up directly with Arkansas Musicworks, or whatever. I cancelled and will buy elsewhere. Never a peep out Arkansas Musicworks. Small item but they totally dropped the ball. Now I wouldn’t trust them for anything I need or am in a rush for.
Brought my guitar into get work done on it. Neck reset and put new strings on it. They ship it out to the luthier who gives it back in worse condition than I gave it to them in. DO NOT USE!
I was visiting Arkansas for a short time and had a last-minute need for an accessory for my USB microphone. I tried to call them numerous times over two days and no one ever answered the phone, nor did anyone ever return my call despite my leaving a message on the answering machine. So I risked it and drove to the store (because they were the only thing around the area), and when I got to the store I could see that unless I was a guitar player or drummer, I was probably out of luck. I just needed a wind sock for my microphone. They had ONE product that fit that description – with four socks, and all small. I finally had to settle on getting a popscreen instead. I honestly think in my particular situation I would’ve been better off ordering something online or going to BestBuy.
14. Big Event Music
Address: 149 E Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
Very friendly service. I had my Les Paul rewired after a nightmare experience with a shop in Monroe, La. Big Event did a superb job with my guitar! I also had a guitar with a Floyd Rose turned into a hard tail by blocking the tremolo. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great.
It’s over 100 miles from home but Big Event EARNED a new customer!
Thank you!
Dr. Steve Owen
Mike thx for explaining the issue with my 38 yr old Yamaha cut- away guitar.. in the future, i’ll get the bar ground down so the strings will be at the same level. i enjoyed the visual explanation, bc it allowed me to understand your comments… This is the second time I’ve been a customer. So far u have made two of my guitars sound better… Very pls’ed with the service, honesty, and flexibility. Merry Christmas.., Kevin
Very Helpful! Thank you for your service to our community.
Great people, over priced used stuff. Knowledge staff with understanding across most instruments. Some nice and not so nice used guitars in stock. BEM is part of the problem in this online society, people will come here to see things in person, then go to Musicians Friend to buy. Give it a try, but you will probably end up buying somewhere else. Jeff
Excellent service
I bought a lot of things from Brent when the store sold instruments and amps and was always happy with them. Unfortunately, things have changed. I brought a guitar in that needed a rewire job. I was aware they were busy with festivals but they kept my guitar for 2 months and finally called and told me they didn’t have time to fix it. Needless to say, I wont be back.
Holy cow. I didn’t even know this place was open until I went inside. Not very inviting and the whole building needs renovations. Seemed very trashy. Almost made me feel like the items there have less value just because of how badly ran the building is.
I bought everything from guitar cases to a JBL top of line PA from them before I found out they are totally BOGUS! Sold me used merchandise as new, then got an attitude when I called them on it! Cuss me out when you’re a thiefing liar? I don’t think so! I wouldn’t buy a guitar pick from these people!!!
15. Saied Music Co
Address: 2880 Point Cir, Fayetteville, AR 72704 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
Rentals are a bit pricey, but instruments are very high quality, and I have never had any major problems.
Everyone is easy to talk to and friendly. They carry a wide assortment of musical equipment. Typically geared for the student musician.
When I got there I was excited to be buying a ukulele something I’ve been wanting since I was little and when I asked how much taxes were because $82 up from the $54 seemed outrageous the man said idk and didn’t even check it just took an extra $21 and when I was asking questions about other instruments he had. No information literally making me. Still waiting on the money to be back in my account had to go to bed hungry tonight
Pretty great selection of instruments, however I felt extremely awkward with the staff and felt like my questions were intrusions. You could chalk this up to me just being anxious, but I would have much more appreciated an employee who could recommend stuff to me, and willing to help me find what I’m looking for. I’ll be going to A different shop to get what I need
Awful service. Bought strings for my guitar, and since im not very good at putting them on and they were the most expensive strings, i left my guitar for them to put the strings on for me bc they said theyd do it for free and that they would call me within a day or so. I waoted almsot a week and figured that i must have missed the call and went there to get my guitar. They hadnt even touched it and told me that it would be several more days before they could get to it. I just went ahead and took my guitar. Never getting my business again im just gonna go to guitar center.
16. Palmer Music Company
Address: 1131 Front St, Conway, AR 72032 , Lavaca , Arkansas , United States
Walked in to a very friendly staff who is well knowledgeable and easy to work with! Those dudes really know there stuff and are willing to bend over backwards for your business! And all there guitars are set up when you buy them too so that’s a plus. And they really do have great prices for being a small business. This is the only guitar store I will go to from now on. And I live an hour away. Give these guys your business!
Very knowledgeable, friendly folks!
My guitar was in for repairs for about 4 months. Almost no communication was provided about status of the repair work. It’s understandable with Covid making it difficult to have parts shipped, but the lack of adequate communication was uncomfortably disappointing. I don’t blame the young individual who was working on my guitar, but rather leadership who should have provided direction on appropriate and timely customer service communication. It doesn’t matter to me that it would have taken considerable time for repairs. But the lack of communication stating that due to a backlog in parts, and it was just a waiting game, would have been enough. A 30 second phone call every couple of weeks or so to advise a customer that no progress has been made is better than nothing…it would have been enough to have left my guitar there for months longer. The ironic thing about all this is that I really like the store and the people at Palmer Music, so I will most likely continue to purchase my music supplies from them and I hope my experience there was a one-off….
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
