Cadence is my go-to for any musical needs. Todd, Tom, and Chris are essential to SWFL schools and will help you with anything you need! Can’t say enough good things about this store.
Rented an upright bass when I came into town for a show at the Broadway Palm. One of the best rentals I’ve played on. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to rent. Thank you so much!
I have had several reasons to visit Cadence. First was a couple of repairs on my double bass. Alex is a master and repairs were done well, and reasonably priced and quickly. (One repair had a deadline which he met.) Then I was in the market for a new clarinet. Todd took the time to work with me and talk me through the pros and cons of the clarinets I looked at and played. This is a great music store and I highly recommend them. They have a great team.
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument

Best sound stage lighting company ever Great to work with
In the industry we know Alex is the best. I don’t do stage shows but he’s got everything and he still can accommodate my silly radio show needs. Guitar Center is a hundred yards away don’t do that stop to see Alex first
This business it’s been here for years. It’s a good option if you need some party equipment rental.
So far so good
Very good services

What a great group of people. I was so impressed with the entrepreneurial spirit and positive energy of this group. The studio was well designed and up to date.
It’s in a league of its own. This is a one-of-a-kind experience. Make sure you check it out.
Fantastic mixes!!! Best I’ve ever had!!
Professional services, knowledgeable engineer, great prices
we are here on vacation from Indianapolis and my friend Steffond booked a session for today (06/29/22) 2 weeks ago with Dj (Delijah or something like that) from 4-8 and he still isn’t here. after 9 calls he answered and said he was “at the bank making a ~business~ account.” this is disappointing and unprofessional.
They want atole your money change the bottle price at mightnigt
5. Guitar Center
Address: 4440 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Lee County , Florida , United States
This store is an old friend. I am a Guitar Center Customer for twenty years. Always friendly – they have what I need.
Buen sutido y una buena atencion ademas precios razonables
First time dealing with Guitar Center and last. I tried to sell two guitars to them by filling out their online form. Nobody called me like they said they would. I even gave them an extra day before calling them. I called them 30mins after they had already opened. I called about 10 times in a row before someone finally answered. They put me on hold and hung up on me. I called another 8 to 10 times in a row before some other random person picked up. He put me on hold for 5 mins so I had to hang up on him. I then called their main customer service number to find out why the Guitar Center in Fort Myers, FL. can’t seem to provide any form of customer service. That was of course a waste of time too. The customer service person kept talking over me and not answering my questions. So I had to just hang up on him as well. So I emailed the company or store. I don’t know where the email was being sent to. Gave them a piece of my mind and told them to call me if they wanted my business. You guessed it, they didn’t call me back. So with service like that, just on the phone mind you. I don’t know how Guitar Center is even in business. I’d rate them a 0 if I could. So now I’m forced to try and use OfferUp or Craigslist to sell my two guitars. Terrible company and unacceptable service.
Waste of time have nothing they advertise on sale
Came in to sell an audio pedal. Internet was down so the employee told me to come back another time and apologized for the inconvenience. No problem. I come back 2 or 3 days later. I wait 30 minutes after they checked my ID for a manager to come and approve the deal. Maybe I’m overreacting with my star rating and he really needed to wack one out before helping me.
6. TR Music & Voice Lessons
Address: 2910 Broadway, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Lee County , Florida , United States
Ziggie’s is a great little store. I used to live nearby and would stop in for guitar, bass and mandolin strings. They were always helpful and would often offer a discount on strings if I was trying out new types and was unsure about them.
What more could you want when dealing with all the details of a wedding? He had great suggestions and was very organized. I would definitely recommend him!
My daughter has been going there for 4 years now and has made some great relationships in her group lessons and loves her piano teacher, Ronja. Everyone on staff is so friendly and personable. They really work with the strengths of each individual. My daugher is really happy and it has really helped with building her confidence and opened up her love for music!
I sceduled a guitar lesson for my 6 years old son and right after my payment went thru I started receiving text messages welcoming and promising the best experience ever… Was told my trainer would contact me 2 or 3 days in advance and tell me the location( that never happened), instead I received a voice mail 1 day before my appointment from someone called Megan saying my instructor wasn’t able to meet us but to call her back to accomodate our appointment to someone else. They sent a list of other instructors after my appointment day had passed. I see this people are not organized at all, all they want is to take your money and walk away. They never offered me a refund of my money or tried to at least make it on time. If I could give them 0 stars I would do it. Definitely no recommending to anyone.
7. Kings Chambers Band
Address: 3080 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Lee County , Florida , United States
Im from out of town and finding good metal is hard to come by
This is my favorite place to go in town, even just as a place to look around. The store is packed to the brim with all formats, with CDs being somewhat lesser. There’s hundreds of vinyls and, the holy grail for me, cassettes. The guys there are personable and friendly, and are always fun to talk to about almost any band or artist. They’ll even sometimes recommend a band similar to one you’re interested in if you’re talking about them.
Great place for vinyl, cassette tapes, graphic novels and collectibles. More vinyl records than anything else. Very large selection of new and used. Also participates in Record Store Day.
Great place, huge selection for a smaller place. Guys were cool and friendly
Huge selection. Not enough space for everything. The people were very nice! It’s hard to find good customer service now-a-days.
Tons of vintage records & comics.
Lots of records in this small place and tons more packed in boxes which seem to have taken over everything here. Prices a tad high and many boxes with other records that the owner will refuse to let you look at, since he hasn’t sorted them yet. Very tight spaces, almost resembles a hoarders home, but with boxes of comics, records, 45s and other stuff everywhere. Even boxes on top of the Beatles albums!! And so many used and vintage turntables that are visible, but you can’t look at them because they are piled on top of each other! More stuff in that tiny, narrow pathway to the restroom you could imagine that probably hasn’t been sorted in years!! Suggestion, try to move into a much bigger room, it’ll look much more organized. 2/5 stars
Crowded… Nothing has prices…he looks stuff up on ebay before selling… Ebay isn’t a reliable source!!
As a vinyl collector for nearly 50 years I’m always on the hunt every time I travel for stores. Out of a half dozen or so in the Ft. Meyers area I decided on this one. Lots of interesting pieces here. Lots of things I would have been interested in buying, but quite a few were well above market prices. Probably explains why a lot of it was still there. The place is so packed it’s actually damaging some of the sleeves. It is a great dig. When you dig you stand a fair chance of coming up with some in market range. I did walk out with 5 that were definitely unique and within market prices. The ridiculously uncomfortable conditions make it difficult to spend more than 30 minutes in there. I occasionally will spend upwards of 4 hrs or more on a good dig. Couldn’t do that here Finally, he uses price stickers attached directly to the sleeves. Not the easy to remove ones either. Cheap ones that damage even the best coated sleeves. This is a showstopper especially at some of these prices. If you want me to pay top dollar I want an absolutely pristine product. Not something that the art has been married by dime store price stickers. It would be worth going back but there are a lot of other places to explore.
We purchased our Baby Grand from J&K in 2006. We traded in an old upright towards it. They were kind & fair. Fast forward 11 years… I was relocating to Arizona & the piano would not fit in the truck. Jay may not have known it when I called him to ask for piano mover referrals, but I was holding back tears. My three Sons played on that piano for years & I couldn’t imagine leaving it behind. Everytime I looked at it I saw them & the most incredible memories came rushing in. Long story short, Jay offered a consigning option but when I finally found a reasonable quote, Jay provided peace of mind by assuring me they were reputable company. Jay took time to listen & guide (he had to access his DOS computer), to locate our purchase record! He went out of his way to help me, service that is missing today in most industries but that drives loyalty. If you need a piano, please go to J & K Piano, you will not be disappointed and 11 years later they will remember you!
Purchased a beautiful used Kawai piano from Jay. Price was great as well as the service. We delayed the delivery by 6 months as our house wasn’t ready and Jay had no issue with that at all nor did he charge us for storage. He always answered our calls and was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and go back again if I needed a different piano.
Wonderful experience. Nice selection of Roland keyboards and pianos. Jay is very knowledgeable and I’m thrilled with my purchase. I highly recommend them.
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
Great people very helpful highly recommended
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
13. Krautrock Recordstore

Mr Music is a great place for all your music needs. I have been a loyal customer for a few years. The staff is very knowlegable and professional. You will not be disappointed!
I found the staff very courteous and friendly. I enjoyed every minute of my stay while I was getting piano lesson.
I’ve had a great instructor at Mr. Music and bought a new guitar there as well as having some restringing done. I’m very satisfied with the personnel and service—Good doing business with theml
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Nice Place but very pricey… A lot of things you can get on Amazon for way cheaper.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
15. Coral Sky Music
Address: 1059 NE Pine Island Rd #3, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Lee County , Florida , United States
If there was a 6th star, this place would have it.
Stopped by on a whim, Frank is great and I love the PRS he sold me. 5 Stars for sure.
Great little place with knowledgeable staff. CHEAPEST GUITAR STRINGS I’VE FOUND IN TOWN! Not a lot in stock, but they will order in.
Drove all the way to the store and closed at noon on a Friday.
Stopped in today to check this place out only to find a ‘We Fear COVID’ notice on the door. LOSERS!! Can’t believe people in the music industry act this way!!
16. Modtech Inc
Address: 901 East Industrial Circle, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Lee County , Florida , United States
Joe’s store is outstanding. Well stocked, well organized, and Joe is always pleasant to talk to. He carries a HUGE variety of titles, so the problem won’t be finding something you want, it’ll be showing restraint.
Props to Joe as well for having a copy of The Mars Volta “De-Loused in the Comatorium” for a great price. I’d been hunting that record for years, but didn’t want to spend a car payment on it.
Had what I was looking for.
Cool throw back record shop. VINYL and more….check it out
I was treated very nice an they are good people and the prices are affordable
A fun place to look for cool songs on Vinyl.
Comics and vinyl records
worst place ever. If I could leave zero stars I would. Don’t waste your time here.
No masks, no social distancing.
18. Unity Gain Recording Studio
Address: 1953 Ricardo Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Lee County , Florida , United States
Before I built my own studio UG was first choice. 5 stars.
Anthony restored recordings of my uncles sermons that had been damaged! Our family is very grateful for his knowledge and attention to detail. The extra time editing was well worth the cost. As these new versions sound better than the originals!
Thank you,
The Wirth Iannucci family.
Very friendly and professional, I can’t ask for more.
Like their music
Thorough. Simple.
No response or callback!
19. Master Mindz Music
Address: 3614 Evans Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Lee County , Florida , United States
Awesome place and the owner Liz definitely took care of my request! Definitely going to be a frequent visitor!
So Nice to have a music store in Ft.myers with friendly service and great music.
Excited for what this local vinyl spot will become. They are working on increasing inventory at the moment. Had a nice conversation with the owner, Liz. Friendly chill environment. Wide musical options – jazz, heavy, hip hop, alternative, rock, soft. They’ve been open for a few weeks now. They have a listening station to check out used vinyl quality before buying which I really appreciate. New/used and a bargin $2.99 bin. From what I looked at the grading of used vinyl is in line. Also some 8-track and cassette items for purchase. She is reviewing and purchasing collections by appointment at the moment and was interested in my “want list” should she come across it. Picked up a Wu-Tang (forever), Tribe and OXO vinyl. Thanks, Liz!!!
They were out of stickers. She’s getting more in and she promised to set some aside for me.
