Most helpful and had more stuff than we had money for! If they don’t have it, they’ll order it for you…
Awesome shop! Came to the shop in need of a specific type of foot switch. Was a little nervous because I wasn’t exactly sure what kind I needed. But the owner (I think) greeted me, asked me specific questions about what was needed, showed me a couple options that might work and gave his recommendation. He was super understanding of my minimal knowledge and did nothing to make me feel dumb. We weren’t 100% sure that what I bought was going to do the trick so he said I could either bring in my gear and try it out in the shop or buy and it bring it back if it didn’t work. The foot switch did exactly what was needed! Will be back for sure
Awesome staff, awesome pricing, awesome new location. Just all around a banging experience with them.
Their layaway program is so customer friendly my wallet is cowering in fear…
Good people knowledgeable, highly recommend
We love this place. Kids do lessons here and the teachers are great. Friendly staff.
They have more than just guitars they also sell wind instruments and string instruments
Great place if you are looking for a cheap jangly Chinese made guitar. Spend a few minutes with the owner so he can brag about his skills and insult your intelligence!
Nice selection but not very good customer service. The cashier seemed more interested in planning his next ski trip than helping us out.
Edit: I did not review the wrong place. We watched the cashier playing around with Google Maps on the store computer (maybe not skiing, but definitely not work). We spent about 15 minutes there and he never greeted or acknowledged us. We had much better experiences at Larry’s and Guitars Etc.
Sad to see such poor customer service.
2. Guitars Etc
Address: 750 9th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501 , Longmont , Colorado , United States
Purchasing a guitar online is always a bit worrisome, but Todd at Guitars Etc did a great job making me feel comfortable throughout my purchase. I was sent detailed photos and videos and Todd made sure to thoroughly answer my long list of questions. Two days later, I received my new Gibson SG just as described and packed well. Would absolutely do business with Guitars Etc again. Highly recommend!
I came to Guitars etc in search of a very specific sounding guitar. Todd was a very patient subject matter expert. He took a lot of time to answer difficult technical questions, and clarify potentially expensive misconceptions. Todd enabled me to buy my dream guitar with confidence and at an incredible price!
Thanks again Todd!

Being new to an area is always hard especially when you have kids! We needed to find a new piano instructor for one of our kids. From the moment we walked into the store, the staff were helpful and friendly. We set up a trial lesson with Kelli and it went great. I wanted our son to have a choice of instructors. So, we tried a few other places… We ended up with right back here… Kelli is amazing.. she is patient, kind and thorough! Our son loves Kelli!! Thank you Guitars Etc!!
Great location, great staff.
Decent selection fair prices and really helpful staff.
Great selection, but pushy salespeople.
Really disappointed. They have so many nice guitars and not one nice employee. I probably won’t but anything from this store.
I paid 9 dollars more for the same set of acoustic strings than the music place right down the street. The actual store is huge but the selection is pretty small. The pictures are deceiving. Probably wouldn’t recommend because of the clear price gouge. I won’t be shopping here again.
THE ARROGANCE AND ATTITUDE IS HIGH! YES THEY HAVE 3 BRANDS I LOVE AND COVET HOWEVER I ASKED TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT AND WAS DEEMED UNWORTHY AND THEN THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL BAND ASKED FOR A DONATION AND WAS TURNED DOWN! I WENT HALF A BLOCK SOUTH TO JENSEN’S AND THE PLACE HAD A GREAT OWNER, GREAT VIBE AND I HAVE BOUGHT 3 GUITAR’S FROM JENSENS AND 3 OF MY STUDENT’S BOUGHT GUITAR’S AS WELL. OH AND HE(OWNER) AS SOON AS THE HIGH SCHOOL BAND CAME ABD ASKED HE WROTE THEM A CHECK ON THE SPOT FOR 150 BUCKS. SO YEAH IF YOU GAVE 2GRAND AND DON’T FEEL LIKE TRYING YOUR GUITAR OUT THEN SHOP GUITARS ETC. BUT IF YOU WANT TO BUY A GUITAR AND SHOP A PLACE YOU LOVE THEN JENSEN’S IS THE PLACE. AND BY THE WAY ILL MOP THE FLOOR WITH ANYBODY WHO EVER PLAYS THIS PLACE, TO DEEM ME NOT WORTHY WAS A SLAP TO YOUR POCKET BOOK. MY SHOPPING AND MY ABILITYS ARE WITH ANOTHER STORE NOW BUT GUITAR’S ETC DOESN’T CARE. WHO LEAVES PIANOS OUTSIDE? JUST A STRANGE VIBE ABD TUDE!

Went in to fix a loss piece on a clarinet. Friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back
I’ve been bringing my brass and woodwind repairs to Maya for over 10 years and always receive top notch service and a fair and reasonable price. Highly recommended!
Very small, very polite, very knowledgeable and friendly. Reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone.
I’m horrible at name’s but am assuming the guy who helped me was the owner , he was very nice and had a lot knowledge on all the instruments. He was a lot of help.
5. Barton Cane
Address: 407 Martin St, Longmont, CO 80501 , Longmont , Colorado , United States
Barton Cane is what all double reed businesses should aspire to. They have an incredible product, they stand behind it, and they put so much energy in making the world better through environmentally friendly packaging/processes and supporting non-profits.
Not a woodwind artist but if we were Barton Cane would be our reed vendor. These are local people of outstanding character and ethics. They love their community and are caring for their world!
Best record shop in Longmont! Friendly staff, amazing collection with great prices. Convenient location.
I really dig this place. An always fresh and eclectic selection of carefully chosen and fairly priced vinyl is complimented by discerning collection of new and vintage audio equipment. What more could you ask for? How about a nice atmosphere, good tunes on the turntable and reliably excellent customer service from the knowledgeable and passionate staff. Like I said, I really dig this place.
What a great record store! I’d been meaning to check it out for several months, but never in the area during business hours. I got in about 30 minutes before closing, so didn’t have time to check all the sections. I did however, find a well stocked and curated Jazz rack, with a wide assortment of both familiar and eclectic albums. Talked with the proprietor Doug for a bit while he was washing discs. Seemed like a genuine guy, and every used record I looked at was in primo condition. Clean & organized store, nice sound system. Kicking myself for not getting there sooner. A++
Descent selection of vinyl and prices. Good jazz selection. Could use more variety.
Great, small record shop–nice variety of vinyl and CDs. Something for everyone!
Fun little record store and vintage audio gear. Picked up some great finds for a really reasonable price. Didn’t see some of the more mainstream stuff I was looking for, but a good store.
The shop is small and lacks selection. The gray haired lad working up front is over opinionated and set in his way. Diversity is lacking. Pretentious gatekeeping will keep me from coming back.
Guy was grumpy af and didn’t want to sell equipment he had marked and priced
Seem to be out of business. Queried their Facebook page, no reply. Bicycle shop moved to that shop.
8. Mojo’s Music Academy
Address: 350 Terry St, Longmont, CO 80501 , Longmont , Colorado , United States
A great experience for my grandson, who is learning guitar from experienced and professional musicians. They care about kids as much as they care about music!
Our son Ari has been learning violin for 8 month. Michelle, his teacher is really great with kids and he loves her. He is passionate and playing well.
Mojo’s is a great place to learn to play! I I’m learning the drums, but they teach pretty much everything here. Why not learn to play the ukulele? Nice facility, great teachers.
Great music academy, started me off on playing guitar, my teacher was incredible, very kind, helpful, and skilled. Great place!
9. Michelle Huster Violinist

I stumbled in because the Longmont all sales vinyl has closed and was pleasantly surprised. Bought a few vinyl (2 lamb of god and a Jimmy Eat World) and the store owner (?) was nice enough to check on the availability of a few more records to order so he put those on a list and I’m excited to go back when they’re there and order some more.
Incredible no-frills record shop! Great selection that is going to grow, can’t wait to see it fully open!
Great Selection and Great Pricing!

Great staff, good selection of music and equipment.
My teen age son and I have been going to Recycled Records for some time now, great selection of vinyl, very good selection of CDs. We buy mostly CDs. We can always find something we don’t have yet. New location is much better than the old downtown store. Very good selection of new and used turn tables and pre-owned audio.
Oh I love this place!
This store has a lot of new and used vinyl records to choose from. The also sell CD’S and some sound equipment like turntables and reel to reel tape recorders. This store should always be worth a good look for the vinyl records enthusiasts.
A great store, a good vibe, and a nice owner. It is pretty expensive though.
Great place and had the widest and most organized selection of vinyls I’ve ever seen, however this curation comes at a very hefty price tag.
I would most recommend this place for hardcore collectors or those looking for specific pressings, as basically any album by a band in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will rack you up $30+. Not sure if I saw any Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd albums less than $50 (most expensive I saw was $200+), but those might be original pressings. Either way, not for amateurs.
Otherwise, this place was pretty cool! Will definitely come back if I can’t find an album online.
Great selection. I also agree with the other posts about price. The go to price is based on Discogs pricing. If we wanted Discogs pricing we would use that. Both Lana Del Rey and Chance the Rapper albums were marked up by $20 from even Amazon prices. The price for metal albums were the same.
As an experienced collector with 1000s of albums I was not very happy seeing this pricing. While I’m sure it’s not the intent, they are taking advantage of newbies to vinyl with these ridiculous prices on none rare items.
I want to give this store a higher review but I cannot. On the positive side, they have an impressive collection of used CD’s that are decently priced. As for their records; they have MANY records I’ve not seen in ages and the selection is quite diverse. The downside is, like many other stores selling vinyl, their prices are astronomical. I’ve been in the store on numerous occasions, been impressed with the selection, but left because a $40 price tag for an LP is outrageous.
Walked in to buy a gift card and the lady was incredibly rude. She shut the door and said we are closed. I’ll take my money elsewhere.
