I’ve only been here once while visiting family. They didn’t have what I was looking for, but the gentleman offered me an alternative. He was very knowledgeable, even have me a sample product. I’ve found my new go to shop while in town. Prices are very fair & customer service was awesome. I definitely recommend this place!
Great clothing and wide variety of smoking products, good variety of gummies, best place in Lake County, California.
2. Strings & Things
Address: 901 N Main St, Lakeport, CA 95453 , Lucerne , California , United States
Love this place! Large selection Ukulele’s and Guitars. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
I go back again and again.
Jim is a great guy and very helpful .
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, good atmosphere
Lesson was good
Nice little place with several items to choose from. Jim, the owner, is very knowledgeable and can provide lessons and repair.
Ok for various things.
I found Jim to be cold and disinterested, borderline hostile unfortunately. I order the strings he has never heard of online. Jim appears to be a bit of a fence. I would question the provenance of an instrument from this shop. The music shoppe from a Stephen King film.
3. Loud and Clear Music
Address: 8000 Old Redwood Hwy, Cotati, CA 94931 , Lucerne , California , United States
I recently bought a Martin D-35 which was on consignment at Loud & Clear. I drove from SF to Cotati to check it out. It was in mint condition with case in great condition. The price was good and it had an LRH Baggs pick-up in the acoustic hole. Store employee Ben was great in letting me play that and other quality guitars they had on the wall. I bought the guitar and it plays great. The service is excellent there and they have a lot of quality guitars at good prices. Stop in some time… you may walk out with a guitar you’ve always wanted.
Everytime I go in here, the guys there always help me out. And I just love the different instruments they have in there.
Nice gear, great people!
Good place to consign music gear, they sold my Roland Guitar Synthesizer for a better price than expected.
Helpful service and some quality gear.
Good service
So, I’ve been in here twice since I’ve moved from East Bay to Rohnert Park last year. On both separate occasions the staff watches me like I’m going to steal every item in the store somehow. Very, very, very uncomfortable to look up and have every worker in the store staring at you from across the room, yet not one word of helpfulness or a ‘hi’ or anything. I wont be stepping foot in ‘this boy’s club again’.
They’d rather make $50 or so than lose a customer and get a negative feedback. Not sure that’s a winning business strategy in the long run, but best of luck.
4. Stanroy Music Center
Address: 850 4th St, Santa Rosa, CA 95404 , Lucerne , California , United States
Friendly and knowledgeable staff good selection of instruments
Needs more stuff for electric guitars but it wasn’t bad
Helpful service people, variety of instruments and lessons, parking lot a nightmare
Pour services
Muchos instrumentos musicales hechas en China .
I was pretty amazed by the amount of instruments that were in the store, it was pretty cool. I walked in, only greeted by a man behind the counter, facing towards the wall, raised his hand with a half-attempt “Hey.” I was there to pick up some tenor sticks for marching band, so I walked over to the stick rack. There was almost no marching percussion sticks, but a really good variety of other sticks. I found some tenor sticks, poorly packaged and plastic with some cuts and tears. There were only 3 pairs, so I picked one up to see the price… Sad, I must say at the least. I spent $30 on ONE pair of Promark TS8’s. I didn’t want to buy it, but I had no choice. Probably won’t be buying from there anymore, I’m better off getting 4 pairs of TS8’s on Amazon for $30 !!!
5. Rangel Music
Address: 321 Town Center E ste. B, Santa Maria, CA 93458 , Lucerne , California , United States
What a Great Music Store!! The Gentlemen were very nice and helpful, they gave me a great deal and i will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended. Thank You Juan
Recibí un trato excelente y compré dos guitarras a muy buen precio.!!!
Amazing customer service I bought a guitar from them the quality on the guitar is outstanding I also bought a saxophone from them that was also in amazing shape
Thank you Juan and Shane
Muy bien
Great Sound
Buen servicio
6. Music Connection
Address: 3086 Bechelli Ln, Redding, CA 96002 , Lucerne , California , United States
Bernie and Co. are the most helpful guitar people in the world. Hands down.
Awesome local music store! Super helpful staff, and good inventory! A wonderful place to go if you’re looking to get a new instrument, or just try something out. I’d highly recommend you support it. Especially as more and more quality music stores go out of business in Redding.
We and Music Connection have been here a VERY long time. Great place for everything musical.
Nice selection of music items. Was out of stock on what I was looking for my daughters clarinet.
Not a huge variety of guitars, maybe 20 guitars on the wall and most of them were similar models. Staff did not even acknowledge me during the 20 minutes I was in their building. Now being the only shop in town, it is time to step up their game.
Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who actually care about your experience. Definitely the go-to place for guitars, accessories, and other instruments.
Went to the store to pick up some banjo picks and a music stand. Employee ignored me to stay on the phone talking about personal business. Then when he finally got off the phone two of his friends came in and again he ignored me to continue talking about personal business. When he finally acknowledged me he was very dismissive and was making it very obvious that I was interrupting him and his friends. I try to support local businesses but I guess from now on I’ll just order from online.
Customer service is essential to me. I expect friendly staff that listen to me and try to help me. This is not that store. With unimpressive prices and staff, they convinced me not to go back.
The owner was very rude to me .Was completely unhelpful I’ll never go there again. He even insulted me
7. Sherlock Music Shop
Address: 210 High St ste. C, Mt Shasta, CA 96067 , Lucerne , California , United States
Fantastic store with great service, owner is friendly, helpful, and funny. If you are shopping for a piano, look no further!
Super
Richard helped me find the perfect piano for my family. He was so patient, kind and helpful. This was my first time piano shopping and he answered my numerous questions. I looked at used and new pianos and decided on the perfect one for my household. It sounds and looks beautiful. It was delivered promptly and professionally. Thank you Richard for your help and for playing the pianos for us. Definitely had a great experience.
I’ve been looking for pianos for awhile and was satisfied with the selection here, but I felt like the person working there was a little pushy and rude which led to me wanting to leave. I’m not sure if I’d be comfortable coming here again.
Reply: My point is that my experience here was very uncomfortable. It was difficult to look for pianos in peace, yet I’d understand why you’d feel the need to be persistent with asking questions in an attempt to help out. My dad isn’t from the US and doesn’t exactly communicate well, so I became anxious when you told him, “People usually don’t just walk in” as he was taking a look around; this made me feel as if we were unwelcome. I tried to elaborate his vague response by telling you that we have indeed been looking for a piano for awhile; this was in no way defensive although I didn’t get the chance to fully explain myself since you quickly cut me off by saying, “Yeah, I know”. I willfully admit that what you said to my dad slightly irritated me, which is why I blatantly answered the question you asked me and continued to browse around the shop (considering the reason we visited was to look around, obviously). I just recently turned 18 (which you know since I answered when you asked) and would consider myself a sociable person, so the reason of me seeming “rude and standoff to the max” is only the outcome of feeling like our visit was bothersome for you. I was antsy the entire time and it was disappointing since I’ve been meaning to visit for awhile. And I understand that maybe you weren’t having the best day, but my review is an honest recap of my PERSONAL experience, and isn’t being said to bash your business. No one is “trampling” you Ben – I’d greatly appreciate it if you considered what I’m stating rather than argue.
Very rude walked into the store ready to spend upwards of $20000 on a piano the employees were very rude and didnt feel like answering questions and they would watch every move u made made me and my cousin very uncomfortable how am I supposed to spend lots of money on a piano when i can’t test it due to them being on the phone all the time them not having a back office where they can take phone calls is very unprofessional i was in there for about 10 minutes until i couldn’t take the constant questions them watching everywhere i go i would not recommend this place for anyone who wants piece and quiet to shop for a piano
No, he doesn’t buy pianos.
9. White’s Music Center
Address: 100 E Caldwell Ave, Visalia, CA 93277 , Lucerne , California , United States
I went into the store with a small shopping list of beginning trombone student supplies. The place is so piled high with inventory that I just showed my list to the person at the counter rather than get lost in it all. I was really surprised to see so much in the shop.
He retrieved everything on the list in a matter of seconds and also showed us how to care for a trombone, using one of the instruments in the store to demonstrate. AND it all cost a little less than the same items cost on Amazon. I’ll definitely be back!
Whites Music has always been there for simple and good tune ups and setups with great and honest prices!
They are great here. Go for any of your music needs
Great and helpful!
Very knowledgeable. Direct!
I have been going to White’s off and on for maybe 20 years? Some long-time staff are cool and extremely helpful, and I have also walked out when I was ready to lay down 7 to 800 bucks on a guitar because of the rude sales clerk they had at that time. They are the last of the local “mom & pop” music stores we’ve had in town over the years. I avoid Guitar Center with a passion and prefer to go to White’s when I can but, similar to Wal-Mart & Lowe’s compared to Ace hardware & your local department store (which there are few left), it’s hard to pay 5 bucks for an item you can get for 2 at the mega box store. Overall I like White’s but I have had a few bad experiences there (however the people who were rude seem to pass through, Guitar Center is almost ALWAYS rude as if it is corporate policy) in my experience.
Never has anything in stock. Had to go to Guitar Center’s Percussion Department for what I needed.
Low inventory. Cluttered. Go to guitar center.
I ordered a piano book from this store and was told it would be there in two days. When I called to see if it was in I was told to call back. Well it’s been about 10 days and no book. when I called to ask about it the guy said still not in,.when I said do I need to go somewhere else to get it, the jerk says sure we’ll just cancel your order. Thanks a lot for wasting ten days of my life and now my granddaughter has to go to piano practice two weeks in a row without the supplies she needs!
10. Brass Reed
Address: 2650 S Market St, Redding, CA 96001 , Lucerne , California , United States
This a great place. I’ve been dealing with Tom Dodson for 25+ years as a school music teacher. I’m now retired and I like this place that I still enjoy coming here. I now teach music lessons here because Tom is knowledgeable, has very good prices, and services all of his customers.
Great music store for purchasing a wide variety of items. Lots of students come through here for music lessons and they can order parts as needed.
Great guy, very helpful & friendly!
A small music shop with a very knowledgeable owner. Pricing is fair. If it were in a better location, 5 stars.
Tasty lobster and clams
They closed 5minutes early so I wasn’t able to get inside.
I was totally ignored. People were in the building and I heard someone working behind the counter but I couldn’t see them. I rang the bell several times and even called out but I was completely ignored. I had money in my pocket ready to buy and left with nothing.
Very rude and does not support the military. My friend served in the Navy for 22 years and all he did was ask do you offer military discounts and the guy was super rude. Said everybody gets a discount. Doesn’t matter if you’re in the military. And it was the way he said it was so disrespectful. A Simple no would have been great. Most places offer one so he asked. Then treated him like dirt after that.
11. Grand Central Music & Conservatory
Address: 3195 McMillan Ave # E, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 , Lucerne , California , United States
I love this shop.
Fun selection, awesome, helpful people.
Probubly the best experience of my life!!!
The best place in town for music lovers. The best staff, absolutely lovely tutors on the premises, a really solid selection of guitars/basses, plus the chance of the occasional oddity guitar coming through. Great deals, great service, great people, great music. What’s not to love?
Like.
Good for a small music store I guess. I bought drum key thinking it was going to be square but it was hexagon. Also, service was ehh.
Hard to find, but they have what you
need or they can find it
I ordered the bass a year ago in this shop! But so far, they can not send me a bass and do not return the money! What are the problems? I do not know! And nothing intelligible do not meet!
Dan Ernst Owner of grand central music is a Scum Bag with a Capital S.
Bought a roland jx10 from him in feb 2013 said he had it professionally cleaned cause one of the keys did not respond.( shoulda took that as a sighn right there that this would go south.)
Got the roland a week later patch buttons did not work cardtridge port was busted cause he shipped the cardtridge inside of the synth and the internal battery was dead.
Talk to him about going to repair man he got upset and said his repair man pro clean it and made sure it was in running order.
Took it to repair man costed 166.00 he begrudglingly said fine send him receipt.
So rapair man did two weeks go by no response.
The owner is a bs’er and a finagler.
Do not support.
Do not trust.
Eventually we will cross paths Dan.
Thats not a threat.
Thats a promise.
12. Lightning Joe’s Guitar Heaven
Address: 100 E Branch St, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 , Lucerne , California , United States
If you can’t find your dream guitar here, then you must be having nightmares.
Always the best. I Love this place! Insane strap selection, guitars you’ve never seen or heard of. They had the heavy electric set I was looking for and a 20 steel for the G string…hehe. Sooooo many pedals, killer guitars, did mention I love this place!
Lightning Joe’s is the best guitar store in California… maybe the world. I first posted this two years ago. It’s still true today. It’s a must see for any guitar player.
Lots of musical instruments
Best guitar shop on the central coast!
Cool shop with a decent selection (as long as ukes, mandolins, and guitars are what you are looking for!) I was seriously in danger of walking out with (yet another) resonator guitar. And I’m not sure that danger has completely disappeared…
The prices are good for some things, a little marked up for others. But nice layout, selection, and service, and it feels good to support a smaller, local business.
I went in to look at guitars with my son, I saw the store online and really was looking forward to seeing some cool guitars. The woman approached me right away and was super rude, saying we couldn’t try any guitars unless we were going to buy something. Then we went to look at acoustic guitars and the guy was just following us, he didn’t even care to help us out or ask if we had any questions. I was looking to purchase a nice Martin, but not from there not ever. Super rude!!!! I have a lot of friends who were looking to check this place out as well. I will let them know about my experience too. They would have gotten some great business but they missed out. I would have given their store 0 stars but had to give them one.
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING A GUITAR OR ANYTHING FROM GUTIAR HEAVEN!!!!! a “JOHN LENNON REVOLUTION CASINO #338 OF 1965 WAS SOLD TO ME IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,459.40 PLUS TAX.
THEY TOLD ME IT WAS COMPLETELY ORGINAL AND I HAVE E-MAIL CORRESPONDENCE TO PROVE THIS!
COME TO FIND OUT AFTER SEEING OTHERS FOR SALE, THE CASE THEY INCLUDED WITH MINE WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL CASE FOR THE GUITAR! IT DID NOT HAVE JOHN LENNONS ART WORK ON THE CASE!
I FEEL SO CHEATED AND ROBBED!! CONFRONTING THEM ABOUT IT THEY SAID “SORRY WE CAN’T HELP YOU”!!
I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU USE CAUTION WHEN BUYING SOMETHING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE “IN ORIGINAL USED CONDITION”. ACTUALLY I WOULD ATTEMPT TO FIND THE PRODUCT ELSEWHERE AND FROM A ****REPUTABLE DEALER****!!!!!
I have lived here all my life, and I went into this story for the very first time just the other day, because my son plays guitar now, and we needed a new string. The women that works there was very rude to my daughter, she stayed with me the entire time, and she knows the rules (don’t look with your hands, look with your eyes) my daughter is very well behaved, she is homeschooled and suffers from a rare illness that has caused her to grow up allot faster. This women obviously had it out for my daughter as soon as we walked in. She followed behind us the entire time, and if my daughter even looked like she was about to touch something she would jump right in, and either push her hand away, or tell her to not try to touch it…. finally right before we left my daughter was looking at a little table with guitar strings attatched, she strummed one string one time! And the lady grabbed her hand shoved it away, and said don’t touch, you don’t know what your doing!! Ok? Ok? Ok? Say ok! My daughter said no thank you and turned away. The lady said no thank you? Really?….the only reason I did t leave sooner was because they had my sons guitar, but I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER go in their again, that lost my business and anyone else I know that plays instruments!
13. Mar-Vals Sentry Food Store
Address: 2265 CA-20, Upper Lake, CA 95485 , Lucerne , California , United States
Store is always clean and well stocked! Great prices…. really good customer service! Thank you
It’s of organic and fresh food. Great Asian food selection. Overall a huge improvement.
April 24th 2022 update the store just gets better and better with all the new products the organic stuff a lot of Asian food which I really like can’t wait to see what the future holds because it is just super fabulous right now
The Deli workers are always amazing.. Great Deli sandwiches and much more..
Not to good on savings
These guys have the best French rolls, big enough for hoggie ment for a king. They have a great selection of other goods, in fact they are the only market in the Clear lake area I have found to carry sugar free chocolate syrup, which I find surprising for all the diabetics I suspect populate the area. One drawback is they are on the pricey side…..Where’s a Winco when you need one.
Fresh vegetable look great.some of the fresh fruit not so good. Meat is very expensive. But the meat is good.very poor choice of flavored vitamin waters. Need to stock vitamin water with zero calories in different flavors. Big demand for these drinks..
So overpriced!!! I used to enjoy shopping here until Mar-Val took over and pretty much doubled the prices on most things. Us living here have been squeezed enough and are barely making it as is and now we have one less place to get affordable groceries under this new ownership.
I also take offense to the huge unwelcoming shoplifting signs they posted at the front of the store. Lastly the fact they took down the Nice town sign and had it out rotting in the weather was really disrespectful. That is a historical piece of the town and they just left it outside to rot like trash. I’m not sure where it went recently but I doubt it came to a good end sadly.
Very high prices
Just drive to ukiah or clearlake. Stay away from here. $$$$$$$
14. Singer Music
Address: 1217 N Hacienda Blvd, La Puente, CA 91744 , Lucerne , California , United States
Excelente Lugar , fuimos a rentar instrumento y nos ayudaron con el plan de Renta/Compra y terminó siendo de mi hija
Gracias
Love the service and the owner is very nice.
Great place with a lot for a small shop.
Overal good
They kind of didn’t know what I meant when i wanted a MIDI cable to connect to my laptop but other than that they have good service
Stupid store they ask for to much just to rent a instrument I had to go twice after work and still walked out with no violin. Don’t waist your time in this store singing papers for nothing. I went to another music store by gale and Fullerton and walked out happy with my instrument in less than 10 min the store is called Sam ash 5 stars for Sam ash
15. Jensen Guitar & Music Co.
Address: 2830 De La Vina St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 , Lucerne , California , United States
So grateful to have met Mike. My young son has been taking guitar lessons with Mike for months now and he has grown in so many ways. Mike is an amazing guitar teacher and down to earth human being. Highly recommend taking guitar lessons with Mike!
Great little music store with a good selection of acoustic & electric guitars as well as harmonicas, mandolins and random other items. Good place to buy strings, picks and other accoutrements. You can also arrange lessons through them. Staff is knowledgeable and very laid back.
Cool place, cool people. You can trust them with your repairs, have the day to day stuff you need and can order whatever else. Some nice used gear… I only wish their electric instrument and amp section was larger! Give them a visit.
Worst Shop. But sadly the only guitar store Locally.
I have had employee’s ignore me, to just play guitar.. to having employee’s talk down to me over string gauges.
You don’t talk down to someone who is giving you money.
NOT JUST THAT, but the one dude did not even listen to what I said, last time I was there.
I was shopping for strings for my 8 string, and I said: “Hi, I am looking for strings for an 8 string”.
and he said: “We don’t sell 8s”
… Guitarists know that means 8 gauge strings..
I didn’t ask for 8s I clearly said 8 STRING guitar STRINGS.
Then when I pointed out the 3 different packs of strings behind him, he got standoffish with me and then proceeded to talk down to me like I didn’t know string gauges.
I’ve played guitar for nearly 20 years now. I have moved allover California, and this is the WORST store I’ve ever been in. Sucks that Instrumental Music Closed down. Worst store, next to one in Ventura that stinks of incense and the dude was just.. a little odd. Really friendly, but a little overly friendly, But it is better than Standoffish employees.
Also looking at other reviews on here, I have NEVER heard anyone say any of those things about the store
“Knowledgeable”, the 3 times I have been in, I knew more.
“Cool People”, right the people who ignored me, scoffed in my face when I said I was only browsing, and then that one dude for strings.. yea.. real cool.
“Prices are Fair and Competitive”, I’d disagree on 60% or more of their products. I can buy strings, picks, cables, pickups, and GUITARS cheaper literally anywhere else I have been.
my 8 string, they had one used, same brand, same guitar, that was 300$ MORE, I found one NEW for 300$ less and it came with a hardcase.
And that is just my experience, I have not heard any of my friends, old SBCC Teachers (if they are guitarists), or students say anything GOOD about Jensen.
I have heard maybe ONE person say they had an employee who repaired guitars that was actually nice and did a really good job. But I didn’t have that experience the 3-4 times I went in. Never will go again. I literally go down to Ventura to do music business now.
worst experience ever. be warned
BE ADVISED!!! The phone number that is listed for Jenson’s Guitars is NOT their phone number but rather it is my home phone number and I am absolutely sick and tired of getting a couple dozen phone calls for these people who obviously don’t care about the deflected business. To be clear I have never been there and have no idea as to the in store service experience and thus the lowest rating only concerns the phone number dilemma.
16. Guitar Planet
Address: 1822 E Main St, Ventura, CA 93001 , Lucerne , California , United States
My daughter and I go here for lessons and I’ve bought a few guitars and parts from Gannon as well. Honestly, I’d never go anywhere else.
Great service. Excellent prices!
SO glad I chose this shop! Super friendly, knowledgable, and fair prices. I was so impressed I even signed my kids up for lessons.
Cool place. Owner is mellow, no pressure, and he knows the business well. He likes to talk about musical equipment. Prices on strings and accessories are competitive. Good selection of guitars, especially for a smaller locally owned place.
I was disappointed with the selection
Was being very inappropriate with my grandma in front of me. Was making my grandma, and me, very uncomfortable. Didn’t wanna give us a recipe and saying the guitar wasn’t playable. We took it some where else and it worked right away! Overall very creepy and weird.
17. Guitar48
Address: 600 E Main St, Ventura, CA 93001 , Lucerne , California , United States
Everyone in this place is awesome polite. I brought my guitar for repair.
John is the one that repaired it. He did an awesome job.
Super friendly and knowledgeable
The perfect place for beginners and professionals alike, with a wide selection of guitars used and new. The owner Rob could not have been more helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. Walk in and tell him you want to start your musical journey and he’ll get you on your way.
Upper knowledge of instruments
Really nice store. Very clean and well organized. Some really pretty guitars. Fender, Guild, G & L, and many more acoustic. Only gave it a 4 because I went in for a set of acoustic strings and after 15 minutes no one had helped me. Poor guy was by himself and was helping a customer look for some stuff on the internet.
Emailed a guy there he never even attempted to respond not very good customer skills.
It is okay
Poor customer service. Rude! Very possessive of my own instrument. Rob was being mean and passive aggressive with me because he made a mistake on my guitar and he had to fix for free. Right after I picked it up two days later from the shop my guitar came back with buzz that wasn’t even there before. I called him and told him that I’m unhappy. MY GUITAR WAS PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE HE TOUCHED IT!
He apparently put a new saddle on it. Which doesn’t seem to be much different from the other one in size. Which he kept and did not return. I tried communicating with him what I do and how I do it. However, this man was ignoring me the entire time and spoke down to me with false knowledge. He made me feel unwelcome in his shop and he made me feel that he was very close minded in music and didn’t understand anything about transposing and power chords on an acoustic guitar. It’s very disappointing for me because I live here in Downtown Ventura. I live in the WAV building for artists. Therefore, it’s very tragic the only music store open in town is ran by an ignorant, stuck up, close minded, old receding hair line, middle aged, sad, pathetic old guy.
P.S.
I know how to restring my guitar.
I just prefer to pay someone else to do it under half an hour, not two days!
GUITAR CENTER IS WORTH THE DISTANCE!
They totally get YOU (the musician)!
18. Nick Rail Music
Address: 2801 De La Vina St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 , Lucerne , California , United States
I just went there today and they are always there to help us. It is reliable to us, so every time my violin has something wrong with it, we ALWAYS go to nick rail.
Amazing service, friendly people, and excellent job
I’ve been going to Nick Rail Music in Santa Barbara since1987 for all my trumpets, mutes, and other music accessories and repairs. The staff is awesome, too It’s great to have such a wonderful full service music store in town!
I was in and out no problem. They had what I needed, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would be 5 stars for customer service. But I’m giving it 4 stars because some items are over priced.
Very good helpfuL music associate clerks…. A
Great line of Ukulelè instruments. . . Good rateinge of fourStars. . .
It’s been awhile since I visited Nick Rail Music and I was pleasantly surprised at the layout and selection. Service was super friendly too. A few more electric guitars and accessories and I’ll go five stars. It’s nice to be shopping “small business local” again. NR is literally the only music store available since Instrumental Music left and Jensen curtailed their hours. I’ll be back for certain, maybe even walk out with one of those Taylors…:-)
Came in to purchase a Yamaha YTR5330MRC trumpet and they did not have it in the store so they told me that they were going to try and get the trumpet for me, so I gave them my phone number cause they had told me that they were going to call me back to tell me if they were able to get it, I waited two weeks and no response and now a month later still nothing. I came all the way from Ventura city to the store all for nothing, they wasted my time, very unprofessional when I entered the store it was slow there were no customers they could of called me the same day but anyways I do not recommend coming to this store very unprofessional.
NOT RENT OR BUY FROM THEM. GO ONLINE AND GET WHAT YOU NEED 4 TIMES CHEAPER THEN HERE. I rented a Sax for my daughter for 3 years paying $61.00 per month for an Alto Accent Sax with an option to buy. When the 3 years were completed they said that only 2 years applied for the buy option. I said ok how much more do i need to buy it? They still wanted $900 plus and i had already paid $1800 on rental and this type of Sax sell for $350 used online. I tried to use the money to buy something else because i had to get something equal or higher value as long as it was a band instrument. I ask for a clarinet that had the price of $1900 and they said that if i wanted that one I had to pay the resale price of $2400 so i still needed out of pocket $600 and I said but the price says $1900 and with no shame at all they said thats for someone that comes in and buys it here in the store but since you are using credit then you have to pay de resale price. The customer service was terrible and the way they steal people’s money and taking advantage of students its totally wrong. I hope they are giving money back to the schools for having them as the renters for their bands.
I was calling to get a price estimate, and when I asked “can I get a price estimate on a drum set” they hung up. I thought this was a music shop. Very rude and disrespectful.
19. Stan’s Music
Address: 56636 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca Valley, CA 92284 , Lucerne , California , United States
The owner Stan is very helpful and knowledgeable about music and everything I asked him even about banjos
Very knowledgeable
I’ve connected with the family of Co workers there at the store. I’ve always wanted to take lessons there and it’s my personal favorite place to go rather than guitar center. By a mile!
Browns Music has shut down a compleetly diffrent music store has moved in called Stan’s Music.
Great litlte store and helps its cistomers very well with questions and repair or maintaining instruments..
The only music store in high desert.
I love the store and their prices but I’ve only ever been able to go in once or twice. They always seem to be closed even when they’re supposedly open. Kind of sucks when they’re the only music store in town.
Nice folks got some nice things in the shop! BUT I had a set up and string change done after traveling from the east coast and it looked like a child wrapped the strings around the tuners.. and it would not stay in tune (obviously) so would not recommend a set up!
20. Mission Grown Medicinals
Address: 2752-A Mission Rancheria Rd, Lakeport, CA 95453 , Lucerne , California , United States
That is a very nice place I seen the outside of the place. I like the outside the place a lot
Was there Sunday and super nice gal helped me…cartridges were on sale. Raw Garden brand is always good for me and they have it here 🙂
Check our their awesome discounts!! They even make a calender so you can make plans. Next to the Casino which has Summer Nights music for FREE so definitely peep that too.
The staff is very helpful.and friendly I am a senior and I eat a gummie before bed to help sleep and help ease the old age aches and pains at night. If I could give more stars I would. I love the staff here
