Love this place and the awesome people that work there!
It would be nice if management didn’t pass such quick judgment. When we first walked in and said we had some equipment to sell, before we could say we wanted to buy anything, we were told that they were too busy to look at the equipment and that it “wasn’t a good time for us right now to try and sell here”. It wasn’t until we said we were going to buy something as well that they even seemed interested in assisting us. While they looked over the equipment the associate helping us was making snide remarks, which put us off from ever coming back to this location. I understand how stressful retail is when it gets busy, but always remember your customer service skills. I would like to thank the young lady who was at the register next to us, I think her name was Danny, she was very knowledgeable and personable throughout the entire time we were there. Maybe there’s something others could learn from her example.
Great help from the staff.
Nice staff, great place to chill out
If I could give half a star I would. The employees there are disrespectful and genuinely harassed me for wanting to sell my pedals. If being disrespectful wasn’t enough, they’re incompetent, spent half of my time there listening to them arguing back and forth about a product they lost. When they finally agreed to buy my stomp pedals they nearly burnt one out with the wrong voltage and couldn’t figure out how to operate the other, to which the employee finally admits he doesn’t know how to use a guitar to begin with. I definitely won’t be returning and whole heartedly recommend just shopping with SweetWater instead.
TLDR; The employees are rude and have no clue what they’re doing. Try SweetWater instead.
Long wait
Just left there… Apparently, no one at the Guitar Center can fix or replace a guitar string. We were told to come back in a few days for their tech to be in store. Shouldn’t that skill be a requirement for a guitar center employee? Got the feeling they didn’t want to help. They just didn’t care…

I have not used them but I did speak to them regarding the transportation of a Baby Grande Piano and they were very nice, knowledgeable & helpful so I do plan on using them in the future because of this. Will give another update once I’ve used their services.
Very helpful.
I have started to look at the cost of purchasing a new piano. Broussard’s carries a great line of Baldwin pianos, as well as Yamaha and Hamilton. They have beautiful used pianos, as well. The pricing was reasonable, and delivery, setting, and tuning were included in the purchase price. I was also pleased to learn the offer lessons at a very affordable price.

Kevin is a master tech. You won’t find better than him. Skilled, knowledgeable, friendly, thorough. He does it all. Re-frets, fret repair, neck repair, setups, intonation, neck adjustments, refinishing, finish repair…etc.
I buy, sell, trade a ton of guitars. In the last 6 months I’ve gone through over fifty guitars. Every once in a while you’ll run across one where the previous owner tried to be tricky and cover up massive problems that aren’t always noticeable right off of the bat. So far I’ve had two guitars that i thought were beyond repair and Kevin had them back to like new condition in almost no time at all. I’ve taken him simple setups and got back a model of what a perfectly playing guitar should be asking with being ultra clean and lusterously shiny. He may charge a little more than the others but when you drop your guitar off with him you don’t have to worry about getting your guitar back dinged up and missing parts like some big box stores with the word “center” in their name… That sells guitars. If you want a personal tech that you can trust and use for life this is your go to guy.
Replaced two high end Les Paul nuts perfectly. Highly recommend.
Great service. Great people. Best in Mobile.
Good service , repair done while I waited
Went in to buy a snark tuner they didn’t have one so they sold me a Yamaha clip on tuner it’s a piece of trash

Great guys. Got a guitar a while ago and the price instore differed from their listing online but they honored the listing’s price I saw which was lower. Also got 2 pedals today and got some things with the order. Can’t tell if I annoy the guys but they’re great and seem to be very knowledgeable.
Our son takes drum lessons at Mobtown Music and has really enjoyed learning the different music genres. We are so happy with the progress he’s made and how excited he is to go to lessons each week!
We are super grateful for his Drum Instructor. Love how he changes things up and keeps it fun and interesting! If you are interested in drums, Sal Canzone at Mobtown MUSIC is your guy! Very good with kids and pushes for growth in such a positive manner! HIGHLY recommend!!! He is so knowledgeable in all genres of music and is full of positive energy! The best!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff with quality instruments to match.
Buyer Beware! The owner, Brett Harrington, is a liar and fraud. He’s the kind of person who claims to have shipped a guitar while knowing he never had any intention of doing so; therefore, making a customer wait 5 months to get it resolved through no help from him. It brings me no pleasure posting this, but felt obligated to let the public know.
L store
This business is still currently open and operating at a new location in Semmes, AL. I would advise anybody to steer clear of Brett Harrington and Mobtown Music. He is a dishonest businessman, if he is even worthy of that title. I signed a contract with them for them to sell a couple items on consignment for me. Brett Harrington claimed the items sold and he would issue my payment to me. It has now been over 2 months and I have not received my money. He has ignored countless phone calls and texts and lied to me numerous times about getting the money to me. He always has a new excuse. I finally reached him on the phone a couple weeks ago, which required calling from a completely different phone number because he won’t answer my calls and he stated the the buyer of the items payment didn’t come through. This makes no sense at all because the payment should be reviewed by Mobtown music before the items leave the store. So now with this new excuse, I still have no money for the items that I can no longer get back and I am not very happy about the way this nightmare experience has gone down.
