Dietary restrictions: They aim to please! I got a triple decaf sugar free and lactose free frapp! Can’t have that anywhere else in town!
Beautiful building. Coffee is amazing! I have tried several drinks. They are all delicious. The cold brew is the best I have tasted. Very smooth! Prices are great!
Parking: Parking always available.
I enjoyed my visit with the owner and my decaf Americano with coconut milk and sweetener was delicious. I used to teach music so I was impressed with the music studio connected to the coffee shop. What a great set up for parents to have a safe place for their child to take music lessons and a comfy place for the parent to hang out (and drink coffee) during the lesson. I was also excited to see hard-scooped ice cream. I love the combination of ice cream and coffee. I’ll be back any time I drive near or through Dwight! Great job Alison & team!
Was really excited to have a cute coffee shop so close to home, there was a note on the door stating all out of espresso, which is ok with me, I’m a Chai kinda girl, so both myself and my daughter ordered chai lattes. Mine was hot, her was cold. I was pretty disappointed with both of them. Mine tasted like hot water with a hint of chai. Hers unfortunately tasted the same, but cold
4. Melt the Heart
Address: 10849 N 2400 E Rd, Fairbury, IL 61739 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
My family has done nothing but good business with Pontiac Exchange since Wes was just selling fishing tackle in the small metal building on Ladd St. They’re a grown ups business with a small town family atmosphere, as long as you do good by them, they will do good by you. Wes, and now his son George, have turned a tiny bait & pawn shop, into what a lot of people consider a local institution. I would recommend this shop, and these guys over any other pawn broker, gun broker, or precious metals broker within 200 miles of Pontiac Illinois.
I replied to an item they had posted for sale. Never once did I try to get it for less money. When I asked to come get the item they first said that the gauge did not work. A couple of weeks later they sale that they had to rewire the item. Keep in touch. Long story is after near TWO months of hearing excuses. Still don’t have the item. Would never do business with a place like this!
These people are thieves..Do NOT do any online buying with the Pontiac exchange they will like about the price!!!! Buyer BEWARE!!!!
BUYER BEWARE
Prices are exorbinately high. Many items priced the same as NEW items. My advice is to do your research first! I overpaid on some items. I also bought a few products and they were defective. Very poor customer service. Rude employees. You are better off buying from Facebook Marketplace, high quality and low prices. I will never do business with them again.
7. The Cup and the Scone
Address: 213 W Madison St, Pontiac, IL 61764 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
Great coffee, amazing people, good prices.
The local coffee shop Pontiac deserves.
Excellent lattes, love the cozy, friendly atmosphere! We will be back!
Great Customers
We felt very welcomed in this coffee shop. They know how to make a great cup of coffee, and try their home-made scones.
If you’re looking for a honest review look no further because this place was great!! From great tasting coffee to nice decor and great staff working there
Great little coffee shop in uptown Pontiac.
False advertisement. Clearly on the display case showed the price for a quiche. When I was wrung up by the indifferent employee, he stated a higher price. I inquired about it. It showed a higher amount than what was shown plus I asked them the price before they rang it up and they said the same amount. My issue was not so much the higher price which should have been shown bc that is truly false advertisement, but the Attitude and how was handled. He told me “he doesn’t have everything on the menu memorized”. Wow! (Well, I’ll be sure to not recommend that establiment.) I told him they should have honored the advertised price. But no. He kept going on and on and I just asked him to drop it. We just wanted our coffee with cream and leave that place, stat. Never again. Plus there were two other ladies there that said and did nothing. I agree with that other reviewer that they do not care bc they do not care and do it with a sarcastic attitude. I also think if they increase prices, it should be adjusted. Everyone else in that town is wonderful but we won’t be back there and I make travel and food recommendations to a larger audience so they’ll be off my list. They need attitude adjustment & better management.
Nah
I never had been in there I had no idea what was going on and since then someone has got back to me about their place hoping I’ll return but not sure.
8. Veranda Vinyl Records & Artware
Address: 221 E Main St, Streator, IL 61364 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
Thank you for helping me today!! You were amazing and I hope the crazy people trying to destroy your business give up soon.
There’s such a large collection of albums and a lot of fabulous artwork. Loved the atmosphere and the owner went out of his way to find me exactly what I was looking for. If you’re interested in vinyl records, it’s worth the visit.
I had a reel to reel of a choir my mom and dad sang in from the 1960’s. Could not find anyplace to transfer til I saw a post from an old friend from grammar school. I sent him the reel and it exceeded expectations. I thought it would be distorted because of the age. After Jon cleaned it up it sounded crystal clear. I was able to share with my siblings. Veranda saved a cherished memory we thought would be lost forever. I would highly recommend Veranda. Great price and quick turnaround time. Thank you Jon and Veranda!
Poor customer service. And marks up the price on an already tagged item.
Not friendly at all. Will definitely NEVER go back…..
Staff not friendly (the old man), we got the vide he wanted us to leave. Seemed like we were the “Wrong Color” smh
I love our local Walmart Supercenter. It’s Clean, nice associates and great customer service.
Awesome!!love this store.
Ottimo Wal-Mart, personale molto gentile, parcheggio comodo e spazioso
Nice selection of items. More self serve lanes available now.
PERSONALLY of pharmacy is like going to the DMV

11. King Music Inc
Address: 670 W Broadway St, Bradley, IL 60915 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
Owner and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best music shops you could go to.
Always a great experience and extremely helpful staff
Good selection and friendly service.
Great service!
Ryan Legget was extremely helpful and made sure that our order was correctly processed in every way. Even while executing his daily duties he took extra time to find my daughters proper book for her lessons. Sorry it took so long to patronize your store. You guys are the best are around for a reason!
Very friendly folks, they’re doing something right .
Absolutely terrible first of all their guitar tech is either rude or racist either way he basically wouldn’t take accountability for his mistake accused me of lying just to look stupid when I was prooven right never apologized I was told I would get a refund if something sold to me was not the right size well it wasn’t I ended having to come back three times after they finally took a measurement and guess what no refund for the first defective product because they don’t do that after an employee told me they did every single one of them was rude all of them should be fired if you’re black just go to guitar center straight up
Trash
Start answering your phones!!!
12. The Music Shoppe Inc.
Address: 27 E Marketview Dr, Champaign, IL 61820 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
Love the staff and their knowledge. As expressed earlier, customer service is not rushed, and makes you feel they have your best interest.
COVID-19 screws up everything, and the erring on the side of caution somewhat draconian. I understand not wanting to get sued, and being concerned for the safety of themselves and their customers, but common sense must be patient and wait outside
Every time I have taken my bassoon into the Music Shoppe, whether it was for new pads or for complicated, fragile repairs, Annie has done an amazing job. She has been very honest, personable, and clear with what needs to happen, is wonderful at communicating in person, via phone, or email, and has always been extremely timely. I greatly appreciate the work she has done and highly recommend The Music Shoppe.
Yesterday was my first time visiting the music shoppe in Champaign Il. Nice to experience great customer service, especially these days. Sam helped me to purchase a trumpet, great guy, didn’t feel rushed, very informative, and gave me a nice deal on the horn for my daughter, can’t wait to give it to her on her birthday Thanks Sam, we’ll be back for more 🙂 also, Mark and Dale (friends) for encouraging me to visit your shop.
Nice staff, wonderful selection, higher end of the usual price range though.
It’s a good place for renting and buying instruments. They repair and provide loaner instruments.
The Music Shoppe has always provided quality service. We have purchased one instrument from them, but had other instruments serviced. They have knowledgeable staff and I have never been disappointed with any repair or maintenance work they have completed. They bent over backward once to help us in a pinch.
My only complaint is that they are so busy with schools, it is hard to get personal instruments in. (They told me 3 weeks before they could even look at my daughter’s instrument.)
These people are consistently quality professionals. Over the last 5 years I have trusted their service and have not been disappointed.
I went in to have my saxophone serviced. The saxophone I play is pretty nice. I mentioned that I played it in marching band and the woman belittled me for playing a nice instrument in marching band. Sorry I don’t have an unlimited supply of saxophones.
Looked at stuff for over 20 minutes without getting attention of any staff members on a very slow day. I literally was carrying a list of items I needed. Prices were way out of line. Selection was slightly better than Guitar Center.
Absolutely the most unprofessional shop around ! Straight garbage
13. PK UnKorked Wine Shop & Tasting Room
Address: 826 N Ladd St, Pontiac, IL 61764 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
This place is awesome. Good selections and knowledgeable staff. Entertainment on certain nights. Highly recommend!
Great place to taste new wines! Awesome servers.
Always enjoyable!! Great owners and staff with top shelf wines at reasonable prices!!!
Call establishment to firm hours before visiting. Door said- Closed on holidays.
(Is Father’s Day considered a holiday??)
Looked quaint & easy to locate this business.
Sorry we did not get a chance to try your wines today.
A little disappointed, for being a WINE store, they did not stock MARISA WINE.
Great place to hang out and try some good wine. Love the owners and the atmosphere and staff are great, me and my wife love this place.
Kind people and Nice place, help me as a beginner to change the string with strong patience and kindness! fair price
Readonly price and tasty
The place was fantastic. It’s old school music store. Ben is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Good selection of guitars.
Very knowledgeable
Got a bass bag and some strings. Still using the 4 channel mixer/amp I got from them a few years back.
The s place was a big help been to a few other guitar store and they couldn’t help but this place could I’ll be back!!!
Nice products but bad service. The gentleman at the counter obviously didn’t want us in the store even though it was empty.
Tried to make small talk and the guy wasn’t having it.
This place isme terrible. The owner wanted to buy some portable racks from me. So I rearranged my whole schedule because I am very busy and am selling this stuff for church. The racks were visible on photo, when I got there, he told me he wasn’t interested.
I called today to ask about get the action lowered on my guitar. Keep in mind that I am a beginner and don’t know a whole lot about this type of stuff. The person who answered the phone was far from helpful. He was condescending and rude and didn’t answer my questions. Instead he just cackled when I asked clarifying questions and responded with sarcastic answers. I will absolutely NOT be taking my business here and did not appreciate the customer service or lack thereof.

Good place to buy stuff.
NOTE: The actual hours are 8:30 am to 12:30 PM, not 9pm.

She does this alot there. And we were a very frequent shopper And donator of really nice items and clothing like new tjat that was even new no more. tThat older woman is terrible

18. Guitar Junkyard
Address: 1049 8th St, La Salle, IL 61301 , Livingston County , Illinois , United States
The Guitar Junkyard is a great place. Terry is a very good guitar luther. He is in the process of converting the location to a stringed instrument museum. Pop in and check it out and say hi. He is a great guy to meet and get help from, if you have an issues with your stringed instruments.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. Excellent, thorough and fast service.
Terry is a wonderful man does high-quality work and I had the pleasure of meeting him today, had some work done and also purchased a guitar, all in all it was a wonderful uplifting great experience for the soul!
This place is lined with guitar stuff from floor to ceiling. It has about everything you need for a guitar instrument. The guy was very helpful.
Visiting the guitar junkyard is always fun new instruments talking with Terry getting my guitar sound awesome it’s a pleasure too.
Due to health issues store is closed so I can’t read it
