Husonics is a great music store. The owner is a good guy who will go to great lengths to help his customers. The great instruments and services offered by Bill are exactly what you would want in a music store.
Excellent, top notch service and quality. Beautiful instruments and accessories with knowledge staff. They also do great repairs.
The owner was very busy, but took the time to remove a stuck mouth piece on a 90 year old trumpet. Thumbs up!
They are so easy to work with and flexible. Always supportive of my children. They love going and are part of a community.
Ms. Harris at TR Music and Voice Lessons is an amazing piano teacher who tailors lessons to our son Mason’s interests, keeping him passionate about playing.
We spoke briefly about my daughter’s interests and he was not at all shocked about our requirements to train in this specific genre (classic rock). We discussed my daughter’s learning Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, and I told him she intended to master “Voodoo Child,” and how that was a mandatory outcome of our training. Without missing a beat, Willie agreed confidently that Alex Z. was our man. Willie told me everything I would need to purchase up front so we would be ready to go when our session started. It was a very simple and straightforward process.
4. Frank Ierna Piano Tuner
Address: 7195 33rd St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702 , Lealman , Florida , United States
Frank just tuned the piano at Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber Restaurant on Clearwater Beach. Myself and Lloyd are two of the piano players there and we felt that he did a fantastic job! The notes are all in very good tune and sound much more clear than before. He also came out quickly to do the job. Thanks again!
Friendly, courteous, professional, skilled in his craft – 10/10
Good guy. Awesome service. He has fixed and tuned one piano and tuned a second piano for us (several years apart). We would highly recommend for any level of piano work.
5. BTMVLE Studios
Address: 4200 28th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33714 , Lealman , Florida , United States
Great guy who helped out a beginning guitarist. I’ve never played before but was pretty sure my guitar was out of tune. I brought it in and he tuned it for free and gave me great feedback on my instrument. I was also able to pick up some guitar picks at a great price. I will definitely be back for anything I need with my guitar and probably for lessons as well.
Moe has a great supply of instruments and knowledge to fix equipment, I’ve had several instruments and different equipment fixed by him as well as purchasing some very cool instruments. He gets new things in all the time so you got to keep going back in!!
Great friendly service
I know Moe personally and he will go the extra mile to make you happy and give you the best deal possible.
Lots of instruments to choose from
7. Fletcher Music Center Inc
Address: 12717 59th Way N, Clearwater, FL 33760 , Lealman , Florida , United States
Outstanding musicians and customer service for LOWREY virtual orchestras!
They only sell organs. I’m sure they’re certainly nice and talented at that, but if you’re looking for a traditional musical instrument shop like I was, keep looking 🙂
Had a great time
Told me other places to pick up what I was looking for and what they had to offer. Very courteous and informative.
Great music store, excellent customer service, great music instructors.
Gave great advice on the repair of my guitar strings. The owner (Mr.Villano), made helpful and insightful suggestions. Very knowledgeable!
Absolutely the best string instrument set-up, adjustment, and repairs.
I have known Len Villano for many years, and he is my number one call
for maintenance of all my guitars. He’ll put any guitar or bass in the most playable condition possible. Highly recommended!
Nice staff. Small inventory
It would be nice if they open when they say they will be open…
Called the store to see if they could repair an isntrument for me and as I was calling I also visited their website. The website said closed so I hung up and was going to call back tomorrow. I then received a call from them which I didn’t ask for and I tried to explain why I was calling but the guy told me I was wasting my time. He never listened to what I had to say. I would have not given any stars but that is not an option to post. Rude.
Brought my brand new telecaster in for a setup and the owner did a good job, however when I brought it in a few weeks later to have fret sprout addressed, the owner mangled the high E side of the fretboard. It appears he used improper tools, sloppy technique, and did no protective taping. It is rough, uneven, and he also proceeded to over bevel the frets to almost 3 times the proper length so the string constantly pops off the side. When I brought it to his attention and asked him to pay to have the neck that he ruined replaced, he refused.
I called to ask what thier business hours were on a Thursday at 1:30pm. The old man answered the phone “Villano Music”. He hung up on me I thought by accident so I called back. The second time he answered with, “didn’t you notice I hung up the phone?” I don’t think he wants his business to last. Go to Sam Ash if you want a courteous person. Wow what a disappointment.
10. Seven C Music & Coffee
Address: 535 22nd St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 , Lealman , Florida , United States
It is imperative to visit Seven C Music if you’re looking to buy a guitar or even sell your guitar(s). They don’t buy your guitar on the spot and you’ll have to wait until they sell it but I got a much better amount for 2 guitars i consigned even after their commission and will never sell my gear to those “big box” stores again. Joel and staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and polite and after a couple of trips I bought a beautiful Taylor AD22e, stress and pressure free. Plus they have great weekend shows and their coffee is the best! Very glad I was able to find a “true” store to service my gear at too!
Such a cool shop!! If you need anything guitar they have it! From high end to reasonable, ukuleles too!! They do concerts & also have a coffee bar & an alcoholic bar as well. Great atmosphere!! Highly recommend!!
Seven C Music is usually my last stop on the Second Saturday Art Walk. Grateful they open their business for events and have great live local and National Musicians playing! Food truck, beverages, in/outside seating and accessible rest areas.
Nice place, a bit pricey. $50 for new strings. Pretty good selection.
I’m in guitar heaven
Very vibey store and unwelcoming. No one really ever spoke to us. We came to spend money but decided to take our business elsewhere. They had a lot of nice stuff but no one ever asked if we wanted to play something. By the way, I think this may be my first review.
Went over the weekend to check this place out with my son. Who is an avid guitar player and has a pretty impressive collection. Went in to get some help/ tips on a guitar he just purchased and one of the gentlemen (the one with the skully in the pic) that work their is just snobby and was such a downer no help at all. Thank god my son didn’t really listen to anything he said or was discouraged cause that guy didn’t really know what he was talking about because we actually ended up finding what we needed somewhere else who was a more educated guitar player. Definitely don’t recommend this place for anything else other than nice location. I was truly disappointed. Do better guy.
If anyone needs great service and you can actually feel welcome and play guitars go to ST PETE GUITARS
Took my Taylor NS32ce here about a year ago at other location, I was having some buzzing and tuning issues and thought it needed an adjustment, Owner agreed and took a look at the guitar and decided it needed a new neck joint shim, he asked to complete the job in store right then, I thought this was weird, but had read reviews that it was a good shop and I believe that they were affiliated with Taylor working there in the past or something so I trusted his judgment. This was a poor decision on my part, I watched him do the entire job in front of me in about a hour, I tried to tune up and play the guitar in store seemed OK at the time, but couldn’t really get a good listen inside a busy shop. When I got home the guitar was trashed, would not stay in tune for anything and felt like the neck was completely out of place from the new shim. Deflated, I took it to Sam Ash in Clearwater and had the tech take a look he agreed with the faulty work and kept it for a couple weeks and when I got it back it played like a dream again. I wasted a $100 at this place. I see the good reviews and wish the shop the best of luck, but wanted to tell my experience.
11. Pink Streets Music
Address: St. Petersburg, FL 33714 , Lealman , Florida , United States
I’ve been here for bits and pieces, but today I bought my fantasy axe. Great gear and very reasonable prices, this US Strat doesn’t just play like butter, but looks killer too. Excellent experience, thank you so much Rob! Highly recommend to any local musicians.
A great music store, went in to get my acoustic repaired and ended up trading it in and went home with a fabulous Taylor! Great selection , greater service, my acoustic got serviced while I waited, I had my 16month old daughter with me and she was mesmerized by all the guitars hanging on the wall! Great day ! I was so glad I was able to make that memory with her, mom and pop stores with great selection and service are a needle in a haystack, I am grateful I was able to find that needle!! the Taylor was in pristine shape, as was every other guitar either electric or acoustic on the walls! Go you will not be disappointed!! I was able to wait for my acoustic to be repaired and he let me compare my guitar to the Taylor so I could
Make a real decision! Many thanks!!
Mad Music is a medium sized store with superior selection and most excellent service, provided by fine folk/multi talented musician personnel – a top tier shop (to say the least ; -) !+
I was looking for a pair of drum sticks ( more less i had been thinking about when i get around to a music store and i was sitting at a a craft and drink / dessert place and saw the MAD MUSIC sign & desided to trot over and peek inside it was. pretty interesting and I got my drum sticks so now that I am retired living with my adult daughter 38 and 15 year old son its operation pay back time but I took it at the. Gee that would be a really enjoyable healthy way to keep my wrist limber ! who said aging wasn’t going to be fun!
Great tambourine
Guitars and selections ok
WOW!!
sorry to have to report this… Following a $1100 guitar purchase at MadMusic, got home plugged it in and realized I had a switch problem, called MadMusic and was promply told I didn’t know what I was talking about when comparing the guitar to one of the same make & model two years apart. I reluctantly opened the pickup cavity to find electrical tape failing Solder joints and floating bare wires, explaining the crackling clicks pops and inconsistent sound coming from the switch.
Not willing to even entertain the possibility there might be a problem with the instrument I just purchased, i’m left with the opinion, and I must report… these folks are liars and misrepresent the products they sell. What a drag, seemed like such a cool place.
Called store and Customer Service is non-existent, felt like I was bothering the guy. Spoke as if I was annoying him. This attitude just cost them a sale. If I could go as low as 0 stars, I would.
I purchased a FENDER frontman25R guitar amplifier from the owner .He told me it was a red leather special edition. I traded the FENDER 25R in at a local music store they showed me online the amplifier Mad Music sold me sells for $90.00 I got $40.00 the amplifier. I’m very upset that I trusted the owner of Mad Music he grossly overcharged me I will never recommend anyone to buy from him. Mad Music totally screwed me over!

Address: 2655 Fairfield Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 , Lealman , Florida , United States
Douglas is amazing! Patient AND entertaining! I took our 12-year-old son for his first lesson and he had a blast! Douglas was very patient and kind. The best part is Douglas lets families learn together so I’m taking lessons alongside my son. It’s great bonding time. Can’t wait for our next lesson next week! 🙂
Love his style of teaching he is overall the nicest teacher I have ever met and I look forward to every class I go to… I would suggest that if you are learning guitar to try him out as he has help me a lot in my guitar life in such a small amount of time!
I have been taking lessons from Douglas for almost 5 years now and even though i thought i knew how to play before starting lessons, my skills have greatly improved and now feel totally comfortable across the entire neck. from just stating out to improving your skills to become a better player Douglas can take you to that next level. With comfortable one on one lessons he will make you the next great guitar player!
Appears he is no longer in business. Called separate times on separate days and no answer. Last time I called, on the 4th ring someone picked up the phone and hung up. Maybe the ad should be removed?
Kelly is an exceptional producer and the studio is top notch. He also takes the time to give insight and advice on what it really takes to make it in the music world! Highly recommended.
Top notch talent in this studio.
Kelly is incredibly talented, which I expected since he’s played with bands like Underoath. What amazed me the most was the overall quality he produces. It’s like no-other studio in the Tampa/St pete. area. His prices are great and Sound is top-notch. Great recording enviroment with an even greater producer.
Great Product . Everything Baywood drops is pure gold. Independent artists struggle to get that Industry Quality but with his Sauce Presets the sky is the limit !!!!!
Hands down the best presets I’ve stumbled across! The most exciting part about them is the ability to learn how to mix vocals by seeing what each individual plugin is doing in the vocal chain Jordan provided. Best tip is to mix and match the tonal EQs and compressors and create your very own personal preset! GO BAYWOOD!!!!
Okay I am not joking when I say this changed my songs for the better. Baywood’s presets truthfully make your songs BOOM with a new life. 100% worth it 🙂
18. Zen Recording
Address: 3851 62nd Ave N STE I, Pinellas Park, FL 33781 , Lealman , Florida , United States
Mike is the best! You can book time by the hour.. this is the place to go if you’re a musician in the Clearwater/St.Pete area. Go check out out!
Awesome recording studio. I had a rehearsal there we did not record so I have no idea how professional they’re recording or the quality of their recordings. Everyone that I met at Zen recording was very cordial and I enjoyed the environment.
Best place I’ve been to to record rehearse and data transfer. Super friendly and fast services all around
19. Bananas Records: Audio Equipment /Sales
Address: 2243 16th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 , Lealman , Florida , United States
Great place with lots of DVD and Records and it’s cheaper than anywhere you can find Records
The used gear warehouse is like an audio museum! Yea it’s hot and cramped & that’s part of the charm. It’s more like a garage sale then a HIFI store so you can’t audition anything but that’s why you have a 2 week grace Period. I needed a dust cover for my old TT and They had a pile of them. Doug let me rummage through them till I found one that would work. They have separates, integrated amps, receivers tons of turntables, tape decks.. you name it. Whiners stay home but if you’re into vintage gear they’ve got it in spades!
I was very disappointed, I heard they buy vinyl albums so I took my “peaches” crate full of 1970s. rock and roll albums (Aerosmith to ZZ Top) into Bananas and they pretty much wanted me to give them to away!!
Used 2 love this place, sure endless stock of records BUT: overpriced, overhyped and stinks like crap in there. Attitude of the owners and some of the help is unacceptable. Bottom line: fair trade never, over pay always!
They will sell you broken stuff for a very expensive
20. Rock ‘n’ Blues Academy
Address: 3226 Bennett St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 , Lealman , Florida , United States
I have been an adult guitar student of the Rock n Blues Academy off and on for a couple of years. Dave and the other instructors are great, and it’s a fun place to learn music.
But even more awesome is the great environment they provide for children and teens. As a parent, this is exactly the type of “family-friendly” place I want my kids to hang out and play music!
