Love their hours only place to get bait after 5 PM. Friendly staff.
Knowledgeable and friendly.
Good minnows
Great place
By far the worst experience I’ve ever had in my 35 years of buying bows! I’ve have never seen such poor service in my life! It’s a shame that one star is as low as I can go. Doesn’t even deserve that.
Was a good shop back when they would actually open. Went on a friday, Saturday Sunday and Monday last week, closed everytime I went. Went this weekend at 4:00 and closed. Figure you could at least change your sign or order hours online. Pathetic they’re not even open for a full shift any day, not to mention closing early or not even opening on a weekend.
Need someone there who knows bows better and how two work on them
3. McDonald’s
Address: 400 1st St, Milan, IL 61264 , Milan , Illinois , United States
This store has improved so much, has crew members that could teach what customer service is supposed to be
Love it!
Kid-friendliness: Asked for a plain hamburger, and they made it correctly!
Was Great, food was hot and the workers were really friendly. Super clean environment TX
Need help with their sting fries, less salt more potato, hard of hearing, enjoyed a free caramel sundae, still missed part of my order.
Ok food
Since they are remodeling this place, I think it looks great! It does take some time for food to arrive and I feel really bad for the cashier who misheard me for when I ordered something extra. The manager did apologize and give me the extra food for free with no attitude. They haven’t messed up my order once and I hope to come here more often than the Mc D’s in East Moline. I enjoy how more comfortable I can feel when I walk in there.
Its McDonald’s. If you score it higher you’re 12 years old.
Drive thru @ 4pm on a Sunday. Staff interaction lacked friendliness. Requested ketchup with the order. No ketchup in the bag. Luke warm fries.
Unable to produce what was actually ordered an irritating amount of the time.
4. Sam’s Music
Address: 193 16th St, Rock Island, IL 61201 , Milan , Illinois , United States
Andrzej and his team of 3 moved my Baldwin SD-10 9 ft concert grand professionally and took perfect care of her. They really knew what they doing. They were careful to wrap the cabinet and also took extra care with the leg removal and set-up as my model has tricky double locks. After set up Gene whom he brought with, made sure to check the action to see if anything had settled during moving the instrument. Andrzej even played some Chopin after! It sounded beautiful.
I can tell Sound Conservatory really cares about pianos, and the work they do. These are real piano movers and musicians; not amateur furniture movers. Your instrument is in safe hands. I even felt comfortable on this move to walk away and do other tasks while they completed the move.
Recommended ….best move I’ve ever had with a 9ft concert grand.
I purchased my first piano from Andrzej at the Sound Conservatory and I don’t think the experience could have been any better. Andrzej is incredibly knowledgeable and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Very honest and upfront every step of the way. We now have a beautiful piano in tiptop shape that we are very proud of. I would highly recommend this company to anybody without hesitation.
I had an instrument repair done. My flute’s cork came out suddenly and I was in a hurry to fix it. I called late and was helped as soon as I got there by the nice staff. I would highly recommend visiting.
7. Sound Foundation Woodworking Academy
Address: west, 1130 W 15th Ave, Milan, IL 61264 , Milan , Illinois , United States
Great place! I really enjoyed the cutting board class, makes the perfect holiday gift!!
Mark is a great instructor that will guide you in the right direction, but never limit your creativity. The facility has anything you would need to create your perfect wooden masterpiece. Mine happened to be a few custom shelves that were not available anywhere else.
I have taken three of Mark’s classes, they all have improved my woodworking skills, they were well worth the cost and I’m looking forward to many more classes.
8. Ragged Records & Music
Address: 311 1/2, 21st St, Rock Island, IL 61201 , Milan , Illinois , United States
I love this place, can’t feel any better anywhere else
Excellent costumer service. I bought a record with no inner sleeve and gave me a new inner sleeve and outer sleeve. Prices are fair. Keep up the great work.
Worth the stop if you’re searching for vintage records and CDs. This shop has so much untapped potential.
Large selection.
Small new/used record store with fairly large selection. I purchased several records and all were in great condition with reasonable price points.
9. Mr Ed’s Liquor Store & Tap
Address: 127 4th St W, Milan, IL 61264 , Milan , Illinois , United States
Nice place. Great service and full of friendly people.
Nice neighborhood bar!
Decent. Felt welcome. Need that from a new bar
Fun, it’s mellow and socialize.
St. Ed’s is the highlight of Milan, IL.
Very nice and quaint little bar. Bartender was super nice and fun. The regulars were nice too.
Good prices to go for a few drinks and good conversation and comrodery.
The female bartender on Thursday nights, does not belong behind the bar.
My visit was pleasant and informative. I had a great sales person help me with making a purchase decision. Very professional yet easy to talk with. I left your store smiling and excited knowing you were available for any music needs I might need.
Very good reps, great selection, timely responses, and really great store for all your local musical needs.
Great customer service!!
Good instruments, and good service
Friendly service and top of the line musical merchandise make Griggs music a nice place to shop .
Great place. Has what you need in the instrument line usually.
I turn over my clarinet to be repaired (the cork). 4 days later they say they’re done, but I take a look at home and they didn’t do Jack and the cork is actually worse than before! Dirty money grabbers.
Overpriced and rude employees. Go to West music instead! Employees there are friendly and helpful! Bought a violin string and charged me nearly double than what I pay at West music. Stay clear from this store. When I returned the string, the guy who did the return was very rude and condescending. I won’t ever do business with them again.
Rude and dismissive, I will never return.
15. Happy Joe’s PIZZAGRILLE – Milan
Address: 909 4th St W, Milan, IL 61264 , Milan , Illinois , United States
Everyone definitely deserves a break and patience. I am sorry my original review forgot to be more human. I appreciate having nice places like Happy Joes. I am sorry I was not more understanding of the short staff situation. I will definitely give your location more patronage. Sincerely a life long Happy Joe Fan
Joe’s has greatly expanded their menu, adding steak and seafood entrees and creative appetizers. We were there for a debate watch party and wound up with some nice craft beer, a Little Joe for each of us and we split a large portion of pulled pork nachos.
Great buffet!
Good beer selection and great tenderloins!
Plenty of seating and a large bar area. We ate on the buffet, some of the pizza seemed dried out. Everything tasted pretty good. Ice cream was 99¢ when you order buffet lunch ($9.85).
Decent food for an alright price! Nice place for a birthday party.
Smelled horrible, 30 minutes to place an order
I like Casey’s better
Parking: It wasn’t really packed and there was nowhere to park
16. Shumaker Guitar Works
Address: 1501 N Harrison St, Davenport, IA 52803 , Milan , Illinois , United States
Thad is a very friendly person and quite knowledgable about every aspect of guitars.
Great service! Love that a local guy is out there helping the community. Very knowledgeable of all products. Offers lessons at an awesome price!
Thad is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He’s my go to music man and never lets me down.
This shop reneged on a purchase that we had negotiated for 3 guitars and 2 amps. Reason given was that he had thought about it for the 4 days after the agreement was made and just couldn’t make enough from the deal. Unfortunately, that delay put my college-bound son without time to get these sold before heading back. That is a huge blow to a student, no matter how cool everybody was about it.

Soup and salad bar is simple, clean and full all the time for all dinners. Stop by for lunch for a great break in your work or shopping day.
Delicious, homemade food.
The very BEST corn beef and cabbage meal I’ve ever had! Tender and delicious! Irish brownie had no flavor. Will try key lime pie next time.
Excellent waitresses, friendly personnel, breakfast anytime and decent food!!
Nice place for lunch or dinner
Excellent Food
I got fried chicken, and couldn’t find the meat. All breading and dry.
Didn’t care for food. They crossed it off bill and then went to register and they charged me 6.50 for my bowl of soup. Waitress was very nice !Not the host. She was not friendly at all. Won’t be back! Salad bar very dirty food mixed in with each other and even dried up pickles
I eat out all the time at local restaurants and always give credit where it’s due. I went last Friday for lunch with a family member (They were not busy). We ordered and quickly our food came out. The salad was lettuce, a little cucumber, three croutons, and two slices of tomato that wasn’t yet ripe (I pushed those to the side). I asked for a little cheese to sprinkle on top (added cost of .75 cents). My main course was a mushroom swiss burger. The mushrooms were not fresh but mushrooms from a can or jar (yuck). The bun was far bigger than the burger patty. Fries were excellent. I guess what bothered me the most was our waitress. (Was she just having a bad day???) She never made eye contact. When she delivered our food, she also left our tickets. I asked for extra napkins, she delivered the napkins and to-go boxes. At this point I hadn’t even taken but two bites. We never saw her again! I did take note on how she treated the table next to us that had an older couple. She was too very short with them and forgot entirely their salad and soup they ordered before their main meal. I guess in this case the restaurant name should not of been Welcome Inn but Welcome Out. Maybe better luck next time…. If I go. Lots of great places to eat at in the QC area. Also, they have recently updated their menu. Less to choose from with higher prices. I don’t hold that against them as that is the norm for all restaurants during this time.
20. Futureappletree Studio 2
Address: 311 21st St, Rock Island, IL 61201 , Milan , Illinois , United States
