Great frozen yogurt shop in a nice quaint town. Lots of options, both dairy and non dairy. Price is per once and is fair. And they have cool, color changing spoons which the kids love!
Food and drinks are good, but the regular coffee is not
When the pandemic hands you lemons, you turn around and hand it coffee. This was a huge turn around from the frozen yogurt place it use to be. Coffee is great and the selection varies from straight up black coffee to more unique designer things to drink. The staff is amazing! Only drawback is the hours. Closed on Sunday and and the times they are open.
$1.35 extra for non-dairy milk alternative? What a scam!! non-dairy milk might cost $0.01 more per ounce versus real dairy milk. Very unfair to lactose-intolerant individuals or those that prefer non-dairy milk.
The yogurt here was very bland, there was no flavor in both the vegan and “regular” options. It was overpriced for the quality of the yogurt, overrated in my opinion.

I took piano lessons from Mrs. Bell for nine years. She was an amazing teacher, both in piano and in life. She put a strong emphasis on technique but never let it get in the way of letting us play songs that we’re passionate about.

I’ve had better… you have to be on a list on the wall to play on the pool table. Someone always has a game in play, but they are never actually playing….just wasting time doing everything but playing. Bathrooms are terrible. Owner and bartenders were great…I don’t know if it’s the norm, but it happened to be a fairly “rowdy” night when we were there. Multiple altercations got broken up.

We have been with The Music Shoppe for about four years now! Now we are using them again for our third child! He wants to play the drums. Oh man, if you look into drums, I mean good drums that can grow with a child, you pay out of pocket so much up front. You are also praying you get a decent set. On a whim I reached out to The Music Shoppe. We have a French Horn we LOVE for our first child. I asked if they had drums, good drums. Ryan was fantastic at answering all of my millions of questions! We were able to finance an AMAZING SET AND get it the next week!!! Kurtis was AWESOME at working with me to deliver it to the school! Again Kurtis and Ryan were FANTASTIC at answering my questions about setting it up! I just love how they have treated our family through the years. I highly recommend The Music Shoppe to anyone with a child in music or any music question in general. They are eager to help!
When I came for violin repair, I was greeted with excellent customer service and honest and skilled craftsmanship. The music shoppe is one of the only places that you’ll find such work. I’ve been to several violin repair shops, and this is the only place where I found both excellent work and honest service. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to buy or repair an instrument.
I was getting my son ready for the ISYM band camp at U of I. I walked in the store, having no idea what I needed. The people were friendly and showed me exactly what was needed. Great place!
Last time I came in here I had an employee make fun of me/my instrument because it wasn’t high end (which I knew). Now that I work on my own instruments I know better than to put up with snobby musicians like the one I dealt with here. Three stars because I can’t condemn the entire establishment because of one or two rude employees.
It’s a good place for renting and buying instruments. They repair and provide loaner instruments.
The Music Shoppe has always provided quality service. We have purchased one instrument from them, but had other instruments serviced. They have knowledgeable staff and I have never been disappointed with any repair or maintenance work they have completed. They bent over backward once to help us in a pinch.
My only complaint is that they are so busy with schools, it is hard to get personal instruments in. (They told me 3 weeks before they could even look at my daughter’s instrument.)
These people are consistently quality professionals. Over the last 5 years I have trusted their service and have not been disappointed.
Looked at stuff for over 20 minutes without getting attention of any staff members on a very slow day. I literally was carrying a list of items I needed. Prices were way out of line. Selection was slightly better than Guitar Center.

JT’s hosted a large event for us a few months ago and it was exceptional all-around. They were very easy to work with for event planning. The day of the event we were allowed into the location early to finish decorating and setting up the DJ. The best part was that when the event was over and everyone had left, they did the cleaning! Awesome. Thanks JT’s and staff!

We were just passing through and stopped here to eat. Everything was fantastic! The food was great, the service we received was excellent, and we ate on the rooftop which was nice. I definitely recommend the herb crusted salmon.

Walked into JT’s on a very busy day, the female bartender had a cubs jersey on and was projecting her stress on multiple people, we get it you cleary are understaffed at this time but no need to make your frustrations known to every single person you serve, especially the second they sit down. I was in no rush to be served; yet, she was rushing me to order. She assumed i had known the drink menu already and what i wanted without recieving a menu. Upon noticing the house beers had been rotated since a month ago, which is very understandable she responded with a rude remark almost expecting that i know everything as the customer. Super bummed that my favorite, friendy, local spot is now just a local spot.
It’s been three years since I’ve been here, but I think this review is worth sharing. I’ve been here many times. Every single time I asked for something to be modified, they got the order completely wrong. I felt as though the kitchen had to be doing this on purpose, to send a message “Don’t special order anything!” I will not be coming back here ever again.

Great place to buy and sell gear
I’m a drummer, so I can’t speak to the selection of guitars, but they had friendly, genuinely helpful and knowledgeable staff, super good prices on used drums and cymbals, and a decent selection of gear. All I wish is that there’d been slightly more in terms of replacement parts and bass pedals, but I definitely will shop here again.

Service was lacking in a big way. Stood in line way too long while other employees seemingly did nothing and left 1 girl at the counter alone while she helped a customer check out. It was taking a long time and we had 1 or 2 people behind us, and it was still not a priority to get anyone else up to a register. Always dread going here, but when the husband needs new strings, this is where we end up..
This store has just about anything you could need musically, I believe. I walked around quite awhile, there were a lot of employees in the store, some in different areas like percussion, sound etc… I went and looked at some acoustic guitars, some books, some electrics, listened to an employee play around on one. Got a compliment on my hoodie I was wearing, but never once was I asked if I needed any help until I had picked a book out I thought might help me and went to check out. Now I want to say this person was as helpful as he could be, and he was once I got to the checkout but it was also the same person that had walked past me and gave the compliment on my hoodie never once asking THEN if I needed any help. You were the 3rd Guitar store in a week that made me feel either invisible or like I didn’t matter. You know who you are, so the more I thought about it, I appreciate the info, however, no you do not get to play something so precious and sentimental to me just because I shared my story with you and you want to get your greedy little hands on it, after the way I was treated. Bad form.
They always ask to get a letter from my company when I purchase items with tax exempt certificate. I gave up to buy stuff for my school at GC.

Service was a great and fun experience, I would definitely recommend anyone trying to get service with Verizon is no doubt a good idea. Service was fast and efficient I never had a boring moment sitting and talking while getting my phone and activating it, I came about 30 minutes before they closed, yes I admit it was late judgement but the service rep made sure we got everything taken care of even after hours and I really appreciate that. 5 star rating definitely coming back

Staff (it wasn’t John) should wear amask when sick-hacking, sneezing, putting head down on counter…so customers won’t catch flu….possibly have masks available at door for those who don’t think it would be necessary and have hand sanitizer at all counters.

Jack was very helpful. He took his time to make sure I understood the workings of my new phone. I didn’t feel rushed at all.
Our phones were hacked and all forwarded to some other number. It took two trips to the store to get things squared away. The hacker changed the address of the account and charged a $1300 phone to the account. All finally corrected by the fraud department. Excellent assistance at the Mahomet store. Horrible assistance by Damen at the call center. Guess he had never heard of hacking.
Understaffed horrible customer service
Terrible experience. In the beginning. I was quoted a price written on paper in the store by the associate and after trading my phone and paying the fees, my charges was way off each month. I’ve spent the first full year back and forth with this issue overpaying and lost promises on their end. I am finally at the end of my 2 years. My phone is almost paid off and low and behold, I’m being charged more money than my normal bill because the trade-in promotion money ended 2 cycles before it should. Went up there and manager assured me that it would fix itself, but that obviously isn’t true. I am just tired of fighting between store and corporate. I will NEVER get anything from here again. I am going back to T-Mobile. I just thought that I would try Verizon, but it didn’t work out for us. Customer service here NEEDS to be better. Never make your customers feel like they are the problem when in fact an associate screwed up in the first place.
Got two new phones from here and the employee complained to us several times about how busy he was. Came across as very unprofessional. After about 3 hours, we finally got the phones and when we did, the employee showed us an image of a melted phone and said this would happen to the iPhone 14 if we used anything but their $40 charging adapters in the store, which was double the price online. He also told us he could take $15 off and only took 15% off. Never heard of this issue since any modern phone will regulate its own charge and corporate office verified that it was fake. Then the iPhone wasn’t sending or receiving MMS even though the related setting was on so we came back, and the same guy couldn’t be bothered to look into it for us after complaining to us about how busy he was again, so he reset the network settings right after I had all my connections set up. Then he said that it wasn’t Verizon’s fault and that it was a known issue between new iPhones and Samsungs. Again, something that would be big news that I hadn’t heard of, and again something the corporate office confirmed was fake. Seemed like a lot of scammy stuff going on, a lot of avoiding transparency, and we will definitely not come back to this franchise for future needs.

We have always enjoyed going to this museum. It is very interactive. A lot to do for any age. Coming this year they are updating the children’s play area. It’s a beautiful section on the lower level were children can play and live life like in prairie times. They also have many wonderful free programs for all ages. May family love this place.

The online African American exhibit seems to end in 2002? And it takes one to a page that is not secure. I feel they should expand and repair this online exhibit and add to it with an outdoor exhibit as Missouri Botanical Gardens did. With the 650 thousand received as a part of the recent tax hike for next year, this is an attainable goal.

BBB Cuban was fantastic! Tried several sides, I suggest either the applesauce or potato salad. (Cole slaw was bland, hush puppies a bit over done). We got that bit later than normal dinner, and I hope that is why our turkey was dry. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Will visit again soon.

First time customer today. As far as BBQ the brisket I had was reheated / dry / tasteless. The wings again who knows how old “smoked” wings reheated in a fryer. I am very disappointed with this place. Best thing about my meal was the side (corn pudding). Guess I will go back to passing it up on the interstate daily.
