Super fun to talk with, lots of CDs and Vinyls, everything you’d want should be here
Really cool store full of records, cds, and other fun music and pop culture memorabilia like posters and shirts! Very large selection of music with many different genres, new and old; expansive discount section too! Highly recommend checking this place out!
Cool place that recently opened in September. The guy running the store, Lucas, was nice and friendly. Make sure to check this place out!
3. Florida Violins
Address: 325 W Venice Ave Suite D, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
David has taken exceptional care of my instruments.
Love this place, very friendly owners.
Just came back from the shop. It was in downtown Venice. The owner was a very knowledgeable violin maker. He fixed my son’s bow (bought from elsewhere) for free. He explained to me what the problem was, and he went the extend of drawing a diagram to show me. I will probably go to him again when we need a bigger violin.
4. Venetian Academy of Music
Address: 537 E Venice Ave STE E, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
10/10 recommend. Responsive, attentive and accommodating to my playlist requests. The musician was nicely synced and I could easily make out what she was playing. It could have been a little louder, but I am overall satisfied with the performance. My guests enjoyed a violin on the beach.
6. Karen’s Violins
Address: 100 W Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
My son has been taking lessons with Karen for almost a year now and he has really enjoyed it so far. Karen is an excellent teacher and I would recommend her to anyone considering violin lessons in the area.
7. island recording studio
Address: 101 W Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
Super clean! High quality items, huge selection. Best goodwill I have been to yet. I have been all over this country 🙂
A lot of interesting stuff comes into this goodwill in particular
It’s a place for nick knacks
The store is clean and organized well. There never seems to be any stickers left for the discount color even when I go on Sunday which is the day of the discount color change. These stores are always busy but for me the prices are way high for donated stuff.
I accidentally left a sale item at the register, when I returned the next day, the sale was off and the manager refused to help. This place is poorly run with customer service. Let’s be real, the sale price was still a profit, the item was donated, so any price was 100% profit.
No sales.. nothing organized by size.
Very disappointing atmosphere.
9. Tidewell Treasures – Venice
Address: 523 Venice Bypass #41, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
Found lots of clothes and towels. Everything was 50%off that day!
Great volunteers doing great work for a worthy organization. Like many thrift shops, it is all about the “hunt.”. Sometimes there is a treasure and sometimes there’s not. Please consider donating your unneeded treasures to them.
Wonderful thrift store with great volunteers- helpful, friendly;, and so many good buys- furniture, glassware, clothes, etc- one of the best stores and for a great cause! Shop here often!
I moved to Venice some 8 years ago. In my first few years here I ended up furnishing my entire apartment from Tidewell. My beds, obviously, I purchased new at Macy’s; otherwise, everything else came from Tidewell. Their prices are very competitive and I can attest to this since I worked in a consignment store in Austin, Tx.
Their prices are hard to beat and they have a nice and accommodating staff. Don’t pass up this place.
Lots of slightly used items. Most prices are reasonable, but some items are ridiculously overpriced.
Good place to shop
Not sure what happened to my beloved store. The prices are through the roof. I normally shop there a few times a week but not anymore. Some prices are as much or more than you can buy it in the dept stores. I’m sorry but I’m not going back.
I says it is open on Sunday but it wasn’t!!
Very bad experience with this store.
10. Venice Performing Arts Center
Address: 1 Indian Ave building 5, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
Venice Symphony! Beautiful, World Class performing arts hall… and Troy Quinn! I highly recommend this event and venue!
Awesome and delightful!
Great lighting and sense of youthful performances
Place was ok. Didn’t bother to turn up the AC so it made watching the show a little uncomfortable
Tried to buy a gift card, and it wouldn’t work on their website. I also called and left a message, they were closed for almost a month, I gave up.
The performance was amazing, but the long long line trying to get in was confused and frustrating. We were told on the phone there was no reserved seating, but people did have reserved seating tickets. My friend called for tickets and was told to pick them up at will-call. But there were no tickets there in her name. Inside, I asked for a program and was told by an usher there were no programs. The lady next to me had one. There was a pile of programs on a nearby chair. There weren’t enough seats for the crowd. If the ushers were volunteers, they need more training and info. Still, the Jazz Ambassadors were great!
Superb!
11. Venice Wine & Coffee Co
Address: 201 W Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
Great local shop and cage with delicious cold pressed coffee.
Friday night wine sharing!
Best place to get a Glass wine
Irritable female cashier.
I was looking at monogrammed coasters, but not finding the one I wanted. As I went through them, I was putting the ones I found in the beginning of the alphabet, back where they belonged. By the time she asked if I was looking for something (with a tone that clearly stated I wasn’t welcome to touch them merchandise) I had been through everything they had out. I told her the letter I was looking for & she told me, “There are a couple there; they are in alphabetical order.” (Again, with a tone letting me know I was irritating her.) I let her know I didn’t see any, and had been putting items back in alphabetical order. She came over to prove me wrong, and didn’t find the letter I was looking for, saying, “Well, there was one when I put them in order a few days ago.” I guess they didn’t have any back in stock, she didn’t offer to look.
I purchased 3 blown glass bottle toppers. She wasn’t very warm or chatty then either.
There was a guy in the back that was nice & welcoming. The food from the cafe in back smelled amazing. We had had breakfast already.
We’ve been going here for 17 years. Great wines, cheeses
Love lunch here. They have some great specialities for lunch.
Coming from a wine region, I was excited to visit something different. Our waitress was awesome. But the lady behind her, the way she acted, like she was the manager was beyond rude on every level from her dirty looks to saying snide remarks as she was walking by, obviously listening to our conversation about where we were from. This happened more than once. I probably would of spent a couple of hundred in there, but I was so disgusted with her attitude, I only spent 20 on what I already ordered. This all happened sitting at the bar.
Horrible soup. Still sick. Rotten help. Rotten food.
I don’t think I’ve ever given the one-star but here it is. I invited my mother down from PA to sample beautiful downtown Venice. As a wine lover I already knew of the store so I insisted we stop in for some tasting and a few bottles. While sitting at the bar reading the menu waiting to place our order we were asked if we could move so some other people could sit. No discussion, no can I get you anything, just snobby looks and no help. We had our masks on and I’m not poor by any means. It very much felt like the movie pretty woman when she went in to buy a dress and was made to feel she should just leave.
12. Info Pilgrims
Address: pattison bldg, 260 Miami Ave W, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
Friendliest pawn shop we’ve ever been to. My wife and I go here first for jewelry and guns. Great staff!
Come to Quick Draw Quality Pawn..It is by far the best Pawn shop in the area! The Young Men that work there are polite and courteous! A great experience!! They do pay the most for gold and silver across the board!!
Great honest, personable guys and very fair with their prices!
Employees are rude and tools are over priced
Dont bother stopping here
My visit at this pawn shop was one of the worse buy/sell experience I have ever had. Walked in to a friendly staff, but the moment you try to counteroffer, 3 people are coming at you as to why you’re wrong. My Xbox had a little dust on it and the manager felt the need to call me a smoker as that was the reason my Xbox had dust….lol Yet I’m the one with all my teeth. I was quoted $50 and not a penny more. Take the 12 mile trip to Port Cirty pawn as they are 5 stars and friendly. They gave me $80 for the same Xbox.
Told my old bell telephone was worth $1 and my Tiffany bracelet since its not real Tiffany metal is $5 thumbs down ND I have bought from them before never again a rip off
14. Big Lots
Address: 565 U.S. 41 Bypass N, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
Never disappointed. Great prices quick lines always has great deals.
Good prices, nice customer service

Not easy to navigate the isles to find items but frustrating unable to find help
Good place to go for Christmas presents.
The assistan manager was a amazing before that the other employees treated us like we were bothing them. The lady or older gal at the front dose not like to help new people she makes it seem like it’s an issue to help the new people so sad.
Bugs all over the store. Moths flying everywhere I guess birdseed or something went bad maybe some flour? It really turned me off. I left the store and decided to spend my money at Walmart at least it is clean. The cashier wasn’t even really friendly. Seemed to be in her own world.
Looking for 3 things, they didn’t have any of them. Praise the Lord!
15. Venice Theatre
Address: 140 Tampa Ave W, Venice, FL 34285 , Venice , Florida , United States
I highly recommend Smokey Joe’s Cafe, currently at the Venice Theatre. The show is full of high energy, great singing, and lively dancing. I especially like the quartet of men singing “Keep on Rolling.” This was possibly the best show I have seen at the Venice Theatre.
Wonderful show South Pacific!
Wonderful Theatre!
I don’t know who redesigned this theater but come on. I’m not an especially big person and the seats are so tight and uncomfortable that I will really have to think twice about coming back.
We’ve seen countless shows here and enjoyed most of them.
Urinetown hasn’t even started and my neck and back hurt. Forget about leg room.
You’re not supposed to be crammed into little seats at the theater.
If you have to, charge an extra $5.00 and get rid of some these seats so people can spread out and enjoy the show.
HORRIBLE!
*You’ll notice I’ve upgraded my review to four stars. The manager of the theater is a wonderful lady who assured me the theater was not re-done, so maybe the seats we were in are tighter than the rows where we usually sit.
My point being, when I explained the problem I was having with the seats, the manager had no problem with us moving to the empty handicapped seating. She knows about providing excellent customer service. And the play we saw, Urinetown was great too.
A lovely, small theater venue with a fine, rotating schedule that features live entertainment of the musical and theatrical variety.
Seating is comfortable. They have a bar with a surprisingly varied menu and you’re welcome to take your beverages into the theater. Music filled the main reception area when we were there and the performance of To Kill a Mockingbird was pretty well sold out.
The acting was of solid quality for the size of the venue.
There are two theaters in the facility: one larger than the other, and judging by the posters hanging about the main entry, there are improvements coming to the facility.
If you’re looking for live theater in the Venice area for sensible prices, then you need look no further.

Show was great!! Came to Florida so I wouldn’t have to deal with covid mandates and I get kicked out for not wearing a mask.
Poor acting. Not worth it.
Ok. Theater small
16. The Piano Guys
Address: 726 Commerce Dr Suite 106, Venice, FL 34292 , Venice , Florida , United States
They are just the nicest, have bought two pianos from them- a starter and then an upgrade. Great selection, good prices, great delivery.
My girls have a digital piano (Privia) that we bought online and has served us well for many years, but thankfully they have really progressed and reached its limitations in that they have gotten good enough where key feel and other nuances (sound-related) actually matter more and more. Quite an issue when they have to prepare a piece at home and perform on an acoustic or higher quality digital elsewhere. This led me to researching what next-level digital to get (due to space and schedules, an acoustic is out of the question) and I was thrilled to see that Piano Guys had just about every viable contender in stock, and on display ready to be tried out! I live up in Tampa, but the drive down was more than worth it. The treatment there is very professional yet welcoming. This place is PACKED with pianos, from keyboards and student-grade digital pianos up to the most sophisticated hybrids, and (although not what I was looking for) they also have quite a number of acoustics, uprights and consoles all the way up to grands. It was pretty neat to try out the digital Celviano we were interested and seconds later play a Steinway for comparison! The grand was wonderful of course, but it also served to highlight how great the action on the new digital felt. The icing on the cake is that unlike cheaper, everyday wares that you can always find online for less money than at brick and mortar stores, with better pianos not exactly being a high volume item, you actually get HIGHER prices online, with the added worry of shipping concerns and non-local support. They actually have the model I like for a few hundred less than the best online price I could find (still have a bit more saving to do before making my purchase though 🙁 ) I’m a big fan of supporting small, local businesses even when priced slightly higher than the corporate giants, so you can imagine that finding a small, local place, well-stocked and with great service is a grand slam home run to me. Highly recommend you shop here if you’re interested in a quality piano at any stage of your progress, from beginner to pro. On my way out I also saw they give piano classes, too far for me, but figured I’d mention it. Sorry for the novel, but like I said, I just love supporting good local businesses.
I can say with confidence that every other 5 star review in of this piano store is done with good reason. I recommend this store to anyone who wants quality pianos for reasonable prices, and best of all, a friendly service. I am more than happy with my new piano at home.
Great selection of new and pre-owned / refurbished pianos, both electronic and acoustic. The staff was very helpful and friendly; we’ll definitely be back for our next piano. Be prepared to mask up when you go in.
We had a difference of opinion regarding the results of my Bluthner tuning, but l believe them to be generally honest and hardworking professionals who try very hard to make their customers happy.
They SUCK
Driving on 75 yesterday morning. Their business vehicle and trailer were easily going 95 on the interstate running people off the road, blasting their horn at people in the middle lane to get around them, riding people’s bumper. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t kill somebody soon. If this is how they are in the road I wouldn’t hire them.
