Such great variety and the gentleman man that runs the shop is very knowledgeable.
Love this cozy little place! The man that runs it is super kind and the selection and care for the records is amazing 🙂
This is one of the last small traditional record stores around. Dave the proprietor has an excellent knowledge of music and stocks a good variety of music. His recommendations are well worth considering. For the music aficionado this is a place worth seeking out. And if he doesn’t have what you are looking for he can usually order it in.
cool little place! i wish the business hours were more well-known though
Solid collection, though not much variety in the vinyls section. Definitely recommend more for CDs (not my poison, personally)
Small place but good selection of new and classic music. Mostly new CD and vinyl, not much used.
Waited for 20-minutes and they never opened. Check website, Google, and called and there are no notes about their hours being different. I walked away and the guy sitting in the car outside the front door walked in, relocked the door and turned on lights and still didn’t open.
3. Lindi’s Music Notes
Address: 532 Burrell Ave, Lewiston, ID 83501 , Lewis County , Idaho , United States
I have had Lindi’s Music Notes tune 2 of my pianos. One was very old and had never been tuned, she was very honest with what the outcome of that tune would be before she started. That piano has since been retired. 🙂 She provided a referral to Grand American Piano where I purchased a beautiful baby grand piano. She has also tuned that piano after it was in place. I am very picky and she has exceeded my expectations.
So very unhappy with her piano tuning services. She came out and tuned my piano and the “D” key , after middle c, stopped working 90% of the time, which made it difficult to practice. When I called her to come fix it, she said she couldn’t come back for a while. I set up an appointment 3 months in advance. A few days before the appointment she texted me, saying she couldn’t come. Gave me no reason why. I did insist, because we had a hard time playing the piano. She did end up coming, but she wasn’t happy. She took my piano apart, come to find out, she dropped one of the rubber wedges inside the piano and she didn’t pick it up. No biggie, she removed it and that resolved the stuck keys. However, she decided to do a little unauthorized modification on my piano. She unhooked several power cords (I have a combo piano/organ. While I wasn’t using the organ, I didn’t want her to mess with it. She also unhooked 2 of my pianos peddles, the far left and middle peddles, stating that my kids needed to learn how to play without using those pedals. They have been taking lessons for 6 years now and have never used those pedals, but that doesnt give her the right to alter my piano. She didn’t inform me she was unhooking them until she had already put my piano back together and was leaving. Then, after she put the keys back on, she supposedly “tuned” my piano again, but it was as out of key as it has ever been.
I’ve had this piano since I was 10 (I’m 43 now) and I’ve never had problems with it until Lindi touched my piano.
They are the only ones that REALLY know their stuff.
Pretty nice people
Got a strap…mask…and screw for my daughter’s saxophone they had what we needed for a decent price…we will make this place our go to place for music needs!!!
Good people
Really good but switched my sax mouth piece for clarinet mouth piece
everything you need
They fix guitars but your screwd if you got a Floyd rose. Other than that good store good people.
Two people there. One was great and full of advice the other made us feel like we had no business being there because we weren’t master musicians. I will take my business and money elsewhere.
I have been a loyal customer and supporter of this local business for years. However my experience there for the past several years has been less than satisfactory. I have been made to feel as if I were a nuecense there by one of the shop owners I believe.
Unless this man is just a disgruntled employee which is the vibe that he puts out each and every time I have been there during the past several years.
I have never gone there only to browse and play instruments. I only go there to purchase musical items and support local business as I strongly believe in doing so being a small business owner myself.
This man puts out a vibe so foul and offensive that I vowed not to patronize this place ever again solely because of this.
This man acts as if he’s been awakened by a door to door solicitor at his home each and every time I have shopped there.
I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will probably make this complaint known elsewhere so that the local public can be aware.
If one is either a proprietor or an employee at any establishment where intimate customer service is the foremost priority and that individual is vicious and repulsive with an obvious disgust for customers than they need not pursue that career any longer.
I have shared my honest feelings about this. THANK you for the platform
7. Discount Music Supply
Address: 5380 E Seltice Way STE C, Post Falls, ID 83854 , Lewis County , Idaho , United States
Terry is great to work with! Quality, affordable, friendly service! I trust him with my gear.
Great costumer service. Accidentally bought viola books instead of violin books and he exchanged them quickly and politely
This place is the best kept secret in the town! Terry is thee most helpful person you’ll ever meet especially when it comes to good affordable gear. If your looking for equipment, make sure you see him before you buy. This is the kind of store you really wanna support. Thank you Terry for all your help!!! Jeff Santiago. Drummer for “Bag O Trix”
This is the soul of music place…
Needed strings. Good selection. Manager willing to help find anything you may need.
Good deals decent service.
I made the drive out here from spokane based on reviews I thought it would be worth it to check it out. I got there at 3:44 and it was closed. I understand it’s in a sort of secret place but if you’re gonna close early you should maybe close around half an hour early rather than nearly an hour and a half early.
It’s really too bad these geniuses have the most ridiculous hours of operation. Tried to explain to their feeble minds that people that can afford to spend money on musical instruments are WORKING for a living. Nobody is going to take time off of work to go shop at this place. Open at a decent hour and I’ll shop there. In the last 4 1/2 years, I’ve spent approx. $5,000.00 ELSEWHERE as a direct result of their terrible hours. This I must say is regrettable as I would much prefer to keep the money here in Post Falls. Note: I’ve heard these jokers complaining that sales are very poor at that store. No wonder.
I am on tour with my band, and I am in dire need of some new sticks. We call the store around 5:30 pm to ask them when they close. They close at 6pm and we tell them we are on our way right then. Get there at 5:45 pm and they are closed. I mean, no one there, they counted out, gone. I know many musicians who tour around the area often and I have told them to NOT go to this store. Go to Burts.

Great place. Knowledgeable staff. Last 2 visits I needed assistance with a restringing of a viola and the 2nd was reeds for an alto sax and they really knew their products. Fast turnaround with the viola restringing. Great selection of instruments and accessories. Easy in easy out. Definitely would recommend them.
Absolutely love this place!! Always helpful and will fill yer head full of knowledge!
Thank you Matt for doing a great job on my amp works great
4 stars because they do have a great selection, prices are fair, and the store is very clean and organized. The staff at first seemed helpful but then seemed impatient, as I was asked if I was ready to check out while I was still looking at guitars with an item in my hand. Caught me off guard as I felt rushed after only being in the store a couple minutes and wasn’t near the register. Other than that, they have a great selection of beautiful guitars and quality gear.
Very helpful in finding items for your instruments. The instruction is top drawer.
guys who follow you around like desperate used car salesman…over priced equipment etc..
One star is too many. I realized after opening the package that I accidentally bought 12-string guitar strings. When I tried to exchange them for the more suitable 6 strings, I was told that once they were open, the sale is final. Speaking of final, that was my last purchase at this store.
Tony Cox
PS– Having no use for the strings, I donated them to the store.
When I went there I wanted a nice sax. So they pulled out a Vito no name sax. Then the yamaha sax was $300 cheaper than the no name. Their staff was really weird too. Don’t spend your money on this company, just go to Discount music supply
9. Mountain Man Music
Address: 321 E D St, Moscow, ID 83843 , Lewis County , Idaho , United States
Fantastic experience with Fuller. We took our small cover band to Fuller’s Mountain Man Music. It’s a great studio, he is an excellent musical engineer and a UI Grad to boot! I really enjoyed meeting him and working with him and so did the whole band. I would definitely work with him again.
10. Moscow Music Academy
Address: 207 S Washington St, Moscow, ID 83843 , Lewis County , Idaho , United States
If it was up to me, I would give this school 6 stars! The owner, Michelle, is one of the most dedicated and passionate people I have ever met. If you are looking for quality music instruction and exceptional teachers, you will find it here, at Moscow Music Academy. Thank you for making a difference in our community!
This is such a great place to learn guitar, piano, or drums! The teachers are super friendly and the kiddos love learning the music they love!
