Not sure if I’m spelling his name right but Dudley who worked Jan 19th did an awesome job assisting my husband and I. He was very knowledgeable and we ended up buying a drum set and amp. Thank you Dudley. Appreciate your customer service.
The woman in there store was very helpful
Really nice store, with variety of instruments and musical equipment for sale and rental. The staff is very friendly and helpful, Adrian Jones helped me find a good bass amplifier and made sure that it was what I was looking for. Very professional and experienced.
NIce store and studios. The gal working there is very nice, but isn’t so familar with their products and services, otherwise I’d give it a five star rating.
Three stars. There’s not enough supplies for a beginning tenor saxophonist. I’m sure my rating will be higher once the supply chain situation improves.
DONT GO HERE!!!!
Paid to have my daughters flute tuned up, pass, springs, etc. less than two months later a pad is falling off. I returned to the store and was met with a rude supervisor who told me to just call him Ty, he wouldn’t give me his name. When I inquired about a rental he told me there was no way I would get a free rental even when it’s been less than two months and we already paid good money for both a rental AND their repairs. Once “ty” was done talking AT me he told me I was being hostile after every question I asked him and then he just rolled good eyes, crossed his arms and told me to let him know if I would be leaving my daughters flute there. Absolutely would not recommend this place. I’m going to contact corporate as well. DON’T GO HERE!
went in one day and had a guy that was just starring at people coming in, store was empty, i didn’t stay for long because of how uncomfortable it was, especially with how quite it was in the store so it made it extra awkward, i couldn’t shop around without the uncomfortable feeling of someone just standing there and starring
Needed to pick up some guitar picks. Entered the store with no greeting. The gentleman was helping a customer. No big deal. I looked around for what I needed and found it. Waited to patiently to ourchases. The guy was trying to sell a small electric quitar that apparently wasn’t functioning. Thankfully I didn’t have any questions and could easily go somewhere else. Which is what I did and recommended you do as well.
Awesome selection of high end basses. The owner is a great guy. Opened up the shop when they were closed just so I could come in and look at a bass, and gave me a great price on it. After I had already made the purchase and we were talking about bass stuff, he threw in 3 sets of strings for free.
I recently purchased a Peavey Cirrus bass from Randy over the phone. He was very professional & humanlike to deal with. I received the bass & it was exactly as advertised. I’d purchase again from The Bass Place without even thinking.
The Best Selection of Basses, amps and Accessories for any Bass Player. All Bass All the Time.
the first time i visited this store (back when they were is scottsdale) the owner was real smug. defiantly left me with a bad taste in my mouth. i decided i would give them another try when they moved and almost got a Lakland from them but money fell through. i just called them 10 minutes ago to ask about the eden WTDI box. the man on the phone sounded annoyed and was rushing me off the phone. i asked about the return policy and he hesitated and said 48 hours. i commented that that was not very long and he said “then maybe you should go buy it somewhere else”
i will NEVER go there again!
Great place to drool over high end Basses
Ordered a Fender CS 1964 Jazz Bass shipped to another state sight unseen from this store. I don’t know where they got this bass, but is was supposed to be brand new and it was not up to par. Wanted to send it back right away and that’s where things got complicated. Lots of attitude from the salesman and the owner of the store. The personality change between the sale and return was remarkable and strange. While there was a “satisfaction guarantee” it placed the agency on the buyer to sort this out.
7. Ron Ferlito Music

I enrolled my six year old for piano and voice lessons. Ron is fun, professional, and most of all extreamly patient.
I have been taking voice lessons for the past 3 years now. And since I moved back here to the Avondale, AZ area from Tucson, AZ and selected Ron Ferlito as my voice instructor. He has really giving me the confidence I needed. God is really using him in my life. I hope to be playing in public more.

Mr Ron is awesome! He has a real passion for music and makes piano lessons enjoyable for my son. His experience in music shows in his lessons.
8. Central Music
Address: 5038 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
Very helpful finding a music book my son needed for school
Very nice people. excellent both stores Phoenix and Mesa. Very understanding people
40 years later, still a gem
One of the only places you can buy sheet music for most instruments. It’s great. You can sit for hours reviewing music. I always find all types of music here.
Cool little shop. People and staff are nice there. Remember that this is a great shop if you want to shop for sheet music! They have tons of sheet music, and odds and ends for instruments. This isn’t the place to go for buying or renting instruments. Cool place, but mainly just for sheet music.
Nice staff
CentralMusic purchase policy of NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS: bought a gig bag/very nice. Also bought, and am now stuck with, Kremona KNG classical guitar pickup: rubber on the plug end is brittle/cracking. I tape-wrapped it BECAUSE NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. However, I do apologize to you, Central Music, because I should have examined that pickup, should have said “rubber boot has breaks” or something to that effect. But I bought it the day before my wife’s funeral service where I was scheduled to play for a bit. So, I was a little pressed for time, grieving My Beautiful Wife’s passing, not thinking before I posted my comments about Central Music. So, I am sorry if I sounded rude, because that’s not who I am. On the bright side, your shop was open, item was available, product does work, and I wish I could read music better because you have lots of sheet music available and other gear for sale.
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
They didn’t help me they said I had to make 4 other drives to get it
9. Boogie Music
Address: 3562 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
My son took drum and is doing well in HS band and enjoying his skill. Now my youngest is learning piano. Would recommend.
Large variety for smaller family owned store
I took guitar lessons here fokr years and fhe staff is very friendly and professional. I am welcomed in every time when entering and giving great customer service.
Good place limited selection
I just want to give smaller independent shops my business but selection is rather limited here. When I inquired about an item, they actually looked it up on the Sam Ash website and advised they can order it but 1) I’d have to wait until they do their next order, 2) it would cost more than at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, and Amazon and 3) I’d have to pay for shipping. Seriously, if that’s the way you can give me something you don’t have you’ve just GOT to know that’s a crappy deal for me. Just tell me to buy it elsewhere and that you hope you can help me with something else. They can’t seriously expect me to find that even remotely okay can they?
They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.
Rude on phone
Was treated very rudely by the owner. Went there to try to sell them a guitar and he looked at my guitar and very rudely in my opinion said he wasn’t interested at all then I continue to look around the store for a little bit with some friends. I saw a stand up bass which I wanted to play in the Jazz way there was no sign or anything mentioning that this was not theirs and that this was someone’s that was there for repair. I started to play on it after moving it from where it was and the owner came back and said something to the effect of that’s not ours man that’s here for repair or something else similar. He did not at all say excuse me but that’s not our instrument can you please put it back in like a nice calm manner he said it in a way that I took very rudely and that you’ve been my friends which was 3 agreed was very rude. On top of that I feel like although the store is kind of cool because it does have some older vintage instruments from the early 20th century I just personally think that I Won’t Go Back unless that is my only option. Not everyone probably gets rude customer service but I definitely did.
First time going to the store and was honestly excited to buy a ukelele and as I walked in me and my friends were rudely approached by a lady who practically shoved us out the door and told us we needed a mask and only one person at a time even though she herself was not wearing one. As I exited I informed her that there was no sigh on the door stating any of this and it would be a good idea to place one up. I walked to my car got my mask and walked back to the store to find it locked I stood outside for a few minutes and was disappointed to not even have an employee tell me to please wait for further assistance. Horrible customer service I totally get what’s going on and I’m happy to wear my mask but please plan your reopening better.
10. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
Friendly staff didn’t have the string we needed in stock but were able to place an order for it.
The store clerks are very knowledgeable and courteous. The folks over here are great with names and faces …very rare at the other BIG music store in town….they make you feel like family…and that’s why i keep going back …!!!!
Couldn’t find the drum guy for a while but overall great experience. Helped my daughter play and electric guitar for the first time and helped me realize the consequences of playing a Uke with a pick.
This is a great place to buy instruments but only when they’re open
Your salesperson was great and knowledgeable. I came to purchase Clarinet Reeds, however the type and strength was out of stock. She stated that they do not keep their inventory up to date.
Ordered a drum kit and after 4 days of no contact I had to contact them to find out they didn’t have it in stock. I was then told the store by me was packaging up a display kit for me to pick up. I was then sent an invoice for full price. Sorry but there’s no way I’m paying full price for a used kit. This was the first and last time I ever order from sam ash.
No. Tienen mucho surtido en portaguitarras, tampoco en cuerdas. Ni en guitarras clásicas Fender.
Sam Ash in Phoenix has gone down hill. They really have a low end selection of guitars right now in there. From brands I’ve never heard of. They had maybe 2 Les Paul classics and that was it for higher end guitars.
11. Ziggie’s Music
Address: 3309 N 3rd St Ac, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
If you like music, and have the opportunity to visit Ziggie’s, I hope you` visit. If you’re lucky, you may show up when others are having an impromptu jam session, or possibly other patrons and staff are just chatting or joking around. This is such a warm and welcoming place to be. I used to stop by when, I still lived in Arizona, after work, all the time and continued to do this as did many other people, for decades! It was so much fun just to look at all of the instruments and chat with the staff and teachers. They are all so very nice and informative! Dionne Hauke, the owner, is a wonderful person that is one of the kindest and most intelligent people I’ve ever met! Very “down to earth” people, all of them. This is a place where many people would just stop in and leave their children for lessons and come back to pick them up later, or many of the parents would hang out and chat too. There are “swap meets” on the first Saturday of each month where there are usually refreshments and fun too… The pricing is normal, and in many cases modest. Dionne will buy or trade instruments too. Chuck Hauke, does all the electronic repairs of amps and such, where Dionne repairs the accordions. There are other repair staff too, for any sort of necessary repair, but I don’t know them all. John has been a major part of Ziggie’s for at least 20 years that I know of… He and Dionne are a great team and he is also very kind. Megan Hauke is now the 4th generation to be working in the store. I know many of the teachers, and there are YouTube videos that are made from time to time too, that people post from the store of jam sessions, etc. Dionne is very easy to work with, and versatile as far as if you need something for a gig, or if you need a repair quickly, they will bend over backward to help you where I can’t say this of any other store there. I now live in Nashville, and can’t say I have ever come across another store like this one. That’s probably why it has been part of the Phoenix landscape since the 1920’s when Ziggie opened the store… These people genuinely care! Check them out.
Awesome Lady doing a fabulous job. Great musical instruments!
No other music store has such a unique variety of instruments. The owner and staff there are extremely friendly. The best part about this place is that there are no bench fees period!! Definitely a place to rock out with the weird and gilly.
Very helpful the information what’s good
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
Great experience, very knowledgeable, and friendly
These guys rock. Always 100% top quality work.
just picked up my 2 guitars from these guys. All i can say is my guitars are playing better than when I first bought them. Thanks guys
Small but impressive guitar shop. Nice selection of after market parts and strings.
You have been warned. They talked like they knew the product very well to build trust. They overpromised and underdelivered when I got my guitar back and still wanted to make excuses???, the work I asked for was clearly stated in the receipt.
A great place to get a custom made guitar
The guy who answered the phone was a jerk. I took my guitar to someone else.
I took a mid-level Martin to them with a crack. They humidified it to where the crack closed. They told me it was repaired but to be sure and keep it humidified. The fact is they humidified and the crack closed they didn’t do the repair but they charged me for it.
I bought a charvel jake e lee model that supposedly was built by someone at atomic guitars and it was the worst thing I’ve ever played, held or experienced. Everything about it was off from the neck pocket to the fingerboard and frets. I was told that it was built by the guys at atomic guitar and I hope that wasn’t the case at all.

Reviews
Powerline, My New Addictions first single is a mixture between a Green day and new school Metallica and maybe a little 30 seconds to Mars. Although singer Izzy Haze has yet to reach his desired voice, he makes out with what he has and I believe that is true talent. Bassist Nelson Benitez showcases his skill at playing the bass in the first single and other unreleased tracks. Drummer Wyatt Hanes has been drumming since age 5, and it really shows with the fantastic drumming in single, Powerline. Lead guitarist, Bryson Ray has been playing the guitar since a young age. At a young age, Bryson, didn’t have a computer. But he did have a iPod and was inspired to play guitar after hearing thrash-metal band Metallica’s hit, Fade to Black. After all, with all the limitless talent the band has, the only thing holding them back is a couple studio sessions and good producing.
Took my Jazzmaster in for a setup a few months ago, still holding up great! Super friendly and helpful staff with great work
Brindley’s is a great local music store. Skip guitar center and get your gear and repairs done by people who care! Recently had a guitar neck reset, and it plays great. Bruce and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I’m a regular customer, for sure!
The staff was very helpful in my guitar purchase and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend them because of their knowledge and expertise in guitars.
Fix it for the most part. Still feels as if the instrument is leaking from somewhere on the lower register. Still hard to push low notes without struggle.
Good music store for those looking for something specific…not much to look at for those who want to look around or window shop (especially for drum equip). Other than that, it’s a good local music shop. They used to make their own brand of drumsticks, which were GREAT, but last time I went they said they no longer make them. Bummer!
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
First off, I want to be upfront, I intended to rent a bell kit form this store for my 5th grade daughter. I didn’t get that far, so I think it’s only fair to disclose, this review is entirely based on my first impression.
Friday I spoke to a woman on the phone who was very helpful. I ended up reserving the bell kit online to pick up at the store on Saturday. I’ll admit I never checked their closing time and I, unfortunately, arrived in their parking lot on Saturday at 5:03PM. They closed at 5:00PM. I have my very excited 5th grader in the car, so I thought, I’m not going to give up, yet. There were customers still exiting the store. I grabbed the door and went in as one of them exited. I went to the checkout counter where I explained my situation briefly to the man still checking customers out. He made it seem like it was something they could possibly do, until a woman walked up and immediately shut it down. She explained they could not check me out today and I would have to come back on Monday when they opened at 10:00AM. Again, I want to be clear, it was my fault for being late. They had already closed. I completely understand why they shouldn’t have to help me out, but they were clearly still checking people out, so the registers weren’t closed. All I’m saying is, how nice would that have been if they did help. It would have been a really nice gesture that could have gone a long way. I still have two more kids coming up behind my 5th grader that will most likely want to be in their 5th grade band, too. Plus, I’m a mom and mom’s talk. I would have definitely spread the word about a place that went out of their way to help me. It’s a shame. I’m all about supporting family owned businesses. They are usually the ones that make these types of exceptions for people.
Expensive and poor service. took my beautiful holton Bb trumpet their to have the 2nd valve slide replaced. it is a standard mass produced turmpet, ans WAS worth about $650. it was beautiful with a sparkeling finish. they lost my order and it took 3 weeks when I called them to inquire about it. i was told $40 to fix the slide (found out later that part only cost $15) and it would take a week. they chem washed it, wich i said to not do and it RUINED my trumpet. it looks like crap, their is 3 dents in my bell where their weren’t any before and after i called at the 3 week point it still took another 2 for them to get around to fixing it. in the end, they ruined my finish, put the wroung part on, and dented my trumpet multiple times. O AND they expected me to pay $85 for it all. they chem washed it because they forgot to write down the repair needed and assumed it was a was, and they charged me for their mistake. Good at smooth talking but anyone can seem like they know what their saying. they were horrabile and unless you want to over pay and have your instrument ruined, dont go here. o and my sisted paid $1000 for a flute which was “new”…the saudering from when it was returned to them from the last owner broke in about a week and they repaired it wroung 3 times before they got it right where it broke again 3 days later.
Communicated with them over offerup. They instantly got rude and snarky when asking about trades. Don’t know if it’s the owner or just a social media person but totally unnecessary treatment of a potential customer
17. Guitar Center
Address: 2750 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
Found the cord k needed and everyone was so nice .
Very nice people. I walked in and they let me be for a bit so I could find a few things I wanted. Then I had a question about guitar strings and I was taught all about them! I had a great time, the people were friendly and knowledgable and there was the stereotypical customer playing the same thing on a guitar over and over again. Exactly how I pictured it!
I bring my granddaughter for guitar lessons each week and have been coming there for about 6 months. All of the people working there are friendly and helpful, including Michelle the receptionist and manager. Her teacher, Michael, is very patient and encouraging. Everyone tends to make us feel like family each time we attend. I would highly recommend lessons at this Guitar Center
Ok
Takes about 2-5 days to get your money back into your account.
It’s always a good experience at the guitar center…
Paid for fast shipping and it didn’t happen. Not spending a penny with guitar center ever again.
I went in to get a bolt for my drum throne and because I have respetory issues I didn’t have a mask. I made it inside about 5 feet and was yelled at for not wearing a mask, I explained to the girl that I can’t wear a mask because I can’t breathe. She yelled at me saying “I don’t care, leave!”.I’ve spent thousands of dollars in guitar center for my drum equipment, not anymore!! Y’all lost my business on account of her stupid and uncaring attitude.
Mas o menos
18. Music & Arts
Address: 5350 W Bell Rd #132, Glendale, AZ 85308 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
We went in looking for a and the staff was very kind and helpful a staff member played the my roommate did get it later we are very pleased with the buy in fact I plan on going back and getting him the strap and stand
My wife needed her autoharp repaired and tuned. Adrian greeted us and made us feel confident that Music and Arts would be excellent at meeting our request. Sure enough! When he returned her autoharp it was fully repaired, tuned and ready for use. I believe this business is professional and true to their word. I am happy to recommend Music and Arts for anyone needing assistance with an instrument, new or needing repair. The Music and Arts store is my choice to recommend to others.
Good, has piano keyboards, trombones, guitars, and more
Great experience. I browsed myself, then asked for some advice and assistance. The newer employee was very knowledgeable and asked questions to pinpoint what I might be looking for. He made excellent suggestions and answered my range of questions. He even stooped his music language down to my level of understanding. Great deal on my purchase and I look forward to returning.
Thank you MUSIC & ARTS.
1 request, perhaps a searchable database of your inventory would assist in locating various items, rather than “browse to locate” with the customer.
We have not had a bad experience yet. Everyone is lovely.
I was there picking up a instrument for my grandson The associate in the store was very helpful an courteous. For me it was a good experience
I had very bad experience with this store, firat I have been a customer for more than three years, one time my credit card did not get through and they send me a letter in the mail I contacted them as soon as get the letter but they charged me a late fee!!!
Second each time I walk to this store I need to spend at least 30 minutes due to the staff shortage, one only employee there and she responsible for two registers and phone!!
Last time I went to exchange my daughter instrument it took more than one hour !! Again only one employee there and she said the system is slow and suggested twice to me to leave and come back!
Never come back here again.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. My son left the bells at school over the summer. They wanted $250.00 in lost instrument fees and wouldn’t take the instrument back until the equipment was with it or the fees were paid. I explained that I am now out of state and have no contact with my son’s mom and have very little chance of getting the missing parts back but would try if they would accept it as is. They wouldn’t! They said if I tried to leave it, they would call the police. I left if anyway! I will never use this place or recommend them to anyone else and will make it a life mission to hurt their business.
Worst experience . Executives are giving different answers on rental instruments . Very bad experience
19. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Maricopa County , Arizona , United States
I worked with Brendan (sorry if I spelled it wrong) in the repair shop. It is the only place I will use from now on. I had to get a guitar completely rewired after I messed it up, and he had it ready for me the next day. When I showed up, he explained exactly what he did. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I would definitely recommend him to anybody.
Everyone at the store was super cool and friendly. Brendan, the guitar tech, is a master of his craft!
Great store and they are a Mesa boogie dealer. They matched the online prices and I got a great deal on a Mesa Mark V. The owner is a very fair man and is always happy to help out. Very accommodating and they definitely appreciate musicians. Buy locally and support these guys, especially if you’re a serious musician and want to up your game with a Mesa amp or one of their boutique guitars.
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
I have been coming to this music store for years since I was a child. I know that their prices are higher than ordering online, but I’ve still paid their higher prices to support them. Today I came in with a question about how to get a simple cleaning rag, which was stuck, out of an instrument. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude did not answer any of my questions, told me that no one in the entire store had any experience with this sort of question. Sorry to say, but I will not be giving my business to the store any longer. I would recommend milano’s music, or ordering online.
I’m renting a clarinet and they gave it uncleaned (had old spit) and with broken parts. Horrible customer service. My tried fixing the first rental, but after a week, they just returned it without fixing anything.
DO NOT shop here, the employees are rude, the owner is rude, their selection sucks, not even half of what they had even a year ago. Quality has gone way down hill. It won’t be long till they’re gone.
