My daughters love going to dance every week at Starbound Performance for dance classes. It’s truly a wonderful place.
We love Starbound SO much! They have a HUGE variety of classes and are very reasonably priced. They have a family unlimited plan that makes classes for multiple children very affordable. My boys LOVE it! The teachers are excellent and Ms. Jennifer, the owner, is so kind and caring. You can tell that teaching children is her true passion. We also love all of the outreach opportunities the kids get to participate in.
4th year with starbound Performers and couldn’t be happier!
This was the worst experience I ever had. This place dosen’t even deserve the one star. I joined the ballroom class for teens about two years ago. At first everything was fine and I really enjoyed it. After finding out we were performing at half time at a Orlando Solar Bears game I was really excited. I was told I had to learn how to do a cartwheel as it was part of the routine. Even though I explained to the teacher Ms.Hilary that I couldn’t do a cartwheel and that this was my first dance class she said I should learn and practice how to do one by myself. After I spent weeks trying to learn how to do a cartwheel in heels I felt like I finally nailed it. On the last day of practice before the show she pulled me aside to inform me that I wouldn’t be a part of the show because I couldn’t do the cartwheel. I tried to tell her that I was practicing and did know how to do a cartwheel and could show her right now but she kept insisting that it was too late. I couldn’t believe it. I had spent weeks practicing the routine and cartwheel I was devastated. My mom was extremely upset and insisted to speak with the owner. The owner basically insulted me telling me that she watched me in practice and that I didn’t know what I was doing and didnt put me in the show. This was honestly such a horrible experience and I STRONGLY recommend not coming here.
Horrible owner, very unprofessional and unorganized. I highly recommend you find a different studio, ANY studio other than Starbound Performers.
They don’t have safety concerns for their dancers, having them dance on concrete with no raised floor, which is damaging to their bodies.
Also their attention to detail and following guidelines is very poor, having the studio look bad in public because they don’t want to follow the rules is very childish and unprofessional.
It was my first time going into this store at first glance the store has beautiful guitars at an affordable price! Than I was welcomed by a very nice gentleman he was very friendly and asked what can I help you with? I had a problem I was going to audition for musical theater and I needed sheet music for a song I explained to the man of my predicament and he immediately jumped to try and help. The man tried his hardest trying to help me out he was very patient with my situation and made sure to help me. The end result was he not only wrote me the sheet music for free he made sure I was satisfied with the music and even played it right in front of me! I would definitely recommend this store for any music problem and for make sure to ask for the employee named Pete.
Nice guys. Quality guitars: affordable and high end
Good place to take care of your musical needs
For the several thousands of dollars my family has spent at this business, I expect Pete to be friendly/pleasant towards us(at the very least), for life, but he clearly can’t maintain that. He started acting rude towards my mom some years back, and now me. For no apparent reason. I hope that keeping that sour attitude of yours is worth losing 20+ year customers who often went out of their way to spend money at your establishment and stay local. Weird way to treat people who earned you money. Avoid. He’s one of those guys who thinks everyone is a “democrat”. Super solid reason to push customers away.
Amazing are the only words that come to mind. I came to the store with simple questions and walked out with a new guitar. Owner is competitive on pricing and all new purchases come with free lesson. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. This place is a must
Rick and his staff have always been very helpful in picking and purchasing items. Very curtious and welcoming!!!
Very great experience at the music store in Clermont! My 2nd time getting my strings switched out and it was such a great job done! The guy who was restringing my guitar even polished my frets!
Left them guitar to glue the neck, the estimation was way above market, that’s OK. I’ve decided to go to other store but during pick up I found scratches here and there. Lucky me-made a video when I did bring a guitar the 1st time. I am just disappointed- waste a month and no result. They did polish and removed scratches (not all as I found out in another store). Not a bad store with various instruments new and used, I even bought a bass, but I do not trust their guitar master. Rick is a good guy but the master is a 3rd party that occasionally appears and takes guitars home, where I guess and damage mine.
Rick was warm & friendly & it seems to have a nice stock of instruments. Tucked in the corner of the Staples building so it’s easy to drive right by without seeing it. Very little sheet music for vocalists so if that’s what your looking for don’t bother. They have an open mic night every 1st Saturday so I will come to one & see what it’s like.
Their pricing is ridiculous. $250 for a used Ibanez acoustic that’s missing the electronics? That guitar sells for $350 brand new!! Also, after reading the reviews, I would bet $100 that most of the 5 star reviews were made up by the owner. Absolutely pathetic.
I dropped off my instruments for a tuneup. I was quoted $280 and I said of course! Never had a problem until I went to pick them up! Two individuals whom I’ve never seen before were at the counter. My instruments were sitting aside ready for pickup. I told the man who asked how much I was charged $280. He goes to the back, gets someone else and she never addresses me but questions him in obvious skepticism $280 for all of this? She proceeds to go in the back, as if she’s out of range of my hearing, to call the owner and verify if I was telling the truth. Why would I lie? $280 is not a little bit. Then she proceeds to say we just wanted to make sure because we weren’t told. I should have been able to come in with my tickets, ID, and money and pick up my instruments! Not have to wait because of whatever PREJUDICE these people feel! That exchange alone is why I’ll NEVER return here! I’ll pay whatever for my instruments.
Edit–Response:
Rick B.,
You are correct–you were NOT there. I am aware that you are the owner and as the owner you FAILED to communicate with your employees. Either way, there were failures through no fault of my own. I shared MY experience, which you were not present for and you have ADMITTED was your fault. SHAME ON YOU! This ought to be a learning lesson in communication so that these FAILURES do not happen again in the future! DO BETTER!
Long drive for nothing…called in advance to ask if they had what I was looking for available, “yeah, come in and check them out” is what I was told. I even looked online to see what was available. Got to the store and the music was Soo loud! The guy finally came over to help and actually had no real knowledge what so ever about the product he was trying to sell. I went out of my way to avoid a big box store and shop local..a MUSIC STORE and I knew more about the product from what I had scoured on google/Amazon.
Ended up ordering something on Amazon as a shot in the dark at least it had data I could go off of.
Would never suggest stopping in for any music needs. Sad.
